Rech by Alain Ducasse - Seafood restaurant in Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Amazing food and equally awesome staff.
I was here because of a HSBC offerApart from Alain Ducasses chocolates, this restaurant still fail to impress after its renovation ( previously spoon). In fact, it became more pricey whilst food gone the other way.Ive had enough of ducasse, and will be reluctant to visit again.
Nice view
1 Michelin Star restaurant. Seafood platter is good. Service is excellent. The food portion is a bit more than expected. Maybe it has to fit with the HK people appetite.
Fine dining. Almost perfect food, great atmosphere, excellent service, pair with great wine with excellent sea view.
Really good restaurant with nice view. Very nice fine dining food.
Since being rebranded as a seafood restaurant (previously known as the Spoon), the menu improved and proposed better dishes with some very good surprises! All the mise-en-bouches are all very tasty and the bread is perfect (which is not easy in Hong Kong!). And as always, the wonderful view on Victoria Harbour never disappoints, great fine-dining option for couples <3
Tried the Rush to Rech menu for birthday meal. The surcharge for the steak with foie gras and cheese macaroni is totally worth it~
We tried the 5-course brunch and have to say service was the top while food was not a wow to me. I think it deserves one star but maybe just one star. We got 30% discount through its website and thus think the meal is worthwhile. If you pay full price, I would suggest somewhere else, such as those at Murray hotel...
Amazing restaurant and the view is great.
Great view of Victoria Harbor. Service was great! But dishes are not that exciting...
Thought the bread was great. The steak was also delicious.
Highly recommend for people who love seafood. Food is nice, staffs are nice and the view is nice too!
After attended by the receptionist, nobody attended us for 10 min. No menu no offering of drinks.....The selection of foods are limited. We ordered a plate of oyster (as seen by the attachment), one of them was spoiled & smelled like polluted water. Itβs TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE in a 5-Star hotel.Feedback was delivered to the waiter, however, no apology was extended to us. He just offered the replacement of another piece of oyster. I think the staff in this restaurant is really LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Nice food. Good service. And great view.
Lunch was good. Enjoyed the food with great seaview. 5 star hotel standard service, with room for improvement though. Overall a great place to chill or celebrate a special day.
The vibe, the view and service is great. But the food is just average. And there was a loud diner sitting behind us destroying the vibe of romance.
amazing
It used to be my favorite restaurant for years but experience of my recent visit was quite disappointing. Food was quite good but perhaps not living up to Alain Ducasseβs high standards. Whatβs most disappointing was the service level, not attentive & insufficient. Services were way behind its competitors in the same category. What hasnβt changed was the marvelous view of Victoria Harbour.
Great food served well, great view for light show in the evenings. Great linen too, staff were wonderful, glass of champagne was expensive but overall good value
Good food and nice view. And the shape of butter is so cute!
Very fancy and awesome location. Good good but small portions, cant go wrong with any fish dish. Staff is friendly, helped us out even though we didnt have a reservation
Excellent seafood choices. I recommend the line-caught turbot which comes with Hollandaise sauce on the side. The baked Alaska for dessert was very enjoyable.
I had an enjoyable evening at Rech and definitely the right choice to celebrate anniversary. I had visited Rech multiple times and everything had exceeded expectation: from ambience, food quality, taste, service and experience. The 3-course Rush to Rech dinner is of excellent value.
Great food and excellent service. Enjoyed our lunch here.
Food was ordinary and service was a bit slow and inattentive.
The service and food could be better, but the view is exceptional
Super filling ! Great details and interior! Worth more than one star π
The name "Rech" dates back to Paris in the 1920"s and is now under the careful watch of 21 Michelin Star winner Alain Ducasse and his creative team of chefs and knowledgeable, professional staff at the Intercontinental Hotel TST. .This is a French Seafood restaurant and is on the $$$ side, but you wont be disappointed on that special occasion. The view out across the expansive glass is of HK Island and there are very few places that can offer such an amazing, almost on the water view as Rech. The food is well presented with subtle touches that allows the seafood to be the star of the show and not hidden in heavy sauces and side dishes. Each dish has been carefully prepared and the staff really do have an intimate knowledge of what they are serving you.Like most high end restaurants, the wine list is extensive, with something for everyone. With the view and the food, this restaurant is an experience worth trying, if only once.
best french dining experience Ive had in HK
Premium location in TST, stunning view of the Victoria harbor, a cozy place to taste a very refined seafood menu in French style. A 5 courses lunch set, and combine with a breezing sunny day, that is marvelous.
Amazing dishes, perfect cooking skills, excellent ingredients
A dining experience of best in class friendly Manager and staffs that will win you over with exquisite food palette to delight your every taste buds. You get what you pay for and they dont disappoint.
We came here during restaurant week. Most people know this as Spoon by Alain Ducasse but the concept has now changed to a seafood restaurant. I must start by saying the service is top notch. The manager at Spoon used to be french, but intercon has now selected a gregarious local guy to be the manager, which I think is the right choice. The decor has a lot of attention to detail, and apparently even the pebbles as decorations on the table are from Normandy. Food wise, as we came during restaurant week we didnt get to try the freshest seafood, but I really liked the crab mango salad and the oysters that we had at the beginning. The fish main dish itself wasnt that fresh, but again I suppose it is a matter of us having gotten the Rush to rech menu.
Food is Very very delicately done. Superb service. The atmosphere is a bit odd and too quiet.
Great service, good food, fantastic view. And not as expensive as it looks.
We were ending a two week trip and decided to have our last meal be extra special, we were not disappointed. We went with the cheif signature menu and wine pairing. Everything was excellent!!! The staff was so attentive, we felt excessively spoiled by it. Plus the view of the harbor as we went from sunset to night time was also a treat that added to the whole experience. Could have been happier.
This restaurant used to be called "Spoon", which was a prominent restaurant in serving contemporary cuisine. I was here a while back and found it quite amusing. But it was long overdue for a refurbishment. So once and for be all they gave new decor, name and theme to the restaurant, seafood to be precise. The oyster is fresh but I cant say its supreme quality, at least comes a bit short when compared to what can be found across the street. Starters and main are abundant in flavors and full of surprises, just as another Michelin starred chain which I strongly incline to and familiar with. The highlight is the lobster souffle, interesting combination and actually convincing.Regretfully speaking, even though they are doing a good job, if you are looking for a fine dining place with seafood theme, I would say The Ocean marginally win due to their outstanding and unique technique, as well as the unbeatable seaside location.Still, with the cozy vibe, great service and benchmark of the chain, I definitely agree that this restaurant holds a special place and worth a visit.
Superb french seafood restaurant. Fresh and cooked with passion. The blue lobsters are also in season in summer and are cooked perfectly.
A pleasant night spent at Rech! John Dory was very good! Apricot soufflΓ© was also a pleasant surprise! An enjoyable dinner!
Excellent food and service. The view of the harbour at night was beautiful as well.
The food was good, but the service should significantly improve. They charged us double of what initially claimed. With main dish they served 2014 red wine which would never happen in French restaurant in France. Wine was still young. Alain Ducasse is a world famous chef, but the franchise he is running in Hong Kong is below the standard he provides in Paris.
Enjoyed a birthday dinner celebration for my sister with my family. Everything was spot on from the hospitality, decor and furniture, to dinner service, with carefully crafted elements evocative of the sea.
Great venue nice vibe enjoyed the food
How amazing?! Good harbour view, meal & dessert taste goodππ»ππ»ππ»! Excellent π
The only branch of the popular Parisian seafood restaurant by Alain Ducasse calls Intercontinental Hotel in Hong Kong home. We just had to taste test this venue while we were in town. The smart casual setting made references to the seaside with white walls, light wood and ornaments of pebbles and rocks. Its decor and menu reminded of the Paris venue. The harborside location and unblocked views of Hong Kong Islands skyline brought the water to the restaurant. We also enjoyed views of passing ships and the 8pm Symphony of Lights. The ambiance is relaxed and romantic as the sun went down. The kitchen was led by Executive Chef Stephane Gortina. We ordered several appetizers, signature mains and desserts to share. We enjoyed slurping on plump and succulent oysters flown in from Brittany. The langostine ravioli rested in a fragrant and seafood sweet broth. The browned sole, deboned at the table, was fresh and served simply with salted butter and baby potatoes. The Grenobloise style skate wore a salty fried coat over tender flesh that pulled apart easily with a fork. The pastry creations by Pastry Chef Francois Delaire were as delicious as they were eye catching. We were amazed by the grande eclairs, and every spoon of Mr Rech delivered hazelnut, cream and chocolate goodness. We would like to thank Alexander Cufley and his team for their fine dining standard service and attention to details throughout our meal.It was an enjoyable dinner of tasty creations inspired by fresh ingredients from Brittany, and delivered with impeccable service.
Sunday Brunch with wine pairing was an absolute steal for the price. Intercontinental has amazing Harbour views. I love Rechs sea theme and decor. Ambience was superb, attentive service with lots of smiles. Overall was a great experience ~ I highly recommend the place. ππ»
Nothing to complaint with the environment, food quality and price! If you like French food, you will love this! You cant say the price is high when you find the restaurant inside Intercontinental Hotel with Victoria Harbour view with an affordable price!
Good service!!! Beyond expectation!!! Stunning seaview and great food. Highly recommended.
Beautiful decor and location with nice view. Food was nicely presented and very good.
