Schifflände 5, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland, Zürich (Kreis 12)
Traditional Lebanese cuisine & meze, in contemporary, Middle-Eastern inspired space, plus terrace.
Good food , nice experience, the best mixed barbecue ( mashawi, grape leaves, hummus, cafe blancAnd Special thanx to Mr . Ebraheem .I have just one not that we used to have the cold mezza as starters then the hot dishes but unfortunately the brought us the mixed barbecues then the rest of the Appetizer.
Very disappointing experience this time. The waiter made a rude remark about not giving him a tip and became more and more confrontational. I had to remind him that this is Switzerland, not the US. I used to recommend this place to all of my friends but not anymore.
Very good food, nice location sitting outside. I will come again.
We went for family dinner and had very nice experience, food was delicious, staff was very friendly, will recommend.
After waiting for 45min for the Hummus appetizer, and another 15 for the main dish, we were told to go to McDonalds next time if we are hungry, as they are quite fast 🙃To be fair, the food is good, and I brought a lot of people to this restaurant over the years. But this service behavior is just not acceptable. Also, there seems to be a culture of fear within the staff: only one guy takes order for food, when we asked his colleague to accept our order for both drinks and food, he mentioned that he cannot as if he does one mistake, he is fired. I dont want to encourage this.
I really liked their food: We chose the tasting menu for 2 so that we could try a little bit of everything. The portions are big enough. We also tried the typical Lebanese drink called "Arak": Its strong but it was worth it. We paid 90 CHF in total.
Highly recommend this place for a delicious meal! My family and I will return again and again for the superior fattet batinjen and fattoush salad at Le Cèdre Bellevue. The authenticity and flavour of these dishes rivals my Lebanese grandmother’s. Also easily caters to different eating preferences (meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans). As good as, if not better, than Lebanese food in Beirut.
Great place! Stumbled upon it while walking around in Zurich. There were 5 of us and 2 children, they accommodated us for dinner without reservation. We mainly had hot and cold Mezza dishes, everything tasted delicious and authentic Arabic food. If you don’t live in Zurich you’ll find it quite pricy like we did, appetizers start at about 14 euro, mains 32. Bill was substantial but worth it for the taste and service. Did I mention the falafel was perfect?
Best place to enjoy a summer evening outdoors sitting by the lake and with a view to the city. Hummus and variety of vegetarian offerings, great grilled meat on sticks and the most amazing tropical fruit plates in Zurich. Great experience, take a walk from the other side of the river if you like great water landscapes.
Decent Lebanese food. Nothing special. Great service and nice people. Great coffee and tea pastries.
I was here twice. Once for dinner and another time for lunch. The place is every time is busy. When it rains, you must have reservation, otherwise best local clients will have place instead you.Serving time - it takes.Food is delicious 🤤
I didn’t expect I found Arabic food that tasty and delicious food with great service in Zurich
Food is really really good, but service is not. Id give it another shot but I probably wont have the chance anytime soon.
Fantastic selection of dishes and a great location by the river.
Delicious Lebanese food. The mezzes are amaizing! Definitely the best falafel and baba ganoush in town.
Schmeckt Mega Fein!I had a great experience at Le Cèdre last night. We were a party of 10 and ordered lots of Mezze to share across the table. The food was delicious and such big varieties (e.g Meat, Veggie & Vegan). The staff were attentive and explained each dish so we knew what was Vegan and not.The restaurant was buzzing with activity, it was full but the service was still good!I would for sure return to this restaurant!
Nice terrace, but they habe too many seatings outdoor, to increase their profits, it seems on the account of the customer experience. We waited for 45 min just for the food and another 15 min to order a glass of wine, and when nobody cared to clear the table and get the bill, we walked over to the counter, stood in the waiters way to demand the bill. The food wasn’t exciting at all. It was good 10 years ago, now, with such a low quality, it doesn‘t deserve this location anymore.
Yummy delicious Arab food!!!I ordered the kafte it was delicious only thing it doesnt come with riceThe hummus and kibbeh was Devine!!The menu where it has a set price for a party is a fixed menu ypu cannot pick what you want to order.
Been coming for years and consistently delicious. So flavorful, and meat is cooked to perfection! Highly recommend the Batinjen, Tajin and Arayess Lahme as mezze, and machewi for grilled meat, as well as the fish Samki Harra Traboulsié!
Bad service. The manager is so impolite. They don’t care. Go to the other Le Cedre in Zurich where they are much nicer!
Was blown away by the variety and quality of the food.Myself being from Zürich, i have never ever thought about visiting it prior to being invited there ny friends. By now, its definitely on my "will visit frequently" list.As a group, you might want to order the mixed offerings (different sizes availablewhich will give you a very good idea of what you might like or not.Making a reservation is recommended, especially on sunny days and around evening time.
Always a great Lebanese dining experience.
Mediterranean Arabic taste was good. Staff were kind and polite.
The food was good. They have a nice lunch menu, but the dinner menu is absurdly expensive. I would suggest only eating there for lunch.
One of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve ever had the chance to try, if not the best! You cannot miss this place, it’s to die for! Our waiter was awesome!
Terrible service. They forgot about my order, I had to wait 30 Min in addition to get it, they neither apologize nor compensated with anything (not even a drink, and it was extremely hot). Food, prices and portions are good
Consistently great food but service is disappointing. Went on Sunday at 1pm. The place was practically empty. Only 3-4 tables had guests. It was 2 of us and we asked for a table in the shade as it was 34 degrees Celsius. The wait person offered us 3 times in a row tables that were either in the sun or about to get in the sun. All others were "reserved". We have been patrons of this restaurant for many years and we have seen this happen on busy days but when the place is empty and highly unlikely to get busier to be told that all is reserved felt like they really did not want us there. Felt insulting and I dont think we will be going there soon.
Amazing Lebanese food, great selections. Suggest doing to set number of plates option and share everything family style. Nice selection of wines as well.
Flew from Newark and came to this restaurant...there was so many open tables and not 1 staff approached us to accommodate us. We finally asked a staff and got ignored. Never coming again...
One the best and highest quality of food and excellent service. Very authentic Lebanese food and very cozy atmosphere.
The food eas good. It was a little expensive however restaurants in general are expensive in comparison to other countries most probably due to the high socioeconomic there. Well in general the food was good. We sat outside within the th fresh air. We hoped a better view on the river but we were on the other side of the road.
Have been going to this place for some time now. The service overall has always been fairly rude, particularly the manager, but it was compensated by a tasty food. However, last times we’ve been there (yesterday), the food quality has substantially decreased. We are not coming back for sure.
We visited this restaurant last night and chose the offer of seven different dishes for 77. These are chosen by the kitchen. Two of the dishes are houmous! and one was a green salad. The other four dishes were not meat dishes so realistically not great value,. Also we were charged for water Fr.6. After aperil spiritz was €13 in a tiny glass no fruit etc Certainly wouldn’t be rushing back to this place
Went there for a business dinner. We shared some mezze as a starter then ordered individual mains. The food was great, the service was very nice and smooth, no rush to serve or deserve. I recommend to book a table in the basement as it is decorated in the Lebanese style. I would definitely go there again.
Nice place for a company Christmas dinner. Great food and service. Perfect location close to Bellevue.
The best Lebanon’s restaurants in Switzerland
We come often and its always good. Great place, great location, good prices (for lunch at least), good service and delicious food. I recommend ordering sth from menu other than the mezze for 2/4
Fantastic food, fantastic location. Generous portions, tasty libaneese dishes.Very enjoyable experience overall.Recommended!
I often come here for the lunch menu, it’s got just the right number of veggie options. The mezze plate is probably the best value for money in Zurich city - good selection and a feast for the eyes and belly. Service can be a bit overwhelmed over peak times so better not be in a big hurry ;)
Food was very tasty and the portions were more than enough, we asked for the vegetarian menu for 2 persons.Although in general are nice, we had to wait a lot for them to ask for our meals and bring it to us.Not recommended is you are short of time.
One of the best restaurants in Zürich, the food, the service, the location next to the lake.I highly recommend it.
Lovely food as always but the bread became rather hard quickly as I believe it was warmed up in the mircowave. Lamb was also a bit on the harder side but overall good dish for. Came for their afternoon lunch deal.
Food was good, but the service was just horrible. We waited way too long for everything we had ordered and not only one time they forgot about our order. Wont go there again.
I was told by a Lebanese person that this is the best Lebanese restaurant in Zurich. Went there yesterday and wasnt disappointed. High quality food which was like home made. Outside there is a big seating area with many tables so service can be slow at times. Otherwise come here for the food and the long evening. Its especially crowded outside on summer evenings but didnt try to reserve and got a table nonetheless.
I visit this restaurant almost every time Im in Zurich. Top Lebanese cuisine. Short waiting time. The only disappointment is that some delicious dishes from the lunch menu are not available in the evening.
best lebanese cuisine I tasted in Zurich. huge choice. if you dont know the dishes - go for a menu. you cant do anything wrong there and you get a taste of all the good stuff.:)very busy usually, so sometimes it takes a while - but if you have the time, you have a great dinner! and book your table beforehand - its hard to get a table by walking in - but I heard of lucky ones. :-)
Super tasty Lebanese food & mezza. Great atmosphere & friendly staff. Definitely recommended
Simply delicious . Awesome food and very nice atmosphere. Gladly coming back.
The location near the river Limmat at the little piazza Hechtplatz with all its alfresco restaurants promise to be a wonderful dining experience. – Couldn’t be more disappointing! The food is good and served quickly, but if you take a closer look you get the impression that not all of it is home-made. The portions are okay, except for the sweets. How can you serve 12 tiny Libanese baklava for 8 people? The prices are at the upper limit of what you pay for this type of food in Zurich. In the end, it’s really the service that spoils it. I wouldn’t say unfriendly, but you wouldn’t expect to be told to order your coffee later, when the dessert has already been served.
Very Good food, careful service (waiters speak Englishand honest price. We went there in a very sunny and hot day, we got a place outside under the umbrellas and it was very nice! Comfortable seats, table moving a bit and very fast ordering/getting food. Coffee was also good. The position of the restaurant is good: there are a lot of small street just in the back with shops and things to see. We were there on a Saturday and we also found a small market of ethnic stuff just 5 minutes away.
