The Cornerhouse, Nottingham NG1 4DB, City Center
Individually styled chain bar with a global menu of comfort-food classics and nightly happy hours.
We went at lunch time , the food was fine when we eventually got it after a nearly 30 minutes wait after we ordered ,there definitely was not enough staff for the amount of customers .
Brilliant night out venue. Great section of drinks and food plus the best bar staff in town. Highly recommended for party bookings
Had a lovely works night put, food and cocktails was lovely and great service
Leah was amazing! Very friendly and helpful, made me and my friends feel really welcome, will definitely come here again!
Awful customer services. I was promised a full refund over 2 weeks ago (10 full working days, including bank holidays etc, going from the date emailed by head office). I’m going to be taking this further if it isn’t resolved. Chris treated us awfully when we were there and now Jessica and the rest of the team are not treating us fairly. Can take my money for utter rubbish instantly but force customers to wait WEEKS (and still not receivedmoney back. Disgusting.
The calimari was off so I would not recommend the fish food. Other then that just a generic run of the mill pub style good.
Had an awful experience here today. Chris the “manager” was rude and extremely unhelpful. He said he had emailed me to help me on how to get a refund but has failed to do as promised. Luckily I have the evidence I need to escalate this further.
Great choice of 2 for 1 cocktails
The service was very slow to start with, table of 11 people sat down for 30 minutes before any drinks were brought to the table. However, the service after that was really good and everyone enjoyed their food. I would go again.
19 people paid for bottomless brunch. Service was so slow that we got 1.5 drinks per person. Manager Chris said that this was our quota. Compete rip off. Terrible service.
Unbelievable slow. Not busy we had to wait far too long for 2 cocktails
Great fun but get there early as busy, very, later
It was a Saturday in July, our Chlo’s hen party was poppin,The place was understaffed and stressed but we were still boppin,Then ellie came from nowhere, an Angel in the night,Sunshine in human form she was elegant and bright,Grateful for our cocktails the day was onto a winner,All because of ellie, she’s certainly no beginner
Great for later afternoon cocktails.2 for £10 with a really large selection to choose from. The app is a total pain and service was slower than we would have liked but overall a lovely afternoon
Nice atmosphere and very good value 2 for £10 cocktails
The only thing that saves this place is the food...which may I add could of been ruined too after sitting under the heat lamp for 10 minutes. The staff are slow and look like they have lost the will to live. A smile is not hard work for anyone but the looks being thrown at other customers was not appropriate. Slow service, no cutlery provided, wasnt asked if I wanted anything else and wasnt even given so much as a napkin it asked if the food was ok. I watched other food sit ready for well over 15 mins yet no member of staff seemed to want to deliver it to the tables. And to top it off no toilet paper or hand sanitizer. I am absolutely underwhelmed and compared to the Southend branch some much needed improvement is required
We only came for one drink, but got too happy with the 2-4-1 cocktails. Nelly was our main drink server. Amazing atmosphere, food and drinks. Thankyou! I’m
The staff are lovely! The 2for1 cocktail deal went down a treat!
Great drinks. Typical prices for a city bar but happy hour certainly makes things cheaper
Was asked by doorman to remove my cap when coming in which was fine by me and I run a bar in Notts and my place is the same but came in and there was around 4 others wearing caps and he said they were in b4 they started so refused to tell them to remove there’s but I still had to keep mine off 🤷♂️
Dom is amazing bartender and he is deaf aware when deaf people ordering drinks! . He makes the night awesome! Absolutely love him!
Visited on a night out, clean and tidy and nicely laid out. Drinks are on the pricy side but are worth it. Toilets are clean which is always a positive! Staff were helpful and service was relaxed but not slow. Overall a great venue. Definitely worth a visit.
Tables pilled high with dirty pots and glasses. Music so loud couldnt hear the waitress or friends not good when youre out for good and a chat. Ordered drinks and they took 30 mins whilst others went to the bar and were served straightaway. Food took ages and when it arrived was luke warm. It had been sat on the service area a while. Food was good if it had been hot.
Food was lovely and great value.abundance of veggie options :)However waited 25 mins for two glasses of coke having ordered on the app. Plates never cleared with staff just wandering idly past dirty tables. Working in the hospitality industry, this gave me enormous anxiety and left me frustrated.
Staff quite rude Tuesday evening and it seemed like we were a bother got told 4 times we need this table, I understood the first time. Considering we were on a staff night out to relax and unwind as we work in the same environment, we will avoid in future
Uncomfortable stools could feel the metal frame under La derrière. Table wobbly. Asked a manager to move and told no more tables despite numerous free tables and people randomly sitting at them and clearly not booked. Paid for bottomless brunch and got 2 cocktails in 90 minutes, waitress did give us two at end to try and make up for it. Pizza was nice. Prosecco not nice
Great brunch experience- Dionne was very attentive, never without a drink! food was fantastic too!Great selection of drinks - thanks to Dionne for looking after us tonight. Your a Star! 100% recommend bottomless brunch here!
First time visitor to Revolution for food, usually just go for drinks. Was impressed by the amount of gluten free options but less so by the fact they charge a supplement for having a GF option hence the loss of stars. Shocking in 2022 that those with dietary requirements they havent chosen are subject to surcharges for something they cant help or change. Aside from that, food was decent if a little on the small side when compared to the price (plus surcharge!). On the plus side drinks were lovely, atmosphere was good and staff were great (especially Kirsty). Will probably just stick to drinks here in future though.
I was out for a friends birthday at the weekend. We went for food and then had a few drinks in Revolution, the seating was uncomfortable and it was full of loud and disrespectful kids but we had a few drinks over a couple of hours and had a good time, we had a booking elsewhere for a couple of hours in the early evening, afterwards we decided to come back and I was told I was not allowed in, because I am a man and I had a bag to hold my personal belongings, I asked for elaboration on the reasoning, as I was with 8 other people, 5 of which were women who had bags themselves, much bigger than mine, all of whom were permitted entry without question. I was told the policy is that man-bags are not permitted in the building (despite 2 hours I had spent there only a short time before), I offered to let the bouncer search my bag as I assured him it only contained my wallet and Pokemon Cards Id picked up for my son, but I was immediately dismissed. This is just plain rude and not to mention wildy discriminatory and I will not be stepping foot in Revolution again seeing as this is how they treat their customers! Absolutely disgusting way to treat people, i was left feeling embarrassed and targeted because of my choice of fashion accessories. I suggest re-thinking your definition of "customer service" or having a stern word with you members of security who have little care for the way they speak to or treat human beings.
£8 for a meatball sub. Cheap hot dog bun with 3 Campbell meatballs in tomato sauce on it and a bit of melted cheese. Dried up side salad. Will never eat here again. Nothing like it used to be
Visiting Nottingham for the day and decided to eat and drink here. Terrible decision. They ask you to order through the app, which then requires you to register and give your personal details, suggests uploading a profile picture, then takes payment in advance. All this to order a drink and food. Our table number was written in tiny front on the back of a scrappy Fresher’s Week leaflet rather than printed onto the table or the menu holder where it’s visible.Cocktails were very average - I had two Refreshers (happy hour deal- both were watery and neither were topped with a Refresher candy as per their menu. The drinks were sent to the wrong table then were sat on the bar for five minutes until somebody decided to go around the bar asking who they belonged to.Food was very expensive for what it was. The burger was decent but the sweet potato fries contained big chunks of burnt matter (the size of marblesthat made them inedible. The chili-topped fries didn’t fare better, with the beef being congealed into a single inedible mass.Overall poor quality drinks and food, and service is lacking. Would not recommend a visit here.
Happy hour made me very happy. However I regret downing both my drinks in the space of 20 mins because it hit me after, though that is my fault. Will deffo come here again for my two for one
Been here twice in the past two weeks and twice had issues. The first time we reserved a table so we could have someone take the orders all day, but no one to be seen. After having to que for ages twice at the bar, we complained and then got someone to the table. Unfortunetly they didnt have a clue what they were doing. Her face looked like we were ordering drinks from another planet when putting the order in. After 15 minutes someone came over with the girl to check what drinks we had ordered. It then took 30 minutes to get the drinks of which two were wrong. Went to the bar as the table service disappeared again, stood towards the left side for 10 minutes to be told there not serving from that part of the bar!!!!! So your serving from the bar, just not the part we were stood at! No signs no nothing. Then lastly to top it off, they do not accept the Queens money anymore, no cash!!!!!
Went for bottomless brunch, seemingly on the same day as KG on another comment and we had very different experiences. Our waitress daisy was excellent and attentive. Kept us very well topped up with drinks bottomless drinks of all different verities. The food was excellent, the only slight down side was we didnt receive the sides we ordered, but by the time we had finished our meals we didnt need them anyway. Let me tell you that brunch pizza is a substantial meal!We did have to move from our table to make room for another party, however the staff quickly cleared a table outside for us.Great time had by all!Would recommend.
Awful experience, wouldn’t even give the one star if zero was an option. Went for bottomless brunch with a 1.5 hour time slot, our drinks and food came after around 1 hour of waiting and asked several times to see where the drinks were. Food finally arrived to the table, 2 meals out of 3 were cold and chicken was pink. After we complained they said we had to ring on Monday as there isn’t anything they can do (lies), the only thing we got was an extra 30 mins at the table.. what happened to the other 30 mins we missed?! Would not recommend going to Revolution at all and we definitely won’t be returning customers!
Went there with a group of friends, we ordered drinks and food. The drinks arrived immediately, but the food took ages. After a while someone in our group received the meal but the rest of us was still waiting, no chance to eat all together. We ordered some starters as well and the olives were all molded and definitely not eatables. The waiter promised a refund that never arrived. If you are looking for a nice place where to eat nicely, I definitely suggest something else. Really disappointed.
Love a Revs cocktail, I recommend the bubblegum daquari and mean girls drink. Helpful and friendly staff. Visited around 6:30pm on a Friday and wasnt too busy and its clear they are taking precautions to be covid safe on the premises.
Absolutely amazing service. 5 of us went to bottomless brunch and our order for drinks was taken all the time and they were really attentive with everything. Only issue was we had ordered 2 Avocado brunches weeks before and they only had enough ingredients for one meaning I had to have a grill breakfast and was left hungry because i dont enough grill breakfasts. Best bottom brunch ive been to drink wise - blank canvases and bloody Marys in particular were brilliant!
Lovely place. We did have some confusion while sitting outside, as all 3 tables were told to order to table 35. The waitress did a brilliant job making sure everyone got what they ordered though
Depends what you like. Obviously dont come here for their real ale range as there isnt much option. A little more of a range with the lager choice. Pretty pricey but these places are. Decent layout and a nice vibe.
Tried then bottomless brunch today, and our waitress Georgia was an absolute asset to the business. I really appreciated how she kept checking asking if we were OK for drinks, and she was always polite! She is a true treasure! Thank you for a wonderful experience
Staff very friendly and attentive, amazing cocktail and the afternoon tea was fab, only criticism, there was only one small pot of cream for the 2 scones.
Absolutely love it there! Helpful and friendly staff! Went with my dog for Halloween event.
Revolution is a bar with an exciting atmosphere. When I visited this venue it was around lunchtime so it was time to order some food.To start things off I ordered a classic mojito which was quick to come out to me at the table. From my first sip I knew it was a nice cocktail because it was made to my liking. As for my food I ordered the chicken special, which was both filling and enjoyable.Overall the service was fantastic, the staff were really friendly and made sure everything was up to standards.
Always love a 2 for 1 on revs cocktails. They’re always really good, and they always have a large variety of different cocktails to choose from. The food is good as well, it’s like a step up from pub grub. The atmosphere is good and always busy. It does get a bit crowded at times though, and make sure you book a table on Friday and Saturday nights to avoid not being able to find a seat. Love the décor that they have too!
Been here tons for drinks on nights out; always a majority favourite. Never been in for food before, tasted superb! Wait for the food was a little long, but it looked like our server was waiting on everyone in there, and he kept a cool head. Wonderful Birthday lunch.
Went there yesterday with friend. Very cosy and pretty place specially on a cold day. Service was great. And food was really good. I had veg burger that came with a very nice yet unique salad. As i am trying to eat healthy it was perfect option for me. And friend order chicken parmasan. Which she really liked too. And food took a bit of time to come out, which i Always see as a good sign that food is made fresh. Staff was fast and very friendly. But the biggest surprise came with bill. When we only have to pay for one. Because they have a offer 2 eat for price of 1 all january 2019. And after that every monday. Can,t wait to go back with hubby again. Plenty of choice. I gave 4 stars because it just was,t as high end but i will highly recumend.
Good food good price good service especially from Kelly. Good atmosphere 10/10
The place is quite cute and in a great location. Clean, well organised, wooden tables with great atmosphere.Good service - always with a smile.Food is good but it is more casual and a bit pub like. A little bit more upscale Whetherspoons. Cocktails are lovely but very pricey. Not really a romantic place so wouldn’t recommend for a date but might be good for birthday drinks. For a night out it’s very busy with people and dance. Lots of younger crowd but good music. Watch out for cards at the bar as they overcharged us once as we didn’t see what the amount was when we tapped the card.Overall good place for lunch and night out if you’re not too fussed about finding something one of a kind.
Very good chain bar, restaurant perfect for light bites, burgers, drinks etc before going to the theatre or just shopping round town.good fun in evenings for lads/girls nights out good selection of beers, cocktails and very friendly staff
