Restaurant Namaste Oerlikon - Indian restaurant in Zürich (Kreis 4), Switzerland
Pricing , ambience and taste is proper.
Good food amd nice service🙏
Nice Indian restaurant, good food, friendly service. Would get five stars, but I thought the prices were a little on the high side. Perhaps that’s just me though, the quality was good.
One of the best Indian restaurants Ive been to in many countries
Received raw chicken from this place when ordering chicken Tandoori. Words are not enough to express how angry I am to pay that much just for chicken that turn out to be a health hazard.
Unfriendly staff. Taste less food.
If you are indian, make sure you need to tell that I want indian style food. Otherwise they wont add indian spices, food was good but when I ordered spices were completely missing. While sharing the review manager told me you need to tell separately about adding indian spices.Suggest while taking order, manager/waiter should asked if customer want indian style or not. If customer is Asian they would definitely go with masala kindof food. Otherwise it will be waste of time and money for customer.
The dishes are well made, and are absolutely delightful. We truly enjoyed the Lamb Briyani. A bit more expensive restaurant, but its for a good reason. I recommend.
Had malai kofta & butter chicken....in malai kofta there has been no malai at all and it tasted ok ok....butter chicken was even worse. Not worth the prices at all.
Food was good but very costly. The main thing which we did not like was that restaurant charged 5 francs for tap water. In Interlaken restaurants didnt charge for tap water.
Very friendly staff delicious food. I LOVE the golden peacock wallpaper
Good lunch takeaway menu. I really like their tandoori chicken, well marinated and smokey. Paneer and spinach are quite good usually, Dal tends to be ok-ish,
We actually took one of our friends for a farewell party and had a bad experience here. Infact there were quite a few things wrong about this restaurant. First the vibe, while entering itself the vibe at the front gate was not welcoming. The lady was without a smile and we felt unwelcoming. The manager or owner also had no smile on his face. The waitress was rude while taking orders as well. My friend asked her about a particular drink and she responded I dont drink it so I dont know. We ordered tomato soup and the chef just sent the extremely thick gravy as soup. The starters were not cooked well and samosa was half cooked. We got so distraught that we did not order the main course and paid for only the starters and left. Finally ate the pizza. Avoid this restaurant no matter how much you have the craving to eat Indian dishes. Try other Indian restaurants.
Food is good and quantity is also satisfying. If you like spicy food then you may request them to make your food spicy.
Great Indian food and awesome service! Also, our hostesses Nancy and Jyoti were very friendly and welcoming! 5 stars!
We loved this place. The dishes were fresh, authentic and well-made. What really made our visit special was the two hostesses “Jyoti” and “Nancy”, who were very welcoming and accommodating per our dietary needs. The experience at this place added “cherry” to our beautiful Swiss trip. We will head back with some great memories from this place💕💕
Food is good. But was missing Indian real taste in some dishes. Will expect more next time
We went few times to this restaurant and it didnt disappoint us anytime. Food taste is something we liked...better than other restaurants in Zurich.. it is also priced decently, definitely not on higher end. Staffs behaviour is decent too...Good part is , in lunch they have buffet with 2 vegitarian and 2 non veggie along with salads, samosa and papad....Overall I would recommend if one wants to eat Indian.
We eat Indian food all over the world, and this was delicious. Beautiful setting and every server was very nice :)
A rare combination of flavourful and freshly prepared Indian food along with friendly & professional service. We came when it was raining and the restaurant was packed, but the host accommodated us without raising an eyebrow. Be patient with their service as the food is worth the wait. Recommend tandoor options and Dal Makhni is a winner.
Nice food, closest to what we can get in India and not the “European Indian” types. Specially liked naans and chicken masala along with veg fritters.
Our go-to Indian restaurant. Our 2 year old daughter loves the garlic Naan and lamb korma, and now also the mango Lassi 🥰
Pathetic service 😐 need to wait for main course for an hour after we finish starters. Response from the Support management is very poor. needs lot of improvement. Bad experience
Delicious food and charming service, lots of vegan options
Quality of good excellent. The best thing in this restaurant is they are showing every dishes in plastic 3D model. Thats looks like the real dish. One bad thing here is there naan is not softy its little harden and puffy.
Service is bad, food is not authentic. Didnt like anything...no one is keen to know if the food is good ..if salt is enough or it is more spicy or less so other dishes can be tweaked.
One of the best Indian restaurants I have visited in continental Europe. Vegetables were amazing and the tandoori chicken incredibly moist ... An experience.
Best place for Indian food in Oerlikon...
The food was okayish, service was really bad we waited almost 50 min for our food to arrive on top of that we were not even informed about the kitchen closing timings by the staff. We felt the behavior of the staff not very welcoming and rude.
Delicious food and very good ambience. I would suggest this place for a family dinner or with friends. They take lot of time to prepare the food, almost one hour even for a masala papad or samosa. Plan accordingly.
Ambience is good. Food is okay. Nothing extra ordinary. Didnt like the behaviour of the staff there.
Food is not authentic Indian style. we have ordered biriyani and chicken curry, taste was not that great. also prices can be reviewed. One more point.. too much of delay to serve food... we finished starter 40 min and waited for main dish.
Kind staff and great food! Spicy samosa, seasoning of the main courses on point, I would definitely recommend this to Indian food lovers
An excellent restaurant with delicious Indian cuisine, which I visited during a few days stay in Zurich thanks to a recommendation from friends! Very large selection of vegetarian dishes - everyone will find something delicious for themselves ^^.
This is our local indian restaurant and we regularly drop in for a curry or takeaway. Uncomplicated setting (generally can get a walk-in table, occasionally can be busy at the weekendsand mostly pretty quick and efficient service. Food is very good and always reliable.
If you are looking for a real taste of Indian kitchen around Zurich then I totally recommend the restaurant Namaste Oerlikon! All the dishes were warm and delicious, the taste of mango lassi was very refreshing. The service was very professional and friendly. Sitting outside is very pleasant and in high demand so it would be good if you reserve a table the day before. 🙏
Delicious food, very friendly service, spacious place and good for both-romantic dinner as well as dining with a bigger group of friends. I keep coming back there and special thanks to Harshil for those refreshing mocktails♥️✨
Great taste. The aroma of food is very good. Couldnt wait for long to had it. Spice level is good just like as we wanted. They have so many items in their menu. We wanna try other recipes too. Best wishes for Namaste Oerlikon team 👍.
Very good Indian cuisine. Large variety of dishes and some special dishes you do not find in other Indian restaurants. One can choose the spice level. If one likes very spicy food, you have the option. In many european Indian restaurants this is not possible. The service is friendly and attentive.I can recommend the restaurant very much.
The place looks fancy and the staff is nice. I was looking forward to getting samosas, however they turned out to be too oily. The lassi was okay. Chai was good. Most curries were too salty and the butter chicken was way too sweet. Overall, it seemed a bit overpriced for what you get.
Indian restaurant and one stop restaurant for Samosa lovers. Even though the dishes are Indians I saw many non Indians tastes the samosa. You can also try other dishes as well. I am pure vegetarian and j have tried almost all the dishes including desserts and ice-cream. I like mostly paneer dishes.Open garden tables are also available. Book your table before going to restaurant which save your time.
The food and serving was amazing! The waiter was extremely friendly and very responsive to everything. We ordered the house dishes and I asked him if it can be done spicier than in the menu and they said they’ll tell the chef. In the end, it was spicier and it was exactly the way I wanted it!The food was brought on some heater with candles to be kept warm, and the taste was super authentic and really flavourful. The mango lassi was also on point. One of my to-go places for Indian food!
Weve always been getting take away or home delivery from them, and the food alone is worth 5 stars. Its just always delicious and they have a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. Happy to live so close to them!
LocationAmbienceTastyQualityThis place is 5/5, amazing taste.
Taste was pretty awesome... Indian food real taste you can find here. Service in the restaurant was good. It took a bit time to serve the food but on taste it can be neglected.... We had mango lassi along with Indian traditional food, the lassi was quite impressive.... Loved the place... Indians should definitely try if searching for Indian taste... Tip if love spicy specific while ordering "spicy"....
+ Great ambience.+ Friendly service.+ Good Hygiene.+ Price is not so expensive as compared to the other restaurants.+ Food quantity is surprisingly good.- Food taste can be improved.- Limited menu for Vegetarians.
Un-believable taste of authentic Indian food. Love going there, reminds me of India. Very polite and humble owner. Friendly staff and good team. Unlimited food in Buffets and very professional. Our meal was outstanding and we couldnt fault any of the dishes that we ordered - from the onion bhajis and lentil soup for starters, the paneer tikka masala and aloo gobi as main courses, and a selection of naan breads to mop it all up. It was delicious in every way, and the spice level was just right and as requested so our toddler was able to enjoy the meal too. Warm and friendly service - this place is fantastic, and well be back again soon!
100% really delicious and spicy .. best biryani and curry .all the best
Very good food and friendly staff. Big portions and authentic and delicious spices I think. Best chutnies Ive ever had. The atmosphere was friendly yet professional. Beautiful tapestry with golden peacocks! We will visit again. Thank you
