Restorant Kalaja e Lekuresit in Sarande

The place and view is worth seeing. Been here two times and both times reviewed horrible and slow service. Food is not worth the money. Staff is walking around with phone in one hand and menu in another. Do not recommend to eat here!

Staff is not oriented ,not welcoming

They wont bring you coffee before you order it three times. The waitress is saying that coffee machine is broken and we saw the table next to us that drank coffee. Then after third time I said him I want coffee he bring it. But the next table didnt become the order.

The restaurant keeps a poor monkey in a very small cage. The monkey urinates under itself… it’s 21st century. Not human and not humanitarian. I wasn’t even considering eating/drinking anything after seeing the monkey

VERY DISGUSTING FOOD.They will give you what is left from others and they warm in microwave and cold ice inside.🤮🤮🤮.OVERPRICED. You can eat very nice food in the city and not with ridiculous prices like here.

Отвратительное место.We decided to leave this place for the dessert of our vacation, thinking that this place was the face of Sarande. Unfortunatelly, this face is just horrible.People who work there are unexplecibly wild, rude, unprofessional and have no idea what hospitality service is.The person who called himself as in-charge, but didnt introduce himself - absolutelly apathetic and violent, when we started to explain what happened he told us that he didnt care and we should have left the place if we didnt like it, after that he shown his back with a lot of rude and offensive words.As a conclusion, the view from that area is absolutelly breathtaking and the castle must be visited in order to see it and take pictures. However, after doing it youd better come back to the city to enjoy your lunch/dinner/breakfast in a good restaurant not to ruin your experience. This place is not a restaurant, it is simply an overpriced dump.

Disgusting place! Very very very rude, unprofessional and just plain awful staff! No one speaks English, the waiter and then the person in-charge just basically told us to leave if we don’t like anything. That’s pure shame that such people work in a restaurant in the castle that is basically the face of the city. The views from the castle are breathtaking but DO NOT EVER try to eat at this restaurant as the place is overpriced and the staff is just 🤯🤯🤯Go there to enjoy the sunset and take nice photos and then come back to the city to eat in some good restaurant instead of this abomination of an eatery!

Terrible food. Reheated fries not fresh. Cold ravioli as the steaks, roasted potatoes boiled. Only thing making it a decent experience was the acts and view. FYI they apparently dont take Card payments so cash only to be prepared to hurtle you.

Amazing view, just stay for a drink.Food was very bad.Salad - No taste, no seasoning, likely put out from a packet from a supermarket.Soup - Not edible.Tzatziki - was edible, but very normal.Potatoes - just boiled, nothing else.The service was worse than the food. Please see below reviews, yes the waiting staff (curly hair guy- is just rude. Probably overworked, but doesnt mean they should treat their customers like this.Stay away, do not eat here. Get a drink, enjoy the sunset, and then leave for dinner elsewhere.

If I could rate this place with 0, I would do it!We have waited for more than hour for 2 small dishes.the waiter is rude!the manager shifts the responsibility to the waiters and just leavesDisgusting

Pizza are nothing special. Prices are high l, but has to do with popular location.

Great food and beautiful location, only the monkey in the tiny cage with all the people driving it crazy is plain animal torture. Free the monkey! Not cool.

Extremly low manners!The curly waiter was horrible!I said that I want a table for 8 people, he prepared a table for 12 and he was angry about we were 6 adults and 3 kids... after verry rude words about kids he rise up 3 of us and took one of our tables.They ask repeatedly for big tips...The view is outrageous but the employers are rude and looking for money only and they dont give a sh@* about clients!Food... is 5 out of 10.... nothing special!I Will NEVER came back!!!

The view is breathtaking at all times.Medieval style, you will have the impression to eat in a game of thrones scene. We even had life music and some of us got to dance a little bit Albanian style.Food is of good quality but a bit expensive for very small portions.All in all its a MUST for Saranda.

Great place on any aspect but main tall bold host needs to be fired ASAP.He was very rude and did not welcomed us just because we spoke Albanian presuming that we are poor.Once we switched to English and let him know that we are Americans than he was about to suck our di*k

Service was poor. The music around was beautiful but too loud and disturbing.

Very bad service. But view is good:

we ordered Cappuccino, although they have the proper machine, they brought a coffee that was prepared instant powder. when we told them that is not proper Cappuccino, they bring the decent one, BUT THEY CHARGED THEM BOTH (we didnt drink the powder ones). the chief waiter was very rude and tried to engage a fight. DONT EAT IN HERE!!!

Amazing views of the sunset and cityscape but everything smelled like cheese 🧀 the restaurant was full of a cheese smell from the windows to the walls! The wine even smelled of old stale cheese and when we attempted to call the server over to order food he ran into the bathroom most likely to cut the cheese. 3/5 would only come back to watch the sunset.

Bad service, expensive and on top of that they tried to steal 1000 LEK when was paying the bill (the bald waiter)

Very nice place. The view from the castle itself is mesmerizing. The food is good. The service really polite and with a smile. There is live music which makes the atmosphere even nicer. Excellent place for a walk, photos and dinner above the crowd and noise of Saranda. We loved it!

Had my sister‘s birthday dinner there in July. The food was really bad. A waste of time and money!

Great view during sunset oh very friendly staff! The food was probably the best we had in sarandë so far. The road to get there are quite narrow though, ok to drive if youre calm and careful.

This ancient looking, and a castle built up on the top of the top, gives you this spectacular view of the city, the area. The food is good, it has live music, plenty of space inside out and the place itself is historic. The customer service though is a little short on staff, hence expect service delays.

A very nice place to visit as it is a symbol in the city. The castle is small, has been rebuilded in part. You can join the wonderful view of Saranda from above. Fantastic! The castle inside has a bar/restaurant. I wouldnt say that ive had good experience in the bar. We asked for ice creams as i knew years ago they did very nice ones but choices where just two. Second of all i didnt like was the service of some waiters. The one that served us didnt even clean the table! Visit this place its really nice and for free. :)

Amazing place! Beautiful views especially for sunsets. The whole castle is made into restaurant (a little strange but...)Be careful on the road to the castle because it is not wide enough and there are a lot of U turns.

My favorite restaurant in Saranda. The drive up and down to the restaurant is exciting. The views from top to Saranda are amazing. Wonderful place to watch the sunset. They often have live music in evenings.

Regular food, not special at all. Actually the worst food I ever had in Albania. I dont understand this - you Albanians have such good traditional food, why make a restaurant with bad italian cuisine? Some people here wrote the food is excellent. Well, the view is, the service is, but the food is good at best. The bruschetta is a few pieces of tomatoes and some chees on wet toast, the Caprese has very untasty Mozzarella, the Penne with Pesto is actually an uninventive cream sauce, the pasta with Seafood is ok but not very tasteful and the main meat or seafood dishes are just a mountain of either one in grilled form that every single one of you hobby Barbecue-masters could easily make at home. Again, its not bad, but its not really good also. If you want to go there just for the view, do it. Sometimes they even have life music. But if youre in for the food, just have a few drinks there and then go somewhere else. Especially for the absolutely european prices in this restaurant, you can easily find something twice as good directly on the beach promenades!
