Restaurante San José - Restaurant in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba
Restaurante San José in Sancti Spiritus
Description
Privilege
The menu features too many dishes and we probably made the wrong decision for our order. The chicken (parmesan chicken with spaghettilooked a bit pinkish and undercooked and the pizza was mediocre. The food and the drinks are expensive compared to other places in Cuba (I ordered water and they had only super expensive Evian of 330 ml). There were many flies around us. But I have to admit that the portions were big and the service was nice.
MoreBest restaurant in Trinidad so far. Excellent service and fresh food 🥘😋🍾
MoreBeautiful restaurant, delicious food and great service. Favourite restaurant in Trinidad!
MoreWhat an amazing place ! Its an escape to different reality!Thank you guys . Food is amazing service is the best !
MoreOne of the best meals I had in Cuba. Great quality and a standout in Trinidad.
Great restaurant to go, the best service and food, it is just amazing!
Beautifull restaurant but food not worth the high price.
Best place to eat at in Trinidad, Cuba. Prices are good and food is amazing!
I can’t find words to express how the service and the food was 🙌 I’m speechless 😶 My fiancé and I were treated 💯 from walking into the restaurant and out. Being my first time in Trinidad I will highly recommend this restaurant.Till next time #LA MEXICANA🇺🇸
MoreReally professional place with great foods. The mango daiquiri and michellada were so nice! Theres rooms with air conditioning and the waiters are lovely
MoreThe pasta was incredible, they even found some soy sauce for the white rice! The bruschetta was so fresh and the calamari was very tender! The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was really welcoming! Always VERY busy! Try to get there early but then go across the street Nd enjoy some viola music while you wait!
MoreTourist trap. Seafood cream was bad. Lobster subpar. Better stay away, there are way better restaurants in Trinidad.
MoreExcellent food. Excellent service. Clean restrooms. We have been here twice. Highly recommendable!
MoreThat restaurant was the best food experience in Cuba for us in 14 days. The fish was perfect, and the "guarniciones" were also delicious. The employees are so efficient and helpful. Quite different from the standard, the bathrooms are clean and fully working.
MoreRegardless all good recommendations here: typical tourist restaurant. Quite expensive for value.Big tv, no atmosphere. My son had chicken and it smelled like bad porkmeat! Regarding pizza: why should anyone eat pizza in Cuba??
MoreI found particularly hard to find a good restaurant in Cuba but this one made my vacations. Great food, a lot of variety and reasonable prices. Definitely a must if you are in Trinidad or nearby
More5+ probably the best restaurant in Cuba! European standard with the attention to the details. Really nice place for the not expensive price.
MoreGreat food, great staff and reasonable prices. Glad we took the recommendation to go there.
MoreAmazing food and service. Big portions too! Easily one of the best in Trinidad
We visited Cuba for 15 days. Born in Cuba and migrated at age 2. The best food I had in Cuba. We stayed in Cayo Santa Maria but the food It was a recommendation from Iberostar Hotel. This was our favorite restaurant we had in Cuba. We visited various places in CUBA but this restaurant was the best. Havana has food food. Cuba is a beautiful country with exceptional people.
MoreAmazing experience! The best service all around Cuba! Dont be affraid of prices. They have very affordable dishes, and the staff is very friendly and creative.
MoreOk good
Trinidad is a magical place in Cuba. Viniales and Trinidad were the highlight of our journey in Cuba. When it comes to food in Cuba, food is pretty simple and plain. In some place the food might not taste that good. But - SAN José is by far the most splendid restaurant you can find in Trinidad. The food is delicious the service is outstanding and you can feel the love and atmosphere of old fashioned Trinidad.Don’t miss out!
MoreThis is a definite recommendation, the serving sizes where phenomenal and the service was stupendous!!! Not to mention that the food was fresh and amazingly well cooked!! Probably one of our most memorable parts of cuba to date!!!
MoreI have to review this place. Best food we had in Cuba, great value and great service. Worth the ten minutes or so wait.
MoreAn extremely well run restaurant that serves the best food we had in Cuba! Even buzzers for while you wait to minimise chaos.
MoreBest restaurant in town, large portions and fair prices. Cocktails were great also.
MoreWent there twice during the stay in Trinidad and both times satisfied. Got a buzzer for waiting! Really modern in Cuba. I had taro cream and Chinese butterflies, which is like fried dumpling wrapper with ham(炸馄饨皮,带点火腿馅)My friend had Ropa Vieja (pulled beef in tomato saucewith taro and black bean rice. Really tasty. The dessert Flan was good too.The second time we tried fried cheese balls, stuffed banana (not my favoriteand Pizza Habanera (for around 6 cuc).Price ratio cant be better. A must try in Trinidad!
MoreBest restaurant I have been to in two weeks in Cuba in terms of value for money.
The best restaurant Ive ever had in Cuba, a rich menu, excellent service, tasty dishes and not expensive !!
MoreTheir food and service are amazing. My girlfriend, unable to decide what to order, chose the grilled chicken thinking it would be boring. We both agreed it was the best tasting chicken we have ever had in our lives. The wait to get in was long, but it was worth it. We just wish we had tried this place sooner.
MoreSimply the best restaurant in Trinidad and one of the best ones in Cuba.Expect a queue especially for dinner, otherwise go there for late lunch or very early dinner. The food was just great. After many disappointments trying other places recommended by travel guides and locals, this one ranks way above and out of scale.Loved the fresh lemonade (probably the best lemonade I’ve ever had), the complementary warm bread and olive oil with melted parmesan cheese, the tostones con camarones, the lobster with bechamel sauce, and last but not least the lobster in red sauce (giant, well cooked, tasty and definitely the best lobster I’ve ever had). The flan was not exceptional though.Overall not cheap but the meals we had were absolutely worth it. We did not pay much less in other (terribleplaces...Five-star service. The food came fairly quickly although the restaurant was full. The staff was helpful, very nice and smiling. Special thanks to Danay who served us!
MoreWhat a gem in Trinidad! We went there two times during our stay and enjoyed it so much! The food is great, but the athmosphere before dinner makes it even more special. You cant book tables in advance, so you wait there with a little pager on the street with a drink. Go there a bit earlier, order some Mojito and enjoy a cigar while you sit on the stairs and watch the streets and the two lovely street dogs that are there. One of the great scenes I will keep in mind when I think about Cuba. After that you enjoy a great dinner and will leave peacefully and at ease. Thank you San José!
MoreOur favourite restaurant so far... On day 7! The grilled fish was cooked to perfection. If anything what we ordered was a little dry and we needed more sauce.. That was our choice though..excellent service too!
MoreFantastic independent restaurant that was very busy on the Tuesday we visited. Its right across the street from an empty gov run restaurant. Good to see this place doing well!
MoreNice place with delicious food. The staff was helpful.
Very nice food and service
As everybody else says, this is the place to go. Dont expect fireworks, but compared with food in Cuba, this place is great. Decent food, efficient service and even an A/C room inside. Best choice in town.
MoreGood place to taste lobster! Paella is delicious and could be shared by two. Bread is lovely heaten and served with olive oil mixed with smashed tomato. Papaya juice is tasty.
MoreVery good food and good price as well. Always have a waiting list but very organised and totally worth it waiting for
MoreNo more than a 4. Decent food. Gets busy so go early!... Or wait in a queue. Very good vino tinto though.
MorePork beef burger combo was OK. Salad was great. Great natural juices. Reasonable prices.
MoreGreat food. Nice place
Very nice restaurant. I tried their lasagna and it was the best Ive had in Cuba. They do have fans to help circulate the air so it doesnt get to hot.
MoreBest restaurant we found in town. Great portions and ok prices. Queues likely, so go with time and pick up your queue number.
MoreCompared to the rest of the countrys restaurants, San Jose is a real OASIS
Best restaurant weve been in in all of cuba. The food is delicious. The prices are fair but it gets kind of crowded.
Morethe best restaurant in Trinidad, lobster cost about 15 cuc
really good restaurant, even in international standards. the best dinner we had in Cuba.
MoreOne of the best in Trinidad. Good food, good prices.
