We went yesterday. We visited this town first time,we were just passing through the road when we noticed this restaurant. A decent size restaurant with seating area we orderd Lamb Mandi and Chicken Mandi after Saudia Arab I first time liked anywhere Mandi 😀 so delicious meat is well cooked so tasty 😋•Affordable price•Toilet facilities available•Can be easily park on road or side roads•Friendly staff and Counter ManagerI definitely recommend this to any Mandi lover
MoreWow. Simply delicious! Got the vegetarian variety with injera and the shirro wot - bursting with flavour and freshness.
MoreBest Yemeni Eritrean restaurant in West London
Excellent food in a cozy location. A great way to be introduced to a new cuisine.
MoreThis quickly became my favourite restaurant in London I grew up on this type of cuisines and the food is authentic and you can taste how much the chef loves making it, the vibes are amazing and most of the people there are always frequent costumers its that good! The service is great they’re so nice and accommodating. No words can describe how good this place is its definitely a must visit when in London! I brought my mother here and she said its better than her own cooking which says a lot about how incredible the food is! I always look forward to going back again
MoreI was here with friend and the food was very perfect with great service… the Mandi is the best …. Sure will come again when i am in town … BR
MoreLocal, delicious, I think authentic
Always good friendly service and fresh tasty food especially the chicken and lamb Mendi. This place has never let me down.
MoreGood food different flavoursFriendly staff
Mandi lamb wasnt bad though, Dont expect the Yemeni food you get in famous restaurants in Dubai, Yemen or New York.Good to try Anjira the famous Eritrean Ethiopian dish and Yemeni Mandi lamb or chicken.
MoreOrdered takeaway, meat was underdone, rice was overcooked, rubbish seasoning, really disappointed, the food used to be so good
MoreWe Ordered delivery, meat was underdone, rice was overcooked, a bit disappointed, the food used to be so good. Hope he will enhance his services
MoreWe had the most incredible Abyssinian meal at the Red Sea. The food was absolutely delicious! We were a party of 12 with lots of energetic kids and the restaurant owners took wonderful care of us and helped keep the kids entertained! Thank you for a brilliant birthday feast. This is now officially my favourite London restaurant!
MoreVery good selection of middle Eastern seafood dishes,Prices are goodStaff are so nice and helpful
MoreWhat an amazing place for a delightful meal. We stayed on the Yemeni dishes, which were all excellent. Next time, well probably explore the Ethiopian / Eritrean options, as weve heard very good things about those.
MoreIt was one of the worst place I have been for very long time, the food is bland, the portion is too small, the service was so delayed. I remember when this restaurant opened for the first time they had delicious food and the portion was great for average person. So i was so excited when a friend suggested to go there. I rather you add more money and flavour than serving nothing on the plate
MoreThe food is delicious and well priced. I absolutely recommend it.
Wow 👌 that was wonderful, meat is tender 🍚 nice just the way I 😋
BEST RESTAURANT EVER! Outstanding food, excellent and warm customer service. The meat was soft and falling off the bone, just perfection.
MoreFirst foray into African cuisine, really enjoyed it! Great experience and won’t be my last! Took the servers recommendation of Awaze Tibs server on Injera, delicious and a great intro to Ethiopian flavours.
Morequaint dining experience with lovely staff and humble interiors. we had the large mixed plate, with bread (pancake), hummus and fatoush. all very flavoursome. I would critique the hummus to be a little too creamy and lumpy, and the lamb chunks were not tender, however the flavour made up for it. I would recommend this place a visit for a unique taste of Eritrean and Ethiopian food! delicious 😋
MoreI love Eritrean kitchen and this place is just the top One. Everything is perfect, food, quality, service, prices, atmosphere!! It just feels like heaven. Highly recommended.
MoreStarting off with the service; approached upon entry and welcomed us in enquiring how many persons for the meal and seated us accordingly. Provided us with menus and made a number of recommendations upon request. Explained what was on the menu when asked. The portions were great. The rice was fragrant, the meat was soft and pretty much falling off the bone. Food tasted fresh and full of flavour. Ordered lemon juice/lime juice. Absolutely delicious and complimentary to the meal! By far the best restaurant Ive visited in the past few years! Highly recommend.
MoreLoved the place. Outstanding food quality and quantity was more than enough (had to take away the leftovers). Not an expert on Eritrean food but it tasted heaven sent.
MoreExcellent food. The staff is really nice and helpful. This is one place you have to go if you are near shepherd bush. We ordered tibs (lamband bamia (okra with tomatowith injera (Ethiopian bread). Everything was delicious and a lot of fosod. We are really good eaters and we couldn’t finish it all. Next time we want to try the Red Sea share platter. Totally recommendable.
MoreEntered the restaurant by chance as it was open until late, really loved the food, had a chicken Shish kebab with rice and salad which was so tasty! Really liked the blend of spices used!
MoreSat down for a meal here recently. The place is anything but pretentious but it is very clean, prices are reasonable and food very tasty. They also have fresh fruit drinks. Staff very friendly as well. Would highly recommend to anyone.
MoreExcellent food. Very good service. Value for money. The place is clean. I would highly recommend it. We had Red Sea Special Large, a big platter, seven mix abyssinian dishes, enough for four people. For dessert, we had Masoub (banana bread mash). All in all, it was a complete deli.
More5 stars for taste. However, - 2 stars because the 16 GBP Deri Fitfit came with a single small chicken leg (16 pound chicken dish that had one small leg!). -2 stars because that one small chicken leg was undercooked. Very disappointing and strange experience.
MoreThe quality of the food is not as expectedI ordered Haneeth and they gave me Bormah. The test was not wow, it is normal
MoreI ordered via Deliveroo, the Large Red Sea Special Dish which has a mix of seven dishes. Everything was really good! The injera was the best injera Ive had - perfect tangy flavour. Hopefully will try dining inside the restaurant when all opens up. Well done 👏
MoreCelebrated my PhD last night in this great restaurant. happy to tell that it was a incredible evening and the place was clearly one of the reasons for that strong celebration. The stuff participated in a lovely way, the cuisine was very good and my buddies were so overjoyed. We shall definitely return for more joyful events. Thank you very much
MoreI have been here a few times years ago when I lived in Shepherds Bush. Today we picked up some takeaway food. It was even more delicious than I remember! The staff are very friendly and helpful on the phone and at the counter. Guessing it is probably still a family-owned business. We ordered a small Red Sea Special platter and a side of Lamb Fitfit (lamb chunks, chili, tomato and injera). The packaging for the special platter was excellently done. Small containers for each of the different meat dishes, rice and salad. Then a plastic container for the chicken and egg, and a separate container for the vegeables including lentils, carrots, beans, spinach and potatoes. We received 3 full injera which was very generous. We had a delicious and flavourful lunch and cant wait to eat the perfectly spiced leftovers for dinner! Very large portions too so great value for money. Thanks for making our Sunday!
MoreReally enjoyed my meal, taste like it was made in someone’s home. Flavours were on point 10/10. I’ve been here a few times and it’s consistently good.
MoreExcellent food and great service. The large Red Sea platter has it all....brilliant! We will definitely be back.
MorePopped in while passing one lunchtime. The gentleman (owner?was so friendly. Made me a Yemeni dish of lamb and aubergines with a homemade chilli sauce. Amazing food and lovely staff. I will definitely be going again, quite possibly this week.
MoreThis has literally become my favourite restaurant in London. The food is genuinely the best Ive had, and the atmosphere is friendly and cosy.Has my full recommendation.
MorePortions are a bit scarce even for a budget price; not the best Ethiopian food I’ve had. The Yemeni menu doesn’t seem any attractive, however the service and the staff were just brilliant!
MoreBeautiful food, very delicious. Huge portions had to request a take away box for the rest as I was too full. Salta was soo nice and the lime drink took me back to Yemen
Moreinteresting Ethiopian food, sharing Abyssinian platter large is very good, do have mint yogurt on the side with banana bread. really enjoy jug of black coffee with popcorn to end the meal. this is one of my favourite restaurants. charming service. good value.
MoreThis place is definitely one of Shepherds Bush’s hidden gems. Me and my friends went here last night and the food was amazing at such great prices and the staff really knew how to deliver a great customer service. This restaurant also does occasions for those who need a catering service for weddings, functions, parties, etc. They also catered for our managers leaving do a month ago and everyone still talks about the food up until this day.
MoreWe visited from the local art college for our Christmas do and from the start to the end the staff and management were so effective and welcoming. We had a large table and all of dishes arrived at the same time, was fresh and super tasty. We had an authentic experience and we will be visiting again.😍😍
MoreReally nice food and big portions, got the vegetarian platter
Incrediblly delicious, extremely tasty food.... good prices .. Furthermore friendly and pleased staff and its HALAL for Muslims
MoreThey really take care of their food, all well prepared and cooked, rather than rushing it. Friendly nice owner. Will go again, next time try the veg one like this.
MoreThe nan and hummus is amaaazing! Then tried the Red Sea special which was big enough to share between 4 people.
MoreFound this place randomly while driving by and we went for my birthday and then again 3 days later! Got the red sea special w meat (20£ for 21st time and then the veg option red sea special the 2nd time at 16£ for 2 people! Great price & lovely food! Must try their mint lemonade! So nice and refreshing!
Moreone of the best restaurants in London, the food taste is very unique. especially the Abyssinian dishes they are very tasty and you need also to try the Yemeni food especially the Lamb Mandi wowo its mouth watering the meat is so soft and melts in your mouth.while walking by, the smell instantly attracted me .and the staff are very friendly and kind i was really surprised to find a person was giving a bad review on Red sea as there is nothing negative about the restaurant.i really recommend trying the food there!
MoreNice service but the food was subpar. I ordered Chicken Mandi and it was basically coloured rice and chicken that is boiled then lightly baked to give it some colour (there was no trace of spices that make rice&chicken a mandi!). The lentil soup was great. I guess Chicken Mandi was not their best dish although it was on the top of the menu.
MoreVery nice Yamani and Ethiopian food reasonably priced
