Old-school fixture for live music, refined American pub grub & craft brews in nostalgic surrounds.
After being out in the heat, the cool air was awesome. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. She brought me small samples of two beers when I couldnt decide. The Southern Star Octoberfest was so good! BUT THAT HONKY TONK BURGER! Wow! So freaking delicious! The crunchy bacon and jalapenos stayed crunchy til the last bite. Sweet potato fries were great and crunchy also! This is my Fourth trip there...will definitely be back!
A friend has invited and paid for brunch and twice theyve had a full house on Sundays. I especially enjoyed their House band which is a bit of country , blue grass and some rearranged classic gospel music. 4 musicians who are fantastic is that music is something you would care to enjoy. Great atmosphere et al.First come first serve so there may or not be a wait depending on your arrival time . Daisy is a very gracious and Good waitress. plus food was worth every penny!
I have been there in the past but theres so many places that I go to eat. I enjoy it there they have a small piece band. A lot of different kinds of beer and wine. And I will continue on going there.
The server and friendly and prompt but the amount of time it took to make the food was slow. We ordered a pizza and it seemed to be overcooked. The meat on the pizza seemed to be cooked fairly well but the crust was burnt black for about half of it, some of the toppings were burnt black, and it was exceptionally greasy. It had an okay taste but the pizza would flop and fold when trying to pick it up from being so greasy.Other foods may be better but I wouldnt recommend the pizza.
My rating is based off of their breakfast and Im certain thats not what they cater to. I will eventually show up for one of their live music performance and hopefully give it 4 stars or more!
Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. However, I did not feel the quality of my food was worth the price though. I had the pork carnita tacos and they were very greasy and a small portion. Not real sure I will be going back.
Over priced, burgers where typical, my bread was burnt, no sauce on the burgers when I request mayo it didnt come with the burger, and one piece of lettuce that was too hard to eat. Just wasnt good for the $17.00. Plus side the waitress was very nice and trying her best to fix the kitchen staff screw ups.
Amazing food, super friendly staff and great atmosphere!
If you hungry near Conroe TX, this place is a great choice for dinner.Fine dining merged with a traditional pub is a good way to describe this place. Healthy tap selection & wine list, and hard liquor is available. The pistachio crusted chicken was phenomenal and the Blackened salmon was fantastic. Drinks were well made.Wine list could be improved with the addition of more Texan vintages, but is decent.Service was fantastic. We will return - with pleasure.
Nice little bar with pleasant staff. I had the blackened salmon Nawlins. It comes with rice. Absolutely delicious. The sauce has a nice little spice to it. My husband had the pecan crusted chicken. It comes with a creamy sauce and mashed potatoes. Exquisite. Which one is better? Whichever youre in the mood for. They are both delicious in their own way. Enjoy!!
My husband and I are new to the Conroe area. We’ve been struggling to find a new brunch spot and thought Red Brick Tavern would be our new go-to. The first time we went was spectacular. Great drinks, food and bartender. However, our second visit was a let down. We walked to the bar and it wasn’t ready yet- a fact that the bartender alerted us to quite rudely. I understand that she wasn’t set up yet, but there’s a way to address customers. Without making them feel unwanted. And it’s really difficult to prepare your bar while you’re talking on your phone! Not sure if we’ll ever go back.
Great laid back spot for casual dining. Service was attentive and prompt, and the food was great. Good selection of craft brews on tap. Try the meatloaf, you wont be disappointed.
Very good food, nice cozy pub atmosphere. Had the blues burger, wife the Philly cheeses steak. Both good cooked well. Great service. Came after jury duty,we judged it exceptional!
Both my daughter and mine bun, was brunt...she got hers replaced, mine didnt see till later. All you can taste was burnt bread...not good. Asked for med. Cooked, we got well done....Cook lacking....Told them I had food allergies to onions, but it came out with it anyway...Waitress was really nice...that is the only reason you got a 2 Star.
Very small place, it was kinda warm inside but there were alot of ppl around. My husband and I enjoyed it all together. We ordered the skillet corn bread and pizza was yummy. Also had us a few mix drinks. Fun environment and Saturday night had a band. We will be back.
We enjoy The Red Brick Tavern. We shared the Memphis pulled pork pizza. Delicious! We also tried the cornbread. We also appreciate the family run business atmosphere.
Sadly our favorite spot has gone downhill as far as service goes. I guess its the new normal finding good help? I had them at 4 stars but after this last visit its barely a 2.
Nice place. Clean . Friendly staff. Although considering they werent busy it took a bit for our waitress to check on us. Never even got a 2nd round of drinks.
Service at the bar was good. Food was a little pricey but tasty. Live music started, solo acoustic, as we were leaving but we caught a song or two and had an extra drink. Good beers on tap. Good location.
Ive never really cared for this place much, be cause I found the service snobby and unfriendly. But, I had a great meal here last week. I had the bacon gorgonzola burger with sweet potato fries. It was delicious! The service was the best Ive ever had here. Lunch (sandwicheswith one hard cider was about $45.
Extremely bad service at the bar, which is where we were seated. We waited 45mins to order 2 pizzas, then waited another 45mins for our pizzas only to be told they hadnt even been made yet!!! But the guys who came in 30mins after us got their pizzas. We were then told all they could offer us was pulled pork sandwiches which were gross. We only accepted because we were hungry and thought they were on the house! Then they charged us for the sandwiches!!! I couldt believe the poor service and honestly feel like I deserve an apology...
Our breakfast tacos and grits were YUMMY.Only negative was the tortillas. Corn or at least a corn/wheat blend would have been more tasty and traditional for this item.
Incredible Burgers, impeccable service. Reasonable prices- way better than any pub in the woodlands! Worth the drive and downtown Conroe is a cute little getaway.
Ok place.Pros:Live music, laid-back vibe which is why we decided to check it out and have a few drinks.Waitress was friendly and prompt.Martini was good and I got the extra olives I asked for.Cons:Old Fashioned was not made correctly and bartender forgot the cherry. Her face and indignant attitude made it clear she was not happy about having to get the cherry. Husband and I separately noticed her attitude.Music was blah and the atmosphere was a little stale for a Saturday night. The bathroom stall’s door (not the handicapped onewas so close to the toilet I could hardly use it. I’m 5’2” so I can imagine it would almost be impossible for a taller female.Table was sticky.Probably won’t be back. Prefer Pacific Yard House for restaurant/bar/music venue in downtown Conroe. Bartenders there are great.
Just left the tavern and while the food and atmosphere was wonderful, I was extremely disappointed there wasn’t a high chair or changing table for my baby. The changing table, fine, I can deal with. I’ve been to other places that don’t provide them as well. I understand this isn’t a family-style restaurant but one high chair isn’t going to break the bank. Also the soap dispenser in the bathroom is completely out of place. It need to be moved up some. Perfect for my four year old but not so much for my 80 year old grandmother. Like I said, the food was great but not having a high chair made me drop two stars.
Great place for lunch! I had the Honky Tonk Burger and the Fritzy Leprechaun drink ☘️Service was excellent - thanks, Rachel!
As usual the experience was very good. I had the crawfish fettuccine and thought this would be two whole meals. But it was so delicious it turned into 1.5 meals. Service was good but a little slow, but they were really busy and seemed a little short staffed. Those girls were hustling. Will return.
Love this place! Best pizza I have had in years.
A pleasant-enough bar and grill. While the service was stellar, the food was “meh.” Their chicken quesadilla was, indeed, juicy chicken, but did not have very much cheese on it. And it came without sour cream or guacamole, which in my book is a mistake! The quesadilla had plenty of chicken, but, while certainly juicy, didn’t have any “fire” or spice to it. The chips and queso were okay, although the chips had a variation of consistency that made it appear to be old and new chips. We may come back again and try some of their other food, but this first trip doesn’t give us a lot of hope for the future.
We received courteous and prompt service when we arrived. Food was ready quickly. Oysters were supposed to be topped with bacon? There was no bacon and also the oysters were terribly greasy. The wings we asked to be extra crispy we found several to be undercooked. The French onion soup was flavorless. We did ask our undercooked chicken wings to not be charged to our bill and management refused which was disappointing but we paid knowing theyll never get our business again nor any of our families.
Awesome food. Pulled pork, nachos, cheese fries, chicken sandwich 🥪, and sweet fries🍟 were all delicious. Pizza 🍕looked and smelled amazing. Cold beers 🍻🍺. Live music🎸 was awesome. 👍🏻👍🏻🤩
We loved it here, the atmosphere was fun, the food was delicious, and the service was great. We highly recommend the Bob Marley pizza!
Went there for date night and had a good time. It was on a Monday and pretty quite, but not dull. Our server was wonderful.I had the BBQ chicken pizza and my wife had the shrimp and grits. We also ordered a pretzels as an appetizer and drank sweet tea.The food was really good, but not spectacular. The pizza tasted nice and fresh...I thought it was going to be a personal size pizza, but to my delight it was a full sized portion. My wife said the shrimp and grits were good, but seemed like it was missing something. The sweet tea was pretty good, too.We both said wed come again. Nice place, nice atmosphere, and good food.

We forgot to ask about a military discount, before she ran our card, but our server gave us a dessert to go to make up for it!!Nice place, nice atmosphere, and good food.
Had the tavern boudin links, they were solid and filling.Just moved from the midwest and this is the closest I have had to some Creole food in many years, Id give this more like a 3.5ish but it was definitely enjoyable.Waiter Aaron was the absolute best, will be here again.
Ive been a fan of RBT for about 6 years, but this visit changed that view. We arrive around 6 for a leisurely dinner with friends before the show at the Crighton. Our first disappointment was that they changed the menu to remove a couple of their signature dishes...the steak and the pork chops. I had the meatloaf, which was very good, but my wife had the chicken sandwich, which was almost inedible...tough as shoe leather. We were finishing up the main course when the server started removing our dishes...before O had a chance to finish up on the tasty collard greens. Then, the server brought the check without asking or offering dessert. When we questioned about the availability of dessert, the server had the audacity to say that we could have dessert, but there was quite a line of customers and they needed our table! She basically asked us to leave, abruptly ending our leisurely dinner unsatisfied. Definitely not the impression you want to make to anyone you want to come back to your restaurant. We are loyal local Conroe folks, but will definitely think twice!
Our waitress was amazing. She was very attentive and helped make our celebration so special. All of the staff was very friendly and engaged in convo with us (my husband is a talker). The food was amazing!! Definitely would go back! I had the Santa Fe chicken pasta and the fresh jalapenos made it have just enough kick. My husband had the Tejano burger and it was also delicious! Their beer queso was to die for and the cheesecake was amazing. If youre in downtown Conroe you definitely need to check this place out!!
This was my first time visit here and I will definitely be back. I went on mothers day and we had a wonderful time. Our waitress Ronni was amazing. She laughed with us, she cried with us and see blessed us. She is truly a beautiful soul and RBT is lucky to have her. Now the food was so delicious. I had the French toast and I wanted more!!! Half of the party had the shrimp and grits. I had a bite and it was heavenly. The bowl was deep and full or creamy grits. My sister, aunt and grandma had waffles and raved about them. RBT I will definitely be back. You have a new customer
And again, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! I have never been so enthusiastic to leave a 5-star review! I am in Conroe, vacationing on the lake for the 1st time & came to Red Brick Tavern based on its already high marks. But, the atmosphere, live music, friendly & prompt service exceeded my expectations. The food is so flavorful! I ordered the Drunken French Onion, the best Ive ever tasted.
Had an amazing dinner tonight celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary. Everyone there treated us like royalty and I think we found our new favorite date night spot. Delicious food and great music!
This place is awesome. The pizza is out of this world. The waitress Brittany was fantastic. Sweet and helpful. On top of things. Highly recommended. We will be back.
They had Thanksgiving menu. We said we didn’t want it. One of the owners made accommodations to serve pizza, salad, and soup from the regular menu. Friendly staff, and great hospitality. Food was delish. Pizza definitely hit the spot!
We are new to the area and wanted to try some gourmet pizza. We randomly selected this tavern and Im just going to say it might be the best pizza I have ever had! We ordered pepperoni and sausage pizza. The sausage was so flavorful. The entire pizza had such rich and deep flavors that complimented this pie superbly. We also tried the chips and queso. The queso was very good; definitely not velveeta. Additionally, We tried a large pretzel. It was tasty but a little heavy on the salt. The menu has something on it for everyone from tacos, unique brick oven pizzas (reasonably priced), pastas, and gourmet burgers. The tavern offers pretty much anything you might want to drink from a significant number if wines, beer and mixed drinks. This will definitely be high on my list to frequent in the very near future. I would highly recommend this little tavern!
Conroe would be incomplete without RBT. Definitely my favorite place to go. Great staff, professional, friendly, and good ole down home food with a modern twist. Beer & drinks are always fantastic, with a great selection. My favorite is the grits and or pizza with a good stout or negroni.
Had dinner on Wednesday at about 6pm we were sat right away and the food and drinks were delicious. We go here often and have had great experiences always.7/5/2020Love this place and always delicious food. Oh and live bands didn’t even realize I liked bluegrass until today.
Very laid back place. Good food and good music. And they have cauliflower pizza crust on request.
We love the atmosphere and everything about Red Brick! The chef came out and talked with us and created the very best pulled pork enchiladas as well as a brunch pizza. Excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere. We love to visit every time we are in the area.
Finally made it to the Red Brick Tavern...and loved it! It has a great atmosphere and the service was wonderful. I had the French Onion Soup and some cornbread - yum!!! It is a cozy, little place and it has live entertain some evenings - definitely plan to return for that. I will be going back and I hope to bring more friends.
My first time at this restaurant, but it will not be the last. The food was very good and unique. The band was setting up just as I was leaving, so thats even more to look forward to.
I have been this place year and a half before and today visited the second time. The draft beer, local beers, environment, cleanliness, quality of service, the taste and the quality of food and the freshness just combined with a smiling and happy welcoming crew members👍 it is in a historic neighborhood, with historical background. The menu is great and I just wanna write delicious delicious delicious here back to back like hundreds of times. Great cook, great servers, great people. Anytime Im passing by, I will be definitely stopping by to eat and have my schwarzbier. Great job everyone, please keep up the good work and the high quality, awesome place!!!
