This basic option in a strip mall offers an extensive range of familiar Chinese fare, plus delivery.
Recommended from a previous co-worker. We ordered Chicken stir fry, Vietnamese egg rolls, fried rice . The food was served fresh and hot. Lots of food for your money.
The owners are Khmer. Order off the Cambodian menu! You will be glad you did!
I had delivery and honestly this was the worst food ive had in my life, we got the sesame chicken and it tasted like bitter orange chicken. one bite chicken tasted old and i couldnt even finish one piece. the rice was crunchy and inedible. the wontons we got were the only saving grace because even a 5 year old cant mess that up we only got half the order but that probably saved me a hospital trip. they should be embarrassed to even have a restaurant open, and even more embarrassed to think this food can be served to a dog. if you order from the area just do like any other place
Best Chinese food Im the area. Way better than PF Changs. Just great always hot and served fresh.
Tried to place one order for takeout. Was put on hold for 10 minutes. Hang up and called again. Then I was able to place the order. I think they forget to return when they put someone on hold.
I would give it zero stars if possible. Worst food ever and overpriced. Nothing is authentic about the food!!
The prices have gone way up but the quality of food is gone way down. The egg foo youngWas tasteless and chewyAndDid notAppear to be fresh
Delicious! Just had their Mongolian beef and cream cheese puffs (some places call it cream cheese wontons). Highly recommend.
Best Chinese around. Like really the best. the egg rolls are the best and the chicken pad Thai
Large portions and great tasting food. The lunch special is such a great value (soup, appetizer, rice or noodle and can of pop)
Great lunch special — $15 for soup, egg roll, fried rice, & an entree (I’ve gotten seasame chicken and lo mein before. I recommend both).
Great local place in easily accessible strip mall.About 1/3 full when we arrived between 6;30-7:00. Counter staff was masked but waiter was not during our entire visit.Bill for 4 entrees and 1 appetizer was $75 before tip. Items ordered were, Hunan Triple Crown, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, Chicken and Lemongrass and appetizer was cream cheese wontons.Appetizer was excellent, very crispy. Better than weve had in other places.3 out of 4 of us brought enough food home for at least one additional meal.4 of 5 stars as one entree was only slightly warm when arrived at the table.
METAL IN MY FOOD. DO NOT EAT HERE. My Lo Mein had a SHARP piece of metal in it. I started chewing and it cut the roof of my mouth and gums. If I had swallowed this, I would be in the hospital. This place should be shut down.
Ordered here for the first time last week. All dishes was on the salty side and lacked veggys. hope they read reviews and understand to check on how it masde and cooked. When Panda expresses chiken kung pao has taste better and has more veggys somehting not right.
I ordered chicken chow mine , thinking I would get noodles and chicken ( that’s how you describe a chow mine in most of the placesbut instead got white rice and chicken. I found it later from the menu. It was my mistake I should have ordered lo mein instead. But please change the menu as it may sound confusing to the customers, I didn’t like the taste of what I got. I live far from the restaurant so didn’t wanted to come again for the new order.
The food was subpar at best, the service was the worst I have experienced. 1 star was almost too generous. Not recommended at all
Great value, lots of food for leftovers, and fantastic service! We have a go-to Chinese place!
Food is fine, like any other Vietnamese restaurant. However, they only provide one teeny pint box of white rice for every TWO meals! Four adults with full-size entrees and hardly any rice for our meals. Very disappointing.
The combination lunch is wonderful, this is a very good restaurant. Great food, service, and price. Good job.
Outstanding like always!!!!....😋🥰😋🥰😋
I LOVE this place. Weve been going for a few years. The pho is phenomenal. Pad thai and sesame chicken are other favorites. Plus the service is always quick! Ive never waited more than 20 minutes for takeout.
Came back after 2 years and I have to say Id still keep it 5 stars not only because of the food but the server. We stayed for about 2.5 hours eating and catching up.Watched this server handle 9 parties during our time there AND take care of online and takeout order by themselves.Somebody give them a raise. Never complained always came back refilling our water and our asks.Keep that level of service and youll be in good hands.
I called in an order that was to be ready in 15 min. Upon my arrival, they couldnt find my order but they apologized profusely and in 10 minutes, I was out of there with hot food. Very delicious. I appreciated their efforts to correct the error.
I was there on Saturday with my little family. The service was nice, my waiter was kind too. He suggested the chicken with ginger but I got the pho which was really good also. I got the chicken ginger today and I have to say, tastes just like how my momma makes it. Chicken with ginger is really good, spicy but delicious! Thank you! Definitely recommend, will try all the other Cambodian food there soon!
Its wasnt the best experience but alot of food for the price 😏
It has been awhile since I last stepped into this restaurant. Looks like there is a change of ownership. It looks like it is now run by a Hispanic family. I very pleased with the quality and portion size. I ordered walleye in black bean sauce and five spice calamari. Both dishes done perfectly. Good value and attentive service.
Fast, fresh hot food. Chow fun, Vietnamese egg rolls and cream cheese puff are our family meal. The combo specials are a great deal.
Pretty tasty. The menus is large and kinda overwhelming.
Weve changed our rating! Extremely overpriced. Were a family of 3. 2 orders of orange chicken, 1 sweet & sour chicken, 2 pork fried rice and cream cheese puffs........standard pickup order. After we asked for the total we were hung up on and we called back. It came to $98.00!!! Weve eaten here many times in the last 8 years but prices are skyrocketing. We now order from China Garden. 1/2 the price and they are a kind family with great service!
food was so good! very flavorful, and I liked how the meals had a lot of vegetables in them. Also, the workers were very nice. Will definitely return :)
Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant is my hands down choice for Chinese cuisine.I love their egg foo young covered in a rich dark sauce subtly seasoned with nutmeg and cinnamon - the best Ive tasted anywhere. The fried rice is delicious as well. Casual environment. Friendly service. Spotless.
This restaurant has been in Richfield for well over 20 years. It is my go to Chinese food establishment. The food is great and the service reliably great as well. If you are still leery of eating in, I recommend that you order take-out. You wont be sorry.
We had a great time there. The portions are huge and you can tell that they take their time and cook it right. The dine in option is now open too. With good quality food that you really get your moneys worth!!!
Ordered the ginger chicken, fried rice, and (appetizerbeef sticks. Delicious, and would absolutely order again! We ordered pickup on the phone since we try to do that as much as we can during pandemic (and generallyso restaurants don’t lose such a huge cut to third party delivery services.
We have a party of 10 and the food were very pleasant! We love every single dishes that we ordered. Definitely will come back here again!
Extensive menu, friendly service. The food was disappointing. The egg drop soup had been too thickened with corn starch and was very bland. I ordered the shrimp broccoli and the sauce was the same as the soup, thickened tasteless broth. Disappointed.
I live a couple blocks away and we order pretty often! I’ve tried a lot of the menu and haven’t been disappointed ever. Mix of “authentic” (AFAIKSE Asian and American Chinese classics. Sometimes they forget the sweet n sour with wontons but whatever. Another time my bubble tea the pearls seemed under done, but I’ve had plenty and usually great. Not a cheap place but not expensive either. Ingredients always seem fresh and quality too. Good service too!
Open on Xmas eve and Xmas.... but if you order, you won’t get your food. Called and placed an order at 5:07pm and was told 90 mins. Perfectly fine, they were busy. So I showed up at 6:50pm to pick up my order. The restaurant was FILLED with people who had been waiting over 2 hours for their food. Zero communication from staff. While I understand they were busy, they should have been honest about their wait times. We waited until 7:30pm to finally just leave. Oh, and considering there is this no indoor dining rule right now due to covid, everyone had to wait inside for their order thus resulting in 20+ people waiting in close quarters for their food for hours. I wasted over 2 hours of my time and could have just gotten food elsewhere.
My favorite local Asian restaurant. A bit pricier, but you get decent portion and good flavor. Also nice variety of dishes. The pho is not my favorite dish from here, but everything else Ive tried is good.
Their food is so good! This is officially my favorite Chinese restaurant! It is a bit on the pricey side but they give you large portions for the money you spend! I will definitely keep coming back here! Keep up the good work!
I just got a Door Dash delivery of fried rice (goodand Beef Broccoli (awful! It was mostly broccoli and the broccoli was inedible. It was hard and I couldnt chew it up. I wont be trying this restaurant again because Id rather give all the other restaurants their chance.
Wish I could give this restaurant zero stars. We ordered, through door dash: Kung Pao Chicken and General Tsos chicken, egg rolls, and fried rice (as our side).Summary: The main dishes were terrible, the sides were alright, and ultimately ordering from the restaurant was a waste of money. If you would like more detail, please read on.I am surprised at the good reviews! And consequently, it is why we decided to order our dinner from this restaurant a few weeks ago. We will not be ordering anything from this location ever again. With so many other choices for American-Chinese food, it’s not worth taking a gamble that the Red Pepper might actually cook something worth eating.Pros: SidesThe fried rice was pretty good. There was flavor and the mix-ins were pretty standard. The egg rolls were a little greasy, but still crunchy. Crunchy was a pleasant surprise because we got it delivered - this was also very deceptive considering how the main courses turned out.Cons: Main DishesI ordered the Kung pao, thinking that it would be hard to screw up, but I was wrong. In the description it said that both dishes were spicy, but there was no spice. Zero. The chicken came breaded (not in the description), the texture was chewy/ fatty (like we got all the worst parts of the chickenor it was undercooked. The flavor was lackluster and mostly salty. My boyfriend ordered the General Tso’s. The chicken was slightly better, but not by much. The flavor was still pretty mediocre at best. The best part of the dish was the fact it had broccoli in it.Ultimately, I tried to eat some of my main course, mostly because it was extremely overpriced for the quality of food, but gave up and couldn’t eat anymore (got through about 4 bites). For those considering dining at this restaurant (or at least getting it deliveredI would 100 percent recommend Leanne Chin or Panda Express than ordering from here. At those fast food restaurants, the is at least dependable and has more flavor, better quality, and you get way more bang for your buck. If you are looking for something a little more middle priced, try Big Bowl.I was hoping to support a local business, but spending $50 on terrible cuisine is not worth it.
This place is a no frills hidden gem. Excellent service and a very reasonable lunch special that includes soda.
We went here for lunch. You are given a great deal of food for the $ off the lunch menu. We could have split a meal and still been full. Fried chicken wings were plump and juicy, but lacked flavor. My better have LOVED the noodles. (shes picky I had the sesame chicken, which was excellent. Service was a little slow. They seemed to only have two wait staff, who appeared to be multi-tasking in the back. It took a while to get boxes and our check. Otherwise, a pretty good experience.
A nice place to go with friends or loved ones. Great homestyle foods. I had the Seafood Noodle Bowl, nice portions and good flavor.
The food here is very good and flavorful. I have not been disappointed yet. Unfortunately the person we visited who lived nearby has moved so we may not be back here. The Red Pepper 🌶 is always very clean and neat. The portions are very generous so that I can get another meal out of it. I would suggest that everyone in your group get something different and share.
My Mom, my brother and I have been going here for years and years since I was a little kid! The owners almost always recognize my Mom and remember how often we used to come back when we lived in Richfield, not far from here. I love the service, generous portion sizes, extremely wide array of menu options that are available and the speed with which they make their food! It’s definitely our favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole Twin Cities! I often recommend people try this place and I hope if you’re reading this that you have or will soon, too!
Wow! Flavor explosion. Absolutely loved the food. Fresh and hot. Fairly quick. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend the shrimp cheese puffs and double cooked pork.
I have visited this place more than a dozen times. I always have a good experience. The place is very roomy and not too crowded for lunch. The lunch specials are affordable able taste good. The staff is very friendly and quick to help. I get pho here occasionally and I enjoy that as well.
Fast friendly service. Good food with a large menu. The lunch special is a lot of food for $8.95
