Rawnaissance Desserts in Louisville

Bought chocolate pie last Sunday and both my son and I were very sick. First stomach ache Ive had in years. Son could not finish his slice but unfortunate for me I finished it before feeling the pain and later constipation.

This place seriously blows my mind every time I go! So many wonderful creations to choose from, and you cant go wrong with any of em!

This specialty dessert shop offers a large selection of gelato including hazelnut chocolate with orange zest which I highly recommend. They also offer small batch chocolate bars, cakes, pies, and chocolate drinks. Very friendly staff. Seating is limited inside but there is some sidewalk seating which makes for excellent neighborhood people watching.

Best dessert I’ve had in a really long time. No questions asked. I have dietary restrictions and this was amazing for me. My husband doesn’t, he loves ice cream, and was really impressed at how much better his banana split was than any other he’s ever had. My pictures do not do the ice cream justice. The presentation was so awesome

Healthy desserts that taste so delicious as I could not taste the fact that the food was lacking dairy or egg.

DELICIOUS gelato in a yummy cone and equally delicious small dessert cups! The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Im so happy this place exists! Its impossible to find organic desserts let alone gluten free, raw, and non-GMO in this area. I will continue to be a repeat customer and really hope it stays in business because its so amazing and needed! Come try for yourself!!!

If you have dietary restrictions but enjoy great desserts, this is your place. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

Everything I’ve ever had here is amazing. Last we tried was the triple chocolate cake and I think it’s my new favorite! I order these cakes for every occasion, and even maybe make up some occasions for cake these days!

So many delicious treats!! Went for my birthday and my husband and I bought two different slices and both were SO amazing!! Most definitely worth the price! Quality ingredients and amazing taste usually equal a higher price, and this place is WORTH it!!

I went here looking for a good dessert but instead I got overpriced garbage 💕 It was very bad and they didn’t have any variety. I waited for 30 minutes and it wasn’t worth it. Before you go i think you should look anywhere else to go instead. Staff was very polite though :)

Clean establishment with eye appealing desserts that unfortunately fails to deliver when it comes to taste. We bought a sundae fudge, one slice of the cappuccino cake and a gelato which cost us $30. Just to put this in perspective heres a short list of other things I could have bought of equal value. A bottle of decent quality bourbon, a carton of cigarettes, a light but fulfilling meal at applebees or just fill half my tank with gas. In a time where the average worker makes $15/hr and inflation is off the roof it raises the question of what kind of people are giving this place 5 star reviews and where, if they have one, is the bar of standards. If you are a person that values money and desires some quality in the food you consume there is far better options.

I absolutely love this place! I found out about it through being a doordash driver. I am so glad I checked it out! I had a golden mylk latte and it was amazing.. the cheesecake was out of this world as well. I’ve tried so many flavors! It’s a hard tie between dreamcicle and lavender for me. So flavorful and satisfying.I have definitely driven my family and friends nuts constantly recommending this place, I’m sure.If I could give A MILLION stars I would!!!⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Amazing! I had heard good things but I was blown away by the flavors that Rawnaissance is able to put out. The Dreamsicle cake was more than I could have hoped for and captured the whole “summer’s sunny afternoon” feel perfectly. The dark raspberry cake had a smooth texture & stayed true to RAW flavors. I am excited to try their gelato once it get warmer

This is by far the best vegan gluten free dessert cake Ive had. It wasnt that expensive either! The cakes are super rich with a velvety texture and multiple great flavor combinations. They offer slices, small and large cake sizes for purchase. They also have a very large menu of other desserts too! I will go here for all my desserts from now on!!!

Got a few slices as a birthday present for myself. They were all sickly sweet, not worth $6.99 per slice imo. Id recommend trying a few slices instead of ordering a whole cake ($29.99so you save money and also know what youre going to get. I was very hopeful because of the reviews but aside from looking pretty, the taste isnt pleasant.

Amazing place for some sweet treats, whether or not you have dietary restrictions! They have an array of options for everyone. I had a piece of keto marbled chocolate cake and it was the best keto dessert Ive ever had. Also had the keto gelato, which is the best gelato Ive had PERIOD. Highly recommend this place to anyone whos got a sweet tooth.

Absolutely best bakery ever!! Tastiest gelato that you can’t go wrong with!! Every flavor I tried was creamy, rich and perfectly sweetened. The keto cakes are also amazing, lemon and raspberry, lemon and blueberry, berries and cream, and tiramisu were all flavors that I tried and loved! Went with my boyfriend and his family and we thought it was the highlight of our trip. I have a lot of GI issues so it’s so refreshing and exciting to have a go-to pick me up place for delicious treats that you can’t find anywhere else.

Soooooo good and ethical! I love their values and food. They have pies, popsicles, gelato, gelato sundaes, chocolate, drinks, and more! Everyone should try this place!

Yummy keto friendly dessert for my husband on Valentines Day. They were very knowledgeable and was using all Covid precautions.

This was my first time here and I will definitely be back. This cheesecake was even better than the Cheesecake Factory. Cant even tell that its good for you😍 love that they make everything in store from scratch. Very knowledgeable employees👍

In town with daughter and wanted to find vegan desserts after dinner. This place fit the bill and exceeded our expectations. We tried both the peanut butter & chocolate slice and the triple chocolate slices. Both were delicious! My daughter was so excited to find a place with diary free and soy free desserts. The service was good and we loved the way the shop set up a sanitizer station outside of the shop with sanitizer and masks for the customers. We will definitely come back when we are in town.

Absolutely amazing. I have been several times now and tried various desserts. The Race Day pie is probably my favorite but everything Ive had has been so good. The smoothies are phenomenal. So fresh and fruity. So much flavor. To top it all off the people running it and working are so friendly and seem like really good people. I will always be a customer here.

the lavendar dark chocolate is pictured. We voted that our favorite (other than the 10 yr old). Second favorite was orange dark chocolate then peanut butter chocolate. We decided the cherry bourbon was too much sweet from the cherry and didnt really have a bourbon flavor. The dark chocolate wasnt bitter at all and they all complimented the chocolate they were paired with perfectly. My guy cant do gluten, eggs, or lactose so it was great finding a place that was delicious and safe for him to eat. None of it tasted healthy. Just rich and decadent. It is healthy though since it is raw vegan. So yay! That is our review of 4 slices of cake!

There are a ton of great choices and though the taste and texture is a little different, sweets are sweet and this stuff is good. I’ve tried the Keto cheesecakes- raspberry lemon and the vanilla - and Keto gelato - dreamsicle and the vanilla chocolate and macadamia nut. This is truly guilt-free dessert, good for you, good for the environment, good to eat and great to look at.Easily the best (healthiestdessert I think I’ve ever had, and the vanilla chocolate and macadamia nut gelato took care of my chocolate craving and was filling.The store itself is very well set up, very colorful and groovy. There are tables inside and out. It’s right on Bardstown Road next to a fitness place. You can work out and then eat right while watching weird happen all around you. It’s a fun place to eat.Service was great. It is definitely a neighborhood store with genuine knowledgeable people doing a good job carving out their niche.Parking is available on the street, there’s a small lot next door, and large lot just down the street at a church.Would I go here for dessert if I wasn’t on a diet? I wouldn’t have before, but I will now. I like trying new stuff and there is a lot here to try. It’s also very good!

I want to take a moment and thank Rawnaissance raw organic desserts for their quality desserts that are both delicious and nutritious. For a family with several food intolerances and allergies, we quickly found ourselves at home here with tons of options that taste great. Their Derby Pie is outstanding and I will eat anything with chocolate and peanut butter that they make. My wife loves their orange and dark chocolate pie. Thanks!!

Charming dessert shop where the desserts are pretty as well as delicious and healthy. Generous portions satisfy that sweet tooth for sure. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will be visiting again soon.

What a lovely place! This hidden gem is just what Louisville needs! My husband and I finally ventured over to Rawnaissance for dessert after dinner one evening and we already cant wait to go back. I have previously tried the chocolates created by the owner but had yet to try any other dessert. We were greeted by Carrie who was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. We tried the bourbon and cherries chocolate cake and it was delicious! No wonder it was the last slice in the case!This is uncomparable to any other vegan dessert. The consistency is smooth and the flavor is wonderfully rich! Many vegan desserts are gritty or taste very processed, but not at Rawnaissance. No matter what your dietary habits, everyone should give this place a try!

AMAZING. The customer service was amazing, I would go back just because the girls working were so nice. But the cheesecake.... Oh my goodness, heaven. So glad they have a rewards program.

We had a piece of Gingerbread cheesecake and a macchiato. The cheesecake was amazing as was the coffee. Its great that they cater to different diets and have all vegan options, it is a little on the expensive side.

We are officially regulars of Rawnassance. We eat a plant-based diet and this place is fantastic for occasional indulgent treats. My favorite, so far, is the caramel chocolate pie. My husband has even ventured away from his peanut butter to try Barbara’s other delicious offerings. Today, he enjoyed the triple chocolate, pictured with this review. Since the owner has incorporated more keto options, these often take up her fruity choices. I’ve not tried those since they went keto. Her regular raspberry absolutely popped with flavor. Their coffee roaster is one of my favorite. Yes, prices are higher than some other dessert places but the consistent quality, organic, gluten-free, unique rawness and superb ingredients while still looking pretty make this a great option for a nice dessert. BTW: ‘ice cream’ and chocolates are delicious.

Love everything about this place! The desserts are sweet and the staff is even sweeter. A ton of fun and unique flavors of cake, gelato, and drinks. Definitely would reccomend to visitors and locals :)

Where do I start. I really love these desserts. I got a pumpkin pie, race day pie, and the classic peanut butter chocolate. I had the plan of getting only 1 slice. So I went around closing time becuase I thought there wouldnt be many options to choose from. But boy was I wrong. A few more pies and cake came out before closing. One of them that didnt make it out just yet becuase it was too close to closing time was race day pie. Which is my FAVORITE. Ms. Barbora was so nice to bring me out a slice. These desserts remind me of a thick whipped/mousse like dessert with just the right amount of flavor. The race day pie is light yet creamy with just the right amount of sweet that I like. I ate the pumpkin pie before I finished this review, so I cant show you what it looked like before it was eaten, sorry, but oh so yummy in my tummy.

This is one of the best little dessert places you’ll ever go to. Their rotating selection of desserts is absolutely incredible and will blow your mind every time you go in. All of their dishes are made with natural ingredients and organic sweeteners - just enough so the desserts are sweet, but no so sweet that it tastes like a blog of sugar (like a lot of standard American desserts). Adorable, quaint little store with delicious and beautifully crafted desserts. They have truffles, chocolate covered bananas, mini cakes, cheesecakes, coffee drinks, chocolates, and are coming out with gelato. The owner is so sweet and passionate about her mission to provide vegan, raw, organic, and delicious desserts. Everything she uses, from the utensils to her ingredients, are all ethically sourced and clean. This is a wonderful new spot that I highly recommended!

Amazing. There almost arent words for how wonderful and delicious these treats are. The gelato and the chocolate chip raspberry cheesecake are to die for. Everything i tried was incredible, creamy and indulgent. Even non-vegans would enjoy this. Its also owned by a lovely woman. 💕💕

My mother is lactose intolerant, so eating desserts at restaurants is risky business at best. We decided to try Rawnaissance, and werwe so happy we did! Everything was delicious! And it was awesome to see my moms delight; shes never been able to safely order anything she wanted off a dessert menu before. So if theres anyone in your life with gluten, lactose or egg sensitivities, you have to bring them here!You can get large slices of cake or pie or smaller versions of the same desserts at the counter. We opted for 4 little samplers: triple chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, red velvet and vanilla chocolate swirl.All of them had the flavors you would expect (in a very good way), except the red velvet, which was more creamy with a hint of coconut than red velvet-y. That was fine by us, however. It was quite tasty

Delicious deserts, great service and didn’t feel the crash you get with candy bars or pies at other bakeries. Worth the money.. Quality ingredients!! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area and they also deliver anywhere!!
