Rear, 221 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000, Australia, Perth
Bustling, old-school watering hole over 2 floors with a beer garden & balcony, plus bistro dishes.
Private function, secluded and amazing venue that is a step back from the city. Great place to have a spot in the city centre all to yourself
Rigbys is a simple pub with simple food. Its always nice to either eat inside or outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its not 5 star dining but theres plenty of other places for that. They have different specials on particular days and events in the evening that look like fun. Where else can you get a steak and chips for just under $11?
Like a little Engish pub has been picked up and dropped amongst St Georges Tce. Worth going too.
Great place to stop and veg out. Beaitifull setting and extra great manaqued gardens.
Decent place but they dont do Martinis or serve single malt whisky.
Jaz, Simone & Greg make such a great team. Service was spot on and the food was Fantastic.
Great show last night. Excellent service too. On arrival I thought an outside formal, function would be cold but the set up was fantastic with heaters placed strategically. Dee Dee was an amazing MC. The burlesque show was an eyeful & colourfully expressive. Diverse acts with humour, dance, beautiful costumes & music. The 2 piece band kept the entertainment flowing nicely and provided opportunity for our dancing between courses.
Went there for the fringe great atmosphere and good drinks but didnt eat
Food is below average and not inexpensive. Go here regularly for team lunches because its close. We have been tolerating the food quality for ages as it has just been passable (5/10). Has got markedly worse of late. Grilled fish is usually a safe bet but lately the fish has been getting smaller and smaller and increasingly overcooked. Had the beef and Guiness pie recently to try it, was full of fatty and grisly meat and lacked flavour. Todays Chicken Parm was dry, tough and tasted old. Probably the final straw, time to find somewhere new.
Food was fair but the show was not what it was advertised all it was was overweight middle age women doing strip tease very dissapointing
Im not saying the beers watered down but it does taste. It gives off the vibe of a place that has passed its glory days and has a bit of a forlorn air about it.
Excellent evening spent over a "Murder Mystery Theme" night. Had a great time with friends and people participating in the show.Well done... Yes, the food was also very good. All good and bon-appetit.
This place has been here for a long time, same managemant as well. foods ok, beers cold, staff are polite
Rigby’s is the place to go for great entertainment, food and drink! It has many parts for various shows and private party bookings! Greg the owner and his staff are really truly great and very accomodating! I love the whole setup. It’s truly a great hidden gem!
Hmm cold expensive food. Would not recommend. Nice setting in terms of a historic building though.
Great venue for live music! We were there for A Fringe show, which was great! Beer was reasonably priced for an establishment on the terrace, however, ordering the nachos was a total blunder. Nachos were subpar, overcooked, marinara sauce instead of salsa, avocado paste of some sort instead of guac.
Coffee cart is open very early and does good coffee for a reasonable price.
It was a shock to see the place after being away for 10 years. The covered roof of the back area has no ventilation so it was very hot. There are some umbrellas which shows the management know they have a problem with heat/sun. Sentiment took me there but nothing to make me go back. Wont miss it when its gone which wont be long .
Nice bar and restaurant tucked away in the Forrest Place CBD. Watched a great show there as part of the Perth Fringe Fest
Great food, Great portions, so-so service. Overall a cheap and cheerful pub experience.
Can get a bit warm outside under glass, but cool inside... no fuss bar staff who get your pint effortlessly. Very pleasant watering hole.
Looking a little bit out of place now our CBD is becoming ultra modern. Good pint of Guinness still.
Food was cold and not fresh. Seems like they took the left over vegetable from customers plates the day before, placed them in the fridge and reheated them for our meals.Do not recommend!!
Hate to see this place named after Paul Rigby, previous cartoonist for The West Australian. His memory deserves better. My husband ordered a beer which was flat. On returning to the bar he was told that tap hadnt been used for 5 days. It was Heineken Light and today is Tuesday, so nobody drank Heineken over the weekend? Strange. I cant see how the person who drew the beer wouldnt notice it was flat as it was drawn. Very little head. There were very limited choice of wine by the glass and Im sure the glass I had came from a bottle that had been sitting opened in the fridge for some time. Not nice at all.We went there especially for the $10 lunchtime special. Husband had the steak, which he said was reasonably good, served with chips. I had chicken and chips which comprised of half a chicken with a big splodge of dark gravy. Yuck! Most of my chips looked like they had been some that were left over from the order before mine and had been sitting in the oil for quite some time. Very disappointing and wont be returning or recommending this place to anyone else.Perth has a huge choice of places to east so you have to lift your game if you want to survive! 😡
WORST FOOD. I have eaten here 3 times because its close to my work, and each time the food was awful. Overcooked frozen food that looks kind of like tinned dog food. The staff are SO rude, the obviously hate their jobs. Dont bother there are plenty of other places to go
Chilled out, out of the way pub with $9 pints and food specials everyday. Good if ya want a non pretensious spot outdoors to catch up with friends in the CBD. Nothing fancy but
Nice place with nice atmosphere. Could do with some stools and more benches in the beer garden for functions though.
Nice place to have a beer because its quiet and you have tables and chairs to sit and talk and have a good time with friends.
Great place for a group lunch.Dont waste your time (moneybuying soft drinks here though - ex-sy.
Rigbys Sell cheap steak under 11 as their signature with chips on the side. Complementary ketchup and BBQ sauses were provided with cold mineral water. Popular for working adults in the CBD to get a Pint to unwind after work.
Good food and very well priced. Rigbys pale ale $9
Good food (especially the beef & Guinness piegreat staff. Great entertainment
Went to a fringe event here. Was disappointed by the incredibly poor seating available (literally could not see most of the performance).Bar staff skipped past me several times to serve people that had only just arrived - got to watch part of the show through the bar window (a better view than the actual seating provided!)From what little i did see if the actual show.. it seemed ok... Bit hard to tell when you cant really even see it tho
Very good value meals - nothing over $20, and $9:00 pints are hard to find these days. Add to that the reason we went there was to see Laborastory - real scientists talking about their heroes - 6 superbly interesting speakers who could easily take a career shift into stand up comedy, at $15 entry, an all round great evening out for less than $50 each including parking in the King Street Car Park ($2 an hour!).What’s not to like? Well, the only problem was insufficient staff. We will certainly return! 😊
Cute spot to go after work. The whole building is under shelter which means you can sit outside Rigbys and not get wet!
Cheap beer. Not much else to say. Its a bit of a corporate pub for nearby businesses. Staff are friendly enough and they have some interesting/quirky theme nights as well.
Enjoyed the Faulty Towers Dining Experience. Lots of Laugh. The food was average. Wish we had more space to move at our table, we felt squashed. Overall, the show was tops, the food secondary.
Just went there for lunch. While the process seem reasonable the quality of the food is not great. My lasagna was soupy and full of carrot, the chips were undercooked and tepid. The soft drink was surprisingly expensive with 4.50 being charged for a small coke. I doubt well be back.
Basic but tasty pub food for a relatively quick sit down work lunch. Undercover seating with an outdoor feel.
Lovely old bar in middle of modern buildings .full of character. Perfect services. Nice food reasonable price.
We had a ball at Rigbys, the services was wonderful. Best value meal Iv ever had. Couldnt be more pleased.Really recommend coming too see all the exciting new shows as well.Perth needs more places like this!
Cool that this building is entirely enclosed within another building, but the bar lacks any atmosphere. Poor selection of beers at functions I have attended, but I think that may be more the function organisers than Rigbys
Liked it more when they had daily lunch specials (they used to have at least two cheap options). Now only steak and chips is for $11 ($1 more expensive than it used to be:)
Good food and nice staff. Lots of space for small events. They make it very easy to run functions there.
Used to be a regular for after work drinks, but has become a bit dated against all the new places popping up. Even though have refurbed the inside bar, tiling the space has not it any character back. Its still nice and casual in the big covered beer garden out the back though.
Food was simple and fast but tasty. Plenty of seating space for larger groups as well.
$20 for a chefs salad of 3 crumbs of feta, an un-appetizing amount of oil, some cold roasted pumpkin and rotting spinach. Not the first disappointment from Rigbys, but definitely the last.
Great pub tucked away in the heart of the city, well worth checking there website for upcoming events they host.
Laid back, good Guinness, plenty of room, not loud, outdoor (but coveredbeer garden. Its a hidden gem really
Awesome cheap friday lunch special. Get a couple of steaks in ya. The food is okay, being your standard pub food and the drinks are reasonably priced. Its really convienient for those that work in the CBD.
