Redemption Roasters - Coffee shop in Sake, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Good coffee, nice choice of food.
All of the baristas here make this shop worth a visit! They always manage to put a smile on my face and take the time to chat to me, even when theyre crazy busy. Its the highlight of my day!
I have to ask myself why do I even go there, every time I come in I leave in a worst mood then i was. Customer service is so disappointing, I swear they give better attention in McDonalds. Will avoid in future.
Expensive coffee (£.4.10), had to pay 50p for non-dairy milk and tastes like Pret - wont be going back again.
Great staff and convenient location. More than £4 for a small oat flat white (takeawayis incredibly expensive.
Nice place, but £4.10 for a small oat latte (50 p extra for non-dairy milkis steep, even for London. Not one of the most atmospheric cafes in London I’ve been too, either.
Excellent variety of beans. Can’t go wrong with the cortado and flat whites
Okay coffee, service without a smile and one of the most astonishingly expensive flat whites Ive ever had. I like what theyre trying to achieve but not feeling this place at all, its more of an overpriced hipster hangout with an (admirablesocial pursuit tacked on the end. Not for me, sorry
Although its a cosy place yet some staff making it unwelcoming, coffee taste varies every day!! Food is acceptable. The attitude can be more welcoming.
Definitely one of the best quality coffee in London if it’s not the best. I just wished if they smile more often to customers
Had a great iced chai. The decor is really cute. Nice seating, the downstairs seating definitely the best spot to sit with large groups. Its nice and cool despite the hot weather. It is rather expensive and you dont get a lot to drink with the amount you pay but it really is good quality coffee and drinks that you are paying for.
Bad experience, the coffee was good but the waitress was totally condescending…
Wonderful coffee, especially the filter.
Really delicious coffee on a quiet and nice street! Loved the vibe of this place, and the quality of their coffee is amazing! Highly recommend if you are into specialty coffee
This is a really scenic coffee store, nice aesthetic and general cleanliness.Good drink selection and friendly service.
ordered soy mocha- quick service and cute art :)
Decent coffee and avo smash toast, but burnt milk and overcooked poachies
One of the best coffee shops around! Amazing coffee, pastries and more pricy, but high quality breakfast. Extremely kind staff, super helpful with tourist recommendations as well. Super quick if your in a rush, would definitely recommend!
Delicious coffee and pastries and the highlight is that the shop has a really nice concept. I’d definitely come back.I tried their Oat Flat White and Chocolate Babka.
Excellent strong coffee. Prompt friendly service. Some outside seating to people watch. A little pricier than other nearby cafes but nice as an occasional treat.
Aside from the wonderful company vision, Bloomsbury is my favourite Redemption Roasters. I come back consistently for the staff, everyone in the team is kind and honest. Every conversation I have with any barista here lights me up even more than the coffee does. I would entirely recommend if you are looking for a friend, as well as a regular spot to study.
A nasty man behind the counter. So smug, like if I spoiled his day. I paid for the matcha and saw him preparing it with such an attitude and terrifying energy, I had to walk out before it was even made. I don’t enjoy food and drinks that are made by people who obviously don’t wanna be there.
A beautiful, calm coffee place with great friendly staff and an amazing social enterprise - their filter coffee gets me through my studies.
redemption coffee serves some of the best coffees in london. I enjoyed Angel branch the most.Bloomsbury one is fine for coffee, but customer services really depends. A barista with glasses on seems not willing to give out stamp cards or answer questions when a customer asked for it, kind of killed the weekday morning rhythm.
Best coffee I had in London. Excellent service. Made my day =)
OMG a shop and toaster that know the right temperature of a long black!!! Heaven!
Two stars for the oat flat white I got which is good. Three stars minus for the attitude I get over the first payment not going through and almost double charging me due to their Wi-Fi not working properly. I asked for a receipt which showed the cancellation of charge so I can take it up with my bank, they just wanted to settle this with a free coffee next time which is of no use because I don’t even live nearby. When the guy finally agreed to give me a refund, very reluctantly and looking obviously angry and frustrated, my Monzo app showed the first payment was cancelled. But I won’t come here again to receive this kind of service. AVOID.
The best coffee Ive had all week, and where do I start with the Nutella Cronut - wow!
Very busy place and in my opinion the cleanliness of the counter area where drinks are prepared could be improved. When collecting our drinks we could clearly see how clean the area is…
Nice and cozy coffee shop in the heart of Bloomsbury. Great list of freshly roasted coffee and good brunch menu.
A quirky location with a lot of geometric and industrial furniture with a modern, minimalist feel. If its not too busy, its fun to seat in the different uncomfortable looking chairs/stools and discover that they are actually really supportive!A really nice collection of pastries and brunch options with good hot drinks. Perfect stop for a winter day. The staff are lovely and efficient.
Lovely coffee shop in Bloomsbury. I tried and the Ethiopian Blend Filter coffee and it was delicious. It was especially cathartic after having to try terrible overpriced generic coffee around the UCL Campus. I also had to try the almond croissant, I know I’ll regret the calories later but my taste buds are grateful.Overall, a must try 👌. Be weary of limited seating.
I had the avocado toast and it was packed with lots of avo and the latte was warming to my soul ☺️
I was in the area writing a review about Lambs Conduit Street for my blog and stopped off at Redemption Coffee for a cappuccino and iced cinnamon bun - lovely!!! I Sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Happy days!
A social business with great intentions and visions. Set aside its virtue, their coffee is excellent, one of the best I’ve had in London. Portion of milk was just right that it smoothen the espresso while still able to retain the beans’ flavour.Chocolate babka was equally impressive, both visually and flavour wise.Hard to find a cafe with both decent coffee and food, will return again.
Go!! A really, genuinely lovely café with excellent coffee and a mouthwatering collections of cakes. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Great service, great cakes and great coffee. What are you waiting for?!
Fresh coffee with a touch, Id say. Although the prices are slightly higher than the average ones, the smell and the taste of coffee is complementing that.Nice to pop-in after a weekend walk around Coals Drop.
One of the best coffee I’ve had in my life. Perfectly brewed. Besides, super friendly staff.
3 minutes walk from great ormond st hospital. A third up lambs conduit st is where you will find this amazing coffee shop. Had the oat milk latte. Sour notes full bodied beans. The shop sells pastries and home brewing equipment. Shop is very bright and clean. Recommend if you want your daily caffeine hit.
I love that coffee can be decent quality and serve the community. The efforts these guys out into helping offenders through coffee is brilliant and the coffee shop , which has recently undergone a renovation, is well-managed, friendly and efficient. Simple but tasty toasted sandwiches are great, as are the drinks which have noticeably improved - just dont expect top quality speciality coffee.
Scandi-looking cafe with choices of good coffee and some delectable sweet treats. I particularly love the Moroccan honey cake. While the food and drink is good, this is not your ordinary coffee shop/roaster. The name sake reflects the social purpose of the company to train offenders in the coffee industry skills to reduce the reoffenders. Coffee with a purpose, I’d say.
I had a filter coffee here today which was so good and the guy behind the counter recommended an amazing vegan blueberry sourdour muffin which I loved. All of this was made even better because the man serving was so kind and so friendly, a really genuine good guy who brightened mine and my friends afternoon with his warmth. They seem very community focused and have great ethics as a company which makes it all even more great. Definitely a place to remember to return to.
Where to go get the *drop* (ahem... ......on the other coffee houses on a Sunday morning.Opens before the other places around coal drops yard - so you can walk smugly by the jealous mummies with a steaming cup o’ joe in your hands.
One of the best coffees I’ve been to in London, they are special for their story behind their coffee as they are being processed and roasted behind bars
Popular, cosy café with excellent service and amazing coffee. Highly recommended!
A great local espresso shop with fancy pastries and sandwiches (thinks ham and cheese croissants and things with avocado on them). I’ve had the croissants and muffins and they’re both very good. The coffee is the main event, and it doesn’t disappoint. That said, the best part of the place is the people. This is a social business that roasts its coffee in Aylesbury prison, teaching young offenders new skills to toast and become baristas. This place is not only full of great food, they’re giving back to our community, so please support them!
Tucked away in Coal Drops at the back of Kings Cross & St. Pancras is a beautifully rustic venue for the coffee roaster and shop with morals. With a solid coffee shop food menu and there own beans this is a great 3rd wave hideout.
Very nice cafe to have a quick coffee and a snack. i had v60 coffee and a cinnamon desert which costed 10 pounds per person. Staff is very friendly but the service is a bit slow. Would have been nicer if they had more sofas in the cafe but overall it is a five star place.
Not only Redeption Roasters serves high quality coffee, but it also has amazing food: ex. avocado toast with the crispiest bacon ever <3 or huge blueberry and cocoa muffins. The waiter was quick a friendly, which is always welcome!Additionally, the place is part of an initiative to reintegrate former convicts through their training in coffee roasting and barista tecniques, so as to ensure their professional prospects once free. Great CSR policy!
I loved this cafe! Its a perfect place to have a coffee and a bite with a friend- quiet, cosy, and with friendly service. Their story is quite unique too, you can find it on their website. The coffee had a bit of a sour aftertaste, which isnt my preference, but the avocado bread was filling and really good. Its not for big groups, mostly 2-person tables, and fits about 12-14 inside? Will definitely be going back :)
