Student hangout for BBQ ribs, brisket & chicken-fried steak in a bustling, nothing-fancy space.
The brisket was so, so, so dry! It was drier than a 110 degree el paso June day. It was drier than a haystack. Drier than my exs heart. It was so dry Im taking it to my next camping trip as a fire starter
Yes they are always very busy, and maybe the online order wait times are not reality…. But the holy trinity of Texas bbq: ribs, sausage and brisket is spot on and makes you come back over and over again.
Good BBQ, beef ribs were great, best Macn Cheese Ive ever had...
Service was amazing and recommendations were spot on. Potato salad, and ranch style baked beans were great.Ribs and brisket were cooked to perfection.Atmosphere was authentic for a BBQ place.
First time attending restaurant, it went awesome.Server Angel, gave us a wonderful service.Food was great, the taste was Unique. Very well portioned servings. Would definitely recommend to stop by and try their specials.Awesome place very clean and friendly. Will definitely bring my family to eat out.Pictures belowRib hut sampler: 1 beef rib, 2 baby back ribs and 2 spare ribs. Accompanied by 2 sides. In picture sides are curly fries and Ranch style beans.
My group of 5 went to the east side location. Service was horrendous. No drinks for 20 min. No cutlery and not a single visit by the waitress to check up on us. We had to get up and call some one very time. Bread was gross and one of my ribs was burned. I didnt sent it back because it had already taken an hour for our food to come and i had no desire to stay a second longer. 5 people cost 150$ I would have had better food and service at State Line or Famous Daves.
Good olfashioned ribs! A must to go try at least once!! The ribs are a necessary and made with or without the sauce. The ribs are huge, about the 10inches long and you can get full on 3 of them! Its a small place so dont expect to have room for large parties, maybe 8 people to one table max.
Rib Hut is awesome! I ordered beef ribs and oh my they were great. I got 3 big beefy ribs, Mac and cheese and okra all for only 26.00 me and my husband shared because it was so much food. Thanks Rib Hut.
We stopped in here for lunch today and it was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and we were warmly greeted when we walked in and promptly given a table. The decor is eclectic, funky, and fun. It’s one of those fun “local” places. My friend and I both had the Rib Hut Sampler Platter. The ribs were meaty, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Their BBQ sauce is some of the best I’ve ever had. I had the fried okra as a side, and everyone MUST try the “Green Chili Mac and Cheese” …. Oh my GOD that was amazing. Check this place out for great food in a cozy, friendly atmosphere
Really good food. I think fairly priced. It can get a little warm in the building, but thats about the only downside I guess. There is only one toilet but Ive never had to wait.
ENRIQUE WAS AMAZING!This waiter was the most amazing person ever. Very tentative brought me tea to go and all!The food is amazing!
Amazing service, food was outstanding. Had a great mom and pop feel to the place.
The ribs are spectacular. I also really liked the sausage. The brisket was a bit dry and lacked salt, but the delicious barbecue sauce fixed that. Sides are okay, nothing special. The combo platter with three types of meat and two sides is perfect for sharing. If I were to order a main dish for myself, it would be the rip platter. The cobbler for dessert is unremarkable. Pretty good value for money.
Every time I come here I dont know why I always think that its better than it actually is. Ordered the 2 beef rib plate with the potato salad and the dinner salad. Dinner salad was just arugula, 1 small piece of tomato and I slice of onion. I really felt like a rabbit eating this, not good. The potato salad taste flavorless and unexciting, nothing special. The beef ribs looked delicious, they were a good size and visually delicious. Started eating them and they were okay. They werent tender and flavor wise they had a weird taste. Overall, they were just ok, nothing special nor something I have to have again. Would I return? Maybe, if I forget again these ribs are not amazing and I can get better ribs somewhere else.
Got the catfish. Nothing special overpriced under portioned. Must be the the rent going up on mesa again. Food is edible but ofcourse if you want better go elsewhere.
I had the small combo. Believe me, there is nothing small about it! I chose the beef rib and brisket. My sides were green chili mac n cheese, and a loaded baked potato. My rib was just a touch dry. However, I used the sauce provided and it was excellent. My brisket was moist and very tasty. My sides were both excellent. I recommend you visit soon. Oh by the way, the staff and Manager were very nice and kept checking on us.
Best ribs I have had in El Paso! The staff is super friendly and food is delicious!
Food looked amazing. Buuuutttt the appetizers were frozen not homemade. Not worth it. The brisket was so tender it was amazing buuutt had no seasoning. You had to dip into bbq sauce to get flavor but it was too salty. The potato salad was bland. The coleslaw was bland. We wanted to try peach cobbler but they were sold out. They were sold out on the #1 dessert. How??? Anyways. Staff was great. Decor was cool. Food served fast. Good luck.
We had a wonderful meal with wonderful service from Adriana! Delicious food with huge portions and great prices. We had the combo platter and everything we tried was amazing! We stopped here right after a wedding on our way out of town and it really hit the spot.
First time experience at Rib hut… The food was delicious and Adriana gave us excellent service!Would definitely go back.
I love this place. One of the best IMO..... well served and amazing flavor!! I dont consider it pricey but I also dont really pay much attending to prices when it comes to food, specially delicious food!!!
If you’re in the mood for some good ribs and an ice cold beer, this is a good option. The service was very fast and our waiter was very friendly. The food: We got their family package which was around $35, and it came with ribs (we upgraded the selection), Mac and cheese (exchanged for Cole Slaw), rolls, beans, potato salad, bbq sauce and onions and jalapeños. It was more than enough food for our family of 4. The ribs were meaty and tender, and the bbq sauce was nice and tangy. The rolls were fresh, the Mac and Cheese was creamy and delicious, the beans and potato salad were also a hit with my family. They do offer sandwiches, chicken, and healthier options. They also offer some wines, about 5 beers on draft and a larger selection in bottles or cans. The atmosphere is relaxed, kinda dim inside but the decor is rustic, what you would expect at a bbq joint. As I stated before, the service was fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable.Give it a try!
We just had the best experience here. We came from Las Cruces for some great ribs and they delivered. The cooks are amazing, and what made this experience stand out even more, was the amazing waitresses- Monica and Adriana. They were the only two waitresses in the restaurant and they had a full house, yet they were very attentive to all tables and very, very nice and professional. We will be asking for them next time we come in.Thank you, Monica for everything and I hope you guys get recognized for all you do.
Huge servings! I had the sausage platter and it was delicious! I hadnt been there in years, but I will be back very soon!
Excellent choice for brisket BBQ and the best place for sweet potatoe fries. Service is always great too!
Amazing. Brisket and ribs. The Ester spud was delicious too. They also gave us a free dessert- apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Will definitely come back!
Rib Hut, what I can say, DELICIOUS FOOD, GREAT SERVICE. I went in to celebrate a family birthday, and left so happy. For starters I got jalapeño poppers and a lil salad!Jalapeño Poppers were bursting with flavor! The cheese and the jalapeño tasted bussing, great tang and heat from the jalapeño with creamy cheese and light fried coating, highly recommend!! Side salad was fresh, plain and simpleFor my entree I choose their veggie pita, and was met with fresh veggies, lettuce, avocado, tomato, cheese, and a beautiful pita bread to compliment. Each item made a lil food heaven on their own!!Couldn’t have left happier, server was great and on point. I don’t remember their name, but they took care of 10+ top amazingly well. Shoutout to ribhut, hit them up y’all 🥰🥰
Went today for the first time with my wife and mom. The food was delicious and our waiter Ruben was the best. Really helpful and generous. The ribs are the best Ive ever tasted. I highly recommend Rib Hut. Thanks Ruben...
Great place, friendly staff, very generous portions.
We ordered the ribs thinking thats what they would specialize in since its named the Rib Hut. We were severely disappointed. We got the rib sampler and they were all extremely tough. Not worth the money at all. If you have to eat there, stick to something else. The mac and cheese and fried okra were good though.
Got the sampler platter with sidewinder & curly fries. Massive ribs great, I couldnt quite finish it. The beef ribs were especially good. Shout out to my server Angel, cool dude, excellent service.
The food is excellent and servings are enormous! This is the first place my out of town family wants to go when they visit us in Texas. Definitely a must-try if you are a fan of BBQ and ribs. They have specials on Wednesday nights still, but youll want to go every time the craving hits.
The food may not be THE BEST but its pretty good. The prices are ok. The best thing about this place is the EXCELLENT service! Ive been twice and Ive liked it very much. The ribs are DELICIOUS! Will definitely keep going.
It was ok at best. I ordered the Brisket Sandwhich a la Gringa and instead got a platter of brisket. The brisket was mostly fat and not very tasty. The person with me ordered ribs, they were tough and stuck to the bone. No real flavor unless you drown the meat in the BBQ sauce.Salad only had a slice of tomato and cucumber, I wasnt impressed.Overall not a bad experience, but could have been a lot better.
Visited on New Years Day. Great old school BBQ. Huge portions and value. Dont miss this gem of a soon to be institution.
I thought I would try a new place for bbq. Went and got the sidewinders and the appetizer bbq mixer half order, I also got a side of mac and cheese. The meat taste old and like dirty water... the mac and cheese is very bland. The sidewinder would be good if they didnt taste like old grease. The sausage is the only thing g thats really good.Im quite shocked that the ratings on this place were so high. I would not recommend trying this place. They do give you alot of food but honestly quantity over quality.I sat at the bar and had gotten my order to go. The whole time I listened to the guy behind the bar asking to leave to go to the gym as there were no customers. He kept begging to, I should have taken this as a red flag. Definitely not worth the $37 i spent.
I was craving my beef ribs so bad, but they are burned out and meatless. Baby back ribs were also dry over cooked.Thank you so much Billy Hayes to take care of this issue that happened on 11/23, I really appreciate your promptly response and quality of customer service. I am adding a second picture of the great beef ribs that I got today 11/28. You can tell the difference!!! Thank you again.
The best BBQ weve had in a long time. The staff was so friendly. Ruben was the best, he had recommendations for us that proved to be excellent. The new host (I forgot her name, I believe Madisonwas also very kind and attentive. Definitely recommend this place. Though they were absolutely slammed post UTEP WIN!!! they were still prompt and gave us outstanding service. We will be back.
I had the chicken fried steak and it was do delicious and a good hardy portion. My husband & daughter had the ribs. As always BIG yummy ribs. The mac and cheese, amazing.
We were passing on I 10 on our way home to Florida. I remembered the Rib Hut’s gigantic beef ribs from another trip about ten years ago. We checked, and it was still there! I had the two beef rib platter, my wife had the half chicken. A great lunch, just as I remembered. No beef rib restaurants in Florida! A treat.
Words can not express the amazing experience we had here, we visited for my birthday. They blessed me with a decadent birthday cake that I had the pleasure to taste. The staff is above and beyond attentive, kind and gracious. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese, Ribs, sausage, brisket, cake, be etc. You will not be disappointed and if you are. Its probably your fault. Lol!! Love, love, love this place and I will travel to Texas just to eat here again.
While I’ve only been here once the “BBQ” as they called it was average at best. The staff was great along with the potato salad and okra. The brisket and sausage on the other hand was horrible. I wish I had a before pic and better pics of the food I didn’t eat. I can’t remember the last time I returned the food or didn’t get it to-go (and at least give it to our dogs)or eat it all, I couldn’t stomach this! Here’s the descriptions: brisket resembled 1/3 smoked brisket, 1/3 broiled in the oven or crock pot, the final 1/3 grilled and burnt over an open flame, I guess to warm it up. And to make matters worse, they sliced it with the grain which made it even tougher to eat, most of all no smoke flavor and no smoke ring. The sausage: I haven’t eaten ekrich kielbasa in a long while but this would be a close comparison. No smoke flavor, very greasy and “hot dog” like in texture and flavor. Again, this too seemed to be tossed on an open flame to heat up and like the brisket probably burnt on the grill. Well, I can’t figure out how to add the pic
You get the first scents of amazing ness as you are parking. As you walk in it only gets better and better. Then when your server brings you that rack of ribs... oh my god. Simply amazing!Note that the place and parking lot is tiny and usually pretty packed, but that only adds to its cozy, home feeling.
Fantastic ribs with very affordable pricing. For $16, I received a half rack of juicy, delicious baby back ribs, and two sides (chose potato salad and mac and cheese). Throw in a Dogfish Head 90 Minutes for six bucks and change, along with excellent service by the staff, and I left as a very satisfied customer. Whenever I return to El Paso, Rib Hut will definitely be a stop to revisit. Highly recommend.
Second time visiting this place. Good Texas BBQ. Excellent flavor and delicious ribs! A little pricey but would recomend each person that comes ordering their own plate, wouldnt recommend the family orders not enough food. Also burgers are super juicy and cooked perfectly! Will come back
Rib Hut is a good BBQ place that provides good service, tasty food, and a cool atmosphere.I had the chance to taste the sausage, brisket, baby back ribs, sweet potato fries, potato salad, okra, and the beans. The sausage was over cooked on my plate and overall it wasn’t that tasty. I believe that the sausage was the worst meet I tried. This is the reason I won’t give it a 5 star rating. The brisket was cooked well and wasn’t dry. It was great and I highly recommend it.The baby back ribs were great and the best plate here. They are a must have. Very tasty, very meaty, and it is a must have. Rib hut has great ribs.Lastly the sides were good! I recommend the sweet potato fries or the fried okra! The service was very attentive and friendly. No complaints. Happy to go back for just the ribs any day!
The meat is great and the mac n cheese and curly fries are awesome! We noticed the nacho chips were a bit hard and stale and the apple cobbler was tough and chewy. But there are definitely some great food choices though!
Saloon bar vibe with delicious ribs/steak/brisket focussed menu. Been here several times, and always had a delicious experience with friendly service and a fun atmosphere.Ive had all the meat options and enjoyed every single one. But if pushed for a favourite... Id choose the baby back ribs (full rack shown in photo)... Their Macncheese is likely my favourite side. Wouldnt expect anything low calorie here, but would expect an epic meal.
Big disappointment. Ribs were pink and dry. Had to take them home so I could finish cooking them and add juice to try to save them. Way overpriced! What a waste of $28!!!If you get waiter John, the older gentleman with gray hair, RUN AWAY! He is arrogant, no matter how friendly I was. When he brought my ribs and asked if I needed anything, I asked for a wet nap. He pointed to the roll of PAPER TOWELS on the table and condescendingly told me theres a whole roll for me and walked away. What an a$$. The icing on the cake was when he brought me the check WITH A WET NAP underneath it! AND he charged me extra for sweet potato fries without telling me.Small parking lot too. Just all around waste of time and irritating lunch. :(Part 2: Owner called and was very apologetic and surprised by my experience. Very responsive. Props.
Food was well worth the wait, and the service was exceptional! You can tell the employees really work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction! We did have to wait a bit to get seated but we were expecting that since we went on $2.29 rib night. Those ribs are huge (see pic)! Dont make the mistake of ordering too many.I had a Santa fe chicken spud and it was delish. My only complaint is that I couldnt see or taste the cheese until i got to the bottom of the spud. I would much rather see gooey cheese on top, especially since i ordered the spud because i was craving the gooey cheese. On the other hand, the house made green salsa is to die for...I wonder if they use a molcajete to make it?We cant wait to go again!
