lovely view of the city mixed with the coast, park and quarries next to the summer theatre, also nice place for footing or walking. As beach itself the water is extremly shallow and lacks of waves. The color of the water depends on the currents, when they came from the river its brownish, not really nice(dont worry there are no piranhasbut when they come from the ocean the water turns more bluish.

The beach is pretty small with beautiful fine sand, but the water itself looks very dirty. Brown in colour with no waves at all.

The experience with others is greatly enjoyed here, there are many attractions to look forwards to, giving you in large variety to choose from. From the amusement park, the skating rink, a couple restaurants, bars and clubs to even the pleasent walk on a sunny day.A side note and recommendation, although locals will not think twice before dipping into the water, its not the cleanest watered beaches we have in Uruguay.

Honestly speaking in winter is a lovely place for see sundown. At summer is so do crowded. On 02.02 each year it atracts a crowd to see Iemanjas (afro umbanda religioncelebration. Dark sands in some ocassions.

This is a small beach with a local feel, unlike the beach at Pocitos which looks and feels like something off of a postcard. One of my favorite things about it is that its next to Parque Rodó which I absolutely adore. My favorite things are the statues, The Fountains, the castle, and the outdoor photography exhibit. There are many other things to do near this location. There is an amusement park for children, a roller skating and skateboarding rink for everyone (with exercise equipment nearby), and there is the Rambla for walking, jogging, cycling, and people watching. There are volleyball games in the summer and are public bathrooms year round at the McDonalds across the street.My favorite thing to do there is to meditate with the sight sound and feel of the ocean.
