The food was amazing! We especially liked the bao with duck and hoisin sauce aswell as the chicken curry but everything was very very good. Flavorful and nicely presented. Generous portions for the main courses. Very kind waiters! We will definitely come back.

This is our favorite restaurant in Göteborg by far. We tried almost everything at the menu and we liked every food we had. There are two great things about this place, first is the knowledgeable friendly guy who is running it. Second is the food which didnt get asimilated into the Swedish taste.

A rather average and overpriced experience.The locale itself is well situated, but not charming at all with a sterile look and no (?music. it feels more like a communist style lunch place (milk bar). The staff is very friendly and attentive however, as well as knowledgeable, which is much appreciated.The food itself however has a flashy presentation, but behind that lies a lot of the same and overused ingredients. The Vietnamese salad (cucumber, carrot, tangy lime dressinglooks great, but it seems a large batch is produced and put into every dish. We had one appetizer and two mains and half of all three dishes was this exact same salad,. Apart from that more inexpensive ingredients like a lot of just cold and cooked rice noodles and some protein and stir fry. The stir fry itself was alright, but too salty. Okay vegan options though.Overall, would not recommend. The prices are way too high for the quality.

Great food, cute place and nice staff!

Took my family here a few weeks ago. My mum has a number of dietary requirements and they were amazing! So helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and everyone was talking about it for days afterwards. Highly recommend! Cant wait to go again!

Very nice restaurant! Food was super delicious. They even provided extra vegetables for noodle soups. The staffs were very friendly and professional. They explained drinks and food to us and gave us nice tips.

Without any overstatement, the food and the service was extraordinary good!The Banh Mi was by far the best we ever had.It’s a small family owned restaurant and all people are super kind and take their time to have a small conversation and give you suggestions and explanations to the food.Highly recommended and it was definitely not our last visit here!

For us it was the first time at a Vietnamese restaurant. We had a delicious dinner. We ordered Bahn Xeo and Ca Ri Ga together with the home made brew. The owner explained us with great detail where the dished originated from and how we could enjoy the tasty food the best. This all made it into an unforgettable evening.

Undoubtedly the best Vietnamese food Ive had in Gothenburg. Their menu is very extensive yet simple. The service is really good and they even put in the effort of recommending and explaining the dish once its served. Will definitely go back and recommend it for others

Ridiculously overpriced, tasteless and small portions! A vegetable cold cut dish with a common sauce cost 190 SEK! My 2 year old son could have done this dish better. Vietnamese food is wonderful but this place is a sad representation of it.

One of the top restaurants in Gothenburg. Simple interior, great food and the prices are very good too! Book well in advance to get a spot. Its hard even in weekdays. Try a cocktail and focus on the starters instead of the mains. Three starters or four if you are very hungry. Ive been 5 or 6 times and love it as much every time!

Nice low key, tasty food. Had the pho, pretty standard pho, all good. Also had spring rolls, which were really nice.

Most of the points go for the Ambience and excellent service. Food was good too, but maybe not the greatest Vietnamese food I have eaten in this part of the world.

Very delicious Vietnamese food. The Bao bun with duck and hoisin was fantastic and the vermicelli dishes with beef and spring rolls too. Even their lemonade was perfect. Finally, the staff are helpful and nice. Perfect place!

A very cozy little restaurant with more or less vietnamese food. As a vegetarian I very much appreciated that there are plenty of dishes that can be made vegetarian or vegan. The staff was super friendly and service was great overall. The food was tasty, however be warned! If the menu says something is spicy, its almost unbearably hot.

Vi Viet is consistently the top rated Vietnamese restaurant in Gothenburg for its quality cuisine, service and high value to price ratio. The Pho is particularly great here. Keep in mind that you should book tables in advance if you intend to visit at say Friday/Saturday evening to get a seat.Service was beyond excellent - a particularly commendable behavior was that waiters would ALWAYS ask for allergies when each course was ordered.

This restaurant was such a wonderful find! This family run establishment has wonderful food and wonderful service in a cozy ambiance.It is obvious that the food is prepared with love, using the freshest of ingredients! They have great options for vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians as well. I highly recommend even if you’re only visiting Gothenburg for one night!

Casual style, nice relaxed service and good food. Only downsides was the time it took for the food to arrive. We came at a busy time, but we knew what we wanted when we walked in and the main courses arrived an hour later. Perhaps it would have gone faster if we had not ordered a starter?If you like spice food you should ask to have any dish spicier.

Excellent food. I love Vietnamese food but find it hard to find a place to get my vegetarian wife to go to, and even harder to enjoy the food. The food here was the best Ive had in a long time, from the starters to the mains and the dessert and coffee, all just great. And my wife finally enjoyed Vietnamese food too!

Its expensive but the food was simply amazing. Although the serving was huge but I didnt want it finish. The staff was super nice and they explained to me what exactly was in my order and inquired about any allergies I might have. Overall a very good experience..

Good Bun Bo Hue, but the Pho was a bit disappointing. I’m partial to the “northern” style Pho which has a clear, savory broth whereas the southern style is more sweet.Dessert and appetizer were good but the Papaya Salad was a bit too sweet IMO

We went there because there’s this huge hype over how amazing and authentic it is. Had very high expectations when we finally got our reservations. Cozy place. Very packed so make sure you reserve seats before going. Great drinks. I personally think, as authentic as the food can be, it’s pretty bland. We tried nearly all the appetisers they had and a few main dishes. There are other better (cheaperVietnamese restaurants in Gothenburg if you’re really looking for a real Vietnamese restaurant.

It’s a overpriced place. Food is not so special or that good for the price you paid. The portion is also small so you need to order three courses to get full. Mostly you paid for is the location of the restaurant and environment and friendly stuff. I am more into the taste of the food, so I will not go there again. There are other more authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the town, but maybe not similar environment.

Beautiful, family-run Vietnamese restaurant which is probably the best of its kind in Gothenburg. The food is not only delicious but also given a thorough introduction by the staff. Wow the food was so, so good! I was not so hungry so I thought Id just have the pho, nudle soop. But the portion was huge! And staff was super friendly and took the time to tell us alot about the food. Make sure you book a table on time, because this place is popular!

I have been to this restaurant over 20 times during the past 18 months. This is simply one of the best restaurants in Goteborg in terms of tasty food, friendly and knowledgeable service and value-for-money. My favourites are the summer rolls and the mango salad. I love the beef and rice noodle dish as well though I do not think you can go wrong with anyt dish here. If you are new to this cuisine the servers take time to share their pride in their mothers cooking and heritage and will patiently instruct you in how you eat each dish. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Extremely friendly staff! They make me feel like family and it is like having dinner in their familys home. No fake, all is honest and real and that goes for service AND food.I understand why this place is always fully booked but I really dont understand how the chef (yes, only one!manages to feed all the guests with so well made and super tasty food.Ill keep coming back for the easy going atmosphere, relaxed environment and good food.

Stopped by this restaurant with my family and parents. I was a bit suprised of the very nice, modern and well decorated restaurant (not what I expected for a standard Vietnamese in Sweden). The waitress was very kind and answered all the questions we had and described all the dishes when served and how to eat them. We had the duck bun, summer rolls, banh mi, and mango salad for starters, then pho, curry and a meat and rice bowl. Loved the starters, all felt very fresh with good ingredients, the banh mi was good but couldnt shake off the feeling that the bread was a frozen baguette that they just warmed. Mango salad felt like a Vietnamese version of papaya salad, fresh, spicy and tasty with the nuts. Out of the mains, the pho and meat bowl was the best, curry nothing special. I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for good Vietnamese food.

The staff is not only friendly, but proactive to give you a good experience. The cocktails are different, interesting and very tasty. The food was sublime. Im very happy we had the chance to come without planning nor knowing what to expect. Highly recommend it.
