Restaurante La Reserva 12 - Restaurant in Malaga, Spain
Restaurante La Reserva 12 in Malaga
Description
Privilege
Always lots of ambience outside in the terrace . Great food and wine in the centre of Malaga
MoreDelicious dinner for 4 this evening. We all had fish - perfectly cooked and served by a charming waiter. Everything perfect. Booked again for Thursday evening as it was so good.
MoreThe meal was excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a good portion size. You just have to ignore the ignorant waiter.
MoreGood food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff
Ate here twice in a week. It’s that good.Love the seafood here. Every dish brings out the freshness of the seafood and the traditional taste of Spanish food with its focus on bringing out the natural taste of the basic ingredients. Next time I’m in Malaga, will still come back here.P.S. if you’re into sci fi utopia novels, do check out the book on last picture which is available on Amazon. Highly recommended read while waiting for your food to come. 😁
MoreMade a vegan meal especially. Avocado and tomato salad then pasta with mushrooms. Non vegan had a very meaty meal and was happy
MoreGreat location and decent restaurant. Staff are not as attentive as they could be and food is good but not fantastic.
MoreIm going to write this one in English, because, though I do speak Spanish...I just cant describe our experience here outside of my native tongue😂. Wow! This was such a bad dining experience in every way....it has become a long running joke in my family. It was just me and my partner looking to find some dining spots in our new city. We know the risks of just going somewhere without a recommendation, but we had to eat, so we decided on reserva 12 because of the location and the menu looked good.Pros: beautiful locationCons: the service was the weirdest I have ever seen. There appeared to be enough servers, and the restaurant wasnt full (red flag), but they were so rushed and stressed I think it triggered my own fight or flight response.... unfortunately, we decided to stay and fight through this experience. The servers wouldnt even look at us when we ordered, or when they delivered food. At one point, my partner ordered another glass of white wine and the server just poured a glass of red...directly into the same glass...and then ran away. The food...Thank God we didnt order too much. We ordered clams, fried shrimp, and salmonetes. The clams werent off or anything like that, but they were just not good. Flavorless and not prepared or presented well. It was a small portion and we didnt finish. To be honest, the fried shrimp were a mistake, we wanted the whole shrimp grilled, but one way or another we ended up with fried (i think it was our error). We were presented with a bowl of tiny tiny fried things. It was the least appetizing thing I have ever seen. It looked like a gigantic bowl of fried bugs. We took our error in stride and decided to try to eat some of it. We didnt enjoy it and it was taken away practically untouched. Finally the salmonetes. These were not bad and we were happy to have something we could stomach.I went inside to use the aseos and was not surprised to see a bucket of disgusting water, caught from the freezer in the dining room. If I had seen this before making the reservation I wouldnt have made it. I dont remember the state of the bathrooms, so that is probably a good sign.Clearly we didnt stick around for an after dinner drink or dessert. It was a horrible dining experience, but was it worth it to have an ongoing joke that we can laugh about for years to come? I think so.There are some excellent restaurants in Málaga and a whole lot of Reserva 12s. Sometimes you find a gem and other times, the risk doesnt quite pan out in your favor. We wont be recommending or returning.
MoreGreat food Quality. Great Service. Nothing to complain. Must try. A bit pricey but worth it!
MoreTop
Food is fantastic, but staff was sad and sub-standard. Not attentive to our table. Got our order wrong, did not apologize, and did not offer anything to make it up for us. It almost felt like we were not “wanted” guests here. Table was wobbly and we didn’t get it fixed over entire course of the meal. Places in the same street are much more fun with comparable food and better prices. Avoid this place for old people.
MoreFantastic service and food. Highly recommend.
White cloth on the tables but not the same quality on the plate..looks better than the food they manage to cook. entrecote was lackluster anaemic looking and the seafood was served with a tiny slice of lemon..sure could have asked for more but did not want to have to...as the prices are around the double from next door place. also completely lacked any English menus or speaking waiters. dont accept amex fyi. if there is nothing else open..I would go back but even if burger king was open..I would avoid.
MoreElegant street dining in atmospheric alley. Nice clean white table cloths, good and helpful service, excellent wines by the glass and delicious food.
Moreunfortunately a absolute tasteless paella
Good traditional Spanish food. Excellent raw material and simple but great cooking. In the center of Malaga. Down to earth place
MoreGood food & good service. Try the alcachofa frita, with the ensalada rusa.
Nice T-bone (chuleton). I have come back for it several times over the last five years...
MoreAlways go when in Malaga, top place.
Traditional cuisine...
Everything was very good and the service was very kind and helpful. The portions are big and the prices are mediums.
MoreThe food is fresh and high quality, I highly recommend sardines in vinegar and croquettes. The paella was made from scratch and not frozen, like in many touristic places.
MoreHigh-quality food.
Nice place but you had to wait a long time
Great place. Simple and very delicious Spanish dishes. Good service, friendly staff.
MoreFriendly, polite, good food and wine
Restaurant "La Reserva 12" (near famous Calle Larios): Pleasant and quiet setting, and friendly service in the heart of Malaga. Delicious "Boquerones al limón", and tasty "Rabo de toro". Prices are relatively high, but servings are generous. Dont be shy: ask for a "ración" to share by 2 persons.
MoreThe restaurant is nice, the attention of the waiters is very good and they are very friendly. The quality of the food was good but especially the amount of vegetables at each plate was very small the deserts where good but also big plates and small amount of sweetnes on it. The prices are in higher parts compared to the other restaurants in this area. The toilets are very dirty, maybe no one is checking them during the evening. Besides that all in all a good restaurant.
MoreGood selection of local dishes. Very good food & service
Fantastic food and service
Ordered Grilled Sea Brass. It was fresh and delicious
very good mixed fried fish
Very quiet at 9.00pm on Monday night, but it didnt disappoint. Formal restaurant. Brilliantly fresh fish starters, beautifully cooked chateaubriand with chips and vegetables. Lovely home made dessert. Not cheap but brilliant value for money. If you like upmarket, this is highly recommended.
MoreGreat service and fantastic food
Friendly service and the food is amazing. Really worth going here when you are in Málaga .
MoreGreat Tapas
1 STAR FOR FOOD: the quality of food was vary low, vary old style cuisine. I had a pork filet served with cold french fries and raw vegetables everything seasoned with to much oil and butter, the sauce of the pork was bland, full of garlic and the meat was chewy. They served us "COLD" Red wine ( umbelunbelie).1 STAR FOR SERVICE: Nobody was speaking English, no ospitality , no communication at all.1 STAR FOR PRICE: prices too high for the quality of the food and the service offered.Im giving 3 stars just for the location!
MoreIt was okey, almost good the service could be little bit better. The food is okey.
MoreOverpriced, run of the mill tourist trap.
Great service, great food, a little on the pricey side but well worth it.
Super good and great service, a must for all visits to Malaga..👍👍👍👍👍
MoreNice place nice food
Great good. Great place. Great atmosphere.
Recommended among the best restaurants in Málaga.
Excellent food, courteous service, nice atmosphere, and centrally located in Málaga, all at a very reasonable price.
MoreExcellent food and service.
Tasty food with nice size portions. Rabo de torro was tasty and plentiful. Seating inside was not able though.
MoreGood was nice, but it wasnt wow food. Had to wait for a bit before I actually went to get the menu myself. Staff were nice and the place had a relaxed ambience
MoreThe food and wine card are good. But the service is awful!
Mediocre food,to say the least, but good service
