Richard-Wagner-Weg 27, 6005 Luzern, Switzerland, Luzern
This 15th-century country home where Richard Wagner once lived now houses exhibits on the composer.
Interesting museum focused on Richard Wagners life.
Really cool museum. The underground section is gorgeous and the coffee in the attached house is really good. The view from the observation tower at the top was truly breathtaking.
super interesting exhibition in 1st floor 👍👍 and lovely surrounding of the museum with little bar resto 😊👍😊
Very pleasant Service and area.
A relatively small museum set in parkland, it is easy to see why Wagner chose to live here for several years.Full of information without being overbearing, it is a worthwhile detour from the centre of Luzern.
It’s cute close to the lake it’s nice
Very cool piece of history!
Didnt visit - just cycled past
A must see place for Wagner fans.
Great experience!
Excellent museum with a little coffee and garden place surrounded by beautiful scenery
I couldnt enter the museum cuz they close it at 5PM! But the outside was delightful.there is a cafe there
Set on top of an idyllic hill on the shores of the Luzern Lake. Wagner lived a fascinating life, read up about him before you go. Take a short walk through/near the school campus, visit the museum, go over to the back side- sit in field and enjoy the view.
Nice!!
Good visit for those interested in classical music and life stories. Great views over the lake of Lucerne and nice coffeteria outside.
Very peaceful and intimate place
Took a ferry tour to view nice open scenery
Very atmospheric... and a beautiful location.
A short walk from the center of town. A small and specialized museum. Contains original scores, personal stories of the family and even critical material. A peek into both their musical and personal lives.
C5O A
Bellissima posizione, giardino pubblico molto curato.
The staff was helpful and friendly. It was interesting to learn more about one of my favorite composers.
You can smell Wagners life....Ideal if you love this great composer.
The Museum has very less to offer, actually there are no interesting artifacts, just a few paintings and hand written scrolls. My advice is that skip the museum itself, its just a waste of money. Instead just walk down towards the lake, it has some amazing views!!
Great opportunity to learn more about one of the best composers and see some history.
Walking from the train station the view of the lake and the surrounding nature continually got more spectacular. Arriving at the museum I saw the mountains, swans in the lake and a beautiful manor house. The environment seemed to scream inspiration. The museum is small but well kept and not too crowded. Seeing letters and scores in the composers hand was fascinating. Some of the paintings and the death mask added a little camp to the day. Worth a visit and a lovely place to picnic or grab a coffee.
Very interesting expo in a beautiful lakeside setting.
Nice café outside
The coolest burgers never even checked Wagner...
Small, but worthwhile if you have a Swiss Pass or are a serious fan. Beautiful views.
Solid museum for lovers of Wagner. Quaint house, with some of his personal items, that overlooks a peaceful view of the lake. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the train station, through some quiet areas and parks. Good way to get away from the crowds and see someOf the beautiful vistas that Luzern has to offer.
Must be visiting place
It is peaceful!
For Wagner lovers a great place to see original manuscripts and some items used by him including his piano
Nice
My best amazing unforgetbles memorys are near to this peaceful place ...i understand now why richard choosed this place the view the atmosphere ... the calm and the beautiful mountains and lake made this point something than no one must miss...
Wonderful architecture and a great exhibition of musical instruments. Very atmospheric. ( Went in 1986!)
Didnt go in but what a beautiful house and amazing views from it....worth the stroll
