Regency Suites Hotel - in Georgetown, Guyana
Staff so friendly, hotel is a bit dated but totally enjoyed my stay.
I cant speak on the rooms, since I was only there for a training session at the conference hall. But the place feels like its stuck in the 80s with the interior design, which wouldnt of been a bad thing, if it was maintained properly. They seriously need to invest in upgrading the interior.Oh, and the food is awful.
Parking is the problem
Service
A good place to stay.
My first trip to Guyana. I stayed at the Regency for 1 night. The hotel clerk was welcoming. The porter was helpful and honest. Safety protocols were posted but not all was done. Temperatures were checked, hands were sprayed but luggages were not sanitized. Someone was not always at the door to perform these duties. Rain poored and water started to come into the lobby- they did have someone to clean up in a timely manner. My friends and I got breakfast which did not turn out well. The waiter was patient but the food was not the best. I had the Canadian breakfast: pancakes and eggs. The pancakes tasted like it was going bad and I only had the eggs. None of us was able to finish our breakfast. I probably would stay there again but would go outside or bring my own food.
Wonderful Hospitality, clean environment, friendly staff and nice meals.
All is ok !
Worst motel I ever seen.Nasty place the floor has duct tape in spots. No wash clothes in restroom. This place deserves a half star.
Las habitaciones están bien, pero en general no está muy acomodado, la comida no es buena y en el lobby y restaurante no tienen aire acondicionado
i have not to much time there just pass the night
Experience was good, room was clean and the restorant was very nice
View from the balcony at Regency Suites
I was at a conference there and its better on the inside of the building than what you see on the outside, lots of space and AC , excellent costumer service
I got a double bedroom...they accommodated right away ..however for $15,000...their beds were old and you could feel the spring...their towels were stained...the shower curtain had black stains...it was cloth as well..being as though it is an ac room the floors were so cold..they need rugs...I dont think the tub was bleached..because there were dirt stains..lights went out in 24 hrs twice..for the money we spend they should be able to afford a generator...On the whole I didnt like the stay however they have the most greatest customer service...they are very accommodating, polite and helpfulWhat I also love the most is the balcony...
The hotel stay was nice bathroom clean beds neat, the refrigerator was plugged out not sure if it was working at all.The restaurant service was poor. Rhe only thing they didnt do was throw the food on rhe table. The toast was burnt, the cheese came so big I could wrap it and sell it back, management was advised so hopefully some training happens and rge stay is different next time.
Excellent and polite staff, food could be much better
Ok clean
Better than majority of hotels around Georgetown
Worst service .every day has a new surprise
Is not fantastic just OK nothing special
The restaurant is very quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly also standard room, bed and pillows fine. Not bad position (very close to the Georgetown center)
Good service for the money I paid. Friendly staff.
Enjoyed my time there.
Peaceful
Good.
Great
Offers meeting room services
They do no take credit cards from United States , the credit card machine that they use is very old so that your credit card that you use to charge the hotel bill will come back declined, the hotel is not even a 1 star hotel, I gave it a 1 because that was the lowest grade I can give to this hotel. Definitely do your homework do not choose this hotel you will be saddly disappointed!
Feels slightly like home
Great place with a relaxing environment and a variety of delicious meals to enjoy. The location of the hotel is very central and it is an excellent venue for a conference, wedding and or event.
Nice service and is a Great Venue...we had a Great Time...started late but everything still went Perfectly..
The staff at the front desk are super friendly and helpful , they treat you like family
Nice ballroom
Very average accommodation. Nothing wowing about this hotel
Its comfortable and confidential
Staff is beyond helpful. They bend over backwards to help the guests. The facilities are reasonable for the area. The pool isnt suitable for swimming..too small, no diving board.. deep end aint that deep and the water tasted kinda sour. The restaurant is lacking in selection and quality. Theres no room service, and restaurant closes at 11pm. A/C is not avail in the common spaces/hallways.. but the rooms are cool as a breeze with their own a/c units. Our room came with a tv, cable, a safe and decent WiFi. Hot running water for the shower was great. each floor has a huge open air patio overlooking the front of the hotel. its the staff that really redeems this place.
Nice rooms
