Redemption Roasters - Coffee shop in Ranot, Thailand
had great nutty coffee and a good time with the music selection.
The place just wants to make money not good coffee. The service was mediocre and the coffee cold, tasteless and expensive..
Nice place to have some coffee ☕. But its too expensive for just a small cup of coffee ☕.
Can’t speak to their coffee since I haven’t had it yet but their cookie dough brownie was to die for. Excited to come back for the coffee. Also love the concept !Edit: came back for coffee also great. But the cookie dough brownie still takes the cake.
Crowded place with loud music. Coffee and pastries are great, but for the price it would be nice to not have to drink from a paper cup on a dirty table.
We just happened upon this place whilst exploring Coal drops yard and so we thought we’d give it a go, The cappuccino was upwards of £3.70, served in a paper cup for sit in (WHY?!and very average. I understand that the concept of the café is supposed to be somewhat charitable but if you’re charging that price for a coffee then it should at least be good. In terms of the café itself there is very little seating and everybody was crowding around the till to order and it was chaos because they were shouting out orders and nobody knew who ordered what… Staff seemed lost - a little bit disappointing. Not sure I would go back.
I met a friend there to get some coffees and cake slices (lemon &poppy seed cake). Everything was very good.Good ambiance and the weather allowed us to stay at the tables outside. I recommend.
My favourite coffee shop in central London. I go out of my way to stop off here for a flat white and an almond croissant!
Friendly staff and good quality coffee served in a small outlet. The background of how the business operates is highly commendable. Would go there again.
Good coffee, I had a cappuccino and I thought the price in relation to the quality/taste was very fair! The place is a bit crammed up and i felt very much in the way whilst waiting, but the workers were very friendly, so it was all good. The almond croissant was very, very TASTY! Cool location.
Really nice small coffee shop. It can get quite busy and packed inside, but there are plenty of seating options around the area,
Got an iced dirty chai latte for 6£... The fact that the price is this high is a different topic. Yall should teach the baristas how to make a chai, as this was BY FAR the worst one Ive had. Stopped drinking it after first sip... Gave my partner to test and she agreed. Ive had some pretty bad chai lattes in my life but this one is the worst. Horrible aftertaste, too strong perhaps? Not an expert, but maybe you guys should drink it yourselves. My partner got an iced oat latte. 4.5£ - Too expensive for something thats 95% warm oatmilk, one shot of espresso and two ice cubes. Fine, Ill pay for the plastic cupIm all about millennials and the culture, but this experience felt like a big waste of my good vibes. Boot, went straight to Gails after
Wonderful speciality coffee with lots of interesting options and a good cake selection. Also does iced coffee which was fantastic
Very good coffee, its a shame everything is served in take away cups
Best oat lat in London? Certainly best I’ve had, and I tried all the 4.5+ shops in the area. This tiny gem moves quickly, getting people in and out faster than you can say Starbucks. And the pastry options were exceptional - the kind of offering where you “have” to try one or FOMO. Go here!
Love this area and this place with its own idea behind :what about coffee it is amazing for sure.Sweets are present. That is great. Some of them you might like :)Selection of beans here is pretty rich for coffee lovers.Love it
Great cause and their beans are super but last few times the flat whites have been really poor. More like a latte. No strength at all. Not worth £4.10.
Angel -The coffee is good, food as well but let’s be honest £9 for a small slide of bread and avocado on the top (without sideis clearly overpriced and really frustrating as the portion is so small even a kid will be still super hungry
Great coffee. I didnt have any pastries, but they do have quite some selection of pastries available.
Amazing coffee and love coal drops yard area
Nice little tucked away coffee shop. Coffee was also (in my opinionworth the price £3.30 for a flat white (June 2022), much better than prets foul tasting offering. But taste is all personal preference. Cakes are delicious as well.
Small coffee shop where you can get quality coffee. Few tables inside but mainly to take away. There are few options available for a quick bite. The cappuccino is good and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful.
Coffee is good.Price are slightly higher than average.Service is just bad, not attentive, dismissive and even managed to (accidentallypour water on my t-shirt, say bland "sorry" and do nothing. I was quite shocked by this behaviour.Just another hyped up place with good product but not matching service quality.
Saw James Hoffman here the other day which made the coffee experience even more amazing. One of the best Coffee I have ever had.
what a lovely place with lovely coffee! vibes are so happy! v friendly staff (who seem to have a repertoire of coffee-related songs they sing while making their flat whites). milk alternatives don’t curdle. lemon cucumber water on tap. nicely decorated space- feels airy despite being on the small side. sun comes streaming in through big doors and lovely coal drops yard window. :)the music is quite loud and playlist goes from the smiths to abba gold in one fell swoop, but that’s an atmosphere i can get behindand a few options of vegan cakes (cinnamon bun, peanut butter blonde). just wish they offered one or two vegan pastries
They charge iced oat latte for £4.5 and it tasted really awful - half warm, not enough ice, obviously too much oat for just one espresso. Had to wait longer than customers who ordered warm coffees after me and the guy made it in 1 sec by pouring half jar of the oat milk in a cup…Pret does a better job…I took a pic before throwing it away…
Went in for a meeting this morning as they were open early, which was nice. Alas one member of staff had taken the table for six to do some work on her laptop so there were only two tables for two left. Great coffee but I guess they’re looking for takeouts…
One of my favourite coffee shops in London with an amazing concept behind it and at a great location.Love coming here as the atmosphere is always great, the coffee is delicious and the staff is always smiling, find time for a quick chat for you and genuinely care about your experience. If you’re like me and love the vibe of a busy coffee shop whilst getting lost in your work, this is a place for you. I found myself sitting here, sipping on my 7th cup if coffee after 6 hours of work not once. The staff are always nice and helpful and don’t mind you staying here. The beans they make coffee from are great; the pastries are a but spenny but delicious and I absolutely love the concept behind the cafe.Sometimes I bring my pup along who is always welcome inside. There is usually a bowl of water outside the cafe for your four legged friend.5* from both me and Bruno 🐶
Love the coffee here. However, while waiting for my coffee, the person in front and behind me got latte art while mine was just poured straight in like my coffee didn’t matter. Fairly dissatisfied with their service, it wasn’t even that busy.Update: met more baristas and their service has been consistently on point!
Interesting interior! Smashing coffee and wide range of pastries to go with your cuppa joe
Best coffee Ive had in a long time, and the Nutella conut has to be tried to be believed - its dangerously good!
First things first, Redemption Roasters oat milk latte is silky and full of flavour. Highly recommnded. While the amount of coffee you get for £3.80 is small, it is really good stuff. Beyond the coffee Redemption Roasters is more than just a catchy name, it is part of their mission. Redemption Roasters train law offenders in professional roastery and barista skills, roasting their coffee inside the walls of HMP the Mount. The Kings Cross location is small, cozy and nestled in the trendy Kings Cross Coal Yards. If you are looking to get your caffeine kicks from some premium beans with a mission, Redemption Roasters in your spot in Kings Cross.
First time to this place! Great environment, friendly staff and a good range of pastries to choose from.Tried something different which was the crodough, good texture and a nice treat. The coffee definitely helped to balance the sweetness of the crodough.I am not in the area often. When I am, I will definitely go back here for a coffee and a cheeky snack.
One of my new favorite coffee shops in London. Amazing coffee, really cool location and delicious sandwiches. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Nice coffee place. A bit crammed up but otherwise really lovely.Cozy interior and good pricing for coffees. Ordered a flat white and was nice. Also had the potato spinach filo pastry to go with it.They also offer complimentary was and have a lot of accessories for takeaway. The cakes looked good too.
Wonderful first experience at Redemption Roasters! I visited during one of my Saturday afternoon strolls and ordered a cappuccino and almond croissant 🥐. Both were excellent! The place was quite busy but I managed to find a seat outside. I totally recommend stopping by if around King’s Cross. I will definitely be back!
Great place to have coffee. They have a different coffee bean blends that are worth trying. And the vegan banana bread was so delicious. I am going here again.
Coffee and Hot Chocolate tasted fabulous! Unfortunately the cake and crodough we got were a bit stale but were tasty none the less.
Great coffee, amazing selection of pastries and sweet treats, friendly staff, and a really good cause to support.Plenty of seating inside, and tables outside mean you can enjoy your coffee in the sun on a good day.You can also buy bags of coffee to take away – all presented beautifully.
Good little coffee spot. High quality and selection of nice pastries, including cronuts (doughnut & crossiant!)
Really cute coffeeshop in Coal Drops Yard with great coffee! Bet it would be a lovely spot to sit in after browsing in CDY (I also really recommend the Canopy Market, nearby next to Waitrose, on the weekend when they reopenbut for now Im pleased theyre still open for takeaway! Love the ethics of the company, too.
Nice place to grab a coffee, although I had a hot chocolate. It’s a bit too bitter for my taste and there is no size selections - this is a bit too small for me.5 people in policy is welcomed in these social-distancing times☺️
Redemption Roaster is a great cafe in Coal Drops Yard - cozy seating, really friendly staff, and an amazing playlist. I would rate the food and the coffee a 3/5. I ordered one of their vegetarian sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella sandwiches. It was pretty filling. My friend had their Americano - Redemption Roasters would benefit from perhaps offering alternative coffee roasts. But the staff were exceptionally friendly and their good wifi makes it a great place to sit and study. This has warranted them a 4/5.
Lovely little coffee shop popular with the laptop crowd. Deliciously smooth filter coffee (tried Brazil), mouth-watering selection of vegan pastries (brownie mmmm), fine teas. 20Mbit WiFi, plenty seats, heart-warming attitude.
A great addition to Coal Drops Yard!! Great coffee tucked away on Lower Stable street. Redemption Roasters are a specialty coffee social enterprise. They run a coffee roastery and training centre inside Aylesbury Prison, where they teach coffee skills to young offenders, and support their employment on release.
Excellent coffee to be had here. They are slightly tucked away down the lower East side alley opposite the can shop and record shop. There is a reasonable amount of seating inside for a small establishment and they have a few tables outside. Gets a bit busy, so expect a line sometimes, but know that they get your order out reasonably quick once ordered. I had a cappuccino which was fairly priced and the correct size for a cappuccino. It was excellent and I would return should I want a coffee at the CDY.
Completely baffled by the series of excellent reviews. This has to be one of the worst cups of coffee I have had in my entire life. The beans were evidently not fresh and any sense of aroma or crema were non existent, as you can see from my photos. It was incredibly bitter, burnt and tart - a poor Americano all round. To make matters worse, the cup and saucer my coffee came in were dirty (see photo).
This place serves great coffee. The coffee beans I hadbeen there more than onceare a bit on the "light" side so better as a long black or a skinny milk coffee (at least that is what I preferred).Service was good and it had pently of seating inside and out. I didnt try the food so cant comment on that.
Perfect Americano and love the connection to their roastery in Aylesbury Prison (the UKs first behind bars roastery)!
Great little coffee shop in the new Coal Drops Yard development with a social purpose. The coffee here is delicious, and the pastries are yummy as well. This is a great space to meet up with a friend, there is a communal table as well as individual seats too.
