Local chain with New Orleans flavor serving bayou-inspired fare in a festive setting.
This place was awesome great food and better service my waiter was Brian and he was great!!!
Jackson was the best server and bartender I have had in a long time! Never been to Razzoos before but I will 100% be going back now!!
Nikki was an amazing waitress and I cant wait to come back and see her again
Good food, good drinks and better service from Bria! Definitely going back and asking for her
We had an awesome and kind waitress Bria Brazier. Thank you for your awesome service!
We had the best food at Razzoos and our server Nikki was the best and recommended the stuffed shrimp which was awesome.
The food was so great, great experience our server Bria Brazier was very excellent she met every need 😀
All I have to say is Brian was absolutely amazing! Very efficient and friendly. I could only wish every waiter was the way he is. Super fun and very personable! Coming from rotan to eat, well worth it! Thank you Brian!
Bria was our Waitress. She was amazing and fast on everything. She got our order correct. I will come back again and ask her to be our waitress.
Food was very good and wait staff were attentive and helpful.
Great food. Good lunch special prices. Friendly staff!
Great ambiance. The dishes are realy good and the music adds to the good mood and experience. Well definitely going back for more.
Staff was awesome. Laid back atmosphere. Food was great. Decent prices. Nice to have a Cajun option this far from Louisiana!
My family came here to eat last night and experienced something for the first time! My youngest has a few allergies (dairy, egg and soyso we are used to just getting him fries and grilled chicken. But he loves shrimp so we asked if they could do grilled shrimp for the kids popcorn shrimp but no butter when cooking. We were told it wouldnt be an issue. After a few minutes, the cook came out and personally talked to us to ensure she didnt have any issues with his allergies and went through each food and what allergies could be in them. We found out about my sons allergies 2 and a half years ago and we have NEVER had staff come talk to us about how they can help!He started doing his happy dance as soon as he took his first bite and cleaned his plate. We are a very happy family! Thank you so much yall, I just wish I caught everyones names!
It was alright. For the price I expected it to be a little more than I got.Things like salt & pepper shakers on table would of been nice.Crackers & lemons served with my oysters without having to ask for them would of been nice.
I went there for lunch had a great meal. I had the stuff fish plate. It was awesome, probably some of the best fish plate around Lubbock. The service was also great. From the waiter to the floor manager For asking how my meal was. Thank you Sabrina !
My fiancé and I just moved to Lubbock from Houston, TX. Maybe our standards are higher because we’ve been in the industry or maybe because we are treated differently back home. This establishment has so much potential to be 5 stars in my book. Sadly, Razzoo’s did not live up to our expectations. We arrived and sat down at a booth by the window. We waiting quite a while to be greeted by our server. He immediately asked if we were ready to order, never introducing himself, so we are still unsure of his name. After he took our food order, we never saw him again. He did not deliver our food himself, he did not check to see if our food came out as ordered, nor did he ask how the food came out. The next time we saw him, he simply placed the check on the table and walked away without saying a word. He did not consider offering dessert or boxes to take our leftovers. It is disheartening to see a restaurant with great food and terrible customer service. We ordered drinks, The Worm Burner and the Ragin’ Rita. They were phenomenal! We ordered Rat Toes as an appetizer, which were stuffed jalapeños with shrimp and crab, highly recommend. For our main course, we ordered the Stuffed Fish and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, both of which were very delicious. The lemon butter sauce over the tilapia was incredibly creamy and very flavorful, it really tied the whole dish together. The chicken filet on the sandwich was incredibly large for the price point. We were hoping to order Peach and Pecan Bread Pudding, but were discouraged when we were denied the opportunity to order dessert with our server.Unfortunately, this experience has tarnished Razzoo’s reputation for us, and we will not be returning to this establishment. For those who are interested in dining in, we would suggest carry out, and avoid Server: 2929.
First time here, I personally did not like it. The atmosphere was ok, awkardly quiet in there, no music. Very empty. However Our server was amazing and sweet. The fried pickles were delicious but other than that i will not be going back.
Was in town for student orientation at Texas Tech. Placed an online order and it “2 orders of Jambalaya Pasta” was ready when I arrived. But was disappointed as it didn’t taste as good as it does at other Razzoo’s locations such as Houston or Austin.
Got seated fast, had an attentive waitress and food came out on time and was great. It was easy to get to and get back on our journey.
Finally tried this place and it didnt disappoint. Food was great. I had the stuffed shrimp. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Blackened chicken and dirty rice. Meal was hot and tasty. Enjoyed the food and service.
Always my FIRST choice when visiting Lubbock. You better know that Ill be back
It was good I think it could had been better they had our order mix with anthor guest place one of our orders in front of a guy from the next table across from us it was sitting in front of the guy for a little while then picked it up and gave it to my boyfriend which I would had made anthor plate I thought it was odd .. Then my grandson cheese burgers look burnt my stuff shrimp was delicious 😋 I must say ..
I recommend this place.. its delicious! Great margarita
Absolutely delicious, we got the rat toes an they did not disappoint. Crab an shrimp stuffed jalapeño ... bomb. I got the tricky fish, my wife the stuffed fish. We had Absolutely no complaints. The tricky fish is blackened tilapia over dirty rice covered with crawfish etouffee. The stuffed fish was white fish stuffed with crab over white rice with a shrimp butter cream sauce. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sweet tea... as a Texan I am judgemental on any other states sweet tea but u have to say I forgot about my beer it was so good. Razzooz is a must try we cant wait to go back.
When I walked in I was immediately hit with a foul sewer odor that never left the entry area. I went at peak lunch time and they were not busy at all. The service was less than desirable. I could tell they only had two, maybe three, servers running all the tables. It was also obvious they were short staffed in the kitchen. The food was ok. I was hoping for more because Ive had Razzoos in other cities that was awesome, but it also wasnt during a personnel shortage due to covid. Im sad to say that my experience here was ok.
Our waitress was to attentive and my hush puppies or like out of the refrigerator but other than that it was okay
Food was tasty and served Hot... Plating was simple not too eye appealing nice quiet atmosphere prices decent for food being served... servers not to friendly or accommodating or didnt offer anything as far as it being my 1st time there but ohh well.... my 1st time there it was just ok
Yummy, fresh delicious food! I had the Cajun 2-way. Keep up the good work at this restaurant!
Cajun Fondue, Boudin Balls, plate #1 Stuffed Shrimp ,plate #2 Cajun Combo Skillet, plate #3 Grilled Alligator, @ Razzoos Cajun Cafe. Our server Ramiah was excellant and the food was great would definitely pull a repeat
We had Cajun fondue with crawfish, stuffed fish and jambalaya pasta. The fondue was good and crawfish tasted fresh. The stuffed fish was very well cooked and served with the beans. I didnt feel much of shrimp and crab meat in there. Jambalaya pasta was spicy and had good taste but still felt like missing a flavor. overall service was good and fast. Didnt have to wait for anything.
Down earth feel. Personable staff and relaxed environment. The food was great and prepared well. Definitely worth going back.
Really good restaurant really good service I would highly recommend eating here. The one is the fried pickles love them the second dish is the seafood platter absolutely excellent.
The stuffed shrimp with dirty rice is fantastic, a must try for all seafood lovers. Creamy, Cajun flavor, and a huge helping. Can be split between 2 for sure. Overall a pleasant experience. Our server Kevin was quite upbeat and attentive.
Very delicious food. My nephew was excited about trying the Gator tails. Very good spice mixture on the breading. We had the Stuffed Fish, Chicken Tchoupitoulas, and the Stuffed Shrimp. Our waitress Brie did an excellent job.
Started off with gator tails for an appetizer.Grilled gator with riceJambalaya pasta and breadAnd chicken strip basketFlavor is on pointPortions are big and fillingThe drinks were good included a gator punch, and some other Mason jar drink apologies for the misplace of that name. Overall great spot good music for the Cajun vibe going.
Appetizer- the fried pickles were great perfectly fried with Cajun seasonings in the ranch dip.Sea food platterFries- were over seasoned.Crawdad tails- tasted horribly gamey and old.Fried shrimp- tasted great.Corn- was extremely over seasonedFried catfish- worst catfish I’ve ever had, either undercooked or problem with oil.On the plus side the manager was quick and gave no issues with our concerns and comped us accordingly.
The food was great and service was friendly! All CDC recommendations were being enforced. I was going to take a picture of my Fried Shrimp PoBoy before I started eating because it looked amazing. But I was so eager to try it, I totally forgot. 🤷♂️ Once I picked it up, I couldnt put it down and this was the result. Gone in about 10 minutes or less. The Cajun fries were great too! Definitely recommend!
I grew up in South Louisiana and this definitely hits close to home. Great food, wonderful servers and a terrific atmosphere. I will be coming back and telling friends about this place!!
If you want Cajun food, Razzoo’s is the place. Fun atmosphere, loved reading the front of the menu, waitstaff and hostesses were friendly. I had the shrimp. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spices. Shared the fried green beans. Ordered the ranch dip, but got horseradish sauce instead. Waitress was quick to correct the error and brought the ranch right away. Will eat there again!
Excellent food and great ambiance. There are some off menu items that you can ask for. For example, fried oysters. They come in a basket or you can have them thrown in a po boy. Recommended for friends and or family gatherings. Bar area looks decent but didnt test it out. Maybe next time.
Jakob our waiter was kind and attentive. He was knowledgeable of the menu and was able to make suggestions. The food was well seasoned and came out in a timely manner. We had the fondue for our appetizer which was good. I had the bienville. The salmon, shrimp and mash potatoes were on point, however my sauce was broken but tasty. My partner had the zydeco pasta and he enjoyed it as well. My kids had the popcorn shrimp and chicken strips and they ate it all. I drank the Gator punch like it was water but quickly realized that it’s fruity, but packs a PUNCH. Though it was busy the service never faltered. To sum our experience....GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT DRINKS, WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE. We will be back, but without the kids so that I can have 2 GATOR PUNCHES next time! 😂😂😂
Best place to try some delicious gator tail.Great drinks and epic appetizers *(try the boudin ballswith decent prices, this is a great place to eat or even pregame. Also has a sports bar section to catch a game while you eat. Will come back as often as Im in town 😁
Great customer service! The waitress was very nice and honest. The food was okay. Being from New Orleans I can definitely say that its not authentic cajun. I would recommend only if you have not been to New Orleans, LA to eat.
The food and service was very good. Got the Cajun Combo Skillet along with two appetizers and had to take some food home. Dont ever have to take food to go. Food portions are big. Very good place to eat.
First time here and will definately be back!!!Awesome food - the crawfish fondue with garlic bread just melted in your mouth! I got the stuffed shrimp and my hubby got the Tricky Fish made with catfish. Ask for Angel as your waitress!!! She is fantastic with making suggestions and let us know about the upcoming crawfish fest in February!!! Loved the music and the atmosphere. Maybe need to add in more zydeco music to add more ambiance.....
I wouldnt say that Im a connoisseur of cajun food but I enjoyed Razzoos. The ambience is decent- they have very glossy big TV screens and happened to be playing the UT vs Iowa game, since I went to UT for undergrad this might have earned them an extra 1/2 star ;). We sat at the bar- a modern looking sleek U-shape right in the middle of the room, and you can watch the bartenders make the drinks. We got the stuffed shrimp, stuffed fish, a pasta dish, beers, and makers mark. The food is great, not life changing, but satisfactory, rich, and filling. The wait staff is very courteous, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed the menus (see picture); it has a lot of attitude. They have a large menu, drink menu, and their desserts looked pretty bomb (did not actually try though). Drinks were good; they do not skimp. Its a little bit on the pricey side for Lubbock but everything seems to be going up these days.
The food was absolutely phenomenal!! This place is great in everyway! The bartenders were super friendly and even though they were packed our food came out promptly. This is now one of my favorite restaurants and I will be back!
This is such a fun and unique restaurant. They stay pretty packed too- we waited a while for 2 people and ended up at the bar. But I really enjoy their étouffée- it has a delicious flavor. My daughter loves their fried pickles and catfish. They even have gator- but I’m sure it tastes like chicken.
