Im not sure what this place is like reason being I parked outside the shop but actually went to the place next door.Its called megabite and I recommend this place because the service and the food is delicious 😋It reminds me of a place place home in Opotiki ocean seafoods.

Good walkway, at the look out in fine day, there is a stunning view of Tasman sea, Mana Island, Porirua, through the SH1 from Wellington, Tawa.From the parking area where the Camp Elsdon to the top, no dog allowed, stiff hill , a lot of steps, physically demands.Drive futher up the Raiha Street, there is another walkway to the lookout where park cars along the Street. This walkway is for cyclists, four legs pets friendly walkway. It is a gravel road but much easier. 20 to 30 minutes to the lookout.There are also alots of side tracks for cyclists. Prepare yourself bad wethere as its can be very windy,Enjoy

Do this hike often. Peaceful and lovely busy and birdsong. Sheltered in the winter from the rain and winds and keeps the sun off you in the summer. Love all the new tracks. I like the loop trap connecting the stairs. Is about 8km loop from car park. Lots of bike tracks too. The views at the top are the perfect resting place to have a breather.

If you wanting a challenge come and take on the challenge of 245 steps to get to the top off a magnificent lookout looking over Porirua Harbour and beyond!

No pain no brain a hard but enjoyable walk up 200 steps!Try a 20kg vest and feel the burn!City council has fix some of the dangerous slippery steps after putting in a complaint so hopefully, no more people slipping over!

This is my new local trails network since moving to NZ. Only a few trails and seems like a newish trail network. But quite good for what it is and the small amount of trails. Got enough to challange a beginner right through to more seasoned riders

Mountain Biking: They are doing some great work here (and you can helpand the tracks and trails are starting to get some good attention and some enthusiastic regulars.Note that this park is close to the landfill, so you might occasionally get a whiff if the conditions are right (or wrong I guessand the wind is from the south.
