Reubens Glen Walk - Hiking area in Omagh, United Kingdom
Lovely wee walk, stony path alongside a stream, very picturesque. Linear walk.
Very nice little single track walkway thats just off the main road. Ground can be quite muddy in places, so waterproof footwear would be advisable, a few downed trees across your way, but easily gotten over. The only parking is on the layby.
Beautiful walk. Nice to see a forest left truly to nature. Definitely wear good walking boots this time of year as can be quite muddy in some places. Few trees have fallen on the path so be prepared to do a bit of manoeuvreing to get through. Will definitely be back to this little gem.
Lovely single track walk in woods. Park on the main Moneymore road layby and go down the steps. Cars travel very fast on this road, so be careful.Wish people wouldnt just drop their rubbish in the woods as they walk ...
Its a nice quiet spot for a walk but it hasnt hasnt well maintained with trees blocking the path etc and it is extremely muddy in spots, maybe bring ur wellys if ur coming here
Peaceful, wooded glen walk that follows a stream on an 18 minute linear walk, youll do the return walk in under 40 minutes. Its located near Moneymore and Magherafelt. Its not well signposted, but start the walk in a layby on the A29 about 3 miles north of Moneymore. Once in the layby youll see the information board for the walk. You start the walk from a busy road, but within minutes it becomes very quiet. You pass through five wooden gates before you reach the end at a fenced off area and a yellow sign on a tree saying private no entry, just return the same way you came. It can be muddy, so wear wellies in wet weather. Theres picnic tables at the start of the walk and benches along the route.
Very mucky at this time of year. But that doesnt put a dedicated geocacher of 🙂 Found all 4 easily. Enjoyed it and was surprised how busy it was. 11 cars parked up. Great place to escape Covid.
Nice spot for quite walk
Good for the dog
Beautiful walk for kids
Lovely wooded Glen beside stream with much of the old Moneymore to Draperstown coach way still clearly discernible. Stout outdoor footwear advisable - more for mud than uneven surfaces.
Not much of a walk
Very good
Oooh lovely
Its really dark at night. Probably lovely during the day tho. Sturdy footwear required - the path was partially washed away so was difficult to navigate on this day. Cant wait to return in daylight...
Nice place.. needs some work to the paths after the recent down pours..
Pleasant place for a pint and a game of pool, pints are good and cheap as well served by a good barman, pleasant and friendly customers, plenty of sport on numero6 TV,s.will definitely call again.
Nice quiet walk, not too taxing. Wellies a must.
Its was so disappointing when I went on this walk. It has so much to show. It is a gorogish stop, peaceful with the river flowing and your able to walk right down to it. It badly needs work done to the walk ways. I had to claim under two trees near the start of my walk. Then i wasnt able to reach the end, as life stock had turn up the one part of the path so much i couldnt walk threw it with out being stuck pass my ankles. Who is in charge of these wall ways. Its sad its not being more push as it is a lovely path.
Gorgeous walk through a densely wooded glen. Not another soul around. Needs some maintenance here as there are many fallen trees so place has the air of somewhere abandoned. Highly recommended in autumn. Lots of grey squirrels. Takes a few moments walk to get away from traffic noise.
