Polite staff, beautiful and cosy place but the food wasn’t good!

Great bread and garlic oil, the rest? Tasteless, poured salt and pepper but was really disappointed. Okay service

Tune was good. Fried calamari would be delicious but unfortunately was too dry and crispy. Friendly stuff. Quite expensive place.

We had a wonderful dinner at Laniis restaurant. Amazing meals (pastas with truffles and grilled calamari). Waiters very kind ! Go enjoy their food !

Avoid this tourist trap. Hummus is bland, odd texture, served with ritz crackers and and olives (billed as vegetables). Lentil salad is greek salad with some lentils. Service was bad and the tables next to us also complained about bad food. Would run away!

Tasteless, hard balls of mozzarella and tasteless tomatoes: takes some doing to make a bad tomato and mozzarella salad. The mezze plate was also bland hummus and sad little biscuits out of a packet. The sparking water was Ok.

We didn’t enjoy our lunch in here. Hummus was super cold and tasteless, not creamy. Falafel super compact. Tuna didn’t feel fresh service of 15 kn charged per person.

This place is expensive and the portions are small. The food was not extraordinary but good. The prize looks okay on the board outside the restaurant, but you will find a 10% service charge on the bill at the end. There are much better places to eat out in Dubrovnik.

The portions were rather small considering the price for the dishes.We order some noodles with curry and the pasta was overcooked. The teriyaki chicken came with rice that was undercooked 😞They charge you cover (some bread and oilbut they also add you to the bill the service charge of 10% which was not suggested as optional, it was directly charged to our card

We ordered two mains. One was overlooked and the other one was undercooked. Service charge of 10 pc was added to the bill without asking. Avoid this place. It is expensive and bad. A tourist trap.

only reason it’s one star and not 0 is because the service was great. The guy gave us champagne on the house in a different seating area as we wait for a table (prob an already opened bottle they can’t throw away, but i can’t complain). Food was disgusting. i wouldn’t use edible as a word to describe how sh!t the food was. very expensive for the quality. dessert is definitely frozen, and the seafood platter and calamari were not fresh. Servers very friendly and attentive, but it’s hard to tip well if you almost threw up in their 2 square inch bathroom. definitely would not recommend, and praying i dont have food poisoning after this

Truffle cream pasta was great

Bread was good with olive oil. Nose dive from there. Smallest portions I have ever seen, actually laughable. Youd think you were taking part in a 9 course meal. So expensive for what it is. Taste was bland and burnt

orget the negative reviews this place surpassed expectations. We got the lobster pasta which was flavorful and fresh! For our second main we got the teriyaki chicken which again was flavorful and exactly what we wanted!Lots of reviews suggested white wine so we ordered a bottle of Malvazua istarska. BLOWN AWAY! Our waiter suggested the bottle not to dry and a light fruit body. Great medium!Also, we had the best waiter IVO!!!!!!! He was very personable and checked on us which we appreciated being from the states. Lots of times European servers are very dry and never check to see if we need anything. Our waiter went above and beyond for us! He gave us suggestions and had a lovely personality!

Started nice with bread etc... But then came the main... Tiny portions, salad which would not deserve to be side and comes incomplete. Mezze which is below average. Dont come hungry. Tomato pasta were fine and basic.

So bad. Small expensive oily greasy food. 70 kn for a quater of a tomato. I feel scammed:((( but good beer. Nice service but very bad food

Very disappointed by the meatballs, the fish platter came without vegetables, they gave us a 10% discount. Wouldn’t come again.

Welcome to Dubrovnik. Seafood here is fresh. However, the seasoning of risotto was not fine as we normally taste. Apart from that I would like to say this is a traditional tourist restaurant, and I would suggest you have lower expectations for dinning in the old town.

The night after eating here I felt sick. Most likely food poisoning. The food did in fact not look very fresh. I’d really recommand eating somewhere else.

We went having a breakfast for 2. After comparing with other offers we found it for 80kn/person which is actually a great price. We had a coffee, orange juice, a corn flakes bawl, 2 slices of toasted bread, fruits, chocolate, 2 eggs and a croissant (for each). Good ratio quantity/quality/price

Amazing food and amazing service! I would really recommend the gyoza for starter, the tuna steak and the black risotto for main, it was delicious.

Don’t be tempted to eat here….yes, the outdoor vibe is great, and the waiters are outgoing. But the food is NOT GOOD. ALSO, we got bait/switched on the most expensive glass of wine they said they poured from Grgrich Hill in Napa. It was NOT what they charged us for.Food was sooooooo salty (guessing the chefs are heavy smokers). And by the end of the meal they were giving us the no-so subliminal messaging that “15% tip is common”. Uh thanks, yes I know that.Seriously, there are so many incredible meals to be eaten in Old Town. Steer very clear of this place.

So far, best meal Ive had in Dubrovnik. Had spicy seafood pasta, seabass and veg, and fried calamari.The seabass was amazing. I dont even like fish, skin was crispy, it was moist and flakey. Veg were flavorful and added a nice complexity to the dish.The calamari was cooked perfect. Fries were nice and crisp as well. The calamari could have used a little more spice in the batter but it was still great.Spicy seafood pasta was a good flavour, plenty of different seafood in the dish. Was not spicy though.Price was fair, service was good.

So the staff was really friendly!! The food was incredibly good, especially the Steak! Prices are quite high, but not over the top, Dubrovnik is expensive, we all know that. We tried a lot of restaurants here and think this one is definitely one of the best!

Edible food but not good. Food was clearly heated from frozen and very overpriced for that matter. The way they lure you in is by keeping fake “reserved” signs on tables and will move them around to make it seem like they are catering to you. Although the staff is friendly and it’s down a beautiful street, I wouldn’t recommend

Friendly environment and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it.

The maitre d and staff were very nice and we truly enjoyed our conversation with them. However the food was not very palatable. My husband ordered sausages which were served with wedge potatoes. The sausages reminded us of brown and serve and the potatoes seemed to be out of bag and heated in an oven. My chicken teriyaki was like walking into Panda Express. My daughters seafood pasta was rubbery and extremely chewy. When we asked about the fried cheese they told us was brie which it was but was served like US mozzarella sticks that cone out of a bag. We didn’t want to say anything to the staff because they truly were very kind but the food that is pictured on their web page is not what we were served. If I could attach pictures I would.

We have spent a week in Dubrovnik and we always kept coming back to this place. The prices are reasonable, the food really excellent (and my girlfriend and I are picky with food). The wine was also good. Excellent seafood and service. They even ordered oysters for us on demand. For us it’s the best restaurant in Dubrovnik.

Perfect Food and very kind waiters. I can totally recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

It was one of our favorite restaurants in Dubrovnik. Delicious food, great service.

Great place to have some tasty and fresh food. The local draft beer was the best of the whole trip (but it was the first day and I was thirsty :)). The Posip white wine is the perfect fit for a hot summer night (a little bit more expensive, but it worth it). The service was excellent and spoke several different languages. We do recommend to eat and drink here.

Amazing service, Ali was really friendly and kind. We were a group of seven people and the food was served just in 20 minutes.

Fish of the day and the desserts were fantastic! Along with the great service, easily a 5 star for me!

Super delightful dinner, if you are at Dubrovnik for limited days this is one of the restaurants you must try! We had the cream of carrot and ginger soup, black lobster pasta, rosemary sea bass fillet & Lanii almond cream cake. They are superb! Lobster & sea bass were very fresh, meat is tender and firm. Do try their white wine as well, we loved it! Prices are high, but just about the standard as other restaurant prices in Old town.

If you only have one meal in Dubrovnik come to Lanii. The octopus salad and the lobster black pasta are absolutely incredible. Well prepared, fresh and delicious. The waiters are very friendly and know what they are doing. The food was served fast even with a full restaurant. Can’t recommend enough.

Delicious food, excellent service & amazing atmosphere

We were looking for a restaurant serve good seafood plates and found this restaurant has a fairly good reviews so we decided to give it a try.We have ordered two main dishes with salmon and tuna, warm appetizers of homemade pasta with truffle sauce, carrot and ginger soup. They did not disappoint us, with the price we paid I think the food are good.

You need to try this place. the beef was cooked to perfection and spring rolls were so yummy with the sweet chilli sauce...

Excellent Croatian cuisine. Great restaurant with beautiful atmosphere within the old city. Tuna steak is a must-have.

We enjoy a really nice dinner at Lanii. We shared all the dishes and we ordered 2 cold starters and 2 main dishes from the sea.The presentation of the plates were stunning. The cold sea starter to share had 2 of the elements really good like the sashimi tuna and the smoke salmon, the oder two were tasteless and not interesting at all. The main dishes shared the same kind of veggies as side dish and the rice was slightly undercooked.The waiter was polite and friendly and did a great job with his suggestion of vine, divine.

This place was highly recommended by the staff at the apartment where we stayed.The guy said they served the best seafood dishes in Dubrovnik. Retaurant Lanii did not disappoint. We had 3 of our meals there. We loved the freshness of their seafood and the food preparation was exquisite. The staff were friendly, but so is the rest of Dubrovnik. 😉 A must visit.

Best grilled squid I had during this vacation. Friendly staff nice ambience with art on the walls. Staff eager to make it work for kids as well. A bit on the pricy side, but worth the money.

An amazing dinner in the heart of the old city of Dubrovnik. The staff are more than friendly and super alert. Empty dishes and glassware are removed or otherwise replaced in a split second.LANII offers a good selection of typical Adriaric dishes with highlights on seafood and beef. They are known for the oysters and mussles. The mediterranian seafood stew is a most try.Also, a variety of desserts and Croatian Reds and Whites are to be expected.The food is appropriately portioned and very well prepared.

Delicious food - we had fish dishes. Service is very relaxed though so dont go there if youre in a hurry! Reasonably priced too. (I dont usually take photos of my food but this looked so good.)

First class . Food was amazing and the service was first class. I had the seafood platter ,my wife had the salmon and fettuccin. Just Brilliant.
