Restoranas GABI - in Vilnius, Lithuania
Restoranas GABI in Vilnius
Description
We specifically asked for cepelinai once we came. Had to wait 35 minutes to be told that there is no cepelinai apparently. No food and waste of time
MoreGreat traditional Lithuanian food!
Great Food, Service and Staff. Very nice atmosphere.
Very picturesque interior, great Lithuanian cuisine, super helpful waiters and menu in 4 languages. Maybe the portions were a bit small, considering the price, but overall great experience. And they have a cat!
MoreVery delicious food and nice service, I highly recommend.
Very good place to have dinner. Very interesting interior and exterior. Tasty food. But the amount of food is small. The prices are big.
MoreBest place for Leonard Cohen lovers
A nice and cosy little restaurant. Ordered a lamb-dish at €24, which was very little food, price considered. The meat could also have been far more tender.Their self-brewed beer was delicious, and the dessert very good. All in all an OK experience.
MoreVery nice athmosphere, ok food.
Very nice restaurant - local food, local beer and great service
VERY GOOD CHOICE!!! Service in hight level!very cozy environment
Unfiltered White Beer ! Own brand :GABI
Satisfactory, just off the busier pedestrianised road.
Great food, quirky decor
The service was very nice. The atmosphere is great, prices are reasonable but the food was only ok...
MoreWe had dinner here and it was delicious! At the picture you can see a variety of traditional food for 4 people.A staff was also really nice.We will come back for sure.
MoreVery good food, delicious ...Staff can speak english, polish and of course lithuanian..Bardzo polecam
MoreLovely autentique place, good food, friendly service
Very nice service :weter speaks perfect English, Lithuanian specials are delicious 😍 great pleace to sit next to the fire in the rainy day :highly recommended
MoreGreat traditional food and a welcoming service. The courtyard is a perfect location for a sunny day in Vilnius. Definitely a recommendation for visitors of this beautiful city!
MoreA great find. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and informative. The building and decor blew my mind. I would 100% recommend Gabi.
MoreThe restaurant was very upmarket - traditional yet classy decoration, very smart staff and the food was small and beautifully presented. Two courses and drinks for two came to 60E. Would definitely recommend leaving space for a pudding, and loved the Gabi special!
MoreVery nice restaurant around the corner from my hotel. Nice staff, really good food carefully prepared by a talented chef but for a good price. Love the elegant, unique decor--a table near me made of an antique bellow! Great music, too. I had the hoki and also bought some unique Lithuanian fruit wines sold here.
MoreThe meal was fine although it took really long to get it. Orders for one table are not delivered in one time - when your companions already get their orders, you can sit and watch them eating (in my case, 10 minutes or sowith no reason explained. The menu is unimpressive and expensive. Quite an old-fashioned place with loud and disturbing music. Unpleasant atmosphere and staff barely understand English. Not recommended.
MoreGood place for eating a Lithuanian meal. Also the great selection of wines is good for the test and the discovery of flavors and aromas.
MoreThis is a beautiful restaurant with also a beautiful outside terrace. Service is friendly and kind Food is however very ordinary. Had a leg of lamb that consisted of what looks like very thin dry lambchops. And chewy.
MoreLovely courtyard, very nice service. Fantastic quality of food. The salmon with pickles and avocado sauce was outstanding.
MoreSuper nice. Calm place, staff speaking 5 languages and is extremely polite, very tasty food, great locality and beautiful courtyard. For sure to recommend!!
MoreGood food for an afternoon meal. I enjoyed the Lithuanian farm cheese and their potato pancakes. A bonus was their music, which was an awesome selection of 80s New Wave hits!
MoreGreat little restaurant with local and authentic food tucked away from the Main Street.Tasty food, decent pricing and attentive staff with good English
Moreif you want to go for the traditional Lithuanian food (thats what the locals told me), go there. quite heavy but tasty and good beer.
MoreI simply enjoed this place. Waitresses was kind and all the service was absolutely professional. This unfortunate time of Covid-19 is really devastating but this restaurant deserve to survive.Especially bexause they cook the lithuanian cuisine, which is delicious.
MoreLook. Any restaurant who has their own brick collection is 5 star awesomeness on my opinion. The food was good, beer tasty and the log fire a welcome respite from the cold Lithuanian weather. But trust me on the bricks. A must see.
MoreAbsolutely fantastic decor. Kettle, instant coffee and tea selection available at all times. The bed was a bit narrow for two scandinavian-sized people. And the duvet was really skimpy.Warm breakfast at noon: an omelette or pancakes - why not!
MoreNice and impressive interior. Well separated tables with enough space. Air is fresh. Our waitress were quite surprised that we a little bit noisy. She asked us: "why are you are laughing"?So please keep your mouth closed, please be serious, do not smile, and your order will be delivered on time....Home made bred Gaby, looks like frozen bred.We were lucky that the waitress made compromise and accepted main course order at 9:20 PM.
MoreHad a wonderful meal on our last night in Vilnius, and maybe the best meal in town. Lovely ambiance, wonderful pink soup and main entrees. Great wine list and desserts as well.
MoreThe place looks nice, menu looks great but service was subpar too the point where dining experience is ruined. The waiter came expecting order maybe 45 seconds after menu arrived. After asking for a bit more time to decide, they almost forgot its for good 10 minutes. Cepelinai came out luke warm. Thats simply unacceptable, oh and true to their earlier behavior no one came by to check on food. Im not coming back there, there are plenty of places with similar menu, and probably better service.
MoreThe best service by staff I have had in Vilnius in terms of professionalism. The building is old and very rich in its décor. Food is perhaps more on the expensive side, however it is a taste experience and ours was well worth the price.
MoreFood was quite good for both of us. Well-prepared and visually appealing. Had the special GABI dessert - scrumptious! The building itself is beautiful and beautifully decorated. Upscale prices. Im taking one star off because the WC is down a steep curving staircase. Very difficult for someone mobility impaired such as myself. But otherwise highly recommend!
MoreBad food while not so cheap. We had a platter for 2 people for 29 Euros, but didnt tast at all. Seemed like convinience food, all fried and dry. Desserts were ok. Bu all in all we had a bill for 70 Euros for 2 people and it was not nice at all... Not again...
MoreWe visited the restaurant in the low season, so were a bit concerned when we couldnt find anyone to seat us when we arrived. That was literally our only concern, considering we had made no booking. As soon as the member of staff appeared from the kitchen we were well looked after. Seated right near the fire (ideal!! Temperatures were due to be -12 that night! We could not have been more looked after - staff were attentive - stoicism not to be confused with rudeness, making sure they were on hand at every point. The food was beautiful, and good - but sensible - portions at a good price. A note - the interior is beautiful but they have requested no photographs (which is a shameand please let them hang up your coat!
MoreThe restaurant is a bit away from the main tourist street, so there were free tables and it was not so noisy. Beautiful stylish interior. Very tasty set of national dishes for 2 persons.
MoreInterior designers successfully created unique style combining bourgeois parlour with medieval iron bars, chains, hooks and village elements like massive window frames with carvings or hundreds of keys. Specialty of the cuisine are traditional local meals; it is not Italian or Russian. Photos are forbidden. They serve lot of Polish guest. Waiters are young, beautiful, trained and polite. Not cheap. Not fast food. Heres experience to enjoy slowly.
MoreGreat place to sit, secluded from the busy streets. Friendly staff and good food. I liked the cold beet soup a lot, a bit to my surprise and the potato pancake was also really good! The white chocolate dessert was not our favorite. With two starters, two mains, two drinks and a dessert we spend ~30 euros.
MoreUltra Slow service, not tasty, and overpriced. In detail:The service is the Slowest ever. We practically needed to beg, to receive the menu (while the restaurant was pretty empty!). After that, the soup took a half and hour to be served, and the drinks followed, only after we reminded them. Then, the main dishes came not that tasty, like if it was 2-3 days old dish, and quiet coldy (only to wounder, if it took them, to make it, for 40 minutes, why it was not hot ?!?). Supprisengly - the removing of empty plates, was very fast.
MoreOne of the best restaurants I have ever visited! Staff and service was excellent, nice and serviceminded. The interieaur was Fantastic in old Vilnius style and the Lithuanian food was very tasty, AND with moderate prices. A must visit!
MoreWe didnt get past the courtyard so I cant say anything about the interior. The weather was rainy but the staff was still cheerful. The house beer is very nice, the food is good and the prices are reasonable if you avoid the entrees. We had the Lithuanian platter for two or three. It was plenty for three for lunch. They also run a B&B and the location for that couldnt be better.
MoreNice selection of meals, including traditional Lithuanian food, reasonably priced, cosy interior and very polite staff. The service is a tad slow, definitely not recommended if you are looking for a quick bite.
MoreI generally dont rate 5 but the service, food and hygiene prompted me to do so.Very quality food and a good selection of beers and wines. If you want to taste traditional Lithuanian food Gabi is the place. Attentive and gentle staff adds to your experience.
MoreIt starts with a beautiful setting, inside & outside, away from the crowd, nice staff but it stops right there in the plates! We had a lamb and a carp fillet : no savors, overcooked and dry... A big effort to be made in the kitchen!
