I was freedom camping in my van in the carpark where this place is on, and I had the fish n chips Salas and two caronas , 44 buks which I thought was fair!, and the food was delicious honestly, chops where there own apparently! Honestly, Id go back again, thanks guys I loved it bigtime !!!

We were at the beach round the corner.... We have taken the children to the park and the absolutely loved it, especially in the summer time playing in the waterpark

Nice park with a good variety of play equipment, slides, etc., picnic tables and other attractions (Kapiti Miniature Railway is wonderful). I havent had an opportunity to see the splash pad in action yet but it looks quite good.

A really fun place for a picnic out in the park/beach..

First time here , drove from hutt valley . Beautiful water park , has playground & flying fox . Very spacious . Beautiful scenery & alot of resting spots / chairs to relax plus bbq area . Sadly the toilets are a but of a walk away from the playground so wont be able to quickly run off to the restroom without needing to take the kids with you .

Clean and spacious. Lots of parking and happy smiley locals.

Such a beautiful little park, family focused with plenty of activities and shade. Best childrens train rides this side of the Bombays with a fab beach around one corner and ice cream or chips around another. Must visit if you have young ones

Great park for having a family fun day,close to the shops for fishnchips etc ,a fun water play part for kids an right next to the beach.

A wonderful family area. Pack a picnic basket and blacket and enjoy watching the kids play amongst the water or swings. Whichever interest their play at that moment

The park is nice And quite big. The park has something for every share group. Most part of the kids year has no shade. If you child has sensitive skin and it’s a hot sunny day then make sure that they wear covered clothes. The water play area is big and kids really enjoy it. Some part of it is concrete so better if kids are wearing some grip shoes. Our 3 year old slipped and really badly scraped her knee.

Simply class A park. Beautiful shade trees marvelous water playground the ocean train and Kapiti Island. Good cafes and restaurants. An idyllic location for family picnics and fun.

close to the beach and super convenient with stores and cafes close by. the park was relaxing as well and its a perfect location for adults and kids alike.

I have known this park since I was a child . Now my own kids are too old to play , but its better than ever . There are too many features to mention , but if youre looking for a family gathering out ,then this is a sure thing for enjoyment . Even if youre older like me ,then watch the kids entertain themselves, while you picnic , have a bbq ,or take them for a ride on the different miniature trains . There are dairies , takeaways , cafes, beach access etc nearby . There is also many picnic tables strewn around the park in different areas .

Wonderful place for families with small kids; standard swings and slides, great flying fox, and superb water play-park, with fabulous miniature train rides just round the corner.

A really pleasant place to wander through, not much has changed since I was a teenager and lived in the area some thirty years ago. New tables and a water feature for the kids, as well as the old model trains running, makes it a great stop over for families.

Great playground and water splash pad. Good to see at the time we were there they were doing maintenance on the splash pad. Other than that close to cafe & other places. Recommended and definitely come back again with my family

I think this will be a number one summer spot when we are in the kapiti area for our kid. Splash pad and park and a miniature train (check the website for what days the miniature train goes).

Awesome park - easy to keep an eye on the kids from all parts of the park, great for toddlers right up to bigger children. Swings, zipline, splash pad, different types of slides. Space to ride small toddler bikes. Miniature train rides. Sunny sheltered spot. Lots of picnic tables. Good amount of shade. Right next to the beach. Not fenced. Decent parking. Will make this a regular for sure. Stopped at Beach Rd Deli on our way up after ordering our food online for pick up. Perfect day out from the Hutt Valley.

Love it. Great place for the family weekend. Lots of options are available: kids area, mini train, public BBQ grill, beach, cafés. All is well maintained. The low hills protect the kids area from the sea breezes and southerlies.

Best playground to keep the kids occupied, especially on hot sunny days. Trains on Sunday afternoons, water park is fantastic, gas BBQ facilities to cook something,and close to restaurants and fish and chips. Great fun for the family,great place to get together for a picnic and just have an enjoyable time outdoors.

Nice gardens and playgrounds but the spashpad is the main attraction. The location is nice and sheltered so even if the beach is a bit breezy the park is a good spot. Plenty of picnic tables and a couple of BBQs.

Nice wee park by the beach with barbecue and picnic areas with a splash pad for kids to play. The miniature trains run on Sundays and are fun and reasonably priced activity to do with kids.

Great park, with lots to do for the kids. My kids liked the flying fox. There is also a splash pad. Lots of places to public lunch as well. Parking can be tight.
