Ramblewild Adventure Park - Recreation Centre in Hancock, United States
Ramblewild was an amazing family outing. The staff was amazing and the courses were well-maintained. Highly recommend!
I was a little leery about going because it is a little pricey. But after the experience we had yesterday it was totally worth it! The weather was going to be a bit unsettled so they did emailed and texted me asking if we could come earlier so we would be able to experience the full time slot which I appreciated. We were able to make it a little earlier and the weather cooperated and the rain held off.It was just myself and my two kids ages 10 and 13. Our guide Walker was absolutely amazing!! He was so professional, incredibly patient and just amazing with my 10-year-old who had some fears going into a few of the obstacles. He was so encouraging! I cant say enough good things about him. I was able to get over some fears myself. The zip line over the ravine was a little scarier than I thought it would be but I was proud of the three of us and all that we were able to accomplish. I cant wait to come back and do the other courses. If you are on the fence about going or not, dont be. Its so worth it!We chose not to purchase the gloves which I think are not necessary to do the courses. We completed the lost in trees and riding high courses.
I went with a group of experienced and unexperienced people. I was one of the newbies and I really struggled with the heights and a fear of falling. There was one obstacle that I didnt think I could do, and I was almost crying. Our guide Michael immediately joined me and spoke calmly to me and helped me cross the wire together with him. He then carefully brought me to a place where I could exit the course safely and rest. I was able to rejoin my group again later on a less advanced level. Michael was very reassuring and comforting and he made sure that I wasnt at all embarrassed for needing to stop. I knew that I was in great hands.
We had an amazing 13th birthday for our son and his friends!Special thanks to Derek, Jake and Preston, that made the experience memorable! We will be back for the blue course!
It is for all age.. my son just turned 5 and tried beginner level which was fabulous and completed all their challenges successfully.
Highly recommend. Our guide, Jake was the best
My husband and I came here for our honey moon and it was the best decision. The staff was so welcoming and really did their best to give us a great experience. Our guide Jake was very knowledgeable but laid back and gave us room to have our own adventure, while still offering advice when we struggled. I don’t think I can recommend this place highly enough!
Went on 5/7/22. Place is extremely fun but challenging. We had a private 4 group 4 hour session with Jake. Great guy! Made our experience that much better. Highly recommend this adventure and will definitely come back in the future.
We come every year when we visit the Berkshires. It’s hands down the HIGHLIGHT of our vacation! Thank you Valentina, Derek and Jake for another thrilling, fun filled day!
Me and my husband spent our anniversary 💖 here. It was the best half day spent , it was an amazing, fun and challenging at times experience. With the help of our knowledgeable , easy-going guide Dylan we got to the black diamond on our first time climbing. It was safe and super fun . Best part was the kayak on the black trail.
I had a great experience at Ramblewood the courses where super fun and filled with adrenaline they employees where very helpful and friendly and I really loved the zip lining and the 30 foot drop at the end and the zip line across the River it was super scary but super fun I would totally recommend this is great for kids
We had a blast at the Basecamp! 2 adults and a 6 and 8 year old. Not too high off the ground, so shouldnt be a problem is you dont like heights. Alex was a great guide! Fun course with a zipline at the end.
We had a fantastic time with Walker on our adventure in Ramblewild! Walker was incredibly patient with us and was a phenomenal teacher while we tried challenging ropes courses and went zip lining. We had an incredible experience at Ramblewild that was challenging, fun, and really one-of-a-kind. We left Ramblewild exhausted but absolutely exhilarated! We cant wait for our next visit!
Great experience. Fun day of climbing and adventure in the woods. Many options of courses for all ages and abilities
Decided to combine leaf peeping with a day in the trees. Loved, loved, loved our experience! Our family had different levels of competency, and we all were able to accomplish levels of difficulty. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and competent. Safety first! Our guide, Derrick, stayed with us for the day showing us how to use our equipment to navigate from each element safely and also giving us some tips to help us through each obstacle. The creativity of this tree-to-tree adventure was amazing! Highly recommend and hope to try it again!
Ramblewild is a really fun, challenging experience for anyone! They have created a fantastic Covid-safe environment out of an already great park... We cant say enough about the entire experience! Thank you, Steve et al!!
I love this place I go here with my family all the time. The staff is great and the obstacles are even more fun. I definitely recommend going here they have a wide level of obstacles for everybody.
I went with a bunch of girls from work. All first time zippers. The staff was very helpful and supportive. We had a great time and will be back next year.
Lots of fun! We stuck to the yellow and green trails. Not too challenging for an old, out of shape guy like me. :)
I took 120+ students to Ramblewild for a class trip and the staff was great with helping students through their fears (and rescuing a few also). They were patient, kind but also encouraging to our students. Everything went very smoothly.
Lots of fun if youre into ropes courses in the trees. Some of the courses are difficult some are easy but not for anyone who doesnt like heights. The pricing is a little high for what you get to experience.
Great Place !! The staff is awesome, very well trained and friendly! The facility is top notch and the safety gear is great ! I highly recommend this place A+ totally worth the money !! I will be back !!
Heaven for our athletic twin granddaughters. Trekking through the treetops, problem solving on their own, challenged, pushed to their limits, out of my sight, and, all the while, completely safe: what more could anyone ask for.
Mix of courses for all ages and ability. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a great time!
Great fun. Reviews are right, staff and courses are great. Took 3 ten year old boys and they loved it.
Great place for adventure!!!! Staff were very helpful and friendly and gave you tips and encouragement. There was various courses and was very fun to explore. I suggest going with another family member or buddy it is much easier with a companion. Checking in was very simple and easy. I think this is a perfect place for thrill seekers, but not for people afraid of heights!!😂😂
Why did i love this place? First: the courses. There are 8 courses in total: 2 yellow ("easy"), 2 green ("moderate"), 2 blue (difficult), 1 black (very difficult), 1 double black (apparently near impossible). The courses were quite challenging, but you can "choose your own adventure" and go as difficult as you want. It was so much fun. Second reason i loved this place is the people that work there. They were all super friendly and helpful. We were a group of 10, and some of the teens were having trouble in the air. The staff scrambled up to assist, but instead of just getting them down, they encouraged them the rest of the way, to keep going and not give up. Some of the kids I brought werent sure they would go up at all, and instead spent 3 hours climbing and zipping. Definitely wear sturdy shoes & i recommend gloves (I brought cheap cotton gloves, but they sell nice ones there). Would i come here again? Absolutely.
Amazing!!! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. And the course was breathtaking!
This place is one of the best gems in New England! Ive now been twice and I couldnt be more impressed. The knowledgeable and supportive staff is very excited for you to not just have fun but to challenge yourself and enjoy your adventure in the trees. Whether youre a novice or an expert you will have a wonderful experience here!
I swear I had a spiritual awakening as I hurled my body through black diamonds in the middle of nowhere. I didnt think an aerial ropes course would reignite my zest for life. I know this review sounds crazy but, if you felt how I did about this adventure park, youd be stumbling over your words too. Thank you ramblewild!
Their staff is very friendly, they know how to do their job, they make sure you are safe and if you need help in the obstacles they dont leave you hanging, (thank you Mike for your helpI enjoyed the activities very much, I highly recommend this place
Absolutely awesome! I was really, really taken aback by how well this experience is run. Incredibly ingenious, the right balance of rigor and fun! I love that you can progress at your own pace and always feel free, but supervised at the same time. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there to support and guide your climbs. The aerial park is really well designed and the harnesses are so safe, even the faint of heart would feel secure. Cant wait to come back and will surely be telling family and friends its a must do experience. Thank you for grabbing sneakers for me Luke and Rick you are a repelling master! Next time we visit, lunch for the staff is on me!
Went yesterday with my sons scout troop.Everyone had a blast. It was challenging but a lot of fun. The staff were awsome, very encouraging and helpful.I will definitely go back again with my other kids.
This place was great. Aerial adventure course modeled after ski trail system (i.e. green circles to double black diamondLevel of difficulty ranges from moderate to extremely (emphasis on extremely!challenging so definitely something for everyone! Came here with a group of 8 friends over the summer and everyone had a great time.
Wonderful experience and staff. Courses were varied and challenging. The difficulty curve was very smooth, and the park has options for beginners and advanced climbers alike. The very best "treetop adventure" course I have ever been to.
Fantastic ropes course! Amazing staff, gear, and routes. I went with one other person and it was easy for us to stay together. We were doing the course most of the time with little wait. The layout of the place was super convenient and incredibly intuitive. We had no trouble finding our way. We recommend this place for ages 12+. Were in our 20s and had a blast
Beautiful place to enjoy the trees and get a workout! Courses are challenging and fun and the staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Im definitely coming back!
Amazing retreat venue to unplug from daily grind. Staff is friendly and passionate, warm. The obstacle courses force you to be centered and away from the hustle and bustle. Cant rave enough about Ramblewild and hope to come back for many years!
This was such a wonderful experience for my 8 year old daughter and me. The course and equipment are easy to use and high quality. The staff is beyond personable and competent. I really appreciated how they went out of their way to encourage my daughter.
If I had known how difficult this was before setting out I might not have done this but alas, I did...and had a blast despite attempting (and meetingchallenges way outside my comfort zone. Would I recommend it? We already have several times and we just returned home a few hours ago. Thanks to the very friendly and well trained staff, one of whom had to talk me into stepping off a 40 ft platform and free falling to the forest floor. Excellent time...it was the bucket list item I didnt know I had to do, until I did it.
This place is awesome! It has different obstacle courses from tree to tree, classified by difficulty, plus each one ends with a fun zipline! The staff is ready to help you finish if you have some trouble. Highly recommended!
First off the website does not do this place justice. When you arrive and actually see the park it is spectacular. 8 courses of various skill levels fan out from the hub. Everything from beginner to black diamond. Seems like every possible combination of planks to cross and zip lines to ride. After 3 hours you have had the adventure of a lifetime. Special shout out to Zak Dillon and Michael our guides. Could not have been more helpful with tips and guidance on the course. . Will definitely be back. Much more to experience. Enjoyed the day immensely. Thanks again for the great time.
Ramblewild exceeded our expectations. It was group of six of us and the accommodated us with no problem. The staff was very helpful. They actually seemed excited when we told them that our go up was from Houston, TX. I told the Ramblewild staff that I would write a great review about them and this is me keeping my promise. Once again I would recommend Ramblewild to anyone with any to no experience. Trust me when I tell you that you are going to have a blast, we sure did. We are already trying to plan when we can go back up again and pick up where we left off.
The rope courses here are the best. It is worth it for the high price. I would love to come again! Highly trained and helpful staff. A little for everyone. Easy to black diamonds trails.
Huge outdoor park, we spend three hours and barely saw half of it. Courses range from beginner to advanced and are very challenging and lots of fun. Staff was phenomenal.
Awesome. Brought a camp group and the kids had a great time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Courses are as challenging as you want them to be.
I went for the first time on columbus day weekend and i had an amazing time. The staff is extremely helpful. They know how to push you through hard courses and keep you motivated! Although the courses are super tough and you have so much fun. i recommend this place!
The staff at Ramblewild was fantastic. From check in to helping my son put of a spot he did not feel comfortable in to encouraging us all to complete sections of the course that make some uneasy. I highly recommend this for a day of fun.
ramblewild is unique in that it offers their customers a chance to push themselves outside of their comfort zone. Ive had the chance to experience the competition down the road at Jiminy Peak as well, and it just doesnt match up. It seems like they are in two different businesses to be honest. The service level from ticket sales, to equipment issuance and onto the course is top level. You can tell this park was designed by professionals. Not only is it a challenging course, it is also very, very aesthetically pleasing(very. The course is broken up into zones ranging from super easy to ha, yeah right buddy(my terms, and it is really fun. Pricing can be a touch heavy if you havent researched this type of activity before, but I find this place to be a great value, especially with the serviced I received. They have plenty of parking for the demand of the course and their lodge(?is gorgeous. overall, i have no problem giving them my money again and again.
Wow! What fun!My husband, my teenage daughter and I went yesterday. Ive never done anything like this high ropes course through the trees, and was looking forward to it immensely. There are 6 (I believecourses, organized as follows: 2 yellow (easiest), 2 green (next hardest), 2 blue (harder than green), 2 black. All the courses begin at the "hub", which is a large elevated platform that you get up to by ladders. Before you start, you put on a harness and attend a "school" of sorts, wherein you learn the technique youll use to hook up to the safety line on each course. Its an idiot-proof system, as you can only unhook one of your two hooks at a time; thus you are always hooked up and protected from free-falling to the ground. The yellow course was very easy, and a great introduction to this high ropes course idea for us. We next chose a green course, which was also fun and easy too. We next chose the other green course, which was easy EXCEPT FOR an incredibly scary free-hanging rock climbing wall. With a not-obvious way to ascend. And it was swaying back and forth as you climbed it. Did I say it was scary? No? It was scary. All three of us agreed that it was the scariest thing we encountered in all of Ramblewild.Once we conquered that monster, we felt a little cocky so moved on to a blue course. One thing thats great about their hub system is theres a worker at the hub who can suggest where you should go next, based on what youve just finished. He told us the easier of the two blue courses was a little congested, and asked if wed want to jump to the harder blue course. We said, "sure". I mean, wed just conquered the scary rock wall, right? So we did the hard blue course (I think its Ascending Oaksand it was indeed hard. You need a bit of upper body strength to do well on this course. And there were two scary elements in a row, the second being a "ladder" of sorts, except its exaggerated in scale, so the rungs are actually 4" posts maybe 3 feet apart. (I was third in our group to ascend, and watched my daughter and husband struggle with it, so I tried a different way. I gripped the wires not the rungs on my way up, and found it easier than they did. Little tip for you. Youre welcome.)We did the easier blue course last, and it was indeed a lot easier than Ascending Oaks. But it was fun! You get to zipline into a cargo net! What a blast! And then we ran out of time. We will definitely be back to try at least one of the black courses. I highly recommend this place.
