Great place to eat. This can be a very affordable spot. Appetizers and cocktails will kick up the price, but that’s not surprising. Great place for any occasion. Good service. Don’t miss the cocktails!

Ranoush is my FAVORITE go-to for Mediterranean food & hookah. The food & hookah is absolutely top notch delicious, the owner is very friendly, the staff is knowledgable about the food & offers excellent customer service, the wait time is never long for the food, & the food always comes out fresh! Not to mention, the alcoholic drinks are super tasty as well! When I dont want something with alcohol, the mint tea is my favorite!! The restaurant is also always very clean. I love the vibes here. Its perfect for a mid-day lunch, date night for 2, or even a place to lounge by yourself or with some friends during the evening! Ranoush is also so nice because the kitchen is open so late. Thats rare to find here in STL, a lot of places close early. If you choose to dine in, ask for Peter. He does a fabulous job. & make sure to order the chicken schwarma, with EXTRA garlic mayo! ;)

Super long wait times. Food is usually pretty good and service, when it happens, is usually good as well. Just be prepared to wait a very long time to get anything, including a check.

Chicago native first visit to any hookah place in Saint Louis They charge you for even the coal which i’ve never seen before in any hookah place, the place is pretty expensive for the service they provide and the worst hookah i’ve had, menthol cigarettes have more menthol than their mint hookah. Don’t recommend at all for hookah

Their chicken shawarma is absolutely delicious, but they are too stingy with the sauces. The garlic sauce is key, yet there is only a tiny container of it. For $22, I expect more. There used to also be a tahini sauce that I used on the salad; without it, the salad is lackluster. Sometimes they make a nice cucumber-tomato middle Eastern style salad, but other times, its just limp lettuce with rubbery tomato slices. The pita is fresh and perfect. The seating may be authentic, but eating from those low couches is very uncomfortable for us older and fatter Americans.

I used to love this place. I knew it as a great place with great services and foods, which goes back to 6 months ago. However, in my last visit, I had one my worse experiences ever. I am not sure what has been changed, but this place has been upside down in everythings. The food was awful! We couldnt finish our plate because of its bad quality. The meats were bad and tasted awful. The new waitress wasnt working and serving any customer. It is definitely my last visit.Do not recommend to anyone.

Ranoush is an absolute gem; Hookah, delicious cuisine and an amazing staff. During warmer weather they open their outdoor seating where you can dine and enjoy the sights of Delmar. I have always walked away from Ranoush happy and miss it dearly since relocating to another state.

We visited in from DC and stopped by here twice. The first time was cool.nice vibeThe second time was the worst. 30 minute wait for a drink we waited almost 45 minutes for a hookah and we watched our waitress (Alleysit with customers just talking while we waited. The hostess was no help as he would say he was coming and just stood at the door. Then they charged an additional $20 because there was 6 of us. No mention of this charge before hand. This place has the potential to be something great but my advice is to hire better staff.

This place was really good!! It is a hookah lounge with amazing food!! They serve food till late too!Our waitress was phenomenal at giving us suggestions, since we had never been before and didnt really know what to get. The portion size was more than enough!!We got the Vegetarian Platter because we wanted to try a mixture of almost all the appetizers and the Ranoush Mixed Grill because we wanted to try a mixture of some warm things. Both were DELICIOUS!!Surprisingly though, if we had to pick a favorite, it was the Vegetarian Platter. We loved everything on that atter...couldnt get enough of it!! And it was all good mixed together, like sampling different tastes mixed together. The Ranoush Mixed Grill was really good too, but the lamb was by far our favorite thing on there...next time, we would just order that by itself, because the flavor and texture was on point!!! The Shish Tawuk and beef kafta were really good too, but we just really enjoyed the lamb better. (Thats just our personal preference). But everything was really good and very flavorful! The sauce they give you to dip the food in is very good too!We will definitely be going back!!

The food was extremely delicious. The only part that was not enjoyable was the horrible choice in music that was being played for the outside seated guest. It was clearly uncomfortable for so many others as well. Not sure how hard core rap fits in with middle eastern food...

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for years and have always had a good meal until the other day. We went on Memorial Day and got there soon after they opened at 4. But service was SOOOO slow and it took forever until a waiter came to seat us. It’s like they only cared about people who came to smoke hookah, not those who came to order actual food. It took us forever to get our drink orders. We ordered an appetizer but it literally came out right before our meals so I feel like that was a waste. The chicken in my chicken kafta was dry and super hard to cut. It also took us forever to get our bill. Only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because usually the service and food is dynamite. Maybe the staff has just gone downhill because of Covid but I don’t really want to return anytime soon. Also the atmosphere and decor has totally changed. The interior looks like a dump compared to when they first opened.

I have no idea where all these positive reviews are coming from. This place looks nothing like the photos it is absolutely filthy and rundown. We ordered only a falafel just to give it a chance and it was overcooked, dry and served with a mustard sauce?! The menu is way over priced: $6-7 for an order of fries! Not a wonder the place was empty at 6pm on a Friday night. Maybe it’s just a dingy hookah place now, whatever deliciousness this place once had is long long gone.

Ghastly! The previous owner and management - from a few years back - are greatly missed. Gone is the traditional Middle Eastern seating and the welcome greeting from the staff. We went for Turkish coffee and dessert. No cream, milk or sweetner available for the coffee. You could have it black or with sugar; thats it. What restaurant - which has coffee on the menu - doesnt have cream and sweetner on the premises? Ranoush...thats who. The bathroom looked and smelled like a barnyard, our waiter was preoccupied and rude. Wont be back...thats a fact!

Do not waste your time. I went here one time and it was fine, food was decent and they were pretty busy but the service was still ok. The second time I came back it was some of the worst service I’ve ever received in a restaurant. When I first came in I already knew what I wanted so I tried to order and the guy told me to go back to my table and wait for him to come. We ordered three times and waited for thirty minutes and nothing came. NOT EVEN WATER. We asked several times and the server we had was just being dismissive. He was also hitting people’s hookahs before he handed it to them?? Would not recommend.

First time I was there, they were busy but everything was fine, service was fast. But the last time I was there, everything was horrible. We sat outside, it took them 30 minutes to notice us and got our order, then it took another 30 minutes to finally get a hookah. The guy who served us seemed to ignore us most of the time. Good thing is the waitresses there were responsive and friendly. Our check was $25. I gave that guy $40. After 15 minutes wait he gave us $5!!! So he took $10 for himself. I was soooo disappointed so we just left, I didn’t want to wait any minutes there for him to fix our check.

Went here last week, took a while to get over the experience. Our waiter was high, and forgot half of our entree orders, though he did give us desert on the house. We paid almost $50 for the couples platter, and all that came out was hummus, and deepfried pockets of mush. The bar and kitchen were dirty, like nobody has wiped the walls, and the window ledges and lighting fixtures, and curtains were all dusty and not maintainedWill mot be returning

Ranoush is a unique spot that I plan on visiting again when Im in St. Louis! We got the mezze platter which is a great option if youre not acquainted with Syrian food - lots of different dishes to try and it can probably feed three people even though its recommended for two. We were the only ones in the dining room when we went and service was slow but we werent in a rush so we relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

A few years ago, after a disappointing stint, we decided to quit ordering from here. Thought wed try again recently. Nearly 90 dollars (with tiplater, we are sure we will not be going back. If anything, its become worse. We were disappointed. A once great place, it looked tired, the cooking was indifferent and lazy. Falafel tasted like it was microwaved, that bad.Right next day we decided to try a comparison. Now for just over half that price, Sultan in the Grove provided amazing food, and consistently great taste and service. Please do not waste your money at Ranoush.

I haven’t visited this place in years and boy was I happy I revisited. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. The experience and atmosphere were wonderful. A great cozy place to go to in the winter and enjoy a hookah. Lastly the food was amazing! I had never had their food in past times. We had the falafel, hummus with naan bread (amazing!and chicken wings. Which is something I’d normally not get at a restaurant like this but I saw the reviews about the wings so I had to give them a shot. Honestly the best wings I’ve had. No joke. Will defiantly come back in the near future! Give this place a try whether you’ve had middle eastern food or not.

Just a fabulous place to eat. The kitchen is open much later than other places and the food is top notch. Thr falafel is quite nice and the wings, oh the wings. Super crispy and somehow so juicy. Would not bring young kids here late in the evening, because some of the music has some words that kids are normally not allowed to hear. Great times. 👍

Ordered delivery from Ranoush last night for the first time in a while. Between the Batata Harra, Chicken Shawarma, and 0.99 delivery fee with Uber eats, the order ended up costing $40 (with tip). I was really happy when my order showed up much quicker than estimated, but that happiness quickly faded. The first thing I noticed was that the Batata Harra had absolutely no seasoning on it. Not even just light seasoning, zilch, zero, nothing. I’d received a box of plain over boiled potatoes. At $8 a pop, I could have gone and made myself an entire catering size portion for the same price and it would have been significantly better than whatever I was served. The second thing I noticed was that the chicken in the shawarma had no seasoning either! Just bland chopped chicken! Ranoush used to be my favorite spot for Chicken Shawarmas in the Lou, but it looks like it’s time to find a new spot. So disappointed.

Cool interior and exterior place to eat…See my #photography of the middle eastern cuisine and venue here. I had to get extra garlic sauce for my Chicken Shawarma because together, it’s good!! I don’t eat the bread or much of the salad only because I make my own salads and I don’t eat bread, but this is how it’s presented to you. The employees are cool too. They are very attentive service professionals.

Was bored so I figured I need to get out of the house. This place seemed promising. Went in and was greeted by the nicest bartender/waiter, James, who was super attentive and polite throughout the night. The place didn’t have anyone there due to ppl being scared but me and my friend has a blast and had the place all to ourselves while we ate and smoked top hookah. I’d go back just for the customer service and the great hookah. Great place to just relax and unwind.

I Love Middle Eastern food. It was so delicious. We were going to order our dinner to go but the ambiance was right & it wasnt crowded. Our waiter Alex was delighted to hear our satisfactory grunts as we devoured our dishes. The beer/drinks are pricey but the food is reasonable. The wait staff was excellent & attentive. We Thanked the Chef as we left. Were going back for sure.

We tried both the vegetarian plater (first photo), and the Mezza plater for 2 (second photo). In my personal opinion there are few cuisines tastier in this world than good Middle Eastern food. This Middle Eastern Syrian influenced restaurant, Ranoush hits all the right notes on my pallet. My favorite dishes are the Mixed Grill, Shish Taouk, and shawarma. I recommend to add a side of Hummus, some fresh pita bread and garlic sauce to really put things over the top. The meat is tender, juicy and packed with a precise mixture of flavors. Everything is made fresh to order, including the Pita bread and it’s always served hot. There is ample seatings both indoor and outdoor. Street parkings are limited however there are parking lots nearby. The staff is courteous and attentive. Will definitely visit again.

A lot of restaurants like Ranoush are very similar, but Ranoush does everything its own way. From the falafel to the naan/bread, its all uniquely their own. The bread is great BTW. The falafel was pretty different and I honestly wasnt a huge fan. The Mixed Grill had a great variety and the surprise there was the chicken. It was cooked perfectly and very well seasoned.

Food is good and really tasted nice. Juicy chicken kabobs and flavorful vegetable platter. but I guess Ranoush can either cut Down in quantity to reduce price or offer a half priced menu too. Too much food, and costs above average. Place can be cleaned and maintained better.

One of the finest middle East restaurants Ive been to. Was a little hesitant at first as Im a vegetarian and the platter looked like the only option. But by far, one of the best vegetarian dishes Ive had of any cuisine. The rosewater kahwa added to the delight to a cold night.

This is one of the best places to dine in St. Louis. From the moment you walk in to this intimate restaurant, you feel as if you have crossed the Atlantic. The lighting is dark, yet vibrant. The music sets the tone for your Arabic event. The seats are comfortable, no matter where you sit. The tent in the back of the restaurant is a unique way to enjoy hookah if that is your cup of tea. The food is always exceptional, no matter what you choose, and is reasonably priced. The warak enab is the best Ive ever tasted. The falafel wrap is the most under rated dish on the menu. The hummus is creamy and smooth. I have yet to find a dish I didnt enjoy. The Arabic coffee is fantastic. It is hot, strong, and slightly sweet, so it requires no cream or sugar. The belly dancer on the weekend add adult fun to your meal. Overall Ranoush is not just a restaurant, it is an experience.
