This is by far the best steakhouse we visited in Bolivia. The staff was super friendly and attentive to all of our requests. We had the baby picanha & tira that were AMAZING, to finish off our experience the cocktails were probably the best we had in Bolivia, my favorite was the achachairu sour (which is a typical bolivian fruit).Rest assured, if you’re in Santa Cruz, you have to visit this place

Showing pictures and making ir clear i want between inglesa and al punto did not help. Meat arrived overcooked between medium and well done. Gotta stop eating meat in restaurants that insist there are just 4 cooking points and grill it myself.

El Arriero is always a treat. Its great because of the small things, such as the salad with fresh veggies, the very prompt service, and the freshly-baked bread which is addictive. Its equally great for what you come here for in the first place: quality beef in more cuts that you can even memorize. The wine list is good, even though they may run low on half-bottles form time to time. Hey, there is a supply-chain problem, remember? The restaurant has undergone a slow yet interesting metamorphosis over the years, expanding seating for its patrons which literally mob this place on weekends and most evenings. This place is not to be missed if you are in Santa Cruz. Enjoy.

I was excited to go to El Arriero but the meat here wasn’t good.The service was great but the food was subpar.One of the worse stakes I’ve had in a while.The achachairu juice was the best part of my meal. It was tasty and not too sweetI’m giving 1 star bc the meat here was mediocre.You are probably better off going to Los Hierros or even La Casa del Camba.My maid can make a better stake using the grill at home :/Disappointing.

If you are familiar with some fsmous Santa Cruz’s Steakhouses you may come to this one and expect the same quality and premium cuts.The restaurant and atmosphere is pretty similar to the other restaurants around.While the menu is a bit different, you will still find premium cuts and chops.I am giving them 3 stars, as its really difficult to get them make the steak cooking point propperly, it is a real oddysey to get a real “Rare” or “Blue” steak (talk about being at the city’s best steakhouse)...Other than that, their service is good and the overall experience is enjoyable.

My conclusion is that it was possibly tenderized through a powder or papaya for too long.Wed go back for the food and service, hut will likely choose a more economical place instead.
MoreThe food was all mediocre and underwhelming for the price point (13 to 25 USD per meal before dessert). The beef was ok. The yucca and french fries were not great. Instead of having a designated waiter everyone just helps out with all the tables. This system wasnt great. They got 1 dish wrong out of 2 and severely overcooked the beef on the other. Decent meal but you could certainly do better for a similar price.

Without any question the best meat and they have become the masters at preparing it. In the past Argentine meat was a no brainer, but nowadays Bolivian meat is amazing and delicious, give it a try you will be so happy. They have well prepared side and tradition side dishes like "arroz con queso". Deserts are just great, homemade flan, torta helada and brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. You will love this place, but go early, it is always packed.

MoreBest steaks in town. This is the place where locals go to eat steak, so you know you are at the right venue for steak. Much better than other chains such as La Cabrera and Los hierros. Service is surprisingly fast and quality is consistent. Try to book in advance as usually the place is booked. Recommend the Colita de Cuadril and the chorizo. You get a delicious salad, fries, and rice for free with any steak order. Oh and their sauce for the bread is the best one in town. Seriously

MoreFood is OK. Supposedly they specialize in grilled meat, but last time I was there mi "Bife Chorizo" was dry and too hard. They offer unlimited salad and fries with fried casava. Those are pretty good, however not to die for. Most taxi drivers know the place so its easy to get there. Price is OK for what you ask, you may even consider it cheap (expect to pay about $25 for your meal).

MoreAwesome place with great food. We had empanadas and a lomito de cerdo (pork steakfor appetizers and both were excellent. I ordered the bife de chorizo and it was soft and juicy. The sides are always fries, fried yucca, rice and salad. We were three and we spent about $50.00 dollars.

MoreSuper dissatisfied on our 3rd trip to El Arriero. Borderline inedible ribs with our meat platter - tough and gristly.Told multiple servers and were given very poor treatment. No responsibility or accountability. After 3rd server (who did the same as first 2 - nothingwe asked for the manager. We could see him in the other room. He would not come out.All of this was in Spanish. We were polite at the start but became increasingly frustrated as time went on.Never again. Shockingly poor ability to deal with customers. Such a shame as our first 2 experiences were great.

MoreAmazing filet mignon. Came with a very large salad, French fries, and fried yucca. (I had ordered mashed potatoes, and they gave me a side big enough for 2 or 3 people. It was way too much food for 1 person. The service was amazing and the facility was very clean with a nice, chatty ambiance.
