Ramazzotti in Basel

We ordered total of 5 pizzas. We liked and enjoyed every one of the pizza. The Burrata was serving to the eye but the tomato was not tasty, you should only order it during the summer time.We also tried Limoncello Spritz and didnt liked it. Aperol Spritz is better.The staff was helpful and always had a smile on their face. Due to language barriers one of the pizzas is served with a different topping. It was quickly fixed and a new pizza was ready in few minutes.

Delicious Italian food, artfully presented in a lovely atmosphere.

4 Americans really enjoyed the pizza, salad and wine/beer for lunch. It was a nice lunch, good atmosphere and nice service.

Great little Italian restaurant off the main street. You can sit outside on the street to catch any breeze occurring during the day, or, on the other outside area located between buildings to block any wind, or finally inside to escape any hot temperatures, as they had A/C. Prices are reasonable, service is good and friendly, the service people do understand and speak some English.We had the pizza with ham and mushrooms. Everything is homemade and tasty. The pizza was a good enough size to feed 3 adults, allowing for approx. 2.5 pieces per person.I hope you enjoy the food as much as we did.

A great Italian restaurant with very nice ambience and great food. The steak on the hot stone was absolutely delicious and the recommended local Swiss Red wine was superb. The staff was attentive throughout the evening and extremely friendly. - Overall a great place for dinner in Basel. Will definitely come back.

Good crisp pizza if you are looking for a crunchy not wet type of pizza then this restaurant is for you—they also have good pasta options, friendly and attentive service. Pizza’s a bit on the pricy side but understandable because of its superb location

Delicious meal in the center of Basel at Ristorante Ramazzotti. Comfortable and safe, great service, our waiters were very polite, helpful and efficient. Good selection of wines and home made breads.The veal scallopini with porcini mushrooms, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes were abundant and very tasty and so the truffle ravioli. If you go to Basel don’t miss it!

Waiter was standing outside smoking a joint and chatting to his friends while customers were queuing up to pay at the end of the night. The other waitress had to go outside to ask him to help her. Very unprofessional.

Not the cheapest but I guess the location dictates the price as its 30 seconds walk from Basel central square. The pizzas and beers were really good and service was excellent, would highly recommend if youre willing to pay the high price tag.

Wide choice of mouthwatering pizzas and pasta. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great place to bring your children along. Quite high frequented during lunch time and in the evenings - it’s a good idea to make a reservation. Offers ice cream or tiramisu for dessert. Suggest to park your car in the Storchenparking (Schiffländejust around the corner.

The food was really really good and the service was perfect. We shared a pizza and they were nice enough to cut it and put it on separate plates for us. I particularly enjoyed the music selection. We just felt like the temperature in the restaurant was a tad too warm for our taste.

Very tasty pizzas, good service and nice warm atmosphere

We went there with 12 people on a Saturday night (make sure to have a reservation). The restaurant was full (there was a constant stream of people coming and going until 10pm). The service was spot on. Everyone got their starter, main, drinks at the same time. The food was good (Pizza was very good). Only negative might be the pricing, but considered where in Basel the restaurant is and whats usually charged for a pizza in Switzerland, its ok.

The worst pasta vongole ever! which was btw on the day menu !!!! Smelled bad and when I complained they said yeah bec it was frozen and not fresh!!! Why put froze food on your daily recommendation. To me it was expired !!! Pizza tasted like boxed frozen pizza....never again!

Good spot for a set lunch of soup/salad plus a pizza and a soft drink for about 25 CHF (this would be expensive in most cities, but is pretty good for Basel). Swift, efficient service.

It is so bad. The salad came swimming in premade bottled dressing, the gnocchi were so soft you could not mix them, the bolognese sauce was a bit sweet and with little meat, mostly tomatoes. No. No.

Worst carbonara I have ever had. Looked and tasted more like scrambled eggs in Cheeze Whiz, ham and onions. Awful!! I am sorry for the lovely and extremely professional waitresses who were amazing and apologetic even though it wasn’t their fault

Good pizzeria, which also offers good Italian specialties. Old fashioned and nice interior. In summer opportunities to eat outside on the street wich is rather plesant. Smiling and professional staff. Good address, I will come back.

Nothing special. Pizza doe is tooooo salty. Ravioli with old bärlauch sauce. No espresso in Mittagsmenü its a pity, not very italian. Good place to get tourists money.

Italian restaurant. Had pizza and a wonderful red wine. Pizza Diavola was a bit strange as it had bell peppers as usually it comes only with hot salami. Otherwise place is good. Was full during the Baselworld fair

Friendly and welcoming enough service.We decided to have our meal here due to the fact it was very busy, assuming the food would be good and it was! We were pleased with our meal, but found it to be a bit expensive, but I guess thats to be expected when wining and dining in Basel.
