Ravioleria Sarpi - Dumpling restaurant in Cornaredo, Italy
Fresh and delicious.. simple menu with choice of beef, pork and veglie dumbplings
A small street food kitchen in Milan’s Chinatown that serves delicious taste experiences. The restaurant is a street food kitchen, so there are no seats, the food is eaten standing and with your hands. There are excellent vegetarian options, both crepes and ravioli. After the taste experience, you wouldn’t believe you are in Milan. The place is very popular and I don’t wonder why. However, the service is fast, so don’t be afraid of the queue. Definitely one of my favorite places in Milan.
Just as good/better than Chinatown NYC dumplings
I’m not sure what the hype is. The wait time was very long and the guy at the front with glasses was bad. Crepe was thick and greasy
Highly recommended spot for dumplings and savory crepes in Milans Chinatown. Fast service. I recommend standing and eating there so you can watch them make the food by hand in the window. Two orders of dumplings and one crepe was enough for my partner and I to share.
Excellent veggie dumplings. Stand in line. Eat dumplings outside while standing in street. Repeat.
My husband liked the beef a bit better, but said both beef and pork were great. (I’m gf so didn’t try)
The dumpling is average, thick skin and a very small amount of meat. The crepe is better. Both are made fresh.
Take-away place with thick and juicy dumplings. Fair prices, fast serviceFood: 8Service: 8Pork dumpling: 9
good enough. great flavor, decent texture, average portion. take away traditionalish dumplings.cute hood. excellent service.
They missed my order and when pointed out after waiting for so long, the staff member was quite rude too. However, they prepared me a new one. The crepes was ok, bit oily though. I wont come back again.
Maybe I just don’t get chinese cuisine but I wouldn’t say it something extraordinary. Crepe was really dry and felt like plastic. Ravioli were fine but also nothing special — yellow version of pelmeni. But they cooked everything pretty fast and it wasn’t expensive at all.
Came here after seeing David Rocco show it on his TV show and it was close to my hotel. It was a bit hard to order they didn’t understand English well and I wanted a rather large takeout order. The dumplings were tasty but the skin was a bit thick.
Great Ravioleria in Milan, bit of a detour but well worth it. Everything we ate was delicious! Queues can get long but service was superfast and you get to see how the "raviolis" are made by the expert staff. It’s only take away so be mindful you’ll have to stand outside while you eat as there is nowhere to sit. Nonetheless, great place for a quick bite. Highly recommend and will go back there if we return to Milan.
i feel that it is overhyped.long lines of people and its fame on social media led me to try it, but it really did not live up to my expectations.the dumplings taste nice, but the dough is super thick.i also tried the crepe with beef, and for 6 euros it is not worth it, as most of the filling is taken up by big chunks of fried dough. again, taste is nice but nothing to write home about.also, a minimum spending of 10 euros is required for payments with card, which is absolutely not legal!
Definitely one of the most delicious dumplings ive had abroad. Its east meets West in the best possible way. The wrapper is thicker and chewier like Pasta but the taste is very authentically Asian. I also Love that they have vegetarian options! If you find yourself in China town you gotta try this place - its at the Top of my list of favorite street foods now.
The vegetarian crepe was so good, while the vegetarian raviolis were okay. The service was fast and you can see them while theyre preparing the food. The shop is tiny so theres no place to sit and eat + they only take cash
Amazing dumplings! Made right in front of your eyes. Highly recommend
Totally rad authentic handmade dumplings!
This place blew my mind. The lineup for their sister kitchen, Mo, down the street was wild so I was absolutely thrilled to be able to grab kerbside here, and I can’t imagine it being better. So flavourful and fresh. The line was pretty wild here too but it was way more manageable. Service was efficient and lovely and they have an impressive flow to make it all work.
I had both the crepe and the dumplings. They could have been more generous with the saucing and herbs in the crepe. It was ferociously hot from the griddle and you couldn’t taste the egg. Otherwise quite nice and authentic. The dumplings were v good though I don’t like how they won’t let you self serve the sauce and toppings. I think those grumbling about the thickness of the dough are too used to the Shanghainese/ Cantonese style. These are definitely more filling northern style dumplings.
Great Ravioleria in Milan. It’s only take away so be mindful you’ll have to stand outside while you eat. Nonetheless, great place for a quick bite.
Filling and affordable. There was a line but it didnt take long at all
Really good dumplings! The vegetarian was really tasty. They only accept cash (card only if you spend more than 15eur)
Good dumplings. Skin is on the thick side but it’s priced nicely at €4 per set of 4 dumplings. €10 card minimum.
Definitely a place to try the food. The ravioli was exceptionally delicious! Fresh and full of flavour.
We had limited Italian skills but the lovely lady tried to help us through the menu as best she could. The dumplings were juicy and came out very quickly!
Amazing must visit! The pork dumplings are the best 🥟 the crepe was also delicious 🤤
We came here at 11 a.m. and there was almost no queue! (theres always a queue in the eveningWe paid 12€ for three kinds of dumplings (vegetarian, pork and beef), 12 dumplings in total (the portion in the picture cost 6€🥟 I liked the taste of veggie/pork filling the most, the beef dumplings had a thicker dough. The sauce was deliciooous! It was a bit hard to communicate with the staff in English and I dont think theres an English menu on display but we managed. Youll have to walk a bit to find a bench nearby.
Definitely one of the best dumplings in Milano.A tiny shop with usually a long queue in front that serves pork, beef or vegetable ravioli. They also have a filled crepe that is good tooThere are no sests and you eat them standing on the street (or take them home to cook).
A must for the lovers of dumplings and Asian cuisine. The most visited attraction of Chinatown in Milan. Nice dumplings / ravioli cinesi of Milan. Staff really kind and service quite fast. Highly suggested
All that we ate was DELICIOUS! They were very kind and super fast. You can see how the "raviolis" are prepared and all is super fresh. Quite a trip and super worth it. The prices are super good and the taste is incredible. We got both pork and cow. I thought that cow was better, but it is already comparing it on a super high level. Unfortunately no places to sit, it is a take away thing. Definitely recommend and will go back there if we return to Milan.
🥟🔥🇮🇹🇯🇵I am surely going to Ravioleria Sarpi every time I will be in Milan.Amazing Asian-Italian fusion! One of the best street food Ive ever eaten.Edit:2nd time in Milan, 2nd time at Sarpi! Brought a friend this time and we loved the dumplings!
Dumplings were not translucent and silky but with a very thick dough and the filling (we tried vegetarian and porkwas mediocre. Hectic and long waiting time. Cant understand the hype :(
Excellent street food in Milan’s Chinatown. You can see them making the dumplings and crepes while you wait for your food. Ordered the crepe con carne and (messy to eat but delicious), ravioli con ripieno di Manzo (beef dumplings), and ravioli con ripieno di maiale (pork dumplings). No outdoor seating but fast and delicious to take away!
Both vegetarian and meat raviolli were super tasty! Fast and very good price to quality ratio :)
Simple concept in a very fun chinatown in Milano. We had a crepe and sum steamed dim sum. The menu is very small and you eat on the street, which adds coolness to the whole experience. Don’t miss to ask for the hot soy and added coriander. The trick of their fame is the near by italian meat shop from which the shop buys their meat. It provides some of the best meat in Milano.
Location - At first I had difficulty finding the shop. It had no name board. Maybe famous ravioli shops dont require a display board I guess😅This was the first time I tasted Ravioli ever in my life and I wasnt disappointed. ☺Here we Tried Ravioli cotti Maiale and crepesRavioli cotti maiale - the meat was cooked right and was soft...!!! It just melted in the mouth. With the sauce. It tasted sooo good. 😋Crepes - the outer and inner layer of pane was so soft. With egg and some addition spicies. It was spicy and yummy.Overall we had a new experience. Satisfied
Amazing street food!I tried all the items on the menu and everything was very delicious!
- Food: They have three kinds of fillings: beef, chicken and pork. You get 4 pieces/ 3.5-4 euro which is a really good price considering that the dumplings are freshly made- Services: Very efficient. They put the menu outside so you can decide in advance what you want to order then wait around 5’ to get your dish- Location: it’s literally in the main street so you can’t miss it at all
My review based on many visits.A must in Milan, you can walk through the Chinatown of Milan, then have a break for eating these delicious "Ravioli" made in front of you using the quality meat from the nearby butcher. It may be that you will find a bit of a queue so be patient. There are no tables, it is street food.Really recommended.
Truly a must try street food.Do expect to que for food. Always a line at all times.Just a reminder, the line on the left is for ordering and collecting ravioli or paying for crepe is you order both. The other line on the right is to order crepes or collect the crepes if you have paid earlier on the left line.I was queuing on the wrong line because I cant read the Italian signage. The ravioli aka wanton/馄饨 is very delicious. The crepes is also very tasty.
Delicious and freshly made! Had the vegetarian dumplings (€3and vegetarian crepe (€4.5). Quick service and take away only.
Loved it. Tasteful dumplings at a low price with fast service. The only downside is that there is no place to seat and it, but as it is not place to be a seated place for more of a quick bite is OK.
Really delicious handmade dumplings and crepes. Fast service and excellent value - Two people can eat for approximately 12 euro. Don’t skip this spot!
We ate some good dumplings here. They are made by hand and the price / performance ratio is totally correct. Can recommend when your craving for a quick bite.
Fantastic dumplings (“Italian style”, as they are basically raviolis with dumpling fillingand crepe wraps. Some of the best food we ate in Milan!
Serves amazing dumpling and Asian crepes. Simple short menu and super reasonable prices. There is a line but it moves fast! Its a gem in Milan and a must visit!
Great street food in Milano Chinatown. in a crowded street full of young people this place arises with their special thing. its an open kitchen where you can see everything being made in front of you. They have several kinds of dumplings and I definitely recommend the Mo a bread with pork meat and a honey moustard sauce. worth the price. They are always changing the specials.
Best cheap and yummy Street food! We went around 1pm, there was a small queue, but it moved quickly. We ordered one plate of beef dumpling (4 dumplingsand a crepe. Got the food within 5 minutes. Friendly staff, they speak little English.
