Restaurante Lilium - Spanish restaurant in Arrecife, Spain
I dined here on a sat night with my husband, daughter and two friends. I’m so confused, as reviews were good, but we found the meal so disappointing!! My chorizo tortilla was basically an omelette.. my friends potatoes were served on a strange unappetising rock plate!! And were so below average in taste and overall concept. My tuna was too salty…. Atmosphere was strange and quiet for a sat night… just an overall disappointing experience.
This is one of the "chic" restaurants in the area, with a formal layout, stylish modern room, and more ambitious cuisine (currently a Michelin Bib Gourmand), though it is still pleasantly easygoing.Judged from a fine dining viewpoint, some of the dishes maybe did not have the most effective presentation or combination of ingredients, but they were all very good, sometimes just stunning and the main ingredients were wonderfully high quality.Service is very friendly even if at times slightly hurried under pressure, and the pacing from the cuisine was uneven, but with such a nice view of the marina, it doesnt matter :-Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a place not to miss if you want to try the Canarian delicacies presented in a modern form.
The food is very good but also very expensive, its very gourmet, you still will be hungry unless you want to spend a lot of money.
We chose this restaurant for our last evening on the island and were not disappointed. It’s a good pick if you want to try the typical dishes from the region, with an elaborated twist. The service is impeccable, we didn’t wait at all.We had 1 starter-1 main-1 dessert and a wine glass each, and it was only 45€ per person.Definitely recommended. We didn’t try the menu degustación but if I go back I’d choose it as I would expect something just as tasteful.
Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere
We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch here. Lilium is a charming local restaurant that celebrates food and wine from Lanzarote. It should be enjoyed in this context -the connection its food has to the region- rather than just serving as a comparison to other fine cuisine. We went for the tasting menu which was delicious, with local wine that was also top notch. We found the service to be friendly and attentive and we will definitely visit again next time we are over! :)
Excelent attention, average food quality
I have been living in Spain for 2.5 years and can call myself a foodie. My wife and I wanted to end our stay in Lanzarote with a good meal. We chose Restaurant Liliium and took the tasting menu. The first 3 dishes were nothing but amuse-bouches given the size, the watercress soup tasted like soapy water, the fois gras was too raw for my wife, the fish as a main course had little taste so it had to be extra salted and the structure of the lamb was tough. We were then served the Petit Fours before dessert. We paid a total of €145 for 2 people and this was the worst dining experience in recent years.
Good tasting menu.
I am still savoring and reminiscing every single dish I had at my dinner last night. I decided on the tasting menu and it is truly, in my opinion, the only way to have the best experience. The tuna was so fresh and buttery, it instantly melted when having it. The star for me was the ‘codero’- the lamb. It was roasted to perfection, tender and crusted with the fatty part of the lamb. The gravy was sweet and was balanced with the creaminess of the mashed potatoes. If you are not a fan or lamb I still would not skip this plate because it was not ‘Game-y’, as lamb tends to be. The plaza in wish it’s located is very lively but Lilium seems to be ‘the odd one out’ as it seems more of area for sports bars and night clubs. That being said, it did not take away from the experience, it added context to the culture and the marina was a beautiful setting. I cannot wait to tell my friends about this place. Service, like everything, was also impeccable and attentive. Chef Orlando came around and greet everyone and it was a nice to thank him for a perfectly curated meal and experience. The one thing I probably wouldn’t have again is the ‘sama’ or a sea bream. I love white fish but it might have just been a too different to what I’m used to. It was similar to a bacalo , flavorful, meaty and lean.
So overrated, was in here (not busy1hr 1/2 for tasting menu and had two small wines with not even the starters done. Food was plain, in fact badly prepared and unpleasant to the point we left it (small platesSettled and left half way through the tasting menu …. A first in my lifetime of eating out.
Catered us a full VEGAN and GF menu for myself and my partner, staff were amazing! Highly recommend to anyone, even if it doesnt meet the dietary requirements at first glance
Vegetarian options limited, I think the food quality was high dependant on what you ordered. Lovely service and a really nice ambiance.
Incredible attention to detail and all over lovely experience
Nice experience. The location is pretty nice (directly on the marinaand the food amazingly good. The price is higher than the other restaurants in town but its definitely worth it.
Gourmet kitchen for a great experience. With one start Michelin, its am absolute go-to. Will come back!
Good food and nice view of the marina.
The value was great. But mainly because the menu was rather cheap. For a place like this I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more, but also get more exciting food. Not sure if I can recommend it.
Excellent restaurant! The food is interesting without being pretentious, nicely presented and very tasty.Staff are really attentive and you get a great view into the open kitchen.Prices were also quite reasonable, especially the local wines.
Nice ambiance and gourmet style food
Brilliant tasting menu and great value 👍
Food was amazing, wonderful services... go there you wont be let down
We were disappointed with our experience at Lilium after reading lots of very positive reviews. The starters were good but mains were terrible. Service was good but I don’t think we should have had to pay for at least one main; there was no flavour at all, congealed sauce, it was dry and had one dry potato and 2 slices of soggy courgette on the side (the sea bass dish). It seemed that the chef had too much to do and maybe that affected the quality of the food? The desserts were very average. What a shame!
Excellent food. Fine dining Spanish style.
Apparently the best espresso this side of the galaxy !!!!
Great place! Amazing Food and Super friendly! Very cool location and loved every minute. highly recommend to everyone!!!
If I could I would leave 10 stars. The restaurant is small but cozy. Its right on the port and is really quiet during the night. The staff is really nice, smiling and you can tell they love what theyre doing. The food was amazing. I would say its the best restaurant Ive ever been too.Highly recommended!
First class fine dining in a relaxed environment.
Really great dishes, cooked perfectly.
Amazing experience! Perfect service
Amazing restaurant! Just eaten here and the food was beautifully presented and delicious! Service was exceptional and I would definitely come back! Prices were reasonable and even the Lanzarote wine was great :)
Brilliant food, beautifully presented on odd plates and bowls. An unusual combination of ingredients but with a great finish. I had the pork/pig as a main and it was amazing; I usually never order pork/pig at restaurant because i am always afriad it will be too dry but the was PERFECT (I wanted more). We hadnt booked but managed to get there just after they opened and got a table. Not a large restaurant, small and cosy, located in the harbour, perfect fora romantic dinner. The staff was very friendly when greeting us and throughout our dinner, even walked us to the door to say goodbye.
Refined, healthy and amazing food
If you come to Lanzarote and have a hire car, this restaurant is a must. We were all delighted with our food, my steak was devine, juicy and seasoned and cooked to perfection. Costs a pretty penny mind :( A lovely rare treat.Service is very attentive, polite and remaining professional, all of the staff only have one intention: perfection.Tip, out of season youll be alright but mid season you apparently have to book well in advance.
We had the tasting menu and it was amazing! Make sure to have a meal there when you are visiting Lanzarote! Its probably best to reserve a table before going there in order to avoid inconvenience (you can do this online as well ! )
Nice :)
Good food but rediculously overpriced. If you can spend 5 more minutes walking go to Charco area which is just across the road from the marina. Three is a bunch of other nice restaurants there.
Dont be fooled by the average look of this place. The food is delicious and the service is really nice. Definitely worth visiting
Outstandingly delicious. Truly wonderful food beautifully prepared and served. Some of the finest fresh fish Ive had in my life, cooked to perfection. Excellent selection of wines, scrumptious desserts, a very special eating experience.
One of the best places in Lanzarote to have a fine dinner. Local food and lovely stuff. A must when visiting the island.
best place in the whole island to have a Michelin meal, Orlando is a ‘crack’ who deserves your visit. Try the ‘degustación’ menu, all good! A must visit, amazing service as you would expect... Lilium is the word to mouth...
Excellent (and originalfood, albeit expensive. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Worth a visit if youre looking for a romantic spot in Lanzarote, away from usual tourist stops.
Excellent food. Very fine restaurant
Very nice restaurant in front of the harbour.Me and my partner went there for our anniversary expecting for a Michelin Star restaurant. The Tasting menu is not worthy for €40 so we opted for a fish base dinner to share: fried quid, scalops and octopus. The prices were overall good for the high quality of the food and the well presented dishes and environment. The menu was simple but refined, not very much choice of fine wine, but still enough to pair our dinner.we highly recommend the scalops ith caramelized banana and as dessert the goat cheese icecream: delicious!
Friendly and efficient service. Fabulous food, carefully and beautifully presented(tasting menu)cooked and served by people with a passion for food and wine!
Food was unbelievable, had to go back
What a sadly disappointing eating experience. We had lunch, a set lunch with chefs choices at Lilium and left feeling unhappy after what we thought to be an unsatisfactory experience. The waitress explained what the chef was offering and we accepted this offering. The starter was Corn Soup which was unpleasant in its texture and taste being thick and lumpy and overly salted. One diner did not eat it and the other did but did not find it satisfying. What we found peculiar was that the waitress paid no attention to the virtually untouched serving of soup. This is a first for us, any restaurant, especially one sporting a Michelin reference outside its doors should be interested in its customers response. This we think was unaccpetable. The main of Hake, was to come served with a veloute sauce which in our experience should be a smooth, buttery sauce but we were served with a congealed yellow substance which was more like a split custard, this was however edible but only average in taste and delivery. One diner in advance of dessert, asked to have an alternative to that offered as part of the set menu, making it clear that an extra payment would be forthcoming only to be told that the dessert was already prepared and so declined any dessert. Much to the amazement of both diners, the dessert was brought to the table and set in front of the diner despite a request to forego any dessert. Why this happened we are unsure but it sat uneaten and was a source of amazement and indeed bemusement. Again there being evidence of a disregard for the customer. We are diners with experience, we eat out regularly, and often in Michelin starred establishments. We found this experience to be disappointing, exasperating at times and not customer focussed at all.
Very nice place, food was fantastic.Everything was Perfect.
Wonderful food, and beautiful views. A must visit restaurant in Lanzarote.
We have just eaten the most fantastic lunch for Christmas Day!The octopus tentacle with red pepper & houmus was a mouthwatering starter & the fresh hake was so succulent in the white wine sauce with clams. The presentation of the food was superb as was the service.A truly memorable experience!Thank you.
