Service on a busy Saturday was great! I was really disappointed with the food. Had the flash fried spinach and special deluxe pizza. The spinach was tasty but very greasy. The pizza crust was pre-made and tasted stale and burnt. I didnt sample my friends food but nobody was happy with any of it (pasta, eggplant). It was a bit crowded and loud but I guess thats to be expected. Sad to say I wont come back simply because of the food.

Was VERY DISAPPOINTED.3 of us left full plates of food. Brought out cold bread with frozen pats of butter. Ordered 2 way pasta. Both dishes were full of soggy overcooked pasta. Both served room temp. Salad had brown iceberg lettuce. The waitress asked if everything was okay. We flat out told her we didn’t like anything.Still charged us full price. Won’t be back.

First time here meeting up with friends. I Had to ask for my soda I ordered and got my salad before drinks. Ordered Diet Coke and was served Coke Zero and never told this was what I was going to get. Another waiter mentioned it when we asked for refill. The Salad had dressing dumped in center of pile of lettuce and way too much of it. Spaghetti and meatballs were very bland and over cooked. Would not eat here again.

Lunch special was a good value. Food was good, if a little bland. It may well be authentic Italian, but we would have enjoyed a more robust sauce.

First time eating on "The Hill" for me. My girlfriend is from around the area and knows this restaurant. I didnt. From the moment we stepped in the door. Everything from the Staff to the moment we got and had our dinner was great!!! Even accidentally left my glasses on the table. Our waiter found us just as we were getting into our car and gave them to me. He didnt have to do that but did. Thats being taken care of. Thank you and thank you again for the wonderful service and great great dinner!!

This one pains me as I had some good memories back in the day. Before last night I hadnt been back for 15 years as the quality had gone down, and it was only decent that previous trip. Unfortunately, it has kept moving in the wrong direction 😒. The toasted Rav was not good, and its a staple for the area. All three of us had a pasta dish, and all three were cold and bland. Staff worked their tails off, and the bread was very good.

Not great. Better restaurants on the Hill. This has cheaper prices than others! Ser ice was very mechanical.Tiramisu was pretty good. Pizza crust too thick, beef steak seems pressed and fried, green bean overcooked.

Took over an hour to get her food. And a couple of friends were with us never even received their salad. All around great food but service is questionable at best.

Another mainstay family restaurant. The decor is charming, with red and white checkered table cloths, funky little sculptures and bric-a-brac all around, and tables that are crammed do close youre almost rubbing elbows with your neighbors. You feel like youre in Italy! While their reputation surrounds their pizza, the sandwiches and Italian entrees are equally good. Another notable is their Fishbowl beer glass (so called because its large enough to serve as an aquarium!).

The seafood noodle are terrible. The seafood are frozen ones and in bad qualities. The clams and crabs taste like rotten fish. I had a really bad stomachache after eating their noodle.

Went this pass Saturday my husband, my daughter and I. We were seated and ordered....our drinks were nice....we order appetizers toast ravioli...and calamari. Both over cooked and the ravioli tasted like chef boyardee...our entrees tasted like they came straight out the microwave. Wont return!!!!

walked in last night with a group of 7. we were asked to wait while the hostess got us a table. we were totally fine with that and sat outside in the waiting room. a couple minutes later the manager (?came to get us and looked annoyed to have such a big party. he took us directly to the back room where the servers dry and roll silverware so that was awkward. the server and busser had an attitude like they weren’t happy to have us there. we were told that they were “super busy” and “super behind”, almost like we were last to get service because we were in the back room. we asked for bread and was literally given one half of a roll, for 7 of us. we politely asked for more and was again given one half of a roll. it was not until we had our entrees (the food was good!that we got baskets of bread. it took us 3 hours from start to finish. and on top of that the fact that we were sat in the back room while other people came in and were being sat in the dining room. super disappointing and didn’t feel like i was treated as customer.

I messed up. I saw 4.2 stars with 1700 reviews and thought yeah its good. Nope. Threw away the pizza and manicotti. Tasted frozen with no flavor. Read other similar reviews that say the same thing. Just threw $63.27 out the window.

Went on a Wednesday night with a group of 12 people - no reservation which was our bad. However, we were found seating, delivered our drink orders & received bread promptly. It took a while for our food order to be taken & food served but we weren’t in a hurry & enjoyed the time to catch up with one another! Our server was right on top of it with refilling drinks, etc. The group ordered a variety of items…. sandwiches, pizza, pasta, etc. Every single person said their food was excellent. My husband and I shared a pizza and baked ravioli and were very pleased with each. I would definitely recommend but go when you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy!

This place is the first restaurant on The Hill I’m giving a one star review. How do you screw up toasted ravioli in St. Louis? Without the sauce, I thought I was eating cardboard. The chicken parmesan did not even come close to saving the dinner. The chicken was super rubbery. The worst restaurant on The Hill so far. How it has 4.2 stars is a mystery. I was pretty mad about the bill, because this dinner was not at all close to being worth it.

The toasted ravioli excellent not cooked and fried until its burnt like a majority of restaurants usually do. The pizza excellent and the famous Parmigiano dish is excellent on top of that the ice cold fish bowl of riggazzis house ale excellent! Such a big menu for evreyone will be back here many more times. So sad all the negative reviews would judge this historical st louis staple on one single visit

Not sure whats so great about this place. Service was extremely slow and most acted as if they didnt want to be there. The cheese on my salad tasted exactly like the cheese slices out of a lunchable. I think I had about 5 bites of my meal before giving up on it.

Had reservations for 12 still an hour wait to be sat, and another 1 1/2 for food to be taken to the table, bartender when ordering at the bar before sat couldnt make drinks right had to ask 3x for her to make it right still took her after making 10 other drinks to remake. Craziest worst experience 12 people had this place is nuts! And it was my birthday.... Fun

I was married to an Italian for 20 yrs, so finding an Italian restaurant that has the same caliber as his moms cooking is almost impossible. I thought the red meat sauce was too watery. If I go back, Ill get Alfredo sauce & see how it was. Overall, it was ok.

I dont usually like to post negative reviews, especially after working in the industry for years, but we ordered, received undercooked food (including a meat item, which was super unsafe), and called Rigazzis to discuss the matter. The two people I spoke to were dismissive of our concerns, said they couldnt help, and wouldnt refund our money until the GM came in the day after. There was no solution offered (come back in, we will actually cook the food this time), and they seemed very frustrated we even called to ask for our money back. If you are looking to avoid an unsafe dining environment and/or avoid illnesses related to unsafe food prepareation, steer clear of Rigazzis.

I understand when popular restaurants have a long wait but it was not worth the wait. The staff was so busy, those pour souls were constantly winded. The toasted ravioli was still slightly raw because it was barely fried and also had an identifiable filling. I got the eggplant parmesan and tasted like it came out of a microwave meal. The chicken was bland and the vegetable were drowned in oil. For a place that was rated so highly, we were so sorely disappointed.

Thought this was going to be a great Italian restaurant but was more than dissapointed. All food was served cold where olive oil was already congealed and both meatballs and sauce had zero Italian seasonings. No parsley, oregano, basil...nothing. Our young server was friendly & pleasant.

I was told this place is must try as it is on the Hill and it’s one of the authentic Italian diners. We reserved lunch for 8 during holiday weekend. When entered, we were pointed to the long table without anything set-up. But food was great, many choices for kids and attentive service. You also have to try the desert menu and cannolis.Plenty of parking outside and in the parking lot. Some outside seating available.

Came in for vacation and this restaurant was highly recommended. We ordered something different for each of us to try and see the difference. Four different dishes. The food was pretty bland and service was ok. There were a lot of people there so locally this place probably does very well. I guess I was thinking this would be a realistic Italian food and feel. Not so much.

A classic, I think my parents went on dates here back in the 60s. Giant fish bowl beers, toasted ravioli, and red sauce Italian that is flavorful and delicious. The pizza has a great crust with a touch of sweetness, and the servings of the entrees are generous. It has a classic atmosphere, and the servers were attentive and welcoming.

So I would like to start off by saying the food each time I have been to Rigazzis has been absolutely delicious!! We were a party of 9...3 families.. this time and back in February were a party of 12..3 families. In February when we visited it was for our twins 16th Birthday dinner and we had the best time!!! Our waiter was Wally and he was absolutely wonderful!!!! His knowledge of the food and history of the restaurant was remarkable!!! So we thought ok it was so great lets go for my sisters in laws birthday!! Well this time was the absolute opposite. It was so terrible and disappointing that we..3 families. .will never return. Our waiter this time was Joey..I believe. We were there for 45 minutes before we even got our drinks and when I say drinks I mean Dr Pepper. We did receive water from his helper but did not receive Bread until we had to ask for it (after we got our drinks)and then for three families(9 peoplewe got one basket with bread in it and the lady that was the bartender brought it and said "we just took the butter out of the freezer but the bread is warm you just might have to hold the butter between your palms for a few minutes to warm it up." So here we are 1hr into our visit there and we get our appetizers, they were 👍 good!! Then another 30 minutes goes by and we get our food. Food was great...delicious!! Two times the waiter did apologize for it taking so long because they got a new system. Yet on the other side of the restaurant was Wally and his tables were not taking long at all..a family of four that sat down approximately 30 minutes after us already had their dinner served and we had to get other workers to get us the things we needed and he only asked one time we he brought our food.... finally .....if we needed anything else. Never returned to fill drinks or anything like that. Absolutely terribly disappointed. By the way we did request Wally when we were waiting 30 minutes for our table to which we had called ahead. And I get it fcfs. Just in awe that after Februarys experience that we had that awful awful experience. 🙄 Never Again.

Gross food conditions; ordered the pasta siciliano and it was absolutely swimming in oil, could’ve been a soup if I didn’t know any better. Went to the bathroom, witnessed a man dressed in a chefs uniform use the restroom and left without washing his hands. Food took far too long to come out for what it was.Only redeeming factor was the servers; we were seated immediately and the waiters were very patient and friendly.Overall was a bad experience, only thing keeping it from being terrible was the waiters service. Will not be returning.

Dont order the pizza. Dry with an odd cheese that sticks to the roof of your mouth. Took 45 minutes just to order and felt like no one was covering our table. The cannelloni filling was delicious!

Given the reviews, I was very surprised by the food quality. The cannoli were soggy not crisp. The lasagna was formless, a loose pile of overcooked noodles and bland sauce. In my opinion it tasted like a frozen lasagna from the grocery store. Also vegetables in the Primavera type dish were not cooked fully. Crunchy broccoli and cauliflower are not what I expected. Also the toasted ravioli were not breaded rather are noodles deep fried. The service team was very friendly and efficient.

First time to The Hill. Was told this is the oldest restaurant down there. Was pleased with a very well priced menu with many options. The place was packed, we made reservations the day prior and when we arrived we were taken right to our table in the middle of a full dinning room. The waitress was ok, not sure why it took so long for her to do simple things when she had an assistant and other people running her food. Kept blaming everything on being there since 11.That isnt an excuse for not being able to multi task and take our app and drink order at the same time. Left the table in the middle of taking our order when she finally came back to get that... Anyways, not about her and I wont let that knocked it down a star.

Rigazzis on the hill is one of my favorite places on the hill always enjoy their pasta great service we were next to the bar in a booth and truly enjoyed the professionalism of the bartender she was working her tail off plus keeping up with us she had a great work ethic great attitude and a sharp mine. She even caught somebody going out the door with a scooter and told the host you cant let them go out with those and sent the host after them to come in with it. All of us thought she deserved a raise granite we were not drinking and had all facilities engaged. As she did she .Saturday may 28 evening after the STL won against the Milwaukee Brewers

We visited on a Saturday for lunch. We were seated right away. We were served complimentary bread which was stone cold. I ordered a sandwich with fries. The sandwich was ok but the fries had zero seasoning. The best part of the restaurant was the decor, it is kinda eclectic. The servers were also nice and took good care of us. I probably would visit again if nothing else was available.

We had to wait 45 minutes longer then expected as they were severely understaffed. The server/kitchen forgot to make the main dish for my daughter so she had to wait 10 extra minutes after we received our food. Rule #1 of serving with kids - serve them first!

The service was good but that’s about it. When we first got there there the hostess placed us in a small little table with no place to put our baby even though we had requested a high chair and the other servers made us feel as though he was in the way. We then had his car seat on a chair across the table but then we had to move him on the floor after they needed that table. We just felt uncomfortable and in the way the whole time. Besides this, the food was not very good at all. We’ve been to several Italian restaurants on The Hill and this was by far the worst we’ve had. The pasta and pizza were okay but the garlic bread was horrible and I’m not usually too picky about my garlic bread. I would recommend going somewhere else if you’re looking for good Italian food.

Holy cow! Phenomenal! Everything we had was amazing. We ordered the toasted ravioli and I had the dish with the mixture of meat sauce and white sauce. So good! Enjoyable meal with family and friends. Fishbowls are cold and big. Pizza was solid and I had a daily all you can eat special. Generous servings, they give a large supply of bread when you sit down. Prices were very reasonable. 4 of us ate, with alcoholic beverages for about $100

Walked in and was waiting to be seated.. waitress sat people just walking in the door in no order. Got our seat… We ordered an appetizer after being greeted by the waiter. We also placed our order about 5-10 later. After almost 40 min..we asked about the order. The app finally showed up cold.Salad was lousy with no dressing. We asked twice and still got nothing. We’re still waiting on dinner…if it comes. This was the first time we were here and not sure we will be back.

The fried chicken was hands down the best Ive ever had. And growing up in the South, I do not say that lightly. The coleslaw was a nice surprise! Unique flavor and I really enjoyed that it was vinegar based rather than mayo. Husband ordered from the gluten free menu, which we were excited the restaurant offers. For the amount of food we received for the price, it was outstanding. Service was just how we like it...not hovering and not overly friendly in an artificial way either. Just right.

A St. Louis classic and always great food. The staff is polite an attentive and they always are keeping an eye out to refill your drinks or get what you request. Stopped in for a nice lunch today at the bar. Grilled Portobella mushrooms in butter and garlic, Beef Tortellini with their house salad and garlic bread.
