Rifwachter Aquariums in Katwijk aan Zee

Ze waren ooit netjes en een tijd weer niet vandaag was ik er even nou jonguh wat een puinzooi dooie vissen half dode vissen koraalbak vol met lange groene alg volop glasannemonen zaak is net overgenomen nou ik kom er niet meer voor vis of koraal echt te erg

Vandaag voor de tweede keer langs geweest. Wat een eerlijk en goed advies krijg je hier! Geen standaard “dierenwinkel” die je van alles aan probeert te smeren, maar echt eerlijk advies. Advies wordt ook op maat gegeven, waterwaarden worden gemeten en aan de hand daarvan zeggen ze welke vissen en planten je het beste kan nemen en hoe je deze kan verzorgen. Zeker een aanrader en ook het reizen waard (ik kom uit Den Bosch)!

Fantastisch aanbod, vriendelijk personeel. Helpen je echt aan iets wat bij je past!!

Mooie winkel, helaas wel een stuk kleiner geworden als vroeger. Wij waren er al een aantal jaar niet meer geweest en kwamen tot de conclusie dat de service en know how top is maar helaas niet de zaak zoals vroeger

Als beginners in aquarium land zijn wij bij een tuincentrum verkeerd geïnformeerd bij de aankoop van onze eerste vissen. Helaas meerdere vissen aangesmeerd, welke absoluut niet samen kunnen. Na die tijd zijn wij naar de rifwachter gegaan en sindsdien zijn wij vaste klant. Je wordt warm ontvangen, krijgt onwijs goede adviezen, personeel wil graag meedenken met de indeling van je aquarium en zijn de keer daarna altijd nieuwsgierig naar het resultaat. Service is altijd goed. We hebben nu verschillende vissen bij hun gekocht, welke allemaal nog leven en erg gezond ogen. Materiaal wat zij verkopen is altijd goed. Ze verkopen je geen onnodige rommel. Ze hebben de mogelijkheid om osmose en zout water te kopen, wat wij in elk geval een hele fijne optie vinden!

Geweldige winkel je wordt er fantastisch geholpen . Ze handelen altijd vanuit het perspectief van de dieren die ze verkopen en als zij vinden dat jij een slechte keuze maakt vertellen ze je dat ook . HeelBelangrijk!!!Ze nemen de tijd voor iedereen.Ik kocht een pomp maar naar een paar maanden begon te haperenvervolgens kreeg ik zonder te vragenmeteen een nieuwe.en

Prachtige zaak! Alles ziet er goed verzorgd uit en het winkelpersoneel is super vriendelijk en heel kundig. Zeker de moeite waard om hier vaker naar toe te gaan!

Gisteren woensdag 1juni naar de rifwachter gegaan.Door alle corona en dergelijke zijn wij hier lange tijd niet geweest.Toen wij aan kwamen stonk het ontzettend naar de petroleum het overheerste gewoon.Ook kwamen wij er achter dat de grote koralen stelling die vroeger in de midden stond weg was.Hier stonden stellingen met artikelen voor het zeewater gebruik.De vissen zagen er erg slecht uit , div vissen lagen helemaal verschoten van kleur en snel ademend op de bodem.Echt zo slecht zag het er uit dat ik hier niks gekocht heb.Toen wij vroegen of er ook ergens koraal stond was er een jongeman die ons echt snauwend te woord stond en wees naar een stelling en snauwde ja daar.In die bakjes zat echt alleen maar rommel , een chaotische bende.Hier kom ik echt nooit meer zonder van je tijd en zonde van je geld.Vroeger mooie zaak. It advertises itself as Europes biggest aquarium store. Its not too impressive though. Their plant collection is quite nice. The Kemp fish were all in tiny little displays. Also not a lot of decorations. Its a good store, but not all it promises.

So many fish and a very helpful friendly staff. They are not trying to sell sell sell. Very informative staff and clearly they are passionate about what they do.

Amazing service! Kind people. They really take their time for every customer, even though that means youll have to wait a little while before you get help. But thats alright. Would advise to avoid going in the weekend. They are a little bit busier then. Great variaty of fish, even in times like these were its hard to get specific breeds due to most imports being laid still. Good prices, great service and people. Had some complications with sick fish. And got refunded without trouble. Give good advice. Some fish are a little more expensive then the average price. But, the fish are healthy and have good quality. Price of shrimp, crabs and snails is lower then average. Would really recommend !

Unfortunately I live quite a bit away from this store but the few times Ive paid them a visit it was exemplary, a huge assortment (the largest in the country as they proudly state themselvesyes it CAN be a little busy even more so during this time, but I visit during the slower hours and always get fantastic help. The staff is great, they ask the proper check-list questions and flat out refuse to sell fish to folk who do not have an appropriate setup, but once youve been cleared, excellent service, knowledgeable staff and a quality of stock. During my last visit I bought a pair of honey gourami, four male guppys and a good start to a shrimp colony.The male gourami was missing an eye, we purchased it knowing it might not make it but where happy to see if it could, unfortunately it succumbed to stress in a few days, it did not recover from the move, we knew this could happen going in! Also called the store for help in case it could be saved, the medication did not help him but I can rest assured no other fish will get sick.The female is perfectly healthy and a joy to look at.The guppys are healthy too, unfortunately two of the males are very aggressive, but luckily I had an emergency tank setup so they could be separated without issue, the staff warned me beforehand and we discussed the stocking choice.Lastly, I was amazed with the quality of the shrimp, I got a few color variations of Neocaridina, they settled into their new home wonderfully and I didnt lose a single one during acclimation, they have started to molt only 3 days after settling in, very happy with them! Also the staff who helped us, I believe Kaylee, was extremely helpful and made sure to explain the acclimation process, I knew, but it was nice to be given time and advice from someone who has more experience for sure!All in all a great store, the only fish Ive had pass away was one already weakened that came with a disclaimer up front, almost never are there dead or sick fish on display and they are for sure doing all they can to keep people in the hobby in a way that does not harm the fish. Id say prices are mid range, there is something for everyone here. Thank you Kaylee!

Dont visit in busy time, specially in weekend , otherwise you will not get attention.. My experience not so good, I was looking for Goldfish but they usually doesnt keep much.. My goldfish died within week and starting from 1st day I realized that I have picked up a sick fish🙁but shop is good with variety of fish but you need to research to pick...

Got a male Borelli here a few weeks ago. A few of the dwarf cichlids were housed in really small tanks, though the fish looked healthy. Otherwise, very helpful personnel and a great selection of species at this store.

This used to be my favorite aquarium store in central NL (until I moved to the US). The building itself is worth a visit!

What an amazing salt and fresh water aquarium they have so much stock of everything you need. Friendliest knowledge staff and you must ask to see the large permanent aquarium tanks at the back. Just an amazing underwater adventure great to take anyone of any age. Once done have a coffee or a drink or eat upstairs.

A LOT of dead fish... also took them literally 50 minutes to assist me, while they walked in and out to grab their coffee ( the store employees ), decided to leave without buying anything. I will not return to this store.O, and putting a 1 meter shark in a 2 meter tank is NOT ok!
