Excellent fish and chips. They can even do gluten free batter

Service is excellent, they listen to you and wherever they can - they are keen to accommodate you. Fish and chips are very good. Portion sizes are larger than others locally - we have forgotten this twice and ordered far too much. Also it feels healthier (relatively speakingas you dont get that sense of regret afterwards when the cooking oil sinks into you. Though the chips arent those very soft ones which some people like. Overall the place feels clean - thoroughly recommended within the Raumati Beach area - probably the best.

I got the family pack last night honestly they were disgusting the tartare sauce tasted off the fish smelt funny iv orders here before and they were ok but last night was yuck wont go there again

$29 for 2 sml fillets of fish small scoop of chips..the guy put my order on. Didnt say hello. Disappeared out back. Came back to wrap. Put the order in front of me, no eye contact, no thankyou. Just walked out back again. Never going back.

Terrible. The whole meal was not good. What my issue with it was the spring rolls and anything battered was soggy.Its simple the oil wasnt hot enough. I mean seriously?? I wont be going back.

everything tasted like oil every bite was like biting a sponge and out cane so much grease and oil, chips looked and tasted disgusting and were also overcooked, on top of that they were insanely expensive for a fish and chip place.

This little shop is fantastic the food is so fresh and tasty, service is excellent I have a client that is addicted to their crumbed fish and pineapple fritters, I get her them 5 times a week.

would rate 0 stars if I could. the people working obviously didnt take English class as cant understand basic saying "no salt, please" and puts salt on almost everytime if you arent watching them. Yall should get a grip cus this is as far as youll get in life and youre already failing

My son was the one who spotted this and asked for fish and chips. I had fish burger. The fish was fresh and yummy. They also have yummy bubble tea too.

Disappointing, fish and chips . Soggy bits of potato they classed as chips . Fish tasted odd.and not fresh . Quite frankly a soggy mess. Will not be visiting again.

The boba tea they make there is SO DELICIOUS AND AMAZING I had to try everyone of the drinks they had and OMG it was worth it. Also the rest of their food is very nice, not too greasy or the opposite of greasy and it is very crispy. The number 13 boba taro drink is the best on their menu in my honest opinion (my opinion is the best and most trustworthy). But also try their burgers too, lots of variety and can add extra lettuce if you want. They answer the phone very fast and are very nice to talk to sometimes. Very fast food and on time, I have never had any problems with Raumati Fish Supply. It is the best fish and chip shop to go to if you want a good meal, 100% recommend.

Quality and quantity highly variable, but completely over asking for no salt and getting salt. Last time got them home and it was inedible but didnt have time to do anything about it so $30 wasted. Tonight was their last chance but they blew it, although at least caught them in the act so they were able to resolve before I got them home. This place used to be great 😟

Another bad Fish & Chip shop on the Coast; what does it take to serve up decent(sizedchips & not the scraps. The "crumbed fish of the day" was very large, very dry & not a lot of fish within the dry crumb. Cant take a photo as most( over halfis in the bin! At $23.50 for 2 fish & 1 scoop - call it a donation that wont be repeated....

I placed a phone order under my name. When I arrived I noticed the assistant place an order on a side counter without announcing who the order was for. I quietly waited for several minutes for my order to appear and then wondered if the order sitting getting cold and soggy next to the counter was mine. Unfortunately it was. I wasnt thrilled that it had just been sitting there and explained they should have announced who the order was for and I would have immediately claimed it.The owner (and possibly new owner?seemed to take exception and told me it was my responsibility to announce that I had arrived ! And yet they announced all other orders ........ as fish and chip shops do....just not mine.She does not seem to be aware of the concept "the customer is always right" A simply apology about the confusion and the fact my meal was sitting there going cold would have gone a long way but was not forthcoming. They might be able to cook fish and chips but have big lessons to learn in customer relations which could be costly.

The absolutely GREASIEST, most tasteless food we have ever had ! ever ! Awful. Like eating dirty oil. Dont ever go there !! HORRIBLE. Had to throw it away after attempting to eat it. What a waste of money.Even the seagulls spat it out !

Just bought 2 chips 2 battered fish and 1 potato fritter tonight Saturday 11 Dec order #18.Got them back to our caravan and discover they weren’t salted and the chips were soggy over done tiny bits of potato! We don’t have salt on us currently. Bit of a windy storm brewing otherwise I would have walked back. Very disappointed as don’t often buy takeaways it’s a treat, however the fish was very nice.

Pretty decent fish n chips, some times the chips can be cooked a bit long.Parking quite difficult to find if busy.Staff are generally friendly and the waiting time for food can be a little long but nothing worth complaining about.All in all this is a well established business with only a few ownership changes I can think of in nearly 30 years.The 3 stars are because there is room for improvement with family meal deals which there are currently only 2, Id like to see more choices. Also a bit less cooking time on my chips and fish.

Best corn fritters we know of, kumara chips are also spot on. Other food is passable.

Unable to eat the overly salted fnc, chicken salt has a weird after taste, fish pieces are small for the price and chips look old. Havent had really bad fnc in a long time.

First time dining here and the last time.The food was horrible, over cooked and tbh. It looked & tasted like it had been reheated from last nights dinner. The chips/egg foo yong/sweet sour pork/were disgusting. Would never recommend nor go to again. Spent $75 here for complete disappointment. The birds will be happy to eat it.

After reading the reviews we thought we’d check this out. Unfortunately I am sorry to say it was not good at all. The chips tasted reheated, the batter was greasy, and my order was wrong and my daughters was missing altogether. The staff were very friendly though.

Our go to fish n chip joint for the past 12 months. Reasonably priced (which is hard to come by these days), consistently perfectly cooked fish, hands cut fries (with a fair amount of short and crunchy chips which I love), and often add an extra fish or two.After discovering Raumati Fish Supply, all over fish n chip shops always seem to disappoint.

We used to love this shop but not anymore. For some reason their chips are burnt and old, the fish batter tastes different and the fish seems frozen.

Best Fish and Chips I had since Ive arrived in New Zealand! Fresh, tasty, crunchy and not much oil. Love it and will try going there from time to time to have my NZ Fish and Chips when I can

Used to be the best fish and chips on coast...So happy that the new owners are still making their own chips but they need to not overcook them (golden not brown - is the oil being changed often enough). We are happy to pay for full size fillets so please new owners dont go cutting your fillets "paper thin" as your old customers will find another fishing hole.

So did a phone order. Had to repeat 3times. Got told a time. Went there at the time. 15mins later im walking out with the wrong order. My chips and fish were cooked then they did the burgers 10minutes later. I ordered 4fish 1hawian burger 1 chicken burger and 2 scoops. After telling them im preg at the start of the order and to make sure its cooked please i get the wrong order and got given a chicken and chillie burger. My order was 20minutes late and wrong and to pay almost $40 for such a small order is beyond a joke

This is probably one of the best fish and chips Ive ever eaten anywhere in the world! You dont have that oily taste as you eat it and you dont get that oily aftertaste as well. Coming from a person whos pretty health conscious and almost never write reviews. I really recommend!

Really friendly service! Not from around here but had some of the best fish and chips when on our recent trip (added bonus was the great view on the beach while eating them). Good sized portion of chips and the fish was delicious! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Just payed $14 for a scoop of kumara chips and two fish, the scoop was tiny and the chips soggy. the fish feel out of crumb before i could eat it. was a snack size portion for full meal price extremely disappointing, i will never go again! if you want good fish and chips on the coast go to tavern takeaways.

We tried this place for the first time as part of a birthday dinner. The crumbled fish was really good, the battered fish was way too greasy, and sadly, the chips, which we got a couple of scoops worth were so overcooked, and full of the bits of batter from the fish. It was really disappointing, but another example of kiwi kids being left to cook and not being taught properly. Wont go again.

So, the first time we came here we placed our order and settled in to wait. Another customer comes in, a kiwi guy but dressed kind of like a cowboy. He starts talking to the young lady behind the counter - says he hasnt been here in a couple of years cos he lives in L.A. Turns out hed driven here directly from the airport after getting a flight in from the States to visit family, and these fish and chips couldnt wait. We soon found out why... this place is amazing. Best fish n chips weve had on the coast, and I think weve tried them all.

Offers gluten free batter for ¢50 extra an item.Very generous portions, tasty and decent family packs.Offers free sauce with the pack, definitely better than the other places in the kapiti area.Burgers are worth the price, as you get twice the size of other stores burgers.I didnt try the fresh fish, but I saw it was pretty good for the other couple who got it.

Excellent fresh fish. The crumbed fillet was delicious, with a perfect crumb on it. We got the fillet dinner which was a generous portion size, with fillet, big pile of chips, and a fresh salad, with tartare sauce thrown in. Well definitely be eating there again.
