Ramsay's flagship serving polished French dishes from carefully chosen ingredients.
Freya and Jatin made this such a memorable visit. Amazing food and service, would love to visit again. From the ates to the atmosphere,no detail is overlookedThe chefs choice 7 course meal was surprising and delicious.Highly recommend
I visited 5 years ago and sat in the main restaurant, the whole experience was excellent. On my recent visit we sat at the inspiration table and the level of food was extraordinary.Every dish was thoroughly delicious. There were no duds, only the "chips and dips" were slightly difficult to eat, otherwise it was perfect. The inspiration table was in an odd location, in the bar area, but once the food came it was forgotten and the attention from the chefs really added to the experience and enjoyment of the meal.
We had a great experience here. Super helpful and friendly staff. They were nice enough to move us to another table when we mentioned the AC above our table.Food was amazing. We did wait in between course 3 and 4, not sure why, but it was totally worth the wait.We recommend this place!
they made a huge mistake serving me a dish with ingredients what I,m alergic by mistake, even they were informed in advance. unforgatable
Small, attractive ambiance marred only by annoying muzak. Small menu which is not a bad thing, food excellent, steak memorable. Wine by the glass comes in ridiculously small glasses, even worse than the usual bad deal you get in restaurants. Worth the highish price? Maybe. Id go there again if it wasnt for that awful muzak -- you might as well be in a cheap supermarket.
Unfortunately the restaurant is really average for Michelin, especially it’s not worth 3 stars!!!First of all we were given a table with extremely cold AC blowing at us. The staff moved us to a better table in the end. People around were dressed in jeans and trainers (no dress code). But the worst disappointment was the food! The famous ravioli with lobster was just horrific for Italian dish (overcooked pasta, overstuffed with lobster and salmon which made it tasteless and dry)So the restaurant is just a brand name and nothing to do with fine dining. Only staff is really nice and helpful. But when I mentioned one of the dishes was really not good no one actually cared.I would never even think to go back and tell to avoid this place. Mr Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant is the disappointment of the year.
Had menu a la carte. Good starters as scalops and sweetbreads but for second the beef wasn t good enough for a 3 stars michelin restaurant. Disapointed. I have mentioned about the quality of the beef but we didn t receive any discount.Had better dishes in one star michelin restaurants, so I think overated.
Memorable meal with food that was of superb quality. Expensive but to be expected. Meat was cooked to perfection. Memorable dishes would have to be their confit turbot, freshly baked bread, tarte tartin.
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. It was astounding. The service was out of this world. The food was mind blowing. Just amazing. Worth every penny.
The service and atmosphere definitely reflect the Michelin stars, but the food, while excellent, wasnt any better than Ive had at a 1 Michelin star restaurant (or even unassuming non-starred fine dining establishments). I should re-iterate - the food was excellent, but I was a bit let down that it didnt wow me. To be fair, this is the first place Ive visited with three Michelin stars (Ive visited 1 star establishments), so I was perhaps expecting the unachievable.
Food was great but not the best Ive eaten at a Michelin restaurant. Staff was amazing, everyone was friendly, lovely and super attentive. The staff really brings the experience together and I believe they deserve all the praise. Place was cozy and too to overpy decorated. It was not very expensive for a three star restaurant, some two star restaurants charge around the same.
The food was amazing .The staff were fantastic , informative and happy. it was a day to remember . Thank you all
If I judge this restaurant as an standard high end restaurant, I probably could give 4 stars for the taste, planting and the service. Or maybe if I were gone for the cheapest option of the menu without wines. However, this is a Michelin restaurant which implicate a "waooo" "awesome" factor. Unfortunately, on my recent visit that factor was NO there as I was expecting something more especial for the price (paid high £££), more close to the former El Bulli (Spainor Central (Perú).I was aware that the bill was going to be costly but not as much as at the end I paid especially without the satisfaction of tasting and experiencing something extremely especial.Be aware that the prices on menus does not include Vat and service of 15% (an American way to present the bill)I applause the service team though whom were able to provide a pleasant attitude and attention.
feast of taste! 3 hours flied in a second!
Absolutely amazing 5 stars. Gordon Ramsay really took "cooking like a chef Im a five star michellin" to the next level. This food tasted so great I loved my time there I honestly got tired of chewing but still tasted so good:)
Everything as expected with a 3 star. We had 7 courses with accompanying wine package. The food and wine were of course excellent. In any case, I would like to give extra praise to the staff, who were super nice and made us feel really welcome.
If you want to celebrate something and feel special for a night, this is the place for you. Excellent service from everyone. Everything was impeccable. One of the servers even spoke our language! Quite impressed.
Had the menu prestige. All the food was top quality. Friendly staff.
I do not write reviews very often but I wanted to say it: amazing food and flawless service! Kudos to all the team inside and outside the kitchen!very enjoyable fine dining restaurant experience, keep going :-)
Unpleasant experience.Went for an early dinner yesterday. Food was great, service was great, staff were lovely, dont get me wrong.But....1. The air con cannot cope with the heatwave, so inside the dining room was really warm. The ventilation was not helping so there was nearly no fresh air. I was sweating during the whole dinner. Kudos to all the waiting staff who were all fully dressed.2. Dress code is useless. Many customer turned up with casual T shirt, jeans, trainers and even shorts. Very disappointing.3. There were flies inside the dining room, a few landed on our table. I had to kill one with the napkin.
Fantastic experience.. great service... Phenomenal food... Definately a 3* experience
An incredible experience and hugely enjoyable evening. Lucky enough to eat at the Inspiration table as it was a birthday milestone for me. On arrival the location of the table seemed odd as its virtually in the reception area which was busy receiving arriving guests. Once everyone was seated in the restaurant though it really wasnt an issue.Service was welcoming, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We went with the 5 glass wine accompaniment with the courses. For £150 - £175 per person you have access to some incredible wines. Every selection the sommelier made was a hit and perfectly complimented the courses we had.As for the courses themselves, some of them were exceptional and will long live in the memory as some of the best Ive had. The highlights for me being the Tempura Oyster, Coronation John Jory, Lobster tail and 100 day aged Cumbrian Blue Grey steak. I eat far less meat these days but this really didnt disappoint. Each course was served and explained by Chef Patron Matt Abe in precise detail with huge passion. At the end of the meal he spent some good time chatting to us about the entire meal in more detail, how he works and his experiences. I always appreciate someone working at the top of their game living and breathing it. Matt certainly is doing that. Our sincere thanks to Matt and his team for a wonderful evening.
Not worth 300+ pp ! The dessert in the set menu tasted really bad and not up to a 3 michelin star standard. Save your money or go somewhere else
Beautiful resturant. Service is top notch. The food is extravagant and on point.
The service was on point and the atmosphere was nice until it got loud with a table full of businessmen, but they were having a good time 😕.The wife had the prestige and I had the carte blanche. The food was made with fresh ingredients, tastefully plated, and most dishes were good, but not very creative. The desserts really fell off. The goat cheese with honey was very basic, mango mousse was also rather boring, and the last one is a Savarin and it was bad. It had an eggy smell and taste, the cherries they put on top was not really able to cover smell. The wait staff tried to inform me that it was Savarin, not a donut 😂, but I much rather have a donut than a Savarin I guess. Not my cup of tea.All 3 desserts courses were a miss for me, the Savarin might just me not liking how it is properly made.Overall, it was a good experience but wish they had done something much better on the dessert. I rather take the sticky toffee pudding than all three desserts combined.
The food was awesome. The service itself started off great, but as the dining room filled up the service fell off even though there was plenty of wait staff. The person who charged us at the end also seemed upset and had to be told by another staff member to “Smile”.The rocky service was the only thing that stopped this from being a 5 star experience. Thank you.
Extremely underwhelming and expensive. This was my first Michelin experience and I cannot believe this has 3. I feel like youre paying 90% for the name on the door. Will never go back and will never recommend.
Obviously an exceptional meal but a couple of mishaps from the servers which you would not expect at a 3 star, e.g., having to ask 2 times for water after the service forgot to bring it to the table initially. When we went, I had pigeon for one of the courses which was a bit heavy on the crumbing but everything else was fantastic
I had lunch here yesterday and decided to try the carte blanche menu, and I was not disappointed. The 7-course meal created by chef patron Matt Abé was incredible. The cheese course was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted, but I won’t go into detail because this menu is supposed to be a surprise. The staff were amazing and the service was second to none. They seemed to be executing a well choreographed performance rather than simply doing a job. My time here was truly an experience I will never forget.
The most wonderful experience. I didn’t know what to expect and wasn’t sure how food could be so delicious but the food and drinks were the best I’ve ever had. The staff were incredible and attentive, we didn’t even have to think about something before it was already happening. Throughly recommend, would love to do it all over again.
I came here for my birthday and it was by far the greatest meal i have ever had. All the staff were fantastic and made you feel welcome and part of the whole experience. Food was on another level. Overall, it was incredible and can’t talk highly enough of the whole evening, thank you!
The best ever experience tasty food wonderful staff lovely place very classy for this cumbria bird. Wow wow wow and thank you for the pouffe for my bag brought a smile to my face. Hope to see you all again when I save up thank you
Amazing, I genuinely cannot fault anything about it- food amazing, staff amazing- ultimate fine dining but such a relaxed atmosphere!
Amazing meal!Gordon knows why missing a 💫
The experience and the food were very amazingly memorable. In particular, the lobster ravioli was amazing. Overall, the quality of the whole dish was truly breathtakingly delicious. The staff was really good and attentive. The sommelier was very helpful in giving advice to what wine to choose for the set menu we had
An incredibly special experience. Amazing food, matched by the service. Cant recommend anything more.
The food was out of this world! Everything I had was spectacular, from the flavors, the way it was presented, to the dishware. It was like edible art, the service was outstanding and I had a great experience.
Sadly, taste was too strong for me to find the virtue of finest ingredients. While I say most recommendable restaurant for ANYBODY.Service was perfect, price was reasonable.Taste was very understandable, also designed to feel familiar with, as ANYBODY can enjoy.Efforts of Chef and all staffs to make taste undastandable were so respectable. But Id like to have some special experience at 3 star restaurants. For example, historical, local, unique, something very new, rare ingredients... etcI would say many other 3 star restaurants in France gave memore attractive experiences based on culture and tradition, without deleting delicate flavor of finest ingredients.
Fantastic service and food.. thx a lot it was a real pleasure :-)
Had dinner here on our last night on holiday in London. It has always been a dream of mine to cone here and it did not disappoint. Im a HUGE GR fan. The food was perfection, the service un matched. Every plate was a work of art. Thank you to all the staff that made the end of our holiday a dream come true. Gr you inspire me to run my business with as much passion and perfection as you have. Thank you.
Without a doubt the quality of production is great. As expected from a 3 Michelin starred restaurantEvery dish was intricate and beautiful. With flavour to match the complexity of plating. The only very very slight issue was that I felt 1 or 2 dishes felt unoriginal and comparatively plain in personality.
Always a MUST whenever we get to London. Whether lunch or dinner, the food and service are always stellar. World class.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsey needs a reboot. The food was good, not great, with only a couple of the dishes from the carte blanche menu standing out as particularly delightful. It felt like they were using caviar as a cop out to provide an exquisite experience, but in most cases it was form over substance. I would have provided an additional star, but when we were greeted by the host, it was cold and unwelcoming. While that treatment did not continue throughout the night, a first impression really sets the tone for the evening. The service once we were seated was fantastic. I found it interesting that they chose not to have any cocktails on their aperitif menu, giving my fiance a funny look when he asked for a Negroni. Also bizzare was the clientele, there were children on ipads and people in trainers and tshirts on their phones ignoring each other. We were definitely disappointed with our experience, but I have heard from others that its lovely. I think with some additional attention to the menu, this place could be worthy of its accolades.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsey is one of those restaurant that you eat not to get full but for a good experience. The food is expensive and small but the service was exceptional. They gave us the self serve waters, but filled our waters for us. We almost never ran out of water and the French waiter named Jean-Claude who has been working for 29 years remembered everyone’s name in the restaurant. My brother and I were celebrating a birthday and we get hand signed birthday card from different crew members and a tour of the kitchen. I’ve attached photos and I felt like a king there. All of the staff was incredibly helpful and gave their insight and felt like a friend instead of a waiter. The kitchen was spotlessly clean and I have nothing bad to say. If you can afford the food, this experience is a one in a kind. Easily the best restaurant I’ve eaten at.
Environment 5/5Food 5/5Service 5/5Cleanliness 5/5I decided to visit this restaurant after viewing Gordon Ramsays YouTube video “Gordon Ramsay looks back at 22 years of his Flagship Restaurant.” I am studying abroad in London and seized the opportunity to accompany my brother to the restaurant. Prior to visiting this restaurant, I learned that this was Gordons first establishment and that it has maintained three Michelin stars for the last two decades.I entered the restaurant, but there was no one outside to assist us in entering. However, I sensed the hospitality as soon as the waitress requested that we hang our jackets in the cloakroom. We sat and a man with a French accent began presenting us with the menu. I noticed two cards with our names on them. It was a handwritten happy birthday card prepared by the restaurant staff for us. He was extremely pleasant and helpful. Dinner is served from one of three menus. Carte Blanche is where the chef expresses his creativity and surprises us with a seven-course meal priced at £220, Menu prestige is another seven-course meal priced at £170, and A la carte is another seven-course meal priced at £140. I ordered the Carte Blanche, while my brother ordered the prestige menu. The wine menu was brought to us via pdf on an iPad by one of the employees. This restaurant provided the best service Ive ever encountered. The staff was pleasant, attentive, and cheerful. My water was always refilled for me before I could finish it. Its a fantastic environment because you can observe the various ways in which the employees interacted with me. Certain individuals were more extroverted than others. Each time we were served, they described what we were eating in detail. When it was time to use the restroom, the employees escorted me there. When it was time to sit, they would move the table for me and then reposition it once I was seated.Every time the Frenchman spoke to us, he referred to us by our names. I inquired as to whether he does this with every customer, to which he responded affirmatively. I was so taken aback that I inquired as to his name. That would be Jean Claude. Jean Claude came by at the conclusion of our meal and wished us both a happy birthday and sang for us. He advised us to take a tour of the kitchen prior to departing. My brother went to the restroom, and I decided to re-watch the Gordon Ramsay video, which I noticed featured Jean Claude. I conducted additional research on him on the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay website and discovered that he met Gordon in France and co-founded a restaurant with him in 1993. Its been 29 years, and Im still amazed that he maintains such a positive attitude toward each customer he serves. Imagine waking up and going to work every day for 29 years, remembering everyones name and making a positive difference in the lives of others. He has become a new source of inspiration for me.We toured the kitchen and met the head chef Kim after my brother emerged from the restroom. She was extremely friendly, and we were able to photograph her. I was astounded by how clean the kitchen was and by the fact that it was staffed by sixteen people. We exchanged photographs with Jean Claude and said our farewells. We spent approximately $767 on this meal, but what we received was far more valuable. I got to visit Gordon Ramsays first restaurant, meet my new inspiration, and observe how a high-end restaurant operates. When I left, it was as if I had experienced the environments positivity and witnessed Gordons origin story and how far he has gotten. In less than a month and a half, Jean Claude will retire. I strongly advise you to come and receive his services prior to his retirement. He now works only two and a half days a week.If you eat here, make sure to allow enough time to eat, as I ate from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Evening dinner was a delight and that’s because the service was excellent and our host Jean Klaus was excellent. The food was delicious and each course was a delight. The ravioli is a must and so is the apple tartin.
Had the menu prestige, I have never eaten at a michelin starred restaurant before so we were not sure what to expect, however the staff were very accomodating and kind. The food was uncomparable to any food I have tasted before, introducing me to flavours I didnt know existed. I joked to my partner that we were going to have to figure out how to climb down from this quality of food back down to our usual grub. The floor staff were also very attentive, they knew the dishes inside out and would occasionally make small talk with us, which was a nice touch to make us feel welcome. If you have the money to spend and a strong appetite, I cannot recommend this place enough!
Service was outstanding! Everyone was so welcoming and lovely. I have to admit that it’s not the best Michelin star meal I’ve devoured. It was very very delicious but it didn’t have a wow factor compared to other Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to.
my second try in this 3-star michelin experience since 2015. first time going for a surprise bespoke menu “carte blanche”. it was indeed better than my last try but hits and misses for certain dishes. overall still a good experience except for some dishes which i personally felt that it was too salty or too complex / trying too hard. at this price point, im sure we all have high expectations. service was definitely on point and kudos to the team!scallops from the isle of skye was the highlight of the day >> it was absolutely delicious and fresh, superb texture and the sauce illuminated the freshness! for me, cornish cod was the most unimpressive even though it was served with cavier.1. cured sea trout2. grilled scallops from Isle of Skye3. cornish cod4. guineafowl “blanquette”5. brie de meaux6. rhubarb and custard7. mille feuille
The service was excellent, really great. But sadly I was very disappointed with the food, which I hoped would be better. One of our party was terribly ill after the meal also. So the service gets it a couple of stars, everything else gets a zero.
