Restaurante Meknes Rahma - Moroccan restaurant in Granada, Spain
Restaurante Meknes Rahma in Granada
Description
Privilege
Worst scam restaurant which you would want to avoid at all costs.A chicken leg with French fries and cuscus for €45 and no shame in the process either.
MoreThe location looks very inviting but the food wasnt great to be honest and the service very poor. On few ocasiones we were chasing the waiter for salt, drinks, Bill. Weve asked for vegetarian cos cos it came out as chicken cos cos. Not something I would recommend to be honest.
MoreVery tasty food and good service
Great Moroccan restaurant in the heart of Granada. Nice atmosphere and fantastic service, we loved the tajines and the salads!
MoreDelicious! Tajines were excellent, great amount of spices. Tea was delicious. Service was efficient and very friendly. Great spot to relax in, to escape the chaos of the Granada streets on a Friday night!
MoreHad the Lamb roasted veg cous cous dish and it was delicious, very moist, warm and hearty. Also tried the Moroccan Tea, sweet and minty, very nice. Good portion size for a reasonable price.
MoreI love that place! The falafel and the Moroccan tea were amazing! The atmosphere and the service is also great :Ill definitely come again and I recommend to you to check the place as well!
MoreGreat location, very tourist oriented, hummus was on the watery/loose side not great, falafel was crispy but mild in taste, vegetable tagine was not very flavorful, mint lemonade was excellent
MoreWe thought the decor looked lovely but did seem quite dark, turns out they had no lights working, when i went in to ask for a table they said no because theres no lights. Another waiter then came over and told us to take a seat outside and it’d be ok.Salad and hummus for starters were ok. When my partners chicken tagine and rice arrived the rice was clumped together and cold, the chicken was also cold and tasteless. I made a waiter aware of this and he said “yes we have no lights” and took it away, not offering a replacement dish or anything, she was just left there with no dinner. On closer inspection on my chicken and lamb skewers, which i was already suspicious of because of the heat (cooked meats should be served piping hot), the chicken was pink. I had already eaten a few bits so god knows what condition I’ll be coming down with in a few days.I made the waiter (the one who ushered us in and assured us the lighting would have no problem aware of the raw chicken and showed him it. He walked away for a few minutes and then came back apologetic and said we cannot work under these conditions. There was also another waiter, perhaps a chef, who came over to where we were sitting and was tutting at us.Having now read other reviews i can see that the lighting had nothing to do with the issues of raw chicken and cold, hard rice, but these are common problems. The lemonade gets 10/10. Order that and then go elsewhere.
MoreGood food and great service. First time eating Moroccon food. Can recommend the place and tasting meny. Only negative is the street musicians who ask for money all the time. But they have nothing do to with the restaurant.
MoreGood food and good tea. The lamb could easily be pulled apart and it was very tasty.
MoreReally good place for tourists. The theme of this restaurant is just stunning with Maroccan architecture and music. The food is just excellent together with the tea. For the enjoyment of culture, TRY IT.
MoreGreat food and a very nice ambiance in the restaurant. The interior is impressive and the staff works hard. Not used to people in Spain speaking English this good, compliments to Ilias for his service! Must-visit when in Granada.
MoreGood place for dinner in central Granada. We started with the harissa (lentil soupand the mutabal (dip), and would recommend the mutabal. For mains we ordered the chicken tajín with apricot and the lamb and vegetable couscous. Both were cooked well and tasted great. One issue is make sure you know what comes with the meals, as the portions are not always balanced. For example, the tajin we ordered only contained the chicken and apricots, if you were expecting rice or couscous on the side that would be extra. Whereas the couscous dish was a large portion of couscous with a few vegetables on top. Overall, tasty and affordable food in central Granada, where there are a lot of touristy places.
MoreOne of the most amazing restaurants i have ever tried in Garnada. Me and my family have Enjoyed it alot, the Couscous was amazing I recommend the Lamb Couscous its worth every Euro!
MoreWe spotted this amazing looking Morrocco restaurant, full of Muslim families, with tables looking out over cobbled streets, offering a taster menu of salads and tangines. Such a lovely meal with lemon & mint on ice and Moroccan peppermint tea. Recommended:)
MoreThis place is so good I came to eat here twice. The ambience is beautiful, staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious. Conveniently located close to Reina Isabela square.
MoreWe tried the vegetarian menu, the food was really good and well presented. Also the local is really nice internally and has a view on the near street. Recommended!
MoreDelightful decor and tasty food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Moroccan tea, it is delicious! We also enjoyed the couscous and chicken curry.
MoreIn general it is a nice decorated place, staff behaviour could have been better. Tried the Arabic sweets, not satisfying.
MoreThey have vegetarian options which was great to try Moroccan food. The atmosphere is very relaxing with background Moroccan music and nice decoration.
MoreWe stopped here for lunch, quite early so we were the only customers. Service was a little slow. The vegetable tagine was ok but the baba-ghanouch and bread were delicious
MoreDelicious Moroccan food - the flavours were amazing we had the tasting menu and we couldn’t fault it! Also very friendly service - thank you
MoreAs a Moroccan who tried many Moroccan restaurants around the world , this one is really typical they kep’t the real Moroccan flavour and Color’s , so it’s highly recommended if you interested in trying the second best cuisine in the world . Also the staff are very friendly .
MoreAmazing place, Tajine was very tasty.Very friendly staff. Thank you
We had the menu for €15 which included big portions (starter and main- the food was delicious. The service was very great and the decorations inside are stunning. I would highly recommend.
MoreI paid twice!!On 5/6/22 I had lunch at this restaurant. The food was great. The bill was 21 euros, but when I tried to pay by credit card the waiter informed me that my card was not accepted. Unfortunately the information on the POS machine was in Spanish so I could not understand it. In the end I paid cash. Later when I checked my card account I found out that my card had been charged. I sent a message to the restaurant but until now (2 days laterthey have not answered.
MoreWe had an amazing meal that was absolutely delicious. Fried Spinach salad, Lamb couscous and Lamb tajine. The flavor combinations with the meat veg fruit and spices was marvelous. Enjoy a unique meal experience here.
MoreReally bad experience. Tajin was Dry chicken piece with very little soup. Who put fries on tajin. The taste was nothing like tajin n the waiter was like its normal.Given price vs food. 1 star is perfect
MoreDelicious, we had dinner here both nights that we spent in Granada. Friendly and nice staff. We recommend Beef tagine with almonds. The Kafta and Chicken Pinchos, falafel and baba ghanouch were excellent as well! Enjoy!
MoreWe stopped in to get some food traditional Moroccan food, but it was so disappointing. The soup tasted like it came from a tin. It was identical to a cheap tin of minestrone soup. I had the veggie tagine. The veg were over cooked and the dish just tasted like it was seasoned with bucket loads of pepper and thyme. I ate one bite and was done. My girlfriend got veggies with rice, and it was rice with frozen peas and some spinach. They charged 14 euro for that. Absolutely mental to charge that much for a dish that costs 2 euro to put together. All in all I would avoid the place. Its a proper tourist trap.
MoreWhen I visit Granada (at least once a year), I always have lunch or just a cup of Moroccan tea here. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent. Highly recommended.
MoreIncredible meal! We loved the four salads dish, the lamb skewers were super juicy, and there are also plenty of vegetarian options! The decor in the restaurant is also beautiful. 10/10
MoreDont know how this place has so many good reviews to be honest. I had the chicken biryani and the eggplant appetizer. The rice in the biryani was undercooked and there was something off about the eggplant. When I woke up the next day, I had an unpleasant surprise. That came and went the whole day.
MoreAmazing food and romantic atmosphere! The staff is very kind and considerate. Also there are many vegetarian and vegan options!! Would recommend for a nice night out
MoreAmazing restaurant. I loved the food and atmosphere. Excellent service too. Definitely will be coming back soon!
MoreReally nice atmosphere. The food is good for a reasonable price. Weve had assorted 4 salads and a chicken pie. My boyfriend thought the pie was a bit dry, but I really liked it.The menu has some vegetarian options and is available in English.
MoreRight in the centre of the city, easy walking from the Cathedral and the walk way down from the Alhambra. Friendly service, very good food and amazing bread (we shared a menu for 2 peopleand ambient atmosphere. We sat next to a small indoor fountain, which was a lovely touch.
MoreBEWARE- Menu is very deceiving!!! The set menu was €12 each and required a minimum of 2 people to order it, so we ordered this for the 4 of us. When the starter came we were shocked at how large the portions were and expressed this to the waiter and he laughed, then continued to bring us an excessive amount of food. At each stage we questioned if he was definitely bringing the right amount per person but he assured us it was. We could only eat half each and expressed that it was too much good for one person. When it came to the bill, we were charged €24 each (the price of 2 set menus each). We complained as obviously we only wanted enough food for 4 people (not 8!!!but the waiter would not let us speak to his boss and forced us to pay it. Left feeling very deceived and ripped off, which was a big shame because the food was nice.
MoreQuality was fine but nothing special. Quantity was a joke considering their prices.
MoreThis was a spontaneous stop for lunch but the staff were very polite and accommodating. The seating was comfortable and the food was delicious. I hope to go to Morocco one day and try more food like this!
MoreI had a great meal in a typical Moroccan restaurant. Delicious soup as a starter and chicken, with onions in a honey saus, spices with special herbs cooked in a traditional tajin. Sweet Moroccan tea and dulces, a special sweet pastry. Right in the center of Granada.
MoreNica and colorful interior, friendly waiter, but the food was rather average. Lacks spices and definitely it is far from Marocan taste.
MoreThe vibrant decorations drew me in. The salads were fresh and delicious. Customer service was great; they were friendly and attentive. I loved how comfortable they made us feel.
MoreWe took the vegetarian Tajin, it was good, and the Harira (moroccan soupwas okay.Expensive, we paid for tea for 2 persons 10 euro.
MoreNice service, clean and authentic place! And delicious morrocan food! I tried Baba Ghanouch, Cuscus, and tajín with plums and almonds!
MoreIf you step in to this restaurant youll find yourself in Morocco. The whole interior is amazing. I had the menue 1001 nights and it was great. They dont serve alcohol. The fresh mint tea was great.
MoreDelicious food, fun decor, and AMAZING service. Great vegetarian options!!! Our waiter, Simon, was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. He explained the dishes to us very clearly and shared some history about Granada. We had the hierbabuena tea, the avocado and garbanzo salad, the vegetable tajin, and the chicken/onion/honey tajin. Everything was stellar. Highly recommend!
MoreGood vibe and delicious lamb, decent prices. Start and finish with Moroccan mint tea (as is with sugar). Cuscus did not taste like it was made fresh but was quite good.
MoreBest food weve had after a week in Spain! Every dish was excellent. Service was outstanding. Im only sorry that we found this gem on our last night here.Beautiful decor inside and lively seating outside. Note that this restaurant is cash only, no credit cards. I found that out when tried to pay our check.
