Shabby-chic cafe with tropical decor by day and buzzy bar by night, with retro jazz and soul vibe.
Always fun, always lively and always there. Put on your red shoes!
What was once considered great destination has now become the skid mark on the underpants of Dalston nightlife. If you want to be harassed by attendees while bobbing along to unimpressive and nondescript music then this is the place for you.
Good for a dance. Shame they switched to horrible san mig. Means I have to drink spirits coz theyβve no normal booze I like any more.
Quirky bar, good vibes
Lizzie served me, as annoying as I am and she was a goat solid 5 stars for her alone, G O A T
Absolutely lit! Full of life and diversity, bring the right friends though ;)
Brilliant bar - great cocktails and Asian street food. And super friendly.
Cheap drinks, terrible DJs, great night out
NOT WOTH IT. Dont queue its not worth it!
Disappointingly Im leaving a negative review of this place. I wanted to go because its unique to have a place like this in a location with so much (potentially unknownhistory. There was a very long queue at 11:45pm with thorough security. For what? I do not know... After going inside after waiting for about 20 minutes, the music wasnt fun, there was a very long queue at the bar, and it was just very boring... We left after one drink. If you want to be around people who are pretending theyre having a good time, this place is for you.
Weird vibe. Grim venue with rude, aggressive and voyeuristic security men. Not a safe space at all. Many other better bars in Dalston to visit instead.
Great ambience... Absolutely delicious dumplings.
Very kind staff and good food and drinks clean everything okayπβ€οΈπππππππ€π€π€π€πππ God bless you all βοΈπβ€οΈ
Prime hackney. Disco, good crowd, good cheap drinks, great ambience. Put on some funky clothes and have a good time
Hipster place with fun vibes and great music. Also good pub snacks (dumplings and tofu fries were delicious!)
It was good music, floor was sticky and wet so hard to dance. However I liked the frozen cocktails π
Cheap cocktails (like Β£6 in Londonand great disco music! Had a blast!
Very surprising place! Especially if you go at night when the market is closed, you wonder where youll end up. But the atmosphere is warm, people are nice, dancing starts early and joyfully, cocktails are decent and cheap though very light, music is mostly great funk, but the DJ transitions are pretty poor ^^ anywhere always a good night, and dont forget to try the nice exotic food!!
Very quirky bar, loved the decor and the music......staff seemed a bit off thou
During the day Ridley Road is a great place to buy a big bowl of fruit for Β£1. At night, when the venders are gone and only a leftover fishy smell lingers, Ridley Road Market Bar becomes the highlight of the street. They have a fun small selection of drinks, better than average staffing, and a lively little dance floor with good DJs. Typical DJs there tend to play hits that get people dancing, but also arenβt afraid to veer out of the mainstream so you may find a new favourite dance tune there.Good place to go with a couple friends and possibly make some new ones. Itβs usually free entry. Donβt show up too late or you will be queuing in a one in one out situation on the street.
Had a great time with my friends here :friendly staff, great drinks, fab food
Amazing music, decent space π the frozen cocktails and the gin and blood orange are especially good
Really cool little bar, great music and cheap beer.
Love this place! The Taiwanese Dumplings are the best Iβve ever had in London! It was such a surprise to eat pot sticker mapo tofu dumplings. On another level!
Perfect atmosphere, lovely staff, excellent frozen cocktails, and great music. One of the security team can be a tad rude or abrupt at times, but the rest is great!
Good lil vibe happy place and enviroment staff attentive but in honesty i would not recommend the wine as the brand they use was not to our groups likeing atall....overall a place to end the evening in a chilled atmosphere but not somewhere to go for a proper drink!
Hello I would like to leave my feedback. The first time I was at the bar was last Thursday, I liked it so much that I came back on Friday. My intention of this review and congratulate one of the security guards unfortunately I do not remember her name. When it was ten to eleven they warned us that after 11pm glasses outside was not allowed. Then, at 11pm there was a man smoking and drinking, security told him as soon as you finish your cigarette please come in, glasses are not allowed outside. However he had a friend with him and that friend was not smoking. She very politely asked him to come in or leave the glass inside and come back because he was not smoking. But believe me she was very polite. And they started an argument with her. I explain it more than 3x the license and until 11pm. And the client didnt even want to know. In the end. After much dialogue she tried to explain, he was removed from the scene. I would really like to be able to remember her name and leave my congratulations, she does an excellent job, friendly, polite. My intention to do this review and make it clear that I saw the whole situation. Because some people think they are a customer, they are always right. Fact occurred 01/31/2020 I hope I could have helped
What a place. Always guaranteed a good night. The ginger mojito is a firm favourite and whether you want to drink, dance or people watch this place will definitely make you smile. Always good watching peopleβs faces as they walk down Ridley Road market wondering where on Earth theyβre heading before finding this hidden oasis.
Lovely to get a drink late night and then dance off till the morning. Also great pizza in the early evening if you are hungry!
I love coming here. Nice simple cocktails and frozen cocktails, as well as beers and all the usual. Dance floor and music is great.Bar staff are usually friendly. Before a certain time you can drink outside in summer which is great.Worth noting itβs card only.
Really nice bar to have a cheap drink or pizza. Good music, like disco or pop. Crow is really heterogeneous. Decoration is cool.tger is a terrace also. Something it gets really packed, if u come late u Will have to queue.
Just one more hipster bar...dalston used to be great but now it has changed so much...sad but its true. Anyway, pizzas are okay, drinks are not too pricey. The toilets are horrible tho...
Good vibes going on here with mainly 20s-40s age group. Beers and cocktails, great Mojitos π! It gets packed on the weekends, so if you dont mind major shoulder rubbing, you will love it here. Only bad point Id say is the location of the toilets, you have to squeeze your way through the busy dance floor everytime. Good points - No entrance fee, smoking area outside
Good 80s hits and reasonably priced drinks (Β£3.50 for a beer can). Great cocktails and really busy on the weekends. When I went it was a little too busy- slightly uncomfortable on the dance floor, but round the edges and near the bar you could move a little more. Nice place, and no entry fee..! Will definitely be going back.
A small but great place for a night with disco tunes. No matter the weather outside, the atmosphere is warm and funky. Because of the size of the place the line does get very long, so do your self a favor and arrive before 10.30 (you can also have one of their pizzas in that case).
Always plays the best music and has a reasonable mix of fun cocktails and βtrendyβ beers. Has a kitsch vibe - imagine your nan returning from a holiday to Miami in 1982 and dedicating her shed to a tropical chill out room. Slice girls pizza is delicious and although it often gets busy youβll deffo feel like itβs βyour little placeβ. I love it here.
Free entry..no queue before 11pm..lovely old music and amazing "strange"people... Cheap cocktails 5Β£ and can of beer 3Β£.
Loved this place. Great vibe, good music selection, nice pizzas and some great beers. Neighbourhood looks a bit sketchy at night though.
Sweet place with good prices for good drinks. Young crowd, all up for a fun time. The speakers are really bad quality and therefore the music is a bit noisy rather than pleasant. But other than that, a quirky bar with a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a try :)
I reckon this is my favourite bar in London. Great atmosphere, fun music, excellent ginger mojitos... Id probably be in here most weekends if I lived in Dalston. Arrive by 10pm on a Friday/Saturday or expect to queue!
This place has heart and edge in abundance. Good music, great vibes, lovely staff, good value well made drinks, what more do you need? The toilets are shite and they could sort that out, but hey you cant have everything...
Kinda fun place to swing to at the end of the night. Theres a bit of an office feel to the decor. Crowd didnt seem up for dancing but still had a good time. Bouncers were really fair and friendly.
Good drinks, great staff, funky music on a Friday. Great spot a bit hidden away. Get there early if youre with a group to get an inside table. If youre with a date the dance floor has you covered.
Chilled out affordable tiki bar. Good music, good pizzas, cheap beer. Cocktails arent amazing but they are only a fiver so cant complain.
This is classic Dalston! Great bar, the dΓ©cor and music are my faves ... Feels like a cool gathering in a portable classroom or office ... So wrong, so right.Drinks, staff, music and customers are amazing. Always fun to be had.
Great music and delicious and cheap slushy cocktails. Quiet in the early evenings but livens up a lot at night and the dance floor gets going. Staff can be a little surly and I wish theyd lighten up slightly. Service is fine though and all in all this is a good place.
Wonderfully chilled oasis in the centre of Dalston. 70s decor, funky jazz and pizza... what more could you ask for?! Vodka is off the menu, but otherwise doubles with a mixer is Β£5 all round.
Meet Dalstonβs finest party spot run by the Aussie born Kerry, Ridley Road Market bar. The perfect place for a fun filled night out with a non-pretentious feel, cheap double shot cocktails for a fiver and an all-are-welcome door policy. No wonder why weekend queues start as early as 9pm/10pm in winter/summer β itβs just too good. The ginger mojitos are a killer, so too are the alcoholic slushis or fresh juices served with generous helpings of rum or gin. When it comes to music, the local loveable spot plays everything from Motown, hip-hip, soul, and funk and is never one to shy away from a healthy helping of Maria Carey come the early hours. To find more unique and independent places to visit in London go to the Twenty Something London website!
An awesome bar in the middle of Ridley Road Market. LOVE the atmosphere and the music they spin here. Often, they have a stall at the front selling pizzas etc for the hungry ones. Β£2.50 for a red stripe. Definitely a place to go for a great night.
Fun venue to bring a group of mates for a dance. Its 70s themed and the decor reflects this. The drinks are relatively cheap for the area which is a bonus. There can be queues during busy periods, but the good news is theres an awesome hot dog stand for you to take advantage of.
