Food was great. Service was slow and inattentive. We waited 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the door. It was apparent they were short staffed.

Forego daily room service for a free drink.. I love it! Friendly service too.

Just went for breakfast with my wife and daughter, they let us sit for 15 minutes, no coffee while we wait, not even a second look. I wouldnt mind if it were busy but it was quiet. We left.

Service was really slow. Our waitress disappeared and I was searching the restaurant to find somebody to pay we needed to go as we were in a hurry waited over 30 mins for the bill. I thought I left my sunglasses we were so late but I did not. I dont think it was the waitress fault it was just they were so understaffed. They had one person on the whole huge restaurant. Poor management. The food was terrible we like Rickys fries are great but these werent Rickys kennebeck fries just normal burger king fries. Wont be back.

I was really in the mood for an ooey gooey rich French Onion soup. The menu made it look SO good! But this is what I got. (Granted Ive eaten a bit of the soup at this pointbut it wasnt baked with cheese on top at all. It was just a bowl of onion soup with a slightly burnt crostini and as a result over heated cheese plunked on top of it. I was sad. 😕

Jamie served both of our breakfasts . Jamie has an outstanding customer service skills and great memories . The breakfasts was great. The space is clean, spacious, the atmosphere, the breakfast and more important the server make you feel great right when you start your day. Great job Rickys and Jamie.

Unexpected visit but loved it! It was busy whole time since we were there till leave. And the waiting spot is pretty weird that hosts never there so we had to wait long time until someone found us. But great quality of food and service!

We were at the Banff AB location on Sunday June 9.After arriving after 11:00AM we were told there wasn’t enough menus for everyone (we were part of a group of approximately 25). There actually wasn’t enough menus for half of us. We were not even offered a lunch menu. My husband and I had to look on line for it.About 10 minutes after finally having our orders taken a server came and informed us that they were out of beef dip so I had to order something else.The food was ok but the fries were WAY TOO SALTY. You could actually see the salt on them. It looked like rock salt was sprinkled on them then they were cooked. The children in the group couldn’t eat them and either could I. The bowl they came in was covered in it as well. Couldn’t taste anything but salt.

Food was lovely and our server was very friendly. Very slow out of the kitchen though. A table of 4 came in10 mins after us. Were seated and their order taken and they were 1/2 through their food before our salads came out. Can only assume our order was forgotten about.

Food was a disappointment. Ordered the truffle rosemary fries and was served just fries with a dusting of parmesan cheese. No rosemary or truffle or dip. Friend ordered a poutine and I dont know how they let that mess leave the kitchen. Gravy was chunky and inedible. Other friend ordered beef dip without horseradish and was served beef dip slathered with horseradish. I regret paying for this meal. Yikes. Server was great, thanks Kurt.

Stopped in at 10:00 every morning for our 4 days at Banff. Nice atmosphere & great breakfasts, even for light eaters. Very pleasant staff...

While the service was great, the mixed drinks were ok at best. If you stick to beer or a rum coke you should be fine. A sour or old fashioned.... not the place at all. The bar is actually well done in terms of looks and the service was good. Just not the drinks.

Food was good. Only complaint was that our waitress disappeared after she took our finished plates away. We had to ask another girl to bring our check because it had been about 15 mins since she took the plates and we had things to do.

Had to eat in the lounge as the restaurant closes at around 230pm. Food was average at best. Service was good though.

Our visit to Rickys in Banff for breakfast on Feb 3 will be our last. Going to any Rickys is consistently average, which is not a hard expectation to meet, or exceed. Pancakes, hashbrowns, toast, eggs, none of these are difficult to make. We had incredibly slow service, over 25mins, in a half full restaurant for breakfast is unacceptable. The pancakes were hard and similar to the consistancy of a bagel, which is ridiculous. Eggs were powdered / packaged and no taste. This breakfast was a waste of time and money.On the plus side, the server was friendly.Proceed with caution.

Always good food, and friendly fast service. A favorite place to go for great food at a good price. As an added bonus its located inside the beautiful Elk + Avenue hotel.

The server was very pleasant, but thats all that was acceptable. It took over half an hour to get our food. My eggs were overcooked and my hasbrowns were almost raw (they werent even warm). The in house made hollandaise sauce resulted in an immediate spit into my napkin. Disgusting.

Good service and good food. Nothing off the charts but my family agreed overall good food. Service was friendly and fairly quick.

The food was good but the service was terrible. After waiting 10 minutes for a host to acknowledge us we were seated. We then had to ask to place our order after the waitress walked by us without stopping 3 times. As our food was cooking no one came by to refresh our coffee or water once.The food was good when it finally showed up but not worth the hassle. Once again, we had to request our bill and wait 15 minutes to have someone bring it. When it finally came there were no apologies for the slow service. Will not be back - Banff has far better places to spend your money!

Mediocre service, mediocre food even though it was fairly quiet at the time. Had the chorizo brekkie bowl and it was ruined by the massive glob of ranchero hollandaise which really wasnt appetizing.

Their eggs Benedict are so delicious! The staff are very friendly. Make sure you stop in here while youre in Banff. You will not regret it.

Good ole franchise...you know what to except : alright food, nothing exceptional there but massive plates and decent prices. The breakfasts though, are worth it. Plenty of choice, huge portions and most especially house bloody ceasars! Family friendly dinning room can get annoying for some : there is a lounge section in case youre looking to grab a beer and some wings while watching a match.

Went in for pancakes at 1.20PM (website says breakfast is served till 4pmand was advised that they dont serve breakfast menu after 1pm. update your website so you dont list misleading times.

Got some takeout from Rickys. Absolutely delicious gourmet sandwiches and sweet potato fries. All of the food was very reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly nice and I am looking forward to coming back and trying their breakfast food

We love the food here, pretty consistent most of the time. My big complaint is being seated in the lounge during the day when the million dollar views are in the restaurant side. We have brought it to their attention several times but this establishment doesnt seem to really care about what their customers say. This restaurant rotates through a lot of staff. Sometimes you get excellent service other times wait staff can be indifferent and not seem to really care much.

Banff is very crowed and busy town. That means you should stand in line and wait a long time to eat a food at the famous and popular restaurants, especially supper time. In my case, I traveled in Banff with 9 families at this time. I went to here as an alternative of the famous restaurant where I originally wanted to go. But the food was delicious, and there were not many people, so our family was able to eat supper with enough time joyfully. I am sure that this place is well worth a good restaurant.

Terrible service, there was only two tables in the whole restaurant. We waited an hour for food, when we got it it was cold and dry. Not to mention they messed up the orders twice then said they were too confused to figure it out ( we only ordered breakfast). They did in the end after all compensate our bill. But will not be returning.

Great place, nestled in beautiful Banff with a mountain view, to enjoy a delicious lunch with plenty of food options.

We ordered buffalp wings as a starter and got plaintiff wings, then when our main meals came out they were undercooked and no good. However the manager was very good about the situation and didnt charge us for any of our food, just our drinks. We ended up leaving and eating elsewhere.

Food is great but Ive gone there for dinner at 6pm on several occasions and it was closed for some reason. When we do get in, we love it. Great value.

Went for breakfast, staff were not helpful even tho the place was empty.Food is what you pay for an coffee isnt great either, we went to Goodearth coffee shop in the hotel and bought our coffee to the restaurant. Made the experience much better

A great place for a great breakfast. Service was excellent and portions were huge.

Do not show before 8am. Had to 15 minutes to get in even though restaurant was only one third occupied. Understaffed in the moring obviously. Tables not set the night before. Had to retrieve my own cutlery and creamer. Its unfortunate as I have eaten here in the past with better service.

Astounded how rude the manager is here. Thomas I believe his name is, was very rude and unprofessional. Whoever owns this place should take a look at what kind of manager is running the place, no common sense. Thomas lacks in communication skills and doesn’t know how to solve problems. Sent his waitress with a red face to tell us she made a mistake and we still had to pay for it. Even the waitress was very embarrassed by her managers behaviour over a very small deal. Won’t be coming back here.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Told them I am.celiac and they advised what could be done for me safely. Good filling breakfast. Kids really enjoyed their pancakes.

Most tasteless eggs benedict ever. Bland. Luke warm, eggs not done properly. Ice tea watered down to tasteless. Bland. We ate because we were hungry.Service so so.

this is the worst place/foods we have been to, DISSAPOINTED so we had our dinner at this place on october 17 2017, it was 4 of us and my son at age of 3, we ordered 2 of 80z of striploin, beef short ribs, teriyaki stirfry and 2 orderS of sweet potatoes.striploin kinda ok, but ribs, teriyaki and sweet potatoes were burn all you can taste just burn foods, talked to our server name katie if im not mistaken she served us great but no action was taken when we inform her about our foods, THE WORST 130 DOLLAR WE EVER SPENT, WILL NEVER EVER COMING BACK TO RICKYS RESTAURANT IN THIS PARTICULAR RESTAURANT OR ANY OTHER RICKYS. GOOD JOB RICKYS YOU JUST LOST CUSTOMERS

Great place to eat. Food was served promptly and was tasty. Service was excellent, Cassidy, who had only recently started, was very attentive to all patrons during our visit, she could not do enough. Thanks for making a great break even greater.

Very slow to be seated (10 mins and we were the only ones waiting). Server forgot to bring our lunch menu as it was past 11am. Server did not check our table within a reasonable amount of time. No team work spirit, made eye contact with 3 employees who did nothing.

Waitress was snarky, didnt write down our order therefore it was not accurate.. We had to ask for cream and spoons for the coffee. Which was only topped up once and no offer for more water. Avoided our table most of the time.

We were seating after 5 mins of waiting. We waited 10mins after being seated before LEAVING as we did not even get a glass of water or get greeted by a server. Absolutely disgraceful service and what food we did see come out to others looking very average. Definately DO NOT RECOMMEND. We are staying at the adjoining hotel Elk + Avenue and can barely fault themy.

My wifes meal was good, simple sandwitch. However, my stake sandwitch was awful, meat was tough, bun was burned and sweet potato frys were leftovers and cooked in old oil. And, for all this, we had to wait half hour at least. Server was very attentive.

Terrible service. After waiting 20 mins to get in we were finally seated. I expected the wait so that was fine. My issue is then waiting another 10 minuted before the waitress came to take our drink orders. She then proceeded to take a water from another table and give it to us. Why would we want a water someone else has potentially drank from?Then we wait roughly another 10 mins before we get our drinks. Then only 3 out of 4 cups arrive and no teaspoons. When we called the waitress over to ask for another cup she rolled her eyes as if it was a hassle to be asked to walk another 10 steps over to us.The only upside is the meals didnt take too long once ordered. However, the meals were terrible compared to all other Rickys weve visited. Even this location used to serve good meals before the the was bought over. Unsure if maybe they changed their staff/ingredients?The Avacado on two meals was frozen. One omelette meal was missing an ingredient. The hash browns were barely cooked. The sausages were not their usual breakfast sausage.A smile and apology can go a long way.

Very poor experience here. We came in around 11:30 and we waited for about 15 minutes before being seated. Upon walking to the back of the restaurant there were many empty and set tables there were at least 4 couples still waiting outside for a seat. Service was very slow and the waitress Kelsey wasnt exactly kind. I asked for a side of hashbrowns with my meal and was cut off abruptly by the waitress who said the dish I chose came with hashbrowns. It didnt. And the eggs that I asked for sunny side up came scrambled. My boyfriends hashbrowns, which were not stuffed as requested, were barely cooked. We asked for this to be fixed and another woman brought out new eggs, which were still not sunny side up and stuffed hashbrowns for my boyfriend, but none for me. Then a plate with hashbrowns and STILL not sunny side up eggs. When I finally got my eggs they were not even fully cooked and neither were the hashbrowns. We also witnessed a couple next to us complaining about their meal to their server and were only offered a "we dont do it that way at this location" as an explanation. In the end our server only charged us for my boyfriends meal, which was mostly correct. It was appreciated but we were still extremely unimpressed with this location. We have never had a problem anywhere else.

Piss poor! Went their to eat their were multiple booths for us to sit and it was a 10-15 minute wait. We sat for 20 minutes and waites for no call so we left and went to Chilis no wait. Piss poor!

Horrible! Service was terrible. When asked a waitress to grab more coffee after waiting 20 min she held up her hand and dismissed a very polite request. Will never go here again.

Great wings and tenders ample sauce. I enjoyed it very much. They made a special order for my wife of wings that werent on the menu. We shared our meal because it is a bit pricy.

My husband and I were looking for a simple breakfast and found Rickys. I would say the service was terrible but in reality it was non existant because we were there for 10 min. without even being served coffee. Finally our order was placed. Still no coffee. We got up and left. Dont go here.

My family and I met there for lunch. There was only one other couple in the place. We waited an hour and a half for our food, had to flag down a waitress for coffee, and the prime rib was too tough to cut with a knife let alone eat. No one came to check on us or let us know how long it would be. Waiters would walk by and purposely avoid eye contact. They then told us theyd discount our meal, but first they added that same amount as tip to the bill without our consent or letting us know anywhere previous to the meal that they put a tip on the bill at their discretion. Terrible service. Crappy food.
