Refuge Coffee Co. - Coffee shop in Tucker, United States
I had a honey cinnamon latte and it was to die for! So delicious! LOVE the murals!
Great place to get coffee and meet a wonderfully diverse group of people. Awesome experience every time. They also have lovely social and cultural events. A very special place with a beautiful vibe.
Great coffee. Dope cause. Wonderful people. Loads of culture. And the artwork is A1!
Their coffee rivals some of the best. I love the platform they have and what they provide. Beautiful. A+. friendly.
Very friendly little bit language challenge great experience great location does need some weekly entertainment some sort of art. Gymnastic singing or poetry. Love their community involvement. 🤗🕊️
I visited for the first time on October 1st and loved it. Service was quick and the coffee was hot and enjoyable.
I always wanted to stop here and today I finally did wow what a wonderful experience coffee was really good
Good Cappuccino, Great place, and Awesome customer service!
Nice little place with overpriced coffee. It’s kinda ironic that they call themselves “refuge” while supporting organizations with ideology that make refugees.Edit: I’m talking about communism ( why I and my family is here), Marxism, Socialism. All these create the most refugees that come to USA and this company promotes organizations with those ideologies. Very ironic.
Love this place! Such a great atmosphere and great coffee too!
Excellent coffee and atmosphere! Love the mission and vision of what they are doing. If you are in Clarkston, please get some coffee from here and support them!
Love this place, wonderful community and location. Great social mission and the coffee and teas are wonderful, they also have some small bites available -- Ive previously gotten some delicious sambusas here, they also have some pastries. Often there are some vendors or events in the area. The cafe also hosts a community fridge to help those in need.
Solid coffee shop. They have a brick and mortar building with merchandise and beans for sale, and some climate controlled seating, but they serve coffee out of the food truck parked outside, so head there first. Lots more seating outside. Parking lot is a little hectic and undefined, but well worth a stop!
A must try if youre looking for a good cup of coffee. Good vibe too. Very communal
Ordered coffee this morning for me and my coworker and we both got the lavender latte and it was super super lovely. We were both in awe of how amazing it was. Thank you so much!!!
Love the coffee, love the atmosphere. I come here to work on assignments or just to read a book.
Popped in for a cup o joe the other day. Caught up with my favorite owner, and got some mega studying in too! The place/area has had some lovely upgrades since I last swung by. 😃🙌🏽 I love it here!!!
Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had! I wish that I lived closer. I would get it everyday.
Very cool vibe ! We had the mango smoothy :)
Super nice peopleCute work chill space if you’re in the areaGood coffeeHelp the people out and buy merchandise or some coffee
Such a great local woth matching ambience and social service. I love their community pantry and their employment of refugees. Everyone I encountered from guests to employees were incredibly friendly!
Great local spot with lots of space to read or work while you enjoy coffee, tea or a snack. Try their lavender latte 😍
I must say refuse coffee is indeed a pleasure. A good atmosphere with a feel good aroma. The coffee here is exquisite, you must try the caramel frappuccino. It throws the competition down by the sea.
Fun place for sure. Wish they had more of a selection in baked goods...like breakfast sandwiches etc. Servers are wonderful but sometimes not enough of them...so be prepared to wait.
This is a great place to meet! Its open, spacious & theres coffee!Although I have never tasted their product I will say that I have seen them grow and become a friend of the community. They are expanding locations, equipment and even vehicles. Now that Ive posted this, Id better go get a cup to see what it do.
I have ordered Caramel Macchiato and it was so delicious, thank you Refuge coffee for the best coffee.
Looking for good Ethiopian coffee, tea, or hot mocha? Need a place to sit and visit or read? This is your place in Clarkston.Their mission is to provide an environment to support a refugee community thorough their coffee business. Sit for awhile meet people from around the world while enjoying your coffee.Oh yes. Your dog is welcome. They even offered us water for Winnie.
Always a pleasant experience and love the sense of community here. They have a community fridge, bookcase, and plenty of seating. Not a lot of variety of coffee but im here for the environment and the refugees and immigrants community this coffee shop serves!
We brought the Refuge Coffee truck out to our annual awards ceremony last weekend and it was a big hit with the attendees. The team on the truck was great and our attendees were very pleased with them, the drinks and the pastries. Definitely a real value for what we paid.
ABSOLUTELY RECOMEND!!!!!!Staff is Super Courteous , kind, friendly and Respectful.Came to have coffee and complete a little bit of work work in the Morning and was able to complete a LOT of work undisturbed for 2.5 hours with everyone being respectful. ( I chose to my own Hotspot, nothing wrong with their Wi-fi)Great and relaxed atmosphere to have a friends or date coffee. Small Business with small but quality pastry and Coffee Selection. Coffee quality is great.Has a Free Pantry too, YES a Free Pantry with a fridge you can pick items from if needed.I will most definitely be back, one of the Best hidden gems in Clarkston area but not for long.
You can get some great tasting, unique items here. Coffees teas and smoothies. I tried the chagaccino coffee, and separately hibiscus tea. Made with real ingredients, real tea, no powders. Can sit outside or inside. Very friendly place.
I am visiting from out out town and my friend and I decided to try the Chai workshop at Refuge. We got the locations mixed up unfortunately but the kind man who helped us took it upon himself to set up a workshop and do it for us himself. He did such a great job and I can’t recommend the experience enough. The overall atmosphere was excellent too. A very welcoming environment.
I like the atmosphere and the mission of the coffee shop, but the internet can be spotty. It would be helpful if all the employees were trained on how to restart the modem as there were times when I asked baristas or others in the back office and they didnt seem to know how. Also, the majority of people who work there are really good people, but a couple of people in management literally moved tables after I asked them if they could restart the router due to the internet being so slow.It was all smiles from them, but I could tell that they couldnt be bothered.Otherwise, this place is worth supporting. The people that come through are wonderful and the set-up is creative and comfortable. Its a place that I try to visit each time I come through Atlanta.Youll definitely feel like youve found a gem in Refuge Coffee once you experience it.
We rented their coffee cart for our event in May,2021 for a Non-profit organisation event. We catered for about 60+ people. They enjoyed the Coffee and Tea. By supporting them I realized they shared a profit to improve life of a refugee.Do remind them to call you to confirm before the event. They were on time and pleasant host.Every time you hire one of their trucks, trailers or carts you are providing wages for a full or part-time job for a resettled refugee or immigrant who is part of their job training program. Good Luck supporting them!!!
A lovely place with a wonderful mission. I’ve been coming here for 2 years to study and socialize. Their coffee is great (their winter specialty drinks are so good!and the staff is friendly. One of my favorite coffee shops in Atlanta ♥️
Clarkston landmark has a good $2.25 cup of drip coffee. Plenty of shaded seating. Friendly help. Just a 4 mile jaunt from Decatur on the bike path.
Great coffee shop . Employees are very welcoming and warm. The space is in an old gas station , it’s massive with a lot of space and natural light. Perfect for getting work done or hanging out .The concept of the spot is wonderful ,Coffee is great at a good price . ☕️
Big area for seating indoors and out with a food truck that you order from. Was my first time here, but wasnt let down- The hibiscus tea is phenomenal!Gotta give their coffee some more tries and get food next time Im thereI really like their companys mission and plan to make the drive out more often to support it.
Love it! Converted old gas station. Outdoor seating plus seating in the old garage. Food truck service. Coffee, iced tea, frappe, soda, espresso, pastries. Clean bathrooms. Classes. Drive through and walk up service.
Coffee is amazing. The flavor is very good. I love the mission of this coffee place and their customer service is so good! Definitely will be back and recommend people going here. ☕😋 They also have great shirts, coffee mugs and stickers! 😁🙌
Great chai latte and quick service. Awesome set up with indoor and outdoor seating/shared space while the baristas are housed in the food truck. Baristas are primarily refugees learning job skills and earning a living wage through this business. Definitely more deserving of your money than Starbucks.
I go out of my way to grab a coffee from this awesome place whenever I can. Great flavor and never bitter. I recommend the mocha latte.more important, Refuge Coffee Company is changing peoples lives. Their whole point Is to support refugees, train them in a set of skills and to supply them with jobs to support their families.
What a wonderful place, in so many ways, for so many reasons! Today is the second time I attended the once-monthly Game Night at Refuge, which I highly recommend.
This place is amazing!!! Really great seating in doors and out and you can feel good that your money is going to a worthy cause. Definitely worth a drive!
Grabbed me a medium mocha coffee, an a plain crossaint from the Refuge Coffee Co. Truck. Fantastic coffee, an a unique plump crossaint....toasted. Great pick me up after being up an driving this brisk morning.
One of my favorite coffee places in the area. The atmosphere is awesome, the espresso tastes great, and the employees are polite and helpful
Amazing coffee in Clarkston. I love coming here and supporting local refugees. The coffee is delicious, and the space is unique. There’s no true indoor space with an AC — just a enclosed garage space and outdoor seating under the old gas station awning. So embrace the Georgia heat, and cool off with an iced coffee in the shade!
I don’t work here. I don’t even know a single person that does- but I am so proud of this organization for their stellar work at gathering a workforce and pouring into them. This company sees past language and culture barriers in one of the USA’s most unique communities of refugees! Their actual assistance provides living wage work and pay with actual promise for further development. The folks in the community have seen this place go from a corner gas station to a safe community space for all races to gather, meet, share needs, and connect on a soul level! I couldn’t be more excited for this establishment! We drove four hours one way just to get here and see it because we heard of it. And since then I have sent at least a half dozen locals down to pour into their work. It works- so we support it! You just have to catch the vision for what is to come!
I’ve visited Refuge Coffee several times but I really enjoyed visiting during the 5K this past weekend. I was able to spend more time here and see a great host of people. Their chocolate croissant that they had was amazing!!! My daughter loved their choco-loco drink too.
Incredible 1st experience at this lovely, delicious nonprofit coffee house staffed by refugees, beautifully reflecting the multicultural Clarkston community. Coffee and chai tea were both yummy crafted by immigrants as they transition to life in Atlanta. Go support this place!Additionally, enjoyed Sofar Sounds Atlanta - a unique, pop up musical experience with location revealed the day prior and musicians a surprise on site. We enjoyed sounds from Adrian, Team Abyss.... Beautiful voices and spoken word. Great time had by all!
