Budapest, Síp u. 10, 1075 Hungary, Budapest
Landscaped square known for its dramatic weeping-willow sculpture commemorating Hungarian Jews.
Very beautiful synagogue, fascinating glimpse into the history of Hungarian Jewish population, their divergences, culture and practices. Very emotional and beautiful memorial to victims of the Holocaust and others affected by it. Also to those who helped people by hiding them or escaping them during those dreadful years. Folks divided into language speaking groups and given talk on the history.
Not easy to find but important to find. Who today really is a Raoul Wallenburg: a man, like many back then, as the stories come forward, that risked it all to save the lives of the hunted and persecuted Jews the Nazis were killing in Budapest in savage ways. This peaceful park near the waters edge makes you feel contemplative. The original buildings from that Era are all around, you can hear if you listen the voices of the fleeing, the hunted and the stalkers all in play in fierce movement in an otherwise docile neighborhood. Thank you Mr. Wallenburg.

Beautiful creations that are symbolic to an horrendous period in history.
Very beautiful reminder of a horrible past in Hungarian history
lux
Inne i synagogan, måste betala inträde
Commuovente
Beautiful monument perfectly fabricated
Warum diese hohen Eintrittspreise???
Personalmente me encantó.
A time to Think, a time to understand

Må detta vara ihågkommet i all framtid

This is likely the most underrated Holocaust memorial out there. It is extravagant and gorgeous yet is haunting as its a metaphorical glimpse hinting to what 6 million lost lives could have amounted to.
Beautiful park and a lovely memorial.
A must see. Memorial to Raoul Wallenberg, the Swedish diplomat, and to some 240 other non-Jewish Hungarians who saved Jews during the WWII destruction of Europes Jews.
Powerful
Nice place but expensive
Elgondolkodtató, de túl "művészi" Lehetne talán egyszerűbben, számomra könnyebb érthető módon megfogalmazni a gondolatot.
