Restaurant Schmittchen in Koeln

Ich war diese Woche auf Geschäftsreise und habe in diesen Restaurant zwei wundervolle Mittagessen verbracht mit Kollegen in eine Umgebung wie zu Hause wo der Besitzer uns mit ganzen Herzen und liebe die Freude in unserem Magen vorbereitet hat. Es ist eins der besten und ich wurde sogar sagen das beste Restaurant in Köln wo man erholen kann und ganz lecker essen kann und man hat die Lust wieder zu kommen. Ich werde es sicherlich tun und von allen Sternen gebe ich alle. Alles gute zu den Team und wünsche nur das beste in die Zukunft.

Update 1.10.2022Essen wie immer richtig lecker, der Köbes einfach Bombe, Abend gelungen. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!------------------------Nettes Lokal mit netter lustiger Bedienung. Essen lecker, Kölsch kalt- was will man mehr? Komm immer gern wieder! Glasklare Empfehlung!

Die Kartoffelrösti waren für mein Geschmack ein bisschen zu knusprig, ist aber bekanntlich Geschmacksache. 🧐 Dafür schmeckt der Apfelstrudel mit Vanilleeis und Schlagsahne einfach unfassbar gut.😍

Schnitzels are ok. Everything else so-so. Nice apfelstrudel. Nothing fancy.

Filthy place (the toilets looked like those of a disco at 4:00 amand the owners were grumpy.We ordered a beer and a white wine (we gave no further specifications). They must have picked the most expensive ones for us because together they were €12,50.The plan was to eat here as well but the place was just so gross that we left after the drinks.

Great food and extraordinary beer

Bratwurst mit Krautsalat, Bratkartoffeln und Senf gegessen, dazu lecker Kölsch. Wirklich lecker, auch wenn es anders ausgesehen hat als erwartet.

Wir haben Schnitzel „Wiener Art“ und Hausgemachte Heringssalat bestellt. Das Essen war lecker. Nette Servicepersonal.

Richtig gut!Ich bin mit Hunger und Durst in die Stadt gegangen um was grundsolides zum zum Satt werden zu finden und bin durch Zufall in die Lokalität geraten.Und ich muss sagen, sie hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt!Ich habe noch nie so einen leckeren und perfekt gegarten Sauerbraten gegessen.Er zerfiel auf der Gabel.👌Die Soße war ebenfalls ein Traum und der Rotkohl war genauso wie er sein sollte.Absolute Weiterempfehlung!Und das Kölsch schmeckt natürlich auch.

Sono stato in questo ristorante a fine gennaio 2022; lambientazione traspira un clima del carnevale e i cibi in stile Kölsch sono sempre abbondanti e gustosi. Consigliato.

Unbelievably delicious food! The service was as well out of this world!

Wir haben draußen gesessen und gegessen. Pfifferlingsuppe mit Lauchzwiebelringen und Rumpsteak mit Kräuterbutter und Salat. Sehr gut gemacht mit gut gekühlten Getränken. Das Kölsch perfekt.

Nice restaurant for a good German meal.

We had made a reservation. On arrival the owner told us that he had made a reservation knowing that he hadn’t a table free.

I had a very nice meal at this place.Service was fast and curteous.Food was good 👍

Unfortunately very unfriendly personal, bad quality coffee. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Absolutly love this Restaurant, the food nd service is amazing. The service is just wonderful. They also speak English(great tip for english speaking touristi will be visiting again!!

Lovely friendly bar and restaurant staff are attentive and very friendly.Food was very nice, local German dishes to taste. Spent 2 evenings here a great place to relax away from the bustle of the high street Would highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

A small restaurant for elder couples and old friends. Good meals, Germany cuisine you will find here. A lot of local visitors.

We never got to the food. Waiter placed a piece of paper on our table that it is reserved after 20 min. Nice way to chase us away from an empty restaurant. The second star is for this innovative approach.

Relaxing atmosphere, interesting and fun people, food are not outstanding, but good enough for a hungry bird.

Very rude staff! Maybe Arturo is right and they are very racist. We waited for over half an hour and were given menus but never spoken to again, despite trying to politely get the waiters attention to order. He continued to serve people who came in after us and even though he made eye contact with us he never served us until we finally walked out.

¡¡¡Not recommended place!!!When we went to taste the German beer, the waiters were very racist. They do not accept foreigners and they expel you for using their mobile.I am very disappointed that in the 21st century there continues to be such a denigrating treatment for people of other nationalities. They think themselves superior, nothing of respect or humility. I feel realy sad.

Great authentic local German food and staff! Definetely worth coming here if you want to experience German food. The waiter recommended two specialty dishes, and they were very impressive.

Good rustic German Kneipe. Hearty local delicacies are also served.

Very pleasant experience. The host is very friendly and makes everybody feel at home. Food is very good, lots of local classics. Menu in many languages.
