Great hotel, clean, modern and a great water slide and hot tub. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Great hotel. Pool/ sliders/ gym available.
The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is delicious. Fresh omelets with choice of toppings on tuesdays and Thursdays. Water slide, hot tub and pool are fantastic. Also great access on the main floor if you have a dog. Highly recommend.

The General Manager went above and beyond to make sure that all our needs were taken care of. The room was very clean and well stocked. Weve always enjoyed the hot breakfast and friendly service. I would highly recommend staying at the Ramada when staying in Lac La Biche. We will definitely return to this hotel, whenever we come out this way again. Special Thank you to the General Manager, who personally spoke with us to make sure our needs were met.
Had the pleasure of staying at this Ramada once again. As always, awesome service, awesome rooms and awesome hot breakfast. Highly recommend
From the greeting which was welcoming and efficient to the clean comfortable room to the delicious hot buffet breakfast to the check out...our stay was great and will be back and recommend always.
Nathan G’s post on July 27this from Hotel guest Joe that checked in on Sunday July 24th & staying in Rm#418
This place never lets me down.Always clean rooms and polite staff.Id poop there again.
Very clean room and lots of room, excellent water pressure, all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable, and a hot breakfast, who could ask for more, and in a quiet area, definitely would stay here again.
Very clean hotel. One of the nicer fitness centers. The morning breakfast was actually a breakfast. Bacon eggs toast sausage hashbrown. The business center was great also. Great value for your dollar.
Loved the availability of room with a access directly to the parking lot. The door was not only convenient to easily bring things in and out, it was convenient for our dog.The pool was clean and fun, mostly because of the waterside. Breakfast options were good but be prepared to constantly cross over back and forth with other people to get all what you need.
I am giving this hotel 5 stars because it greatly passes what I would consider a 2 star hotel (which is what it claims online). I do think the price could have been a little lower but heres what we found.-Rooms and bathroom were clean and well stocked, more modern than many other 2 star hotels, and roomy.-Breakfast had 3 hot options (eggs, bacon and already made pancakesand a fair amount of cold options. It was decent, better than I expected although I wouldnt consider it great. My only wish was there was a fresh fruit option other than hard looking apples.-Has a good sized pool with waterslide and hot tub. The pool seemed clean enough but the hot tub had a few gross floaties and dead bugs in it.-The staff were all friendly, accommodating, and working really hard. Justin served us breakfast AND worked at the front desk and although he seemed worked off his feet and running, he always was helpful and smiling!-My only major complaint was the queen bed was soft but not very comfortable. It was saggy in the middle a little. And the duvet had a sheet over the top and under the bottom but the sheets would always come off and therefore exposed the duvet which you were sleeping with. I know duvets arent washed often in the hotel industry so it would have been nice to feel like it was covered with a proper duvet cover and not touching me... But maybe thats just me! ** EDIT *** Ramada wrote me and says they wash their duvet after each guest. So thats great!-Close to a few attractions including Sir Winston Churchill provincial park. We really enjoyed the beautiful walk!I would return and would recommend. From the many reviews I read online I think this is probably the best place in town to stay with kids. Especially as they have a pool and waterslide!
Well maintained building with large comfortable rooms. The staff is attentive and friendly.Post-covid breakfast is hot and fresh. Good value.A large pool area makes this a great family option. The fitness room is adequate. No restaurants are nearby; driving required.
The front desk was by far the friendliest reception I’ve ever had at a hotel.
This was one of the best cleanest rooms ever , Fresh smelling , Nice and quiet part of town . The manager Monique is super friendly and knows a lot about the area , very helpful ! The breakfast was excellent and tasty with good variety, what a nice surprise , even for a small but beautiful town !
Clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast and amazing staff!
Recently back from work related trip, stayed 3 nights. This is the only place we stay when in the area. Monique and the rest of the staff are detail oriented and look after us very well. All areas of the hotel are very clean and they are very accommodating. Highly recommend!!
This place consistently goes out of its way to treat guests above normal. They acknowledge and show true appreciation to Diamond Wyndham members! They upgrade me automatically to suites when available and even give me a snack and beverage upon arrival as per Wyndham member status. This is the only hotel that has ever done that! Others you have to ask and fight for only to be lied to and or told no they arent doing that. I only wish Wyndham area reps read these and followed up on good and bad reviews... this hotel deserves an award! 💯
Stayed one night at the Ramada it was an excellent experience. Hotel rooms were clean. Breakfast was amazing. Staff went above and beyond to help.
I must say I stayed at the ramada for 2 nights an I could not have had a better stay I just want to say a huge thank you to Monique Jordan and Justin for making me feel welcome and comfortable 😊 I will definitely be back
This is by far the best hotel in Lac La Biche. The staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond. It is very clean and comfortable. I was shocked at the wonderful breakfast and how much of a variety there was. The water slide is so fun and it was such a nice pool and facility.I am shocked by the high quality level of care this establishment provides. I will definitely be back again when I need a hotel to stay at. It was very relaxing and peaceful. If I could give it more then 5 stars I definitely would. Thanks for the awesome time and fantastic services.
The best hotel I have stayed at in a very long time. After checking in, about a half hour later the front desk phones me to see if every thing is all right. NEVER had that happen before. Room was clean, and neat. Everything worked as it should. Even had a higher than normal shower head. Breakfast in the morning was hot, plentiful, and had a huge variety of food.I do not give many 5 star reviews, but this hotel deserves it.
Room seemed clean enough. However, my room was 16 degrees when I arrived, the front desk didn’t see this as an issue. I had to wear my jacket inside for over an hour before I finally got in the tub to stay warm.
Very nice place. Stopped in late last night due to snow storm. Warmly greeted very nice room. Big bonus they even blew the snow off my car for me. Ever passing thru here will definitely stay here again
Our visit was okay. We had called ahead the day before to make sure all the pool facilities were in working order. When we arrived the hot tub was closed. We feel the staff were not being honest about the status of the pool facilities because the hot tub was down several days. The pool was not very clean and the water was very low, at least 8 inches lower than it should be. The card readers take about 10 swipes for your room door to open. This was frustrating. The breakfast was very good.
Nice, new modern hotel, with a very nice pool , water slide and hot tub. Hot breakfast too boot makes this my go to place when visiting the area.
Great stay. Clean, comfy beds with fluffy pillows, great shower and lovely breakfast. Check in Check out, fast and easy. Felt safe and pleased with protection used and available during this covid19 pandemic. Staff were friendly and kind. Tons of well lit parking.
My child wanted to know where the emergency exits are. Upon showing him the room map and taking him to the exits we discovered they are locked at all times preventing guests from leaving through these doors.
Large king bed room, huge windows over looking a decent view to the west, friendly staff, pool was closed due to COVID (expected), okay breakfast due to COVID (expected), lots of parking
Stayed one night with kids room is clean and all the staffs are friendly . Breakfast are pre packed with microwavable sandwich with fruit and juice yogurt and granola bar. Kids are happy. 😊. Pool was closed disappointed .
My preferred choice of Hotel in Lac LA Biche. Awesome front office staff, Mr. Hedwig was prompt n courteous checking me in. Was upgraded to a presidential suite, benefits being a Wyndham Club member. Clean spacious rooms, ckeanliness up par by housekeeping team. Thank you Ramada / Wyndham!
What a great hotel. This hidden gem is a great reason to stay in Lac La Biche. The hotel was modern and had a lot of newer amenities as most hotels don’t have. One of the coolest features was that a helicopter landed beside the hotel and stayed there for a few days. Truly a northern Alberta experience meets cosmopolitan rooms.I’d stay here any chance I’d get!
Had an awesome experience here. Ice machine on the 3rd floor was broken so we had to use the one on the second floor, so were the elevator buttons, but the customer service was great, very accommodating. Would recommend
Room key did not work. Had it programmed twice. Had to be let in by front desk. This is a known issue and it is unresolved? Not acceptable. Noisy parking lot, trucks running engines all night. Bed mattress worn out. Have not tried breakfast yet, can’t wait.
Got ATV stolen in the hotel parking lot, while parked right in front of the main entrance. Hotel staff seem indifferent as this appears to be common occurrence in this town. Their security monitoring is non-existent outside of the hotel. They can clearly do more to protect their tenants. Bad for business, I will not be back. Stay at your own risk!
Wouldnt give me the room i had reserved without an hour long argument. Even tho the hotel was near empty.. no digital cable.. staff entered room without knocking before check out time. Gave me a guilt trip about late checkout, even tho, im a diamond member. Clean comfy room, but was tough to enjoy.
Went for a Novice hockey tournament and the hotel staff did a fantastic job helping to entertain and keep our many families happy. Our rooms and the hotel were very well kept, and modern to our surprise. The staff had to bring extra towels for the many people in the pool which was super fun, and in the morning had to keep breakfast coming. Thanks for the great memories and popcorn upon check in!
We stayed here for two nights for a wedding and although it is very new and clean it is lacking in major aspects. The entire front of the building is under construction. Which they dont feel necessary to mention at all, and does not make their prices any cheaper. But the biggest complaint I have is the housekeeping. Firstly they dont knock. They barge in because apparently they only work until noon and dont care if youre staying another night or not. Secondly they stomp around and swear like sailors. The entire hotel has extremely thin walls so you hear every word. Both days of our stay the housekeeper tried to walk right through our door. Had we not had the deadbolt on they would have stormed right in.Finally, the hotel service staff seem to be pretty useless. The night after the wedding we went to request a late check out to be told "the manager just left and told me not to do any of that". Mainly because aforementioned cleaning ladies are only here til noon. Im sorry. YOUR staffing choices and scheduling should NOT affect my options to check out later or not. Will not stay again. The hotel literally across the street has the exact same price and apparently much better service.
Nice to see a newer hotel in this place. Been years since Ive been here. Ufa is across the street so that means truck parking. Its a ramada so what can I say. Decent beds. Alright breakfast. Nice looking exterior. Easy access to get to as its on the bypass around town.
This hotel is the best hotel of all Ramada hotels in the province if not Canada and US. Rooms are clean, and their breakfast is way better than any other Ramada, I vote with my stomach haha. Easy access to highway to fort mac. Ok, not the best, the best is Ramada Sherwood park. They have free pizza day and all you can drink beers on the house at Ramada Sherwood. One time, my company travel agency stated that this place is booked, I called this place directly, and they was able to help me. Just remember to park your truck close to the front lobby there :-)
Mixed feelings but overall good and would stay here again.Pro - great pool, clean rooms, comfortable beds, accommodating staff, large parking lot for those who are towing a boat.Con - Had better continental breakfasts, one playpen for entire hotel - TRIPLE check to make sure it’s not already booked, TRIPLE check your reservations as they thought I was only staying one night.
Stayed here for one night while on a business trip. Clean place and friendly staff. Good pool. The complementary breakfast was excellent, with lots of options.
Stayed for one night for business. The rooms were modern, clean, and generous in size. The upgraded jacuzzi suite was great, large and very comfortable. I got up a bit early and started my day with a 20-minute jacuzzi; great idea to spend some time pampering before a long day.Although the room did not have done of the amenities would expect in a modern room like a built in USB charger, it did have some beautiful furniture like the bed and night side tables and an electric fireplace. The front desk staff was friendly but limited in thier capacity to help with any questions or issues beyond the most basic of concerns.I would recommend a top floor room as I could hear the person walking in thier unit both at night and in the morning.
ConsToilet backed up , desk staff told me this has been an issue for years . When I confronted the staff about it and asked if there was anything they would do after I cleaned up this awful mess . They offered me $25 . As my room had stains on the bedding, we found a pen under the sheets and the shower curtain was crusty and it was coming off in the shower as the water ran .. $25 seemed unfair . After basically calling me a liar , the manager agreed to refund me a night. It has been nearly a week and I have not seen this refund . I have emailed the manager twice and no response . The morning staff seemed unhappy . We checked out at almost 11 am and the cleaning staff encouraged us to stay later so they could get paid over time ... found that a bit odd. There is tarps covering a large portion of the front of the hotel , scaffold and Pails litter the front .The pool was a good size , but water looked very dirty.ProsThe evening staff was friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast had a good selection. There was ample parking. It is close to the Bold Center and other amenities. The rooms are very spacious.
We love this location and stay here 2-3 times per year, mainly for business.Breakfast buffet has many options and is a nice added bonus to our stays.Never have we had an issue with the rooms. Great hospitality!!
If you were told that you could have a room and check in at 4pm but you couldnt use the room for 6 hours and that you would have to wait in another room without access to any of your belongings wearing only your bathing suit you would probably say "No Thanks" and go somewhere else. Well, we were not given that choice. My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 4 and checked in. We settled into the room and decided to go for a swim before dinner. When we returned to our room we discovered that the card key wasnt working and asked for help at the front desk. The desk clerk was an Angel and came right up but her master key didnt work on our lock. She returned with all of the keys she had but nothing would open the door. Dripping in our bathing suits she gave us each a bath robe and put us in a nearby room while she tried to open our door. Our money, keys, food, clothing and medicine were all held hostage. We couldnt go anywhere or do anything that evening. Luckily we didnt have a wedding, conference, or other event to go to. We were given some frozen entrées to eat but it paled in comparison to the menu we hoped to have that evening. The maintenance man arrived, having driven from his vacation site 2 hours out of town. He was very nice and tried everything he could, finally settling on drilling out the lock. It wasnt until after 10pm that he finally was able to enter our room. Our planned evening now gone we went to bed. The next morning we checked out only to find that we were billed the full room rate. When asked about a reduced rate the morning desk clerk was only able to give us the AMA rate which amounted to only a few dollars off our bill. We left and contacted the Wyndham hotel chains help desk. For our ruined evening for which we paid over $160.00 they were only prepared to refund us $40.88. While the hotel staff was great and the rooms nice the response from Wyndham was less than understanding. The response from the hotel itself after I posted my original review was much better. Thanks to the Ramada management for their support.
Hotel is open during renovations. Seems to be a major construction work, but room and common areas were pretty clean. Pool and gym are open and also clean. Under this conditions they should lower their rates. For the same price I could have stayed at Canalta. The AC in my room was defective only the fan was working. Breakfast could be better. Pros: Staff is helpful and nice. Rooms spacious and clean. Pool and gym. Cons: Renovations not mentioned online at the time of booking. Breakfast is included but very limited.
This is a wonderful upgrade in hotels for LLB.I am glad that this hotel was built. Before this one and the BCMI, the choice was pitiful. The Ramada is a nice hotel, with very clean rooms, helpful staff, and an incredible free breakfast. The breakfast alone makes this place worth the stay.Great staff as well!
The room was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi seemed to be fairly fast, even from the 4th floor. There is a pretty decent weight room. There is also a pool but I never made it down to check it out. Will stay here again.
