Petite establishment offering fajitas & other Mexican plates in a vibrant space with a bar & patio.
Burrito la parilla is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend randomly brought it home to me one night and I started moaning it was so good. 😂😂
ALWAYS Great! I love when Estella gets our table. She is so kind and friendly. My children and I love to see her when we come.
Probably our last visit here. Quality of food was very poor, as it was on a previous visit. It was either undercooked or over cooked. One menu had dried up salsa all over it. One chair was broken and almost caused an accident. Waitress was very sweet, but service was slow and she messed up the order. Also, overpriced; charge for a very small condiment cup of sour cream was $3.00. No Bueno.
The food was amazing! I enjoyed the environment and comfortable.
Delivery always a 45+ minute wait. Terribly disorganized and mismanaged. Avoid eating at this place, hopefully one day they can get it together.
Best Mexican restaurant in Acworth. Hole in the wall, but great food.
By far the bear Mexican food I have had in a while. The guacamole Mexicano is awesome.had the west coast burrito with steak was amazing.
My wife and I visited the restaurant several weeks ago. Food and service was excellent! The only problem was there were flies that kept interrupting the enjoyment of our meal. I have forwarded this complaint via email and their web site but no one has responded. Wud love to revisit they get their fly issues resolved!
Dinner for two for the price of subway; authentic, personal feel and warm staff. Adding to favorites
What a fun local hidden gem! Great food and service!
Man, this food is so good. Fresh. Great drinks. Real cozy atmosphere. One of the first places me and my family tried when we arrived in the area 4 years ago, and they are still my go to.
If I could give a 0 star I would. If you’re paying with card you better leave a good tip or they’ll do it for you. My girlfriend and I have been twice in the past two weeks both times not leaving a tip because service was bad. Come to find that when it processed in the bank they had charged us with the 18% tip anyways. I went to the manager to get paid back the tip and it was handled okay but the manager said this never happens. If it never happens then why is my girlfriend dealing with the exact same issue the very next day. This restaurant is a scam and needs to be shut down immediately. I recommend no one ever go here unless you want your money taken from you. Huey Luey’s and pablanos are so much better and worth the extra drive to not be scammed. These people are careless and rude.
Usually order from here with a delivery app but decided to visit in person. Our waiter was very nice and we sat outside on the patio with our dog. The southwestern spring rolls were so good. I usually get the chimichanga but decided to switch it up w a burrito. The music was a little too loud on the patio and the flying bugs were annoying but thats what happens when you sit outside.
Very small footprint with very delicious authentic food with flavor, better than any chain-mex anywhere, good drinks too, friendly quiet atmosphere. They have an outside patio seating area or AC on the inside. They maintain a very clean restaurant. There is plenty of space between the tables for those worried about being close to people, some large tables in the back of the patio, outside.
Good food but do not order Nachos to go it’s literally a soup.
Hands done some of the Best Food in Acworth! Wonderful Family owned and operated restaurant ❤️ LOVE It! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍👍
Always tasty food. Speedy Gonzalez, chile relinos, Ricky special. Wife loves the cheese dip for appetizer. We try and go every Tuesday. Yip yip yip
Food is amazing and Luis, the bartender, is awesome!!! Highly recommended this restaurant.
Wonderful hidden gem. Great classics and more traditional dishes available. Smaller so get there early.
Just walked in, they were super busy, I grabbed a menu and waited at the front near the kitchen for over 10 mins while all the staff walked past me back and forth right past me without asking if I’ve been helped. I understand restaurants can get really busy but the restaurant has to do a better job of acknowledging the customers who are waiting to be helped/served.
Great place to hangout and eat some good food!Recommended.
We have been regulars here for years. Margaritas are amazing! Food is always good. Highly recommend.
Firstly the peach margarita was so good it was gone before my burrito arrived. The steak in the burrito was flavorful and even a bit crispy which made the flavors really pop.
I have dined here for years, and the food is excellent and staff is delightful. Order from them directly for takeout because the offerings on either Doordash or Ubereats are about half the full menu. The horchata is delicious
Ask for ESTELLA !! she is always so nice very sweet lady. Really all the staff here is the best. But ask for ESTELLA!! 5stars for the restaurant and five more stars for Estella ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Been here twice, and we really like it. I like to start with judging a Mexican restaurant, on their tacos (because if they cant do the basics, then theres a problem! And, they passed with flying colors! The ground beef was flavorful & moist, plenty of cheese, and a great crispy shell. No grease or juice dripping, out of the taco. This was perfect, as I cannot stand when the hard shell gets all soggy, from grease and basically falls apart, before youve taken a second bite. The cheese enchilada was great, and my dad loves their tamales and burritos! Cheese dip is also great. Highly recommend Ricos!
Great little locals place. Awesome food and margaritas. May have to wait a bit for a table but its worth it. Yummy sauces!
HORRIBLE SERVICE! I went in to place an order and was never acknowledged. It was like I was invisible. The lady at the cash register kept scrolling through the tab book never looking up. The ppl behind me asked if they could sit on the patio and she stated they could. The door dash guy behind them was directed by her to the table to get the food while I still stand there right in front of her face. I finally spoke up and asked if she was going to take my order and she asked if I needed a menu as she proceeds to walk towards the back. A couple of people passed me up while I stood there. Finally someone asked if they could help me. I asked for a particular item in which they didnt have so I left, never to return. The last time I ate here the food wasnt that good anyway. Its just a convenient spot to eat while at work. NEVER AGAIN!!
Sat down and was given chips and salsa immediately. Then no one came back. There were two other tables so they weren’t busy. There was staff walking around but they just ignored us. So after 10 minutes of being ignored we left. Won’t try again.
Excellent service and food! Love the patio and the skinny jalapeño margarita!
We have eaten here a couple times before, and absolutely love it! The food, the service, the atmosphere...Apparently, we arent the only ones, because this time when we went, the parking lot was packed!! We couldnt find a place to park, (between 5:30-6:30pm on a Saturday eveningand the dining room AND the outside seating area were busy. So, We didnt get to eat here this time, but we are so thankful to see them thriving as this means we can all keep them in business for a long time to come!We will be back again... during a not so busy time of day! ;-)Our previous visits were more of a late lunch time of day rather than dinner time.
I came on a Saturday evening and every seat was taken - this place is very small and only has about 12 tables total. Chips were good with a nice spicy salsa. I ordered the tres amigos which was supposed to be hard tacos but came soft and the menu price was $6 but that bill reflected $6.99. They have a few draft beer selections typical of a Mexican restaurant. I just love these non-chain, hole in the wall restaurants! You should come and check this place out! Had the tacos been priced at menu price and came hard, I would have rated this place five stars. Dont expect anything fancy here as Im a fan of dive Mexican, and individual tastes will vary. Im a fan of dive Mexican and for $7 certainly this place was not fancy... Ill actually give them credit because considering inflation its tough to even get a meal for less than $10 nowadays...
A gem of a place in the middle of nowhere!!! The food is really good and has a feel of not so Americanized Mexican food; small, comfort and cozy place…
Customer service was good and the drinks were okay. The real problem occurred when my girlfriend told me she saw a tail hanging out of one of the booths. I thought she was joking until I looked back and saw a big rat crawl onto the chairs. My girlfriend and I immediately ran out of the restaurant. The waiter was kind when we offered to pay for our drinks. We didn’t have to pay anything. Definitely will not be visiting here again.
Ricos is your classic " hole in the wall". He needs more room, its an old house, but it is always clean. Great service. Great food. Honest drinks. Very reasonable prices on drinks and food. Their Shrimp de Camaroon is the best Ive ever had and Ive tried it at a lot of places.
The food is 7/10 authentic (I am Mexican, so I can judge this). The place is cute, small, and cozy and I really liked the ambiance. However, the food is a little too commercial for my taste, I would appreciate a more homemade taste rather that large scale, processed. The beans are clearly from a can, they are not good at all. The salsa and chips are great! If you are not a Mexican then youll love this place and think its authentic and the best thing ever, which theres nothing wrong with that however I would not come back as I can cook better at home the same thing.
First time eating here and it was delicious. The food was wonderful. I feel like the cheese dip could have been a little bigger for the price and they were out of several items like the watermelon flavor margarita, coca cola and mushrooms but still a very good place to eat. Price wise was normal. I will definitely go back.
My husband said his tacos were great. He got the Speedy Gonzales. We enjoyed the chips and guacamole. The Fiesta Salad was tasty, but very anemic. Just a small handful of the shredded iceberg lettuce that is used as topping for other dishes. That wouldnt be so bad, but it was over $9.00, also didnt have sweet peppers as stated on the menu.
The food was alright its like every other Mexican restaurant but it had a cute tree lol
After a long event this was the perfect place for drinks and food. It was my first time having the "special" strawberry lemonade and ended up having several glasses! Chicken Lime Fiesta was what I ordered and the flavors were awesome! Wasnt my first time here but I always find my way back for more!
Food and margaritas very yummy. You gotta try the Molcajete! Very friendly staff and cool ambience. Love the decor.
Love this little hole in the wall! Should have taken more pics! Salsa and chips were great and the shrimp salad was perfect! I WILL BE BACK!!!
Delicious Mexican food & drinks w generous portions; good service & pricing. I had a chicken burrito, enchilada & taco dinner with a large margarita for ~$16. Close to downtown Acworth.
Nice waitress. Wings were trash. The other food was decent. We ate outside and one table had a dog. Another table kept smoking cigarettes. I didnt like that at all. Will dine indoors next time.
Okay, my wife and I wanted to check this place out for a while. Unfortunately, all of my buttons were pushed nearly from the time we sat down. I asked for tomatillo salsa, they charge for it. I asked for a single corn tortilla for my 6 month old to gnaw on, they said they had to charge me for 3. My wife ordered the 3 pastor taco meal, asked to swap 1 out to chorizo (pastor and chorizo plates both cost $10.99and they said no. She asked for no beans and the plate came with beans. My wife said the only flavor in her tacos was the lime she added to it. I ordered 10 wings due to dietary restrictions, 5 bbq and 5 habanero. Im fairly certain they use sweet baby Rays and the habanero sauce Im pretty sure is the great value sauce from Walmart. I didnt expect world class wings, but making a sauce at a restaurant is not outside the realm of possibility. My server didnt have much personality to boot, which mad the experience a one-and-done for us. Plenty of great options in Cartersville, Id drive up there if you want Mexican food.
My Mom and I loved this place, our first lunch here. I loved the Rickys lunch special of 3 chicken tacos and a small chicken soup. Service was excellent and price was good. This is a small place and it was as crowded as it was good.
Updated review 8/20/2108 at 4pm:Came here today about 3:15 today (a Monday), too late for lunch specials which are from 11am-3pm, but thats ok regular prices are low and very fair.We wanted to order something different from last time just for a change, though it was hard because last meal here last year was excellent.Today was no different as far as food.I was craving a carne asada torta which they didnt quite have on their menu, but they had something very similar and amazingly better, its called a "torta chilanga" and its almost the exact same thing: steak, peppers, pico de gallo, avocado, jalapenos, creme cheese on a Mexican loaf bread. At the risk of sounding cliche OMG it was good. I asked for a little more sour cream cuz I loves me some CREMA! It also came with a huge side of fries, which was kind of surprising, and though I am not a french fry guy, they were pretty damn good, better than most American restaurant fries (¡viva Mexico!).My wife had the chimichanga plate rice and a taco bowl salad. She really enjoyed that and I enjoyed stealing $#!÷ off her plate! The chimichanga is made here the way its supposed to be made. Most Mexican joints slap a buttload of salsa on top and call it a day. This had a creamy (creamy like Baileys, mmm creamycheese sauce slathered all over it, the meat was real chunks and not pasty, and the flavor made my wife reach over and smack me.We started the meal with waters and jumbo margaritas, add salt, on ice. Uber or Lyft is your buddy after a couple of these. Dang good flavor, right amount of alcohol, not too much sour, not too sweet, almost as good as creamy Baileys (Google Old Gregg if you dont get the reference - and youre welcome)!Service a bit slow for a slow part of the day but staff was pleasant and they blended their Spanish and english enough to make me feel like I was AWOL from the Marines in Tijuana again.Again, its a small place and at dinner they get crowded and busy and parking is slim, but well worth it.Gonna bump them up to 5 stars, 2 times the charm.Highly recommend.Review from same month last year: Excellent food, fast service, good prices. My wife and I were staying up at Lake Altoona for a couple weeks and we decided to go into downtown Acworth to get something spicy to eat, we found the right place.Very cozy small building with lots of seating. Seating is rather crowded but in a good way. Apparently this spot is a local favorite. For my lunch meal I chose the loaded burrito, cant remember the name now but it was delicious. My wife had the chicken fajitas, which were delicious. We will definitely be back, but not during peak hours as this place gets crowded and noisy. Not much parking room.
Stopped here on the way back home and was pleasantly surprised. Really cool decor and great staff. Even better was the food. Great dishes with traditional ingredients. Probably one of the best Mexican places I’ve been to ever. Recommend the San Jose burrito with real Mexican sausage or the lobster and shrimp chimichanga. Will defiantly stop by next time around the area.
Best Mexican food around! Weve been here dozens of times and weve had amazing food every time. From their chips and salsa, to their burritos and rice, everything is excellent. I got their fish this time and it was amazing!
They have whole fried fish! Prices were reasonable for the portions. Small but nice atmosphere. Always has customers, sometimes hard to get a table
