Restaurant Le Bistro in Salcedo

Stephen is fantastic. We were in caberete for two weeks and ate here 3 times. Great service and great food. Really good food. And very reasonable prices. 5 stars from me and my wife.

Le Bistro is such an amazing place we came here twice for our 5 days trip! It’s not fancy pretentious food, it’s like the best comfort home cooked French food you can get. I’m from NYC and I don’t particularly prefer French cuisine in the city, but I really LOVED the food at Le Bistro! We will definitely be coming back when we come back to DR for kite surfing again.

It was our first time in town and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious meals at every restaurant we’ve dined. Restaurant Le Bistro was our favorite. (We ate there twiceand will definitely return again to try more delicious impressionable, unforgettable dishes. Service was top notch and the coconut fish is amazing.

Seared duck breast w cream pepper sauce 😋 absolutely 💯. Onion tart and duck roulettes are also highly recommended 👌. Sitting ambiance and service is one of my favorites in Cabarete. Fyi, the Vanilla flan dessert should not be missed so make some extra space for it.

Best onion soup in Cabarete, period.This restaurant is a true gem. Stefan is one of the best hosts Ive met. Hes kind, well-versed, and turns your visit into a true fine dining experience. If you eat meat, I recommend the duck, its tender and delicious. If youre a vegetarian, the salads are amazing. Le bistro definitely has an option for everyone.Make sure you call beforehand and make a reservation, especially on the high season, and dont forget theyre closed on Sundays!

The highest quality food Ive had in Cabarete, made with passion and skill. Cozy atmosphere and not too crowded, but recommended to make a reservation because all of the tables are usually reserved.

Food was below average for Cabarete and clearly miles away from the typical French cuisine that we expected. The owner is very friendly but that does not help the taste. The place is complelety overprized.

Was out for brunch and decided to wait a few minutes for them to open, completely worth it. Everything I had was top notch; juice, soup, and sandwich. The flavors and spices were perfectly done. Will definitely visit again. The owner is also very friendly and takes amazing care of everyone.

The food is really excellent and Stephan the owner is a great host. He gave us good advice on not ordering too much, which was really appreciated. The tarte à loignon was awesome.

Salad was ok.Meat was quite fine.Fish was terrible.

The best food in Cabarete. You can go to Nectar or one of the other decent places on the beach, or you can go here, pay less, and end up much happier.

Best meal I have had in Cabarate, hands down! I’ve been here for 1 month, so I’ve tried most places.The beef fillet with potatoes was simply incredible! Highly recommend. Great prices too!

Super delicious food. I had veals and their special baked potato. The meat was delicate, asty and I really enjoyed my meal after a long time. The staff are polite and Speak perfect English. Do not hesitate to ask for explaination and recommendations. There is also a bit of sea view if you sit outside. Nice place to chill out in the evening.

The service we received was amazing, they made us feel welcomed and gave us a nice experience even despite the fact they couldnt serve wine as it was easter time :). We tried beef tatar and goat cheese which I highly recommend. For the main dish we ordered the veal with creamy and tasty sauce but it was a bit chewy. The chocolate fondant was rather chocolate cupcake but it was pretty good :Considering the quality the price is reasonable.

We really enjoyed our evening at Le Bistro. Beef tartare was super-smooth, weve also had the fried goat cheese and duck rillettes. Veal comes with amazing wine sauce!

This place is the best I came across in DR and actually also I have come across in the USA too. Been living in the USA for 5 years (Seattle areaand nothing compares to this.And that for that price! Crazy good!If you come to Cabarete you cannot skip this place! Period!

A group of us went recently on a busy Saturday night. The co owner and the chefs were working furiously and efficiently to provide us another great meal. We try to eat here once or twice every time were in Cabarete. I had the braised chicken I think it was ? Anyways so good . Onion soup was very tasty as well. The caramel dessert flan was soo good we ordered two. All were very satisfied and happy with the food and service. My favourite place in Cabarete , and there is actually a lot of good food there. Next year well be back. Merci.

Lovely place, outstanding service, excellent food

Overhyped restaurant. Food tasted bland, we have confited duck and not even sure it was a duck, judging by the size, it was super small and very dry. The price on the other side quite high. Tried more dishes, but anything worth a mention. It was supposed to be our anniversary dinner, but we just end up eating a pizza in a different place 🙄

Fantastic restuarant! Location and ambience perfect. The owners are very attentive, great service and passionate about their food, they take pride in what they are serving and they should ! The food is exquisite! I eat out a lot and with this I was very impressed, i will be back for sure :-)

The best restaurant in town if you want something great quality at a respectable price and the service was awesome! They are 2 French person, lovely, we had the service with Amel and she was perfect! highly recommend!!!
