Rani Beach Hotel in Male

Booked a AC room on 9th oct but the ac was not working so I informed the reseption , they didnt even care about the customer and charge me the full amount..and the food pricers increase according to the customer. Not recommending this hotel to any one... I dont wont even to rate this hotel so disappointed

The food has no taste. If you go to this hotel for stay, find another hotel to eat. Even after ordering, there is no service in this hotel.Never recommended.never go there

So many mosquitos. You’ll have to worry about getting dengue.The bed is not comfortable.The room is dark.The food is not very good.

We had lunch here a few times while on the island visiting family and friends. The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. We sat on the ocean front patio and enjoyed the view with our delicious wine and lunch. Must try!

Great place to relax. The pool is also very clean. Very affordable with a good service. Ideal for small family vacations

Middle level 2 star type hotel facilities are okay inside lookz nice have only two senery room room can watch the sea they little expensive compare others facilites remajn the same have small swiming pool can enjoy the sea side as well its by the beach.

Stayed here as part of a tour for one night. Put in the worst room, ground floor next to driveway and road. Fight took place in the early hours of the morning with no one around to stop it. No block out curtains, so outside light shines into the room all night. Pool under renovations. At breakfast I was accused by the staff for not paying for 2 x beers the day prior, which I had, and had the receipt to prove it. Very unprofessional.

RANI BEACH HOTEL. Its is in Negombo , Sri Lanka !!!! We had stayed there for two day during round tour with indian clients !!! Its is a decent Beach resort which some good amenities !!! While we check in they provided black tea as welcome drink in reception !!! Then we headed to our room which was quite big and spacious with attached bathroom and a big balcony with beach view with some chairs !!! The room has Ac, Tv, a cupboard , and a dressing table!!! Dinner is good but quite expensive since all hotels in and around that area is expensive !!! We had some sea food which was delicious !!! Then coming to morning we had a morning beach walk just behind our resort which was quite romantic and then coming to breakfast it was buffet and had quite good varieties of food with juices, bread , omelette , potato fry, sausage and some American dishes which was awesome !!! The swimming pool is clean and well maintained !!!! But the only disadvantage is No Lift is available there !!! It should be noted that they treat drivers as if they were guests!!! Overall good experience. Highly Recommended For Foreign And Local Visitors !!!

Very poor service and very unpleasant staff. One manager came and spoiled our nice gathering and I m very upset with the given service. Recommend not to go to any buffet at Rani hotel.

Worst place. There is no elevator or lift in hotel.There were cockroaches and insects in Bathroom. Insects on bed and bed sheet. No manager or incharge to take care of guests or complaints. And taste less food. No wifi. And they charge equal to 3* or 4* hotels.

First of pool was full of sharp edges. I got like 4,5 cuts in my arms and legs. Then the food was meh. Long waiting times. They dont even care when food items are finished.

A really nice hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is amazing as you can walk straight onto the beach from the restaurant area. My only complaint was the lack of blankets which led to me waking up freezing at about 3 AM and having no easy solution. Other than this everything was really good though.

When you order a Food ,normally you have to wait around 45 minutes,Food is average.I had experienced was waiting 65 minutes to get Pineapple drink. It was not good either.

Beautiful place,with bit of luxury 👌 very kind and professional staff. Rooms are modern and exceptionally clean. Specially love the swimming pool ,just gorgeous. We also had our last dinner here and it was very good decision 👌

Expensive for nothing.I paid for a room. I wanted to have a sea view but the guy kept on taking me to other rooms . I had to be really insistent to get a good room.I also paid for breakfast and dinner which they said were buffet. The breakfast buffet is a mess. But there was no buffet for dinner, only a la carte. And they refused at the beginning to serve me what I wanted to. Next night they again did the same but with a menu with very narrow choices. I asked to have my dinner packed. They put food inside plastic bags.Staff especially males are very pushy and sticky, they keep on talking to you and get even bit harassing as I was a single woman there.Very bad experience.

Good place for a day out (pool and lunch)..service is good but I dont know about the room service..

Great option for day use... lots of shade and good swimming pool. 750 Rps/person (with towel and sunbed). Restaurant good and reasonable price.

Although room is specious the lights r very dim, AC was not working properly. The buffet barbeque dinner was horrible. Wi-fi is not working in the room. Delux room is even below standard room category.

It was awesome..... well food at all..... calm place to sleep at beachside..... hope to come again and again.

Dirty room, no shampoo or soap in the room, internet did not work at all when asking the staff I was told I could sit in their lobby if I had to go online but even there it hardly worked and if you got wifi in your "room" it only work on the balcony.Fridge did not work, noisy, smelled like sewage in the room from the bathroom. Will never use this hotel again and I discourage anyone else to do to sonalso there are tons of better hotels near by.

Rooms here are pretty nice. The construction of this hotel is catchy.If you get a sea facing room, the view is breath taking.

Comfortable sunbeds! Good food at lunchtime! Tea and coffee took too long to be delivered! Cost to hire sunbeds etc very competitive! Will definitely use them again!

Nice spot right on the beach. Sarong hawkers were really pushy. Got on a local outrigger for a sail around the bay. $45 USD but well worth it. The road is noisy from quite early in thr morning.

Shabby & not very clean. Room & balcony was spacious but dated & tired. Swimming pool water mostly green & murky with some water bugs. Breakfast buffet was poor & hot food was mostly cold. Snacks during the day were okay. Location is good.

Tried their buffet breakfast. Chicken curry was good but need to develop the quality for sure.

Resort is nice however the room had mosquitoes..we had to ask for mosquito repellent but that didnt help either... however the resort is nice with beach view

Joined with the 78 NDT batch party, held in the beach front of Rani Beach Resort. It was a clourfull evening after a meeting and photo graphs.

The resort is contemporary and about 20 years old. It has some classic style in some areas and lack of style in other areas. It is located right on the beach. The true strength of this resort is the friendliness, helpfulness and attitude of the staff.There are some minor maintenance issues, however they do not detract too much. The food on the restaurant is reasonably diverse and of reasonable quality. The dining area is light, airy and open on two sides.There is a bar ajacent to the pool, however we have not tried it yet.

Budget hotel with Swimming pool, Spacious room but dont expect luxury facility from them, Meal variation is very poor and if you late you will be miss most of food items.

First of all, this place has steps upto the second floor - no elevator and if you have a party in your group who has trouble climbing the stairs, you are in for a treat.Rooms have a very pungent odour - worse yet it comes from the bathroom drain.Rooms facing the street will hear noises from it all night long.A/c doesnt work good. In severe need of servicing. TV is there for name sakes.And i saw moss on bathroom wall!They are right on the beach and they do have a beach facing swimming pool.Staff is pleassnt enough. Wifi only works in the lobby/ ground floor.They do serve a nice fresh breakfast though. 1 star for that and the second is for the location.

Old fashioned hotel with large rooms, high ceilings and AC. Great pool and beautiful views. Whilst the food is average the staff are very friendly and ready to assist. Good value for money.

Not a place for everyone, but for people who know Sri Lanka and its people, or want to engage with them, the Rani is worth considering. As a frequent traveler who likes to meet people and not just be served by them, I enjoyed my stay. Front desk staff are all kind, considerate and well informed, the position is very good. Beach is nothing special but it is kept clean, as is the pool. Breakfast Ok, rooms large.

Nothing really exciting about this place.. The room was OK, lobby and sofas looked old, the breakfast was not tasty at all and lacked variety. Not sure how much we paid as our tour agency booked it, but I would not recommend this place.

Ok for the price. We stayed only a few hours. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Beds were not very comfortable. Buffet had flies all over the fruit, bread was stale but omelette was ok.

Clean and quiet place. I was only on a day out with friends. The staff was friendly with a good service. Pool was good and they provided us with bath towels.

Great sunsets. Watching the kids playing cricket on the beach was also a highlight.There was a lot of rubbish on the beach which was a shame.

What a dump!Rooms maybe large but were very old fashioned. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable and springy. Electrics were very old and seems quite unsafe.Our bathroom was hideous. The shower cubical felt like could shatter at any moment.Old CRT TV in our room with half a dozen fuzzy channels.No wifi in rooms only in the foyer.I asked for the nearest ATM at reception and they sent me for a 45 min walk into Negombo town centre - there is one 5 mins away in the other direction.Common areas were dimly lit and shabby. The balustrade was less than a metre high meaning that anyone could quite easily fall over it.The pool and the breakfast buffet are the best things about this place.

Good pool is there. Deep end is about 6.5ft.Most of staff are Pakistan people.so that you will face communication issues. Foods are pretty good.

Went there with family. Enjoyed the food. Loved the view. Great place to have dinner by the sea side.

Nice location and pool, but in dire need for better maintenance. Wifi didnt work, rooms were sparsely appointed and general vibe didnt go with the price we paid.

Had our family get together Jan 2017. They have arranged everything we asked before we arrive. Food was amazing and very affordable. Friendly staff and attention to all our needs. Had some quality time there.

Rooms are very large. Very old style air conditioned rooms. Well maintained swimming pool.

I ve been here thus place is so nice. Lots of food varieties. Big swimming pool a baby pool for kids..if you want to go to beach its a few steps away..exiting place

I want to inform all the guest come to this hotel please use your own towels because they put it on the floor to stop the water comming in to the room from the balcony door when its raining .
