Let me just say that I do love to eat a true story but I was extremely disappointed in my last order, which took place through doordash. The delivery was perfect. The food although I love spicy food, I was ordering with somebody who cannot tolerate nor have spice, and ordered chicken tikka masala mild. When I tried the food look for my partner. It was very spicy even for me who likes spicy food. I ended up eating the meal alone while he cooked eggs to go over his rice. ;(

So the foods good, but the amount of oil they send with your food is ridiculous. I’ve called and asked them to remove the oil before they send it, but if I don’t ask, you best believe, it’s coming with an inch of oil.I’ve attached so pictures of the oil I was able to remove..The manager who’s always at the store is really rude so I can’t call and complain anymore..

Chicken korma and Lucknow chicken biryani are the best. Order one hot and one mild.

Rasoi has to be the best Indian in town, the service is wonderful, food is always high quality. Perfect after a long hard day of work!

Manager was so rude and obnoxious. We only went there because we wanted to eat Indian food since I missed home cooked meal. It was only take out. We ordered and sat on the table to eat. Manager comes out and he said who ask you to sit here and eat. He made us get up in the middle of us eating and asked us to move. He was worried about us customer and we were not his customer. If you are from NJ. Don’t go there. He had no manner what so ever

1 star purely due to the host at the front door.I can usually take poor service if its good food. But if the food is a 3.5 on a good day and the host is an absolute trinket the minute you walk in the door, go to any of the below for better service:1Basically any McDonaldsIf you want better food:Probably any other Indian restaurant in STL.

Horrible customer service. Disrespectful and rude. Food is ok if you can’t find anything else.

The food there is just sooo good. I tried it for the first time last week and ended up order again the same day. The food just gives me more energy and makes me feel more alive . I don’t know how they do that but it is just really good.

As its clear for Indian and pakistani that its restaurant of Indian pakistani taste.Restaurant was good, neat and clean. Food served as per our order and taste was delicious.Staff was very decent and cooperative.Though rates were bit high but still good value of money. Strongly recommended for the desi food lovers.Wish them best of luck and great business.

LOVE this spot but it has been a minute...miss ur brunch buffet

As much as I love this place. I wish they would update their information for dine in. Husband and I tried to go here for the lunch Buffet but found out that they aren’t doing that. Go to House of India if you want to dine in.

Enough rice for 3 entrees and spiced according to directions. Much better experience than I received from other ethnic restaurants in town - with a couple of exceptions. Rice, Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Vindaloo, Dhal

I miss enjoying Rasois dining room, but my take-out order was wonderful with just a little reheating. As always, our order was well-packaged and accurate, with no waiting time. Rasoi has been one of our most reliable take-out places, well worth the drive from St. Charles. Thanks!!

The masala chai tea here is unlike the kind usually served in restaurants. I prefer it by far. I usually order the chicken korma. I remember enjoying the dessert, I think it was some sort of mango dish.

Only take out available now. Intended to meet a friend for dinner there. Plans were changed quickly and we are at another restaurant a block away.The staff was very patient, kind, and understanding when explaining the lack of inside dining.

The food is good and all that, but there is a particular waiter in this restaurant that is so rude. He is dark, around 5’8” tall, doesn’t have hair on his head, and he uses glasses. He basically walked me out of the restaurant and told me never to come back again. I will never go to this restaurant again.

Attempted to call the restaurant a few times to make sure they’re open and offer dine in, no answer. Their website shows “dine-in” open! We drove 30 min to the restaurant, just to be told it’s takeout only! Bad business! Be more clear about your restaurant specifics. Lost a potential customer.

Beyond Disappointed that you are still take out only. I used to come to Rasoi once to twice a week with half of my company. 4 to 8 people..Still closed to dine in seating while they say they are open for lunch and dinner.. which is a lie. You should just operate a food truck. It would be cheaper and noone would care about eating in.I will never be back... Such a disappointment...

Ordered cheese garlic naan and there was a brick of cheese in there. Also my veggie chettinad had soooo much oil in it?!?! I had to pour it out before I could try the dish. Also, maybe it’d be helpful to switch to a hotness scale from 1-5.. instead of mild,medium and hot. Hot biryani was impossible to eat. Maybe add ‘extra hot’ as an option and keep “hot” at eatable level. We eat lots of Indian food, and this by far has been the worst we’ve had in St.Louis.

There food is stale and mostly uncooked. We ordered chicken and paneer which is poor in quality and uncooked. Worst food ever had in STL

The owner is the rudest person ever. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They refuse to take responsibility when they mess up orders. They gave me a wrong order and I told her they did, I even showed her a picture that clearly shows the difference and then she said that I’m lying about them being different, meanwhile I’m showing her the picture of the previous order compared to what she was giving me at the time and all I was asking for was to get a replacement for only that, which was a sauce that’s only $8. She is SO RUDE. I wouldn’t recommend eating there. There are plenty of other good places that have better service.Another time before that, they gave me the naan so messed up so I took a picture of it and showed it to them and told them that it didn’t look fresh at all, so the guy asked me if I called right away to let them know so I told him that because I go there often I didn’t care about that and just thought I would show it to them when I order again so he said that he cannot do anything about it because I didn’t call right away……LITERALLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. And look at all the other posts about them not taking responsibility…..

I had chicken curry from here and I really enjoyed the aromatic flavors of the curry and pepper.This place makes their curry completely different and that’s what I absolutely enjoy, a restaurant who specializes in bringing their own uniqueness to a meal.

Some of the best food a person can get in the Central West End! Consistently delicious and the serving sizes always ensure leftovers the next day. Unfortunately both their phone number and their website have been seemingly non-functional for months, making it impossible to order carry out. Definitely worth it if you can somehow manage to order it.

Had the chicken tikka masala, medium spice - it was perfect.My wife had the vindaloo hot, which was also delicious - a bit much for me, but perfect for her! Be aware the first bite seems innocent, but it builds over time and further bites into a beautiful furnace. Waiting for enough room to eat my samosa and punish myself with more of her vindaloo - my tikka masala is all already gone. :)

Unbelievably long wait time for carry out of very average food.I have given them multiple chances however they haven’t changed a bit. On asking for how long it would take, the lone person standing on the counter simply goes inside the kitchen to hide. Today we ended up canceling our order after waiting, and no expected time of arrival.

The first few times my partner and I got takeout from here 18 months ago the food was phenomenal. However, it has declined greatly since then and now Im going somewhere else. The quality of the meat is now quite poor and the customer service is mediocre at best (the man in the front of the house is rude and extremely slow). Also, they will randomly close and only put a note on the door so you dont know until you arrive to place your order that they are not open on a day when they normally would be. They do not update their hours on google and they do not update their message when you call, so there is no way of knowing unless you drive there (all the way across town in my case). Ordering from this place is too much of a hassle and, like I said before, the meat is fatty ad of poor quality. Its a shame because I really loved this when I first visited. But due to many bad experiences in the past year I will not be back again.

The biryani I ordered was completely oily and tasteless. Took no accountability for the food and refused to take accountability for it. Incredibly rude over the phone and tried to blame door dash for the food the restaurant made. Has no basic understanding of door dash at all. this is very unprofessional and not ok. I do NOT recommend this place. try going to turmeric instead. better customer service and more accountability. I have been eating here for a while there is a significant dip in food quality. significant. im apalled by the way im being treated as a customer. The guy I spoke with ought to be fired for his unprofessional behavior this is not the way to speak to customers. so rude~

WASTE OF MONEY !!! Weve been eating here for three years but for the last three months their food became so much tasteless. We order paneer makhani with 2 level hot but it was so sweet. Their garlic cheese naan also was very raw and i could taste raw dough in it. This is last time i am eating from here. Do not suggest to eat from here for price they are charging.

I love the food! I am sad they are no longer dine-in. I miss the buffet and taking my wife there for a wonderful dinner in the evening. Its too far away for me to carry out.

I ordered takeout spicy chicken briyani from this restaurant. I have ordered so many spicy food from different restaurants and it wasn’t too spicy that it would kill you. I’m used to spicy food all my life. But the chicken briyani that they gave me was unbelievably spicy. The spice level was not at all normal and I was sick for one full day and made me throw up. I’m totally dissatisfied and would never recommend this place to anyone. I hope you don’t add unbelievable level of spice in your food to anyone going forward.

We got takeout from Rasoi during our stay in STL. This is the most flavorful, delicious Indian food I have had outside of India. Top quality. Highly recommended.

Can’t wait to try. I always pick up food from there for others and always get greeted so nicely. I will order a dish soon the food smells so delicious and smell so familiar, but I’m not familiar with Indian cuisine so I hope I pick good choices.

I love Indian food. Looked online and found this place and I will say it is really good. My favorite dish is chicken tendaloo..and I order the veggie samosas. Potatoes chicken and spices cooked so long that the meat literally melts in your mouth..perfectly cooked basmati rice and the samosas pack a kick..I will always come back..I love it.

I can kiss the cook!! The samosa were cooked to perfection. The Shrimp Vindaloo was fresh! Love it!!

I had very bad experience in the restaurant. Food is alright but the customer service is horrible. Yesterday went to pickup online food, and the guy who served was very very rude & had nasty attitude. If its up to me, I would give you guys 0 star. Teach your employees little manners & tell them to be little polite with your customers. Else theres many Indian Restaurants to go. My 6 years old twins behave better then them. 😑😑

Only giving one stars because the food is decent quality however as the previous reviews state, customer service, general kindness, and respect are much lacking from this establishment. I ordered online and called immediately after ordering asking for them to remove an item from the dish. The person on the phone took a defensive and rude tone telling me that I shouldnt order online if I want to make adjustments, however there is literally NO place to write suggestions on their website. He was extremely arrogant. Its disappointing when you try and support local restaurants for this to happen. They also never include utensils in the to-go orders so dont waste your time ordering on a lunch break at work.

Amazing indian food. We tried bhaingan [smoked eggplant with peas] bartha, channa masala [chickpea in a tangy tomato gravy], tadka dal [spicy lentils] and panneer masala and all of them were so delicious 😋.

Very late service. We ordered 55 mins ago and are sitting in the car since 15 mins now. These people are taking advantage of winter and the fact that we will not go to anyone else now at this hour. Bad experience overall.

This is my first time ordering Rasoi. Am at work & ordered rice, salad and lentil/soup but no utensils was added in my delivery. I caller to let them know and they told me its not their responsibility to hand out utensils. How do they expect people to eat without utensils?Other than that my food looks fresh warm healthy and. 😋 delicious. Next time i will request utensils

Definitely my favorite Indian spot in STL. Samosas are a must try and the Chicken Tika Masala is always a go to

Delicious lunchtime buffet with prompt service. Many vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I was glad to find this restaurant to be walking distance from Chase Park Plaza Hotel.

I love this place. I’ve eaten here three or four times now and it has been delish every time. I’m a huge fan of the lunch buffet, and they sometimes have a mango pudding at it that is to die for.

Rasoi offers my favorite buffet lunch in St Louis. The food is very tasty and I feel everything is made from scratch. Staff are very nice and the restaurant is clean and quite.
