MorePeppercorn berger OMG reason ill be a forever customer....regardless of that the food is on point soon as you walk in your greeted with happy smiles 😃 great ppl love the food keep it going reggies 😁🤙
MoreWe are eating here right now. Its so good I thought to leave a review immediately.Best burgers, generous sizing, crispy fries, and the milkshakes are fantastic!Kudos to Reggies Hot Grill. Easily the best burger joint in Peterborough.
MoreOnline ordering was great, service was great, the poutine was great but the burger was dry and not very good. I recommend the poutine, but Id stay away from the burgers.
MoreAmazing ! I ordered a veggie mozzarella burger and it was worth it. The quality of the food is great. The buns are fresh and their meat burgers are real.Expect to pay 16$ for a drink, a burger and a medium poutine.^******I left this review 5 years ago, giving it a strong 4 stars. Unfortunately, I find the quality has gone down, espicially during the pandemic. I ordered a Hawaiin burger and the meat was incredibly dry, both peameal bacon & beef patty. Almost as though jt had been re-heated. Its not the first time in the last couple of years that the quality has been subpar. I am quite disappointed and will likely not continue to purchase from this restaurant.
MoreCrispy fries, real curds, piping hot gravy (and lots of iton a cold winters day. The staff was super friendly and helpful, taking the order a couple of minutes before official opening time and bringing the order to the door. Great spot, would highly recommend it!
MoreFood was Fantastic, drove into Peterborough from Toronto, Stopped at Reggie’s Hot Grill and is was delicious, the Berger was of Top Gourmet Quality, you just have to try it. We will be back !
MoreSomeone tried to order for us, directly through restaurant for delivery. They messed up and sent it to the wrong address. Multiple phone calls did not clear up the situation. I tried to arrange to pick up our food instead of have it delivered and they refused to allow it. Our delivery was over two hours late because it had to be remade. The person who paid was not reimbursed for the order and was not given the food that was mistakenly sent to their address. Not the first time they have messed up delivery. In store is great, delivery seems to be too much to handle for them
MorePlaced an order for delivery.Once I got back inside and opened the bag, I realised they didnt include the 2 drinks I ordered. Then one of the burgers didnt have everything I wanted on it.I emailed the store, but have not heard back.May be awhile before ordering again.
MoreThe best place to go in Peterborough for fresh cut fries and burgers, hands down. I love their commitment to supporting local - you know youre getting the best when their meat comes from King Street Market and potatoes from local farmers! Try the hot dog loaded with all the toppings and the sweet potato fries... I would eat it every day if I could.
MoreI am all about supporting small businesses and only want to see them flourish. I am bummed to have to give only three stars for my experience, but I was pretty disappointed. First, I will say that I am a driver for Skip the Dishes, and the service is always friendly. However the quality of the food was disappointing.I only live 5 minutes away from Reggies, so when I placed my order I left right away and waited at the restaurant, and drove home immediately after pick up. I was entertaining some friends so we were excited to try their food. Unfortunately, when we opened the box of onion rings they were already soggy - and not hot. Also, my burger was cold, and the patties were overcooked. That being said, someone ordered the chicken feta sandwich and it was unbelievable. I would probably order that next time - if there is a next time. Also the fry portions were generous. It’s hard in a world of competing food service when there is so many choices at hand, so it’s hard to say whether I will go back, especially with all of the other great options around ptbo. Hopefully if I do, it’ll be a bit better.
MoreFood was very good, reasonably priced and fries had good portion to them. Parking was kind of a pain but otherwise, a great spot.
MoreI had a great lunch there. I’ve tried a few local burger spots, this one is the best. Even more so , I received great service . The staff is so pleasant and eager to please. I can understand why everyone talks about this place now!
MoreWe used to go to Reggies all the time, years ago. The Blue Bayou burger was my absolute FAVOURITE, along with the Chicken El Feta burger. Since new owners purchased the restaurant in more recent years, we have gone back a handful of times, but its just disappointing each time we get a burger. The burgers do not taste the same, they are always DRY. The Blue Bayou just isnt good anymore and neither is the Feta Chicken burger (although they do use a generous amount of feta). Poutine is good, Id rather eat Reggies poutine over Whistle Stops barf.. but the gravy is weird now and I miss the orange curds lol!! Its not a bad place for lunch but Im just sad its not the same and NOT as good as it used to be at all.
MoreYou guys should fix your stairs before someone slips down them and dies. Close up for a few days ..its worth it..to not have some pregnant woman or elderly person..or anyone for that matter falling down the stairs .Peterburgers is better. Way better 100%
MorePricey for a poutine. Got 2 "mediums" and it was over $25...had bacon on one but still. Took about 15 minutes. Was delicious. But its poutine...Service was good.
MoreREVISED: Delicious food! Especially the poutine!! Prices are really good for the quality! Its not a very nice place to eat in unfortunately so we usually get takeout or delivery. They dont have air conditioning so its disgustingly hot in there in the summer and the seating consists of wooden benches and chairs so its not too comfortable. Its also super noisy with fans going and kitchen noise and people ordering but they do have a couple tables outside which is a good alternative. Theres about a 15 mins wait for your order but its worth it. Its about the same price as fast food but the portions are much bigger and the quality of food is way better. I prefer the cans and bottles of pop over the fountain pop as it doesnt taste very good with city water. And the washrooms are pretty dirty which is disappointing. But its one of the best places in Peterborough to get takeout or delivery! In the summer, we usually pick it up and go down by the water on Mariah St (which is a 2 mins drive awayand sit and eat at a picnic table in the park to enjoy the view and nice weather.
MoreFood was great, really enjoyed my burger. They also gave prompt service. They knew my friend as a regular too and were very happy to see him. I really appreciated the friendly service. Will go back.
MoreReggies is a gem! Gourmet, made-to-order burgers that are absolutely delicious. Nicely charred, juicy patties and beef thats.. well..beefy. Its hard to mess up a burger when you have quality patties and you can definitely taste that here. This place can be overwhelming at first. You get a paper type menu where you check the options that you would like and you WILL be overwhelmed at first by the number of options
MoreThis is a good spot. As soon as you enter, you can see its a simple place, not that big and a bit basic, but the flavor of the food is quite good, better than many other similiar places Ive dined in and people are friendly here. My kids loved the burgers and poutine and I found the best Hawaiian burger in town so far. Well come again for sure.
MoreThe owners are great. The food is amazing. They need to fire the 1 cook and the girl that works there. They make the place not feel so welcome
MoreI ordered a poutine it was deliciously tasty. My friend ordered the Italian sausage with onion rings. Both were very delicious!
MoreThe old reggies was way better,This was terribleHad a long wait on the food, for what i paid and what i got, was not happy at all, burger was way over cooked,Because of the limited seating we got ours to go and ate in the vehicle because there was 1 person sitting at the tables.All-in-all not going to go back was a very bad experience.
MoreThe meat is ok. Obviously premade in large batches because it loses a lot of its ground beef texture, kinda like the tubes of ground beef from walmart. Somethings just off about it. Maybe overmixed. They attempt to season it, which I might add is not bad, but almost overpowering the real beef flavour any good burger should have.Maybe it was just the few times Ive been, but I tend to get a chunk of tomato rather than a proper slice, and a huge hard wad of lettuce (definitely closer to the core of the lettuce)I went once when busy, and once when dead.Tbh a drive thru burger is just as good, especially from wendys. For a burger, It was just... Meh.The staff are friendly though, and we did not wait too long. :)Id recommend the poutine though.
MoreIf you dont know what to expect the second you step into this place then I cant help you. But if you think "big ol greasy burger" when you walk in then heres some additional advice. Grab your slip, fill it out, sit down and shut up, and when the food comes leave. Grab a load of napkins and head up to armour Hill. Youre about to eat a big ol greasy burger and enjoy a view and make use of those napkins.
MoreHonestly, super hit or miss. Sometimes the food can be great and sometimes it doesnt even taste like it came from the same restaurant. Got a poutine with very overcooked soggy limp fries and was very dissatisfied. Other times their poutine had been great. Same with other food menu items. I keep going back because they can make really great food but its never a sure thing....in my experience.
MoreJust dined in and had a few burgers with my wife, plus my 8 month old devoured some delicious fries. Burgers are incredible and the poutine is awesome. Took a few burgers to go for some family members to try. Will definelty be back here in the future.
MoreExcellent juicy burgers, well seasoned, crispy tasty fries. Friendly fast service, small but nice place to relax to eat. Ice cream for dessert!
MoreGreat food with amazing service that goes above and beyond to ensure you are fully satisfied! Poutine, hot dogs and of course burgers are all favs in our house!
MorePrice point is high for the quality. Burgers were bland. Poutine was way too salty. And none of the containers are reusable (even if youre staying everything is in a "to go" container).
MoreVery disappointed with the service and food, but mainly the food. I went in to pick up a basic poutine that I ordered online. When I arrived, I had to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. She asked me if I was there for the poutine, I said yes, and she asked for money. When I said I paid online, she just said ok and handed me my food. The poutine gravy was ok, but the cheese curds squeaked against my teeth... it felt like rubber plastic. I have never thrown out a poutine before this.
MoreGreat little burger place. It is nice and shall with eat in and take out available. They serve burgers and chicken, fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries. The different sauces they have are very good as well. I had the special for the day and with fries and a drink it was $11, so it is a great deal. All their prices were very reasonable. I will go again.
MoreLoved the fish and chips only served on Fridays. Clean place, staff are kind and friendly. The poutin was delicious! The burgers too!
MoreMy hubby and I use to eat here all the time. Went in a week ago stood in line, there were two ppl in front of us. She took their orders and turned around and ignored us. We waited a few more minutes still no one took our order!! Off to Apollo grill we went. Pretty disappointed with new owners.
MoreIts so nice to have a nut free place to eat. Their milkshakes are fantastic and they offer the best poutine Ive ever had.
MoreReggies Hot Grill is a good middle ground between pricey and classic fast burger joints. They offer a good selection of burgers, and the fries were tasty. It is owned by the people who own Red Wagon, but I think Id make the drive north of town to Red Wagon over Reggies.
MoreReally good fries or poutine. Havent had one for a while but the burgers Ive had were a little well done. The place could use some decorating but some of the best poutine in town. Tasty gravy.
MoreTook my family of four here, and all were satisfied. You can really tell when food is made fresh and with quality ingredients. This isnt some crappy fast food place. French fries are fresh cut, which makes a big difference. The chicken and the pulled pork (sweet saucewere both great, Didnt realize it at the time, but gluten free bread was apparently available.
MoreThis restaurant was seen on "You Gotta Eat Here" and really you dont. The hamburger was just that, nothing special. I ordered the chicken fingers which were supposed to come with fries and coleslaw. The fries came about 5 minutes after the chicken finger and there was no coleslaw. The chicken fingers were so salty they were inedible and when I told them the response was "thanks for letting us know".
MoreAmazing burger considering my order was custom completely. Well prepared and served In a timely fashion. Fiance And i are very happy With our visit and definitely as a local secret this is one of the better ones. 5/5
MoreStopped in today for lunch with 3 friends. Two of us placed our order at 12:30pm and finally got it at 8 min. after 1. My meal were cold and so was my friends. There was was 4 people working there so there was no reason for this. I was told that this a great place to eat but for us it was terrible.
MoreStopped in for a burger and fries. The burger was well cooked and juicy could use a bit more seasoning though. The fries were excellent. Service is awesome and the restaurant was very clean. Other than there is no parking I have no complaints. I highly recommend this place.
MoreSince the new ownership about mid December, this place has been re-born, i was left in amazement at the quality of the food, will be going many more times. Dont judge this one by old reviews, youll miss out on a good burger.
MoreI came here because it was so highly recommend, but I was frankly disappointed. The burger and fries took 15 minutes to be served and there were only three other customers. When I got the burger it was very dry and very over done. The sauce I ordered with the meal was also forgotten.I can see the potential and will be back because I want to give a good review, and more than anything get a great burger.
MoreSmoky when we went in. Pretty small sits about 22. Fill out your own order. Dont park in the plaza right next door, you will be towed. I really to like the burgers and fries.
MoreOne of the best restaurants in Peterborough!Me and a friend of mine were out biking today and looking for a place to eat, thought we would stop here as he had been there before. Very small building, easy to miss. Great service, everyone is happy and smiling. Burgers are tender and juicy, good variety of condiments and add-ons as well. Seat is nice and very comfortable, and also very, very clean (Even the floors were spotless!). They also offer completely free and unlimited refills, which is just amazing. everything is nice and hot when given to you, and they bring the food right to you! Also Im sure the outdoor space would be great in the summer. Prices are reasonable, paid just under $10 for a burger (which even the smallest one is huge), fries (again, smallest one is huge), and two fountain drinks. The order sheets are fun and very interesting to fill out, and something I thought would be a god idea is that they supply reading glasses.Over all love this place, would defiantly go back! Even though it is in east city and I live in the west end, it is easily worth the drive.10/10
MoreBurgers are great! The check off menu / order form is fun and unique. Service is friendly always! We always come back here when we visit Peterborough!
MoreSaw Reggies featured on "You Got to Eat Here", so I tried them yesterday. What a mistake! The burger was over cooked dry, tasteless and chewy like cardboard. The onion rings were so overcooked when you picked them up they crumbled, you couldnt even recognize that there was onion in them. They also had no taste at all. It took 25 minutes to get our order.I will never be back.
MoreSERVICEVery, very poor service. I waited for 30 minutes (their ordering board board boasts 10 minute wait times). The cashier did not bother to let me know that they were running behind schedule (and to be honest, it didnt look any busier than usual in there). When I told the cashier about this (KINDLY, mind you, I was in no way rude when I told herI was then told that theyd been busy all day (which is not really my problem: if youre so busy that your order time is going to run 3x longer than usual, just let your customers know when theyre ordering their food so were not waiting around wondering whether youve lost the order or not).I tried to let them know about this in-person and by phone but there was no manager on duty for me to tell them at the restaurant and the Reggies phone number had no voice mail (perhaps because the volume of complaint-based messages may take over the machine?).FOODBurger was undercooked (Im not talking TRACES of pink, Im talking LOADS of pink). Burger was also messy to the point where I couldnt pick up the burger from any side without getting sauce everywhere (keep in mind that I did not ask for extra sauce or anything). Fries were a much tinier portion than usual. If youre in the neighbourhood, skip Reggies and opt for Carpe Diem (on Armour roadnext time (the service is much better, the food is much tastier and much faster).I dont know whats happened to Reggies: I liked them more when they had the old chip stand at Trent University, back when they cared about high quality food and maintaining their customers.
MoreI am IN LOVE with their Drop-out Burger! If you get the Sweet Potato Fries, get the CAJUN dip with them - youll have dies and gone to HEAVEN!They have some of the friendliest staff Ive ever met, always smiles and a good chat. For under 10 dollars I got an amazing burger (which was HUGE by the way - at least double the size of a McGangBang and it tasted WAY better too!).Food thats to die for, a chuckle from the decor, and a friendly reception? Now THAT is the kind of standard I wish ALL Peterborough restaurants would live up to - all ONTARIO restaurants for that matter!Thank you Reggies for an AWESOME afternoon!
