Reptile village in Entebbe - Museum in Iganga, Uganda
This place is very good and experience but few veriant of reptiles should put more
If you have the chance you must go, incredible what they are doing with little resources. The guide gave us lots of information about how it is managed, the reason to do it, and of course, plenty of interesting stuff about the reptiles in there. You are not going to see tons of animals because is not intended for that, paying the entrance will make you understand how dedicated the people working in there are with Ugandas wildlife. Great job!
Nice experience. Very informed, polite, professional & charming guide (Simon). The kids loved it!
Its a very adventurous place to everyone......thank you guys for the place please
Majority of reptiles can be accessed here. Best experience 👏
I dont deal with snakes but there are amazing species in all sorts of colours ..reptile lovers this is the right place to go .come enjoy nature
Unique experience, highly recommend this place! The guide is well educated on the animals and gives good explanations and demonstrates what the animals can do. This organization rescues and releases reptiles back into the wild. We got to see many types of snakes, crocodiles, tortoises and turtles, monitor lizards, and chameleons. Consider donating towards food for the animals so they can rescue and save more animals!
Very cozy place. I recommend to visit
The venomous section more paramount
Awesome experience. I highly recommend bringing your children along for an awesome day at the reptile Village.
Ugandas reptile sanctuary was really great to visit while in Uganda
Affected by covid the reptiles are now fewer and rise in water levels have affected its beauty
It was a good experience thanks to the workers there they are so helpful
Do you want to see reptiles?, Reptile Village Entebbe, Uganda is a place to go. See snakes like the Rock Python, Jamesons Mamba, Rhinoceros Viper, and Cobras, see Chameleons and iguanas and tortoises. The place is affordable for everyone and located in the town of Entente. The water levels have now decreased and the leisure park has been restored again.
Amazing place with different types of Reptiles in Africa. Its a must visit place in Uganda.
Place is not so big and number of animals/reptiles are not so big either, but Im glad they are working on saving, recovering and releasing animals in the wild
Very knowledgeable guides, cool experience for old and young!
Great place with snakes, crocodiles, turtles and chameleons. The guides are world-class.
This place is open. They closed for a time during covid but they were certainly open when we visited in September 2021.Go and visit, they need your support. They rescue reptiles bring them back to health and release to the wild.Due to flooding they lost the monitor lizard, puff adder and horned viper enclosures.Only place in Uganda that I know of that has this experience.Location is accurate on Google Maps 👍🏻.
If you love snakes and reptiles, this is among the top facilities to visit. If you have more time, you can take their boat to see reptile and birds in the wetlands
I loved the place and saw one of the poisonous snake in the world. If u havent been at the reptile village better hurry to tour here.
One of the few places we have in Uganda where you can see Ugandas reptiles and learning about it. I highly recommend it
Its really great n helps to deal with fear of wild animals more so reptiles
Wonderful customer care. The place has immense potential for tourism and educational purposes and destined to become a one stop reptile center however needs support from like minded people to invest into it in order to expand expand and support its activities.
Pretty nice to know about snakes and their behavious. Tortoise, crocs, chameleons.
Nice and small CBO for small reptiles spotted in the Entebbe wet and mashed areas. Visit and support them and learn about reptiles that lives in the wet lands.
Friendly reptiles, welcoming tour guides with a friendly smile and the place it’s so green. You can feel the real nature
It is located in Entebbe in WAKISO district. It has a variety of reptiles for example snakes 🐍, crocodiles🐊 and others. It is also a good place for birders since the place had a variety of birds. This is because the Reptile village has a green vegetation through out the year.
The curator is a very knowledgeable guy
Good initiative, not for people who fear snakes as most reptiles there are cobras, pythons and vipers. Dont visit on a rainy day because it gets all dump and wet.
This place has a unique and world most poisiones Snake also variety of turtule and more have over 100 year of age, good for as study tour
Its was a superb experience, Lawrence the guide was great. We enjoyed so much.
I rate 4 stars because I didnt see any fish in the pond. However, the staff members were very good and friendly.... In fact we had good time with them
Its a must if you stay at Entebbe, for reptile lovers...
Reptile Village was a good place to spend an hour on way to the airport. It is off the main road quite a bit so probably own transport required. Our guide Simon was excellent and very knowledgeable, letting the children touch the animals where appropriate and sometimes when not.
Worth the detour. It was quite an off-road drive through some villages to get to the reptile village, but Im happy I did it. Its a small zoo-like experience but more personal. They provide a guide and get you fully hands on with the reptiles they have there (obviously not the poisonous ones). It was a great experience, should take under an hour.
Simple but great little place to see snakes, turtles and Nile crocodiles. Exciting for kids! Guided tour takes 30-45 minutes.
Its where you can find different types of reptiles, and can easily learn how to sail on water! I used a boat for the first time, and the staff is friendly.
Good visit until we saw the chicks (food for snakes). There were twenty chicks, a third dead, a third dying! We were explained chicks were dying because the park doesnt always feed them...Ok these animals are to be eaten however its not necessary to let them die like that. For a park that wants to promote conservation of animals it should be more coherent.
Great tour guide and very informative. Not your normal zoo. The chameleon house was a lot of fun.
These people are very dedicated for saving reptiles and educating locals and tourists about reptiles. Definitely worth of visit, you like reptiles or not.
U can get too close to the most dangerous reptiles on earth if u fancy game. Very natural ambiance.
From the outside it doesnt look impressive but when you take a guide it really makes for a fun and cool experience. You can hold a tortoise and see cobras attack.
Community project. Locally administered. They rescue those reptiles from the communities in Uganda. The guide is knowledgeable so it makes it more interesting. There are snakes, chameleons, nile monitor lizards, crocodiles and turtles. The tour is about 1 hour. The roads to get there are rough, better to use a 4×4, a bicycle or boda-boda.
Not so big, but enjoyable. Crocodiles, snakes and many other species available. Not so well maintained. The guide is quite good, friendly and knowledgeable.
In need of maintenance but besides that the place is really cool and fun to visit
Very nice selection and fantastic guide. I agree with Chris Johnsons assessment of the location. The facility with the big sign that reads Uganda Reptile Village is located at N 0.105026, E 32.474281
Great to see a local conservation initiative like this. There are however few reptiles to see and mostly of the dangerous kind which makes you wonder whether it is really a rescue centre as they claim. Place could further use some maintenance and cleaning. Otherwise, if you wish to support local initiatives and/or have kids in the 3-10 age range: visit the place.
Uganda reptile village is a good place to view the reptiles such as snakes for example cobras,Python, rhinoceros viper, green mamba,Nile crocodile s,White rats,Monitor lizards,Tortoises and many more.
I went here on my first trip to Africa, it really makes you aware of how many kinds of venomous snakes there are in Africa, and they only have a small percentage withe the 50 or so variety that you will see. The best is the Gabon Vipers that you cant see even when there right in front of you. Great experience!
