Well care taken by Government of WB and Archeological Survey of India. This is the place where you can buy tickets to visit all other places and the ticket cost is 25 only.

Great piece of our history. Intricate terracotta motifs are so eye pleasing. Quite well maintained. Superbly photogenic place too. Highly recommended👍
Very beautiful. An ancient marvel which needs to be protected properly. As usual, people have destroyed few places by writing names. Except that, its really good.
A 424 year old (in 2022structure of exceptional architecture. Covered with Terracotta designs from the 16th century. Commissioned by Malla King Bir Hambir, this used to be a place that housed the Raas Utsav. It has 108 doors within the structure under each of which an idol used to be worshiped during the festivals. The structure remains mostly intact and that is a major engineering achievement given the fact that the structure has no pillars or beams supporting it. Much of the outer designs and plaster have worn off after 400+ years of withstanding the weather. It is unfortunate to see that it cannot be restored properly
Lovely maintenance by govt. And wonder to see sculpture and history really awesome

King Hambhir established Rasmancha in Bishnupur in 1600 AD. The temple was used to exhibit all the local idols to the public for adoring during the very famous “Ras Festival” which was incarcerated in the year 1932.Rasmancha stands on a square-shaped elevated laterite plinth along with a Pyramidal Superstructure. Coming to the exceptional architecture, the length and breadth of this temple is measured as 24.5 meters and the height is 12.5 meters. The upper part of the temple is made with bricks and the base of the temple is made of laterite stone. The upper structure of Rasmancha looks like a beautifully constructed pyramid made with bricks. The middle part of the temple bears a resemblance to conventional Bengali huts and the arches along the lower area resemble Islamic architecture.
Very nice .....Well the surroundings are pretty ..There is a beautiful garden .Over all its an awesome memory..But you have to purchase tickets to visit the place...Well the guards are strict no garbage & spit are to be found here..
Good place to visit on your trip to Bishnupur. They let you enter the temple and explore the beautiful architecture. Well maintained by the government and ASI as well.
A totally different architectural piece among all the similar types of temples in the temple town of Bishnupur. The alter is made with stone and the other struture with bricks. The pyramidical structure is totally unique in India. The terakotta structures have faded with time here. It has 108 doorways and wad built in the era of Bir Hambir in 1600. And I see this structure everyday from my college building. 😊 The ticket is 25/- per head from the counter and 20/- from ASI Website.
Well maintained Heritage monuments and buildings..
One of the most popular places to visit while in Bishnupur. An interesting place for architecture enthusiasts as its structure has influence from pyramids, Bengali style and islamic arches. Perfect to visit around sunset time to witness the mystifying sunlight around the long galleries. It was built by Mallabhum king Bir Hambir and is currently maintained by ASI. It requires a ramp to make the structure wheelchair friendly.
Great Architectural milestone in Bengal. Amazing Place to visit in Bengal.
Rasmancha, the oldest brick temple was established by the King Hambir in 1600 AD. The majestic temple is architecturally so unique and unparalleled that it is one of its kind in the whole Bengal as well as the country. You will get to witness a heritage that is enthroned with a pyramidal superstructure and is blessed with three circumbulatory galleries, tranquil pillars and mysterious arches with terracotta lotus motif. In the presence of daylight, when you will be walking through the galleries, you will feel history whispering in your ears by the language of light and shade.
Extraordinary architecture.. Nicely maintained by ASI... Online tickets available from ASI website for three temples.. Rs 20 only

The entry point to the temple city (মন্দির নগরীBISHNUPUR. This ancient piece of architectural marvel tells a lot about the ubiquitous technical knowledge in Malla-yuga (মল্ল যুগ), the tenure of Malla dynasty.Features:1. Thin yet tough bricks. These are merely ⅓rd in thickness as compared to modern earthen bricks.2. The super-duper precision in engineering. Every row of gates (দুয়ারare perfectly collinear, precise upto a few centimeters only.3. Similarly, small ventilators in the inner walls are perfectly aligned in a straight line.4. The characteristic brick red color - the color that you may call the official Bishnupurian Temple Hue (although each temple of Bishnupur originally had an additional layer of lime-coat, in Bengali চুন সুরকি, at present all of it has washed away due to climatic changes over the decades. Thus, showing up the inner bricks. Same is the case with Rash Mancha)5. The frontier lawn is full of tender grasses. This adds a great liveliness to the siteAdditional info:For last few months (update as of November 2021), ticket booking is MANDATORY ONLINE to maintain COVID Protocol and also to avoid the hassle of queue. The links and QR Codes for the same are available at the outside billboards. Also thanks to ASI for having arranged recent chemical washes to restore the grandeur of the architecture.Bishnupur administration have repaired the lights too. This reinforces a lovely scene at this heritage site even during the dark time.
This historical monument is an awesome place to do a photoshoot. The corridors give a nice perspective. The garden is inaccessible. They are expanding the area. Buy tickets online from make my trip to avoid hassle.
Rasmancha is regarded as the "Pride of Bishnupur" and also the most sought-after tourist attraction of this beautiful historical town. My visit to this glorious archeological marvel was a blissful experience. I toured this temple on the 8th of October 2021, during the time of Durga Puja. Its situated very close to the center of the town, where most of the other pertinent tourism hotspots are located. I was awestruck to witness the grandeur and magnificence of this brilliant architecture. Before entering the premises you are required to purchase the tickets. The ticket will be valid for entering two other reputed temples as well & will cost you ₹20 if booked online through the ASI website, by scanning the payment QR code available near the gate. Physical tickets can also be purchased. The Rasmancha is surrounded by a lush green garden. In the midst of this sensational garden, the Rasmancha stands tall with all its glory. After climbing the stairs and entering this incredible temple, you will be completely mesmerised by its beauty. With multiple gates and narrow alleyways, it imparts an adventurous feeling to walk through them. Photography is allowed at this location, but videography is prohibited. I would definitely recommend everyone travelling to Bishnupur to visit Rasmancha. But, try to avoid coming here during the summer months, as its excruciatingly hot during that time.🙏🏻
Clear example of using laterite soil to blossom terracota design and shown the various religious structure on the walls... have no words to describe the architecture of this building. Architecture and design was beyond my expectation. It was built 500-600 years ago by Mallabhum king and nothing internal damaged can be seen. Was thinking what kind of IIT was in that time to enrich people with such devastated knowledge to build this kind of architecture? Though we dont know whether any IIT was exist 500 years ago or not but definitely we know todays architects ( not allare not engrossed with ground knowledge rather the believe in copying others to show their supremacy.(My comment isnt for the people who are truly knowledgeable.)However lets talk about some relevant information.Ticket price is- 20rs or 30rs which can be used in other temples. ( 20rs if you purchase ticket through QR code tangling on the wall of ticket counter and if you purchase through ticket counter, you will have to pay 30rs)
The heritage of bengal well preserved. The compound was clean and so was the site. No local interference unlike most other heritage sites, surprisingly there were no food stalls around which at times become nuisance at such serene historical spots.

One of the oldest tourist spot of West Bengal, the Rash Moncha is situated in Bishnupur, in Bankura district of West Bengal, India. It is 421 years old heritage building built by Mallarajas in 1600. Very beautiful place. But there is a problem. Tickets are only online. This made me feel bad. Because there are so many people who do not know anything special about online payments. They will get in trouble definitely. Otherwise its fantastic.
