Yolandi was excellent entertaining us at the wine tasting!
We had the most amazing experience at the restaurant! It was my bfs birthday and we went on a cold and quiet Monday afternoon. We had the charcuterie platter and it was amazing! Our waiter was also awesome and attentive, and even brought my bf a beautiful dessert for his birthday!! Thank you Unathi for your excellent service. We will definitely be back! :)
Great garden with exceptional scenery views.....👌👌
Wine tasting with Yolanda was an amazing experience and thank you Yolanda for taking such good care of us. The pizza was and dessert was fantastic. Most definitely returning.
The wine tasting was a let down. Was a cold, wet day and we werent helped to seat and werent given guidance. No water or crackers between tastings and no spittoon.Lunch same lack of service. Table not wiped, and long wait for service. Food good although knives not changed after bread and butter, no steak knife for steak and no sharp knife for pizza.
A beautiful estate in a beautiful setting. My group LOVED the wine and chocolate pairing!!! Many bottles and boxes of chocolate bought!!!
Delicious meal, very friendly efficient staff and what a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended
The food was absolutely great. The beef burger was devine and you can really taste that its a home made patty and the chips were so delicious. The pizza was also great, the perfect crispy woodfired crust and tasty flavours. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and there was a good atmosphere all around. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back.
Absolutely recommended! Professional, knowledgeable staff help to make this wine tasting experience a must!
One of our favorite wine farms, great food and amazing wine! The place is just absolutely beautiful
Just had a coffee and bought wine. Next time we will lunch. Took some pictures and a video. Pictures will go up on Instagram (françois_bosmanand video on youtube channel (Stoom met OomMonday afternoon.
What a perfect mothers day we had at Rhebokskloof. The live music & food was incredible. My mom is still on cloud 9
great venue and good service. menu caters to most, no vegans
Beautiful gardens. Did cellar tour and chocolate and wine pairing. Didnt like the red wines but the chocolates were very interesting and different. Worth a visit
Great food, excellent wine tasting, nice location
Such an amazing place and the most beautiful views, good food and amazing service. Will def visit again!
Absolutely stunning...Kurt and his team....You guys rock..
Fantastic venue and the service was phenomenal! The pinotage is of the best in the CapeVery impressed
Had a lovely lunch. Staff very friendly.Beautiful views.
A lovely setting, the food was nice. The service was not great as our waiter was preoccupied. We asked for a table near the lawns but was told none available. We sat on the hot veranda while no one sat at any of the tables. They sat empty the whole time we were there. It took 25min to pay the Bill once we asked for it. The excuse was she got busy. Please please retrain your staff. Why where most of the chair just lying folded on the ground near the waters edge. It would have been nice to sit there. They were to heavy to try and adjust. Will be back, lets hope things improve.
Work function - was great. Staff friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Food was good.
Really nice winetasting with wonderful pralines, stonelook, white, black or brown chocolate with a filling of fruitpaste.Good wineguide with a visit in the cellar and an overview about wineproduktion here. My favorite was the Pinotage, sparkling white wine, 2nd one in tasting.
Great wine tasting experience, great atmosphere and fabulous wine!
Spent the Afternoon at Rhebokskloof Wine estate. Lunch at the restaurant, followed by a wine and chocolate pairing at their cellar. While the scenery is beautiful the experience in both the restaurant and cellar did not impress. The restaurant : The menu is limiting, and in my opinion over priced. We ordered the zucchini fritters, and a pizza. The zucchini fritters are a total waste of money. The measly potion of Zucchini, was disproportionate to the amount of tomato sauce sauce on the plate. By far the worse part of the restaurant experience was the apathetic nature of the staff.Wine tasting experience : Overall an above average experience, with a very knowledgeable sommelier. However the red wine was so warm one could only smell the evaporating alcohol. I asked the sommelier about this, who’s response was that it was hot outside and when they are busy the wine cooler can’t be used effectively. This should not be an excuse for a wine farm.Overall, I was disappointed by my experience at Rhebokskloof.
We did a picnic for my hubbys birthday last Sunday. What a treat 😁 Thank you for the great food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back!
A beautiful venue with delicious food, wine and great service.
Absolutely stunning venu, ordering a picnic by the dam is definitely something to add to your to do list! They set up a stunning picnic spot for your arrival with a blanket, glasses, cutlery, a pallet table and a deck chair. They do also have vegaterian and vegan picnic baskets, we were quite disappointed with the vegaterian basket so Id recommend going with the vegan one if you are a vegaterian.I would imagine a "park accoustics" vibe here on a Sunday would be MAGICAL
The absolute destination! The kindest staff and most delicious food. Pizza to die for and wine to live for!😁 Bring your friends and family, not a single moment wasted here! The biltong pizza should definitely be your first choice! A special THANK YOU to the absolutely lovely receptionists!
We went on part of the Cape explorer wine tour. The wine tasting with the chocolate was exceptional with detail on what botanicals were in each specific wine. Jerimiah the sommelier was brilliant and fun. Couldve, however, had a bit more insight as to the growing process of the different grapes... how long vine is in the ground for etc.
Wow. What a beautiful setting for a lovely day outside, under the acorn trees. They have the most gorgeous, well kept gardens and lawns. You look out onto a dam, with the vineyard in the background. There is a great play area for those bringing the kis along. The service was brilliant, friendly manager and staff. The food and wine was delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant (especially on a hot summer day).
I visited this Restaurant/Wine Farm on March 7, for a friend’s family farewell and son’s Christening brunch. Needless to say, after I’ve lodged a complaint and copied all managers etc. I’ve never received any responses. This is my proof of my e-mail.I hope no one ever receives this type of service, especially my brothers and sisters of color.
Had my wedding here and it was amazing. They made my day so special with everything running smoothly, amazing food and excellent service at a reasonable price. Would recommend it to any future bride as they have a beautiful setting for photos as well.
Perfect family, couples or solo outdoor MTB or Hiking Trails with Fantastic Winery, great food and scenery! Hike ⛰️, Wine🍷 and Eat 😋 Short, peaceful Rhebokskloof Paarl Adventure Hike to Flatrock⛰️ with invigorating wine tasting 🍷 followed by exquisite lunch and dessert 🍮under the summer shade overlooking the tranquil dam 🏞️ and greenery 🌳 A total must visit and highly recommended!
Incredibly beautiful place! Quite literally breath-taking scene as you pass through the entrance. We had stopped for a quick bite somewhere en-route to Cape Town and ended up doing a wine tasting and staying for ages. The estate is pet-friendly! Always an issue for us as we generally take our dog everywhere. He was welcomed with open arms and loved it.There is a huge lawn to enjoy with lots of different spots to sit. Leave e there with a book and a glass of wine anytime!Jeremiah took us through a lovely wine tasting and we had the most delicious chorizo and calamari starter as well as a scrumptious pizza.I cant recommend this Wine Estate highly enough. Currently no accommodation but they are looking to construct cottages in the future. It does cater to events though.
What an amazing place for cycling in the hills. Various track options and distances. Also dont forget the restaurant. Lovely pizzas can be enjoyed along with a fabulous jungle gym for the kids as well with rolling lawns
The best burger I have ever had🍔
Wine tasting: Beautiful setting with the pond. Wine was great. We ordered a platter to share to pair with our wine tasting. Service was ... very interesting. We selected our wine options, everything went well until wine #4 when the waiter apologized to one of our female guests as she poured too much wine for one of the other guests so she would miss out this round and get a little bit more on the next round (we thought it was a joke, it wasn’t). Round #5 the waiter started pouring our last selection and apologized again as this bottle only has enough wine for about 2 of the 6 guests. She was unwilling to open a new bottle and came to pour in another half empty bottle of wine as if we wouldn’t taste or smell the difference. I mean, have you ever been for a wine tasting and not be able to taste the wine as the bottle was finished?! What sort of a wine tasting is this? Really don’t appreciate the untruthfulness. Ended up not buying any wines just as a result of the bad service.
What a great place to spend the day with friends and family! Picnics are fantastic and great value for money. EVERY wine we had was simply divine and stays true to the essence of what each wine should be. The food is indulgent yet simple and showcases the beauty of each seasonal ingredient.
We have been here for the first time Lunch after their renovation. They now have a different style.People are all very friendly as always and food and drinks are still nice. Anyhow, we missed the Burger they had in the past.
Hubby and I celebrated the start of 2020 with a breakfast at one of the neighboring estates. The new Rhebokskloof restaurant is as much a feast for the eyes and senses as the pallet. We did not do wine tasting, but will be back and will be sending guests from our guesthouse to enjoy these beautiful surroundings.Nice menu. Not too expensive. Nice ambience and good service, thank you
The restaurant was recently renovated thus I have to go back for a meal here.We miss the big stoep outside with the shade cloth.Fewer people will be accommodated here now.The opening up of the tasting room was a brilliant idea🙌🏻🙌🏻Jacques our host is lovely man with great knowledge and the wine tasting is very well priced.Come with your kids because there is lawn galore and a play area which will be a delight.
This was not our first visit but potentially our last. The menu has changed for the worst. We ordered the pork belly and steak and chips. The pork was the better option, but it was lacking the crispy crackling one would expect. The steak was a let down. We ordered ours medium and received it as basically well done. The chips were pale and almost not cooked through. There was no side salad or even a garnish. The new dessert menu is very strange and quite disappointing. Basically two different cakes, an overpriced dom pedro and ice cream and a cheese plate. No baked pudding. No creme brulee. And the worst part was that by the time we wanted to order our dessert, they were out of ice cream! If we wanted cake, we would have gone to a coffee shop...The waiter was at least very friendly and the kitchen managed to make a nesquick milkshake for our toddler.
I would NOT give this venue a 3 or 4 star. Even a 3 star is a push. The food was tasty but the service was awefull and slow. The manager did not manage. Dirty plates were not removed. Empty wine glasses stood untill asked to be removed. We had to ask × 2 for the waiter to come check on us. We were not offered coffee or desert. The tables were bare and we had to ask for salt and pepper. Serviettes blew away and we were not offered new ones. The waiter was very interested in getting paid but not serving. The decoration was....well no decoration. All in all...not worth the price they ask for the food. The only redeeming factor was that one could sit outside...without an umbrella at a wonky table.A beautiful venue not used to its full potential.
Wonderful setting .Sat outside with birds chirping and squirrels playing in the trees. They were closed but we were politely seated and accomodated for. Tasty wine had the sauvignon blanc. Wine price is the same as what it wouldve been at the shop. It is well priced and had the pulled pork for lunch. It was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly They are going to be closed for renovations in June and July. Dam and picnic area. Will be back.
We combined a wine tasting with cheese and bread platters and it all was excellent. Their 2015 Shiraz and 2018 bush vine Chenin Blanc were exceptional. Friendly hosts, beautiful grounds. Good value. Recommended.
I work at this place.Hero Adventures is wher u can get on your mountain bike and choose what trail u wana ride or hike. Winevalley Horse trails is also here wher u can do quadbike or ride horses🐎. Here is also wedding venues but u cant sleep over here. Here at the cellars u can come and enjoy wine making. Here is also conference rooms a big restaurant and wine tasting room
We spent a Sunday afternoon at Rhebokskloof for a picnic with a group of family and friends and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the setting was fantastic, the food was good and the kids loved the pony rides. Highly recommended as a family friendly venue in the winelands.
Galileo open air theatre was held at Rheboksloof wine estate on select Saturdays. The staff that was part of Galileo were friendly and organised with regards to the backrests and blankets provided. The wine estate in itself is absolutely breathtaking. The type of movie was perfect for the views and surroundings at Rhebokskloof. Due to the venue being a wine estate we were obligated to buy their wine, which was not to bad. The food choices for Galileo were very limited. The wine estate was featured in the movie Vir Altyd and could be used as a wedding venue as in the movie. I had an amazing experience at Rhebokskloof wine estate and would definitely recommend it to others.
Wonderful experience.Meals were tasty (certainly recommend the double stack children burger with guacamole, mayo, bbq sauce, rocket and peperdew). Stunning view as well of the lake, and lovely greenery. 💯
